Abstract:
Background: The handover and transfer of identification often experience a weakness in its implementation and become global problems at the hospital. Objective: This paper focuses on the cause of less optimal implementation of Identification Situation Background Assessment Recommendation (ISBAR) method when conducting handover of nurses among shifts at Army Hospital in Jakarta. Methods: This study employed situation study analysis with a fishbone diagram approach that includes 5M and 1E.Literature review and analysis were utilized to produce recommendation for improving the quality of the ISBAR method implementation when conducting handover of nurses among shifts. Data were obtained from the existing-secondary data, previous research data and data sources from Jakarta Military Hospitals.
Results: Data were analyzed using fishbone, data obtained for the cause was not optimal ISBAR method when nursing handover between shifts. causes the problems identified can be prioritized are no tools monitoring evaluation, there is no definitive monitoring evaluation team, monitoring evaluation implementation of nurse handover within shift, hospital has not been a paperback book about ISBAR, components in the handover format not optimal, and the nurse has not been understood properly ISBAR method.
Conclusion: The research result reveals six causes of the problem. They are: (1) the absence of evaluation monitoring tools, (2) the absence of definite evaluation monitoring team, (3) non optimal handover evaluation monitoring of nurses among shifts,(4) the absence of a pocket book on ISBAR delivery method, (5) non optimal components in the handover format, and (6) nurses’ inability to conduct ISBAR method correctly.Recommendation: propose the ISBAR method of monitoring and evaluating the handover of nurses between shifts, the establishment of an ISBAR method evaluation monitoring team to hand over nurses between shifts, a draft evaluation monitoring tool, making a pocket book about the ISBAR method, the ISBAR component in the nurse handover format, and provide education and roleplay of the ISBAR method when handover of nurses between shifts

Abstract:
AbstractIntroductionClinical handover by Emergency Medical Services (EMS) staff, as the first people who have contact with trauma patients, in the emergency department (ED), is very important. Therefore, effective communication to transfer clinical information about patients in a concise, rational, clear, and time-bound manner is essential. In Iran, the transfer of necessary information in clinical handover in EDs was carried out orally and without following standard instructions. This study aimed to audit the current clinical handover according to the Identify, Situation, Background, Assessment, and Recommendation (ISBAR) tool and survey the effect of training the ISBAR tool to Emergency Medicine Assistants (EMAs) and EMS staff on improvement of the clinical handover of patients to the ED.MethodsThis is a clinical audit study in three phases in Imam Hossein Hospital (Tehran, Iran) during 2016. In the first phase, the clinical handover between EMS staff and EMAs for 178 trauma patients admitted to the ED using ISBAR was audited and information was recorded. In the second phase, the correct approach of clinical handover according to the ISBAR tool was taught to EMS staff and EMAs using pamphlets and lectures. In the third phase, again, the clinical handover between EMS staff and EMAs for 168 trauma patients admitted to the ED was audited using the ISBAR tool and information was recorded. At the end, clinical audit assessment indicators of handover were evaluated before and after training.ResultsClinical audit of the current situation in the ED showed that the clinical handover process does not follow standard ISBAR (0.0%). However, after training, 65.3% of clinical handover processes were performed in accordance with ISBAR. In the current study, there was an increase in all parameters of the ISBAR tool after training, most of which increased significantly compared to the first phase of the study (before the intervention).ConclusionsFindings demonstrate that patient handover in the ED did not initially follow the ISBAR standard guideline. After providing education as pamphlets and lectures to EMS staff and EMAs, a high percentage of patient handovers were conducted in accordance with the ISBAR instructions.Fahim YeganeSA,ShahramiA,HatamabadiHR,Hosseini-ZijoudSM.Clinical information transfer between EMS staff and Emergency Medicine Assistants during handover of trauma patients.Prehosp Disaster Med.2017;32(5):541–547.

Abstract:
Interpersonal communication and teamwork is one of the training objectives of standardized training for residents. The ISBAR (Identify, Situation, Background, Assessment, Request) communication training model can effectively improve physicians’ clinical communication skills and teamwork ability. Our research aims to explore the impact of the ISBAR communication training on the interpersonal communication and teamwork of residents in general practice standardized training. A total of 92 general practitioners (GP) who participated in the Standardized Residency Training in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University in September 2018 were randomly recruited and divided into observation group(n=46) and control group(n=46) using simple random grouping method. GP in the observation group was trained by the ISBAR communication training model, whereas GP in the control group was trained by the traditional clinical education model. Six different scales were used to assess the interpersonal communication ability and teamwork ability of the two groups at different time points. After two weeks of training, the scores of interpersonal communication ability and teamwork ability in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05). ISBAR communication training model may significantly improve the interpersonal communication skills and teamwork ability of residents in general practice standardized training.

Abstract:
ISBAR and effective communication between nurses and doctors Background: The communication errors the main cause of events reported to the United States Joint Commission between 1995 to 2006 of 25000-30000 preventable incidents that cause permanent disability. 11% of these adverse events are due to 6% different communication problems and also because inadequate level of skills. In Indonesia, data on unexpected-events (UEs)) let alone the event of near‐miss events (NMEs) is still scarce, but on the other hand there is an increase in accusations of "mal practice", which is not necessarily in accordance with the final proof, Patient safety targets, the main element of care services to patients is effective communication. At Cibabat hospital uses SBAR communication between nurses and doctors, but there is still an element lacking in the nurse's self-introduction component when calling doctorsPurpose: This study aims to determine the description and effectiveness of ISBAR communication as effective communication between nurses and doctorsMethods: The sample of 79 nurses by survey and another nurses of 45 by observation, it done in ICU and inpatient ward. Surveys Questioners filled up direct by respondents and observation sheets filled up by supervisors through look directly at the moment a communication. The data collected is analyzed by frequency distribution from the results of surveys and all data analized by a statistical test to find the effectiveness of communication with the Wilcoxon TestResults: The survey found that has improved of 80% to 93.3% (ICU) and of 78.1% to 87.5% (Inpatient ward) of the communication component Introduction; by mention the name. Observation results introduction; mention the name of ISBAR communication there was a significant improve from 57.1% to 100% (ICU) and from 20.8% to 79.2% (inpatient ward). Wilcoxon test results were found from observations in ICU with a value of 0.003 (p <0.05) and in the inpatient ward with a value of 0.00 (p <0.05) for the introduction aspect. Therefore, this study found that ISBAR communication more effective than SBAR in terms of mentioning the names in the aspects of IntroductionConclusion: That ISBAR Communication is more effective than SBAR communication in terms of the component of name's Introduction aspect. As a result, ISBAR communication can be implemented as a standard of communication for Cibabat General Hospital and other hospitals.

Abstract:
In Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar (ISAR) systems the motion of the target can be classified in two main categories: Translational Motion and Rotational Motion. A small degree of rotational motion is required in order to generate the synthetic aperture of the ISAR systems. On the other hand, the remaining part of the target&rsquo
s motion, that is any degree of translational motion and the large degree of rotational motion, degrades ISAR image quality. Motion compensation techniques focus on eliminating the effect of the targets&rsquo
motion on the ISAR images. In this thesis, ISAR image generation is discussed using both Conventional Fourier Based and Time-Frequency Based techniques. Standard translational motion compensation steps, Range and Doppler Tracking, are examined. Cross-correlation method and Dominant Scatterer Algorithm are employed for Range and Doppler tracking purposes, respectively. Finally, Time-Frequency based motion compensation is studied and compared with the conventional techniques. All of the motion compensation steps are examined using the simulated data. Stepped frequency waveforms are used in order to generate the required data of the simulations. Not only successful results, but also worst case examinations and lack of algorithms are also discussed with the examples.

Abstract:
Abstract This theme has as main objective to characterize the set of capabilities inherent to an ISTAR unit, namely the principles of employment and operational concept, associated with it and consider how the modules of the BAO may contribute to the operation of this system. ISTAR activities are conducted in all spectrums and the operations can be defined as the coordinated acquisition, processing and dissemination of timely, accurate, relevant and assured information and intelligence which supports the planning and conduct of operations, targeting and the integration of effects and enables commanders to achieve their goals throughout the spectrum of conflict. In order to familiarize the reader with a broad range of concepts, a literature review that includes a concise and objective current status of the various concepts included in the topic question, taking into account the national doctrine and the principles and concept of operations associated with it. In a next step, we focus on personal experiences and case studies to expose the national situation. The BAO is also analyzed in more detail, both in terms of its organization, both in terms of modularity and centralization. Subsequently we conducted a survey of a set of capabilities inherent in an ISTAR unit type, in order to materialize the same within our Army. In the end we present findings from our research in order to answer the central question raised by us, which highlights the need to retool the Weapon Locating Radar Platoon, the Ground Surveillance Radar Platoon and the Meteorological Section. There are still to raise the capability in terms of Acoustic Weapon Locator and UAV.

No geral, foram identificadas 150 menções à contribuições associados a escalabilidade do i*. O mapeamento realizado sintetiza quais estudos possuem informações sobre a escalabilidade do i*.
The iStar language (i*) is a modeling framework applied in Requirements Engineering which was proposed two decades ago. The i * models relate all the participants involved (actors, agents, roles and positions) through relationships of strategic dependencies and intentions (goals, tasks, soft goals and resources). Over the years, scientific reports describe studies on the iStar (i*) and variations of this language and point out that, fundamentally, the i* language has been used to model various domains such as telecommunications, air traffic control, among others. However, in these studies, it was found that several weaknesses and limitations may be observed in the language i *, for example, lack of standardization, different methods of forming, lack of reusability, nonprofessional tools and, among many other challenges we highlights the scalability of their models according to recognized researchers in this study area. Thus, this research maps studies that addressed the question of scalability of the i* and it has as objective to meet: distribution of these studies, settings on the scalability of i *, references to contributions dealing with the subject, the judgments about the scalability of i *, and open issues related to this theme. All information was obtained from a study conducted in the form of systematic mapping of literature, based on a protocol focusing on the scalability of the i*. The studies returned were filtered by criteria for exclusion, inclusion, qualification and grouping of publications. The data were extracted from these studies to support the synthesis and answering to the proposed research questions. In total, were found 119 studies on the i* scalability, of which eleven of them had as its central focus the scalability of i* itself, while ten studies had definition for the term scalability. Thus, nine studies were considered to be of better coverage to answer the research questions. Overall, 150 indications were identified to the contributions associated with the i* scalability. Regarding the ease of scale the i*, 62 of these 119 studies stated that the i* does not have a scalability treated well, while in 93 of those 119 studies were identified open issues regarding the scalability of i*. The mapping performed summarizes what studies have information about the scalability of the i*. This will be useful for future research by facilitating grouping and identification of potential data sources and publications, though noted that the coverage of the studies need to be improved, because only 9 of 119 studies evaluated, actually contributed more to the research questions carried out. Finally, the scale settings and list of publications with contributions will allow comparisons and reuse techniques for scale the i* models.

Abstract:
iStar is a goal-oriented requirements modelling language which has been used by industrial and academic projects of different domains. Modelling languages are commonly extended to add new constructs giving more expressiveness. iStar is often extended to incorporate new constructs. A study performed on iStar extensions identified 96 extensions and the occurrence of problems related to their quality. It was pointed out by experts in iStar extensions the need to propose a way to support the proposal of iStar extensions systematically to prevent the problem occurrence, increase the quality of extensions, and make extension creation a less challenging task. This work investigates how iStar extensions have been created and proposes a systematic way to guide the creation of quality extensions. A process to support the creation of new iStar extensions was proposed. The process was used to propose a new iStar extension and was analysed by experts. The results point to the usefulness of the process to propose new iStar extensions.

Full text
Abstract:
Abstract The measurement of combustion product gas temperature is valuable for the development and control of many combustion systems. In gas turbine engines, measurement of the rotor inlet temperature remains particularly challenging because of harsh operating conditions and limited access. The Integrated Spectral Band Ratio (ISBR) method is a non-intrusive optical emission gas temperature measurement technique suitable for this application. Optical fibers made of sapphire were used to transmit the radiative signal from the post combustion zone to a Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectrometer without the need for probe cooling. The ratio of spectral bands of H2O, nominally 100 cm−1 wide between 4600 and 6200 cm−1 were used to infer temperature. ISBR and thermocouple measurements were obtained during two temperature sweeps; one at high load and one at low load (pressures of 1.2 and 0.7MPa, respectively). The average of three thermocouples 76 mm downstream of the ISBR measurements were consistently on the order of 200 K lower, consistent with a radiative correction and the heat loss between the two measurements. The change in ISBR temperature (95 K) during the sweep was similar to the change in average thermocouple temperature (89 K). Repeatability of the optical measurement at a given operating condition was on the order of ± 15 K and the absolute uncertainty of a single ISBR temperature measurement was estimated to be ± 61 K. A linear correlation with an R-squared value of 0.97 was also found between raw optical signal and thermocouple measurements suggesting that once a calibrated measurement is obtained, changes in gas temperature can be determined using a correlation of the raw signal to produce the temperature.

In ASME 1991 International Gas Turbine and Aeroengine Congress and Exposition. American Society of Mechanical Engineers, 1991. http://dx.doi.org/10.1115/91-gt-166.

Full text
Abstract:
A system for “near-real-time” distortion analysis support of aircraft turbine engine-inlet altitude testing is described. Target applications include both subscale and full-scale inlet-engine compatibility testing in wind tunnel, direct-connect, and free-jet configurations. The system digitizes analog-format, time-dependent data and combines it with digital-format, steady-state data. A high-speed data bus and multiple array processors provide for on-line execution of complex distortion analysis algorithms to compute and display distortion indices, histograms, isobar plots, and surge margin consumption. Analysis algorithms are programmed using a high-level language (FORTRAN 77).
