Kiruba, E. Wiselin, and Ramar K. "Table Substitution Box Method for Increasing Security in Interval Splitting Arithmetic Coding." JOURNAL OF ADVANCES IN CHEMISTRY 13, no. 10 (February 25, 2017): 6552–57. http://dx.doi.org/10.24297/jac.v13i10.5837.

Abstract:
Amalgamation of compression and security is indispensable in the field of multimedia applications. A novel approach to enhance security with compression is discussed in this  research paper. In secure arithmetic coder (SAC), security is provided by input and output permutation methods and compression is done by interval splitting arithmetic coding. Permutation in SAC is susceptible to attacks. Encryption issues associated with SAC is dealt in this research method. The aim of this proposed method is to encrypt the data first by Table Substitution Box (T-box) and then to compress by Interval Splitting Arithmetic Coder (ISAC). This method incorporates dynamic T-box in order to provide better security. T-box is a method, constituting elements based on the random output of Pseudo Random Generator (PRNG), which gets the input from Secure Hash Algorithm-256 (SHA-256) message digest. The current scheme is created, based on the key, which is known to the encoder and decoder. Further, T-boxes are created by using the previous message digest as a key.  Existing interval splitting arithmetic coding of SAC is applied for compression of text data. Interval splitting finds a relative position to split the intervals and this in turn brings out compression. The result divulges that permutation replaced by T-box method provides enhanced security than SAC. Data is not revealed when permutation is replaced by T-box method. Security exploration reveals that the data remains secure to cipher text attacks, known plain text attacks and chosen plain text attacks. This approach results in increased security to Interval ISAC. Additionally the compression ratio is compared by transferring the outcome of T-box to traditional arithmetic coding. The comparison proved that there is a minor reduction in compression ratio in ISAC than arithmetic coding. However the security provided by ISAC overcomes the issues of compression ratio in arithmetic coding.Â

Abstract:
Isaac ben Solomon Ibn al-Ḥadib (or al-Aḥdab) emigrated from Castile to Sicily no later than 1396. In astronomy, his most important work, written in Hebrew, is The paved way ( Oraḥ selula), a set of tables for the motions of the Sun and the Moon. Here, we focus attention on his unusual tables for finding the difference in time and the difference in longitude between mean and true syzygy, where syzygy refers to the conjunction and opposition of the Sun and the Moon. It is shown that he took into account the effect of Ptolemy’s second lunar model on the velocity of the Moon at syzygy, which was done by very few astronomers in the Middle Ages. It is also noteworthy that he took some parameters from the zij of al-Battānī and others from the Parisian Alfonsine Tables, using them inconsistently in these tables.

Abstract:
Alphonse X, King of Castille (1252-1284), sponsored astronomical work previous to the compilation of the Alphonsine Tables, carried out by his two Jewish collaborators Yehudah ben Mosheh and Isaac ben Sid. On the one hand, these tables can be considered the first European attempt to develop original research in astronomy, but on the other hand, an analysis of this work should be concerned, first of all, with its Islamic precedents. This is why I tend to consider the Alphonsine Tables as another zīj which should be studied in the light of what we know concerning the development of Islamic zījes in Medieval Spain. Of these, two seem to be well documented as having been known and used by the Alphonsine collaborators. One of them is al-Battānī’s zīj, the canons of which were translated into Spanish (Bossong, 1978), and which may have been used to compute the solar positions for the end of each month appearing in four Alphonsine works (Astrolabio redondo, Cuadrante para rectificer, Relogio dell agua, and Lámina Universal). These positions have been computed, however, with the Alphonsine Tables themselves. The second zīj known in the Alphonsine circle was al-Zarqalluh’s Toledan Tables, used — as O. Gingerich has established — to compute the solar and planetary positions in the horoscope which was cast to establish the propitious moment to start the Latin translation of Ibn Abī-l-Rijāl’s Kitāb al-bāric fī ahkām al-nujūm (Hilty, 1954, lxii-lxiii).

Abstract:
Abstract This essay is an inquiry into two intermedial installations that address the experiences of people on the run from war or poverty, yet overtly hinder and problematize the viewer’s identification with the depicted refugees. By doing so, Friday Table (2013) by art collective Foundland, and Isaac Julien’s video installation Ten Thousand Waves (2010) differ from the many contemporary discourses dealing with the so-called refugee crisis that suggest a blind assumption of empathy’s benevolence. Taking theoretical texts concerning the relation between empathy, politics and the (lens-based) representation of refugees by, for instance, Slavoj Zizek (2016) and Jill Bennett (2005) as a starting point, I read Friday Table and Ten Thousand Waves as reflections on the pitfalls as well as the critical political possibilities of empathy in contemporary debates on refugees. Moreover, I argue that the two lens-based installations in question are able to examine the limits of empathy and identification with refugees through their common denominator: intermediality. Both Friday Table and Ten Thousand Waves combine lens-based media (photography, video and film) with non-lens-based medial forms such as drawings, graphs and calligraphy. As I will demonstrate, the interplay between different media is decisive when it comes to the way in which the three works of art produce, manage and reflect on the relation between spectators and depicted refugees.

Abstract:
In the article, the current situation and future prospects of transcribing, editing, interpreting, and preparing Isaac Newton’s manuscripts for publication are studied. The author investigates manuscripts from the following Newton’s archives: (1) Portsmouth’s archive (Cambridge University Library, Cambridge, UK); (2) Yahuda collection (National Library of Israel, Jerusalem, Israel); (3) Keynes collection (King’s College Library, Cambridge University, Cambridge, UK); (4) Trinity College archive (Trinity College Library, Cambridge University, Cambridge, UK); (5) Oxford archive (New’s College Library, Oxford University, Oxford, UK); (6) Mint, economic and financial papers (National Archives in Kew Gardens, Richmond, Surrey, UK); (7) Bodmer’s collection (Martin Bodmer Society Library, Cologny, Switzerland); (8) Sotheby’s Auction House archive (London, UK); (9) James White collection (James White Library, Andrews University, Berrien Springs, Michigan, US); (10) St Andrews collection (University of St Andrews Library, St Andrews, UK); (11) Bodleian collection (Bodleian Library, Oxford University, Oxford, UK); (12) Grace K. Babson collection (Huntington Library, San Marino, California, US); (13) Stanford collection (Stanford University Library, Palo Alto, California, US); (14) Massachusetts collection (Massachusetts Technological Institute Library, Boston, Massachusetts, US); (15) Texas archive (Harry Ransom Humanities Research Centre, University of Texas Library, Austin, Texas, US); (16) Morgan archive (Pierpont Morgan Library, New York, US); (17) Fitzwilliam collection (Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge University, Cambridge, UK); (18) Royal Society collection (Royal Society Library, London, UK): (19) Dibner collection (Dibner Library, Smithsonian Institution, Washington D.C., US); (20) Philadelphia archive (Library of the American Philosophical Society, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, US). There is a great discrepancy between what Newton wrote (approx. 350 volumes) and what was published thus far (five works). It is accounted for by a number of reasons: (a) ongoing inheritance litigations involving Newton’s archives; (b) dispersing Newton’s manuscripts in countries with different legal systems, consequently, dissimilar copyright and ownership branches of civil law; (c) disappearance of nearly 15 per cent of Newton works; (d) lack of accordance of views among Newton’s researchers; (e) problems with arranging Newton’s ideas in his possible Collected Works to be published; (f) Newton’s incompliance with the official Anglican doctrine; (g) Newton’s unwillingness to disclose his compositions to the broad public. The problems of transcribing, editing, interpreting, and pre-print preparing Newton’s works, are as follows: (a) Newton’s complicated handwriting, negligence in spelling, frequent misspellings and errors; (b) constant deletion, crossing out, and palimpsest; (c) careless insertion of figures, tables in formulas in the text, with many of them being intersected; (d) the presence of glosses situated at different angles to the main text and even over it; (e) encrypting his meanings, Newton’s strict adherence to prisca sapientia tradition. Despite the obstacles described, transcribing Newton’s manuscripts allows us to understand Sir Newton’s thought better in the unity of his mathematical, philosophical, physical, historical, theological and social ideas.

Abstract:
Abstract This article takes the narrative nature of parables seriously and looks at their role from this perspective. After theorizing the cognition- and cultural role of stories, four meshalim from the Tanhuma Midrashim are studied: ‘Grasshoppers in a jar’ (about the Tower of Babel), ‘Abraham’s circumcision’, ‘The baby on the table’ (about the sacrifice of Isaac), and ‘The calf and its mother’ (about Joseph and the Egyptian exile). The conclusion of this case study is that the role of meshalim is not to interpret the biblical text as such, but to change the audience’s attitude toward the biblical story. For this, the points of agreement between the mashal and the biblical story need only be minimal. In order to effectuate this new attitude, the meshalim in the Tanchuma Midrashim, which are usually based on earlier midrash on the said biblical text, adopt these existing midrashim while at the same time transforming them into new stories that are more suitable for the Tanchuma audience. Usually this amounts to a ‘softening’ of the message of the existing, earlier midrash.

Abstract:
Academic procrastination in students is a determining factor for the success of students in completing their studies. Engagement with the community and the ability of students to organize themselves in learning also play a role in academic procrastination. This study aims to determine the relationship of Sense of Community (SoC) and Self -Regulated Learning (SRL) with Academic Procrastination. The population of this study was all UMSIDA students in the odd semester of 2018-2019 academic year with the total number of 9824 students and the total sample based on Isaac and Michael's table with an 5% error rate were 385 students with a proportioned random sampling technique. Research data collection used three psychological scales, namely the scale of academic procrastination, the scale of the sense of community, and the scale of self-regulated learning. Analysis of research data used was product moment correlation and multiple regression analysis. The results of the analysis show that the Sense of Community and Self-Regulated Learning have a negative relationship with academic procrastination. If students perceive themselves to have a Sense of Community and high Self-Regulated Learning, they will tend to reduce their academic procrastination. However, the Self-Regulated Learning prediction on academic procrastination is higher than the Sense of Community on academic procrastination.

Abstract:
All mathematics of placement in this paper is mathematically absolute and precise by clear mathematics. This paper(section1) is the very basic “synopsis” of an upcoming book by the author “The God of Papa Einstein and Sir Isaac Newton “. It delineates the predictable expanding spirals of the prime numbers and their derivatives, by two cords, that hug the half-line of the 1:3 Pythagoras inverse cone. The inner spiral of all predictable spirals of prime numbers and their derivatives and the outer spiral at the predictable template of a spiral of prime number 5(+10,+20 alternate), which is the exact replicate of the inner spiral of prime numbers and their derivatives. The two spirals expand at two separate predictable geometric intervals, the outer spiral expanding predictably slower than the inner spiral as a replicate in geometric placement and in a sieve . These prime numbers and their derivatives ( Pseudo prime numbers) are sieved by placement in the continuum by a predictable formula demonstrated by the table at the end of this paper. In a separate exhaustive (Section 11) of this paper to be submitted separately, the author along with a contributing physicist discusses the synopsis of the patent configuration of prime numbers at the 1:3 cone, that is the genesis of the curvature of space and format -1 zero by the placement of prime numbers and their derivatives .”The mother of all science is mathematics”, this paper celebrates that dictum.

Abstract:
Background:Scleroderma renal crisis (SRC) prevalence is decreasing. However, no Systemic Sclerosis (SSc) patient’s registry has evaluated that decrease over time. No treatment have been able to prevent SRC development. Objectives:Primary objective: to identify SRC prevalence in 2 periods in the RESCLE(Registro deESCLErodermia) registry. Secondary objective: to idenfy which features could justify that change on SRC prevalence. Methods:Up to December 2018, 1937 SSc patients were included by 31 referral centers in RESCLE registry. SRC prevalence and incidence in diagnosed patients before and after 2003 was determined. Clinical characteristics of diagnosed patients in each period of time were analysed to identify differences between them. Results:Out of 1937 SSc, 43 (2.2%) developed SRC. Prevalence of SRC before and after 2003 was 3.5% and 1.08%. SRC Incidence: Graphic 1. Significant differences between Pre-2003 vs. Post-2003 SSc cohorts were found in univariate analysis: Table 1 and 2.Table. 1.Univariate analysisPre-2003(%)Post-2003(%)Demographic datalcSSc6359dcSSc2815ssSSc6.414Early SSc1.13.3Very early SSc1.99.6Age at SSc dx49.1(±15.2)y55.0(±15.6)yTime from SSc dx to SRC1.1(0.2-4.3)y0.6(0.1-1.5)yACR/EULAR 2013 criteria9986ComorbiditiesSmoked2037Arterial hypertension3529Diagnostic proceduresPAPs >40mmHg by Echocardiography3825Not-sclerodermal pattern at VCS8.919Lupus anticoagulant124.8Prognostic featuresOverall mortality2911ILD-related death101.6Conclusion:SRC Prevalence and Incidence has decreased.
