Abstract:

Abstract:
This study aims to find a model of human relations with God in the Islamic libraries of Kejawen in Simuh’s view. Simuh introduce the Javanese Islamic literature referred to literature was written by Javanese Islamic leaders in the early of Islam in Java. The literature contains many Islamic teachings manifested in the language and worldview of the Javanese people. To find this relation, this research uses quantitative methods with literature study research techniques. To achieve the expected analysis, this study also uses the hermeneutic method. This study concludes that Simuh's reading of the Javanese Islamic literature concerning human relations with God has an anthropocentism style. Humans become the main axis in every concept of Sufism. To achieve the perfection of this relationship, humans first take inner behavior (laku batin), so that morality can be formed. This moral implementation will then lead humans to achieve oneness, so that they become perfect human beings. With the concept of anthropocentric Sufism, this study finds its relevance to previous research which states that the Javanese Sufism style has differences with the Islamic Sufism style which is theocentric.

Abstract:
This study investigates the matter of the compatibility between International Humanitarian Law and Islamic concept of Jihad. The proponents of the theory of the acceptability of International Humanitarian Law in an Islamic context have been presenting the similarities between International Humanitarian Law and Islam. The opponents have been trying to point out the differences between International Humanitarian Law and Islam, especially on the violent concept of Jihad. This study looks at the theories of the existence or non-existence of a fundamental conflict between International Humanitarian Law and Islam by analysing the views of different schools of thoughts and rules of International Humanitarian Law in the context of Islamic Law of War (Jihad). The lack of the availability of a satisfactory study on the matter provides justification for the present study that aims to address the gap by making an important contribution to the knowledge in this area. The data for this study has been collected by using both primary and secondary sources of data collection. The primary data has been collected through this study. The available literature on the same topic has been collected as secondary data through libraries, books, journals, articles and using the internet sources. The analyses of the data lead us to the point where the relationship between International Humanitarian Law and Islam becomes clear and an assessment is made about the compatibility of International Humanitarian Law with Islam, on the Islamic concept of Jihad, that rejects the existence of a fundamental conflict between International Humanitarian Law and Islam.

Abstract:
The arrangement of Islamic law in the Indonesian legal system, which is manifested in statutory regulations, is an indication that Islamic law has become part of the Indonesian legal system. This is interesting when viewed using Thomas Aquinas' legal theology which introduces a legal dichotomy based on its sources, namely lex aeterna, lex naturalist, and lex humana. The dichotomy becomes a perspective to see at what level Islamic law is embedded in the Indonesian legal system. This research examines the existence of arrangement of Islamic law in statutory regulations from the perspective of legal theology, with research questions: (a) What is the justification for the arrangement of Islamic law substance in the Indonesian legal system? (b) How is the arrangement of the substance of Islamic law in the Indonesian legal system when viewed from the teachings of Thomas Aquinas' legal theology? This is normative legal research, by analyzing secondary data in the form of laws and libraries related to the arrangement of Islamic law and the teachings of the legal theology of Thomas Aquinas. The results indicate that the justification for the arrangement of the substance of Islamic law in the Indonesian legal system has a strong foothold because it is stated in the Pancasila "God Almighty" and Article 29 of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia. The teachings of legal theology of Thomas Aquinas show that arrangement of the substance of Islamic law in statutory regulations does not necessarily reduce the degree of Islamic law, because the substance of Islamic law in statutory regulations does not transform lex aeterna into lex humana.

Abstract:
The hammams (or Islamic bath-houses), commonly known as ‘Turkish baths’, are one of the key urban facilities in Islamic cities. They evolved from the Roman and Byzantine public baths, as these were assimilated when the Umayyad dynasty conquered Byzantine territories in the Middle East between AD 661 and 750. Early hammams were built in the eighth century by the Umayyad rulers who established their capital in Damascus. The most famous ones are Qusayr Amra, in today's north-eastern desert of Jordan and Khirbat al Mafjar. The period following the rise of Islam witnessed a rapid development in the architecture of baths and the change from Roman to Islamic bathing habits. Public Roman baths consisted of very large establishments, the thermae, which comprised not only bathing facilities but also recreational ones such as libraries, gymnasiums, exercise grounds and gardens, tanning rooms, ball courts and concert halls. The balnea were the smaller privately or publicly owned Roman baths, located in greater number within the city.

Abstract:
Leadership in Islam becomes a very interesting discussion to be discussed anytime and anywhere. Especially some time ago in Indonesia there had been a furious conversation about non-Muslim leadership. Speaking of non-Muslim leadership, of course, the Ulama from classical to contemporary times have a lot of views and opinions. Starting from the scholars who are pro with non-Muslim leadership and not a few who reject the existence of leaders from non-Muslim groups. We will review this discussion based on the Koran and Hadith. For the verses of the Koran we will focus on the QS. Al-Maidah verse 51, because that verse has been viral for some time and has become a trending topic in Indonesia. The method used in this paper is to use qualitative methods and extract data through research libraries. The Classical Ulama tend to reject non-Muslim leadership on the basis of maintaining the Islamic faith. While contemporary scholars tend to accept non-Muslim leadership with the assumption that what happened then and now is different, especially the presence of human rights makes everyone have the same rights when they want to or are a leader while still paying attention to existing restrictions. Keywords: Leadership, Non-Moeslim, and Islam.

Abstract:
This article interprets the narratives of sex manuals produced within the Malay-Indonesian archipelago before the coming of Western colonialism and the dawn of postcolonial Islamic resurgence. In the collection of Malaysian libraries and museums, these manuscripts are largely classified as Kitab Jimak and Kitab Tib. They are all written in the Malay language with indigenous references, though the contents are likely derived from a common genre of texts transmitted from an early Arab-Islamic world and circulated within the region before the coming of European colonialism. The corpora of sexual knowledge in these texts emphasises the valorisation of sexual pleasure in conjugal relationships. Through an extensive list of prescriptions—from sexual techniques to diet, food taboos, medicine, pharmacopoeia, mantras, charms, and astrological knowledge—a near-sacral sexual experience is aspired. Couples are guided in their attainment of pleasure (nikmat) through the adherence of Islamic ethics (akhlak), rules (hukum), and etiquette (tertib). The fulfilment of women’s desire in the process is central in these observances. Nevertheless, despite placing much emphasis on mutual pleasure, these texts also contain ambiguous and paradoxical pronouncements on the position of women, wavering from veneration to misogyny. The article also highlights how intertextual studies of similar texts throughout the Islamic world can be a new focus of studies on the early history of gender and sexuality in Islam.

The purpose of this study is to understand the nature of Sufism as an ethics of liberation and how to position Islam as a moral teaching. The background of this study is the inequality due to spiritual poverty that has penetrated into various aspects of human life depicted in the decline and even a moral degradation implicating the crisis that result in the fragility of the joints of human life The methodology used in this research is qualitative descriptive approach. The data were collected through literature studies and libraries related to the concept of Sufism in Islam in relation to the formation of human morality. The results of this study show that Sufism is one's attempt to get closer to God as closely as possible. The beginning of the emergence of the Sufism teachings was started along with the Islamic religion itself since the apostolic event of Prophet Muhammad SAW. Before Muhammad was appointed an apostle, he has repeatedly performed Tahannuts and khalwat in the Hira Cave. When he offered tasawwuf in modern life, was not an offer to abandon the practical life of the world, but how the 'mortal' and practical world life is intended as a means of achieving pleasure and devotion to the Divine. Thus, the mortal 'has the value of immortality, where the mortality chooses the dimension ending Based on the results of the study, authors concluded two things. First, Sufism is not a form of escapism or escape from the life of the world, but asceticism breaks away from earthly fetters. Second, the teaching of Islam which is the religion of morality serves as a protector that provides composure and peaceful life.

Dutch power in Indonesia is being intensified with the mission of Christianization. Traditional methods of suppressing Islam are considered not capable of being a solution to various problems faced by Muslims. For this reason Ahmad Surkati came to Indonesia at Jamiat Khair's request to teach. Then there was a dispute between Ahmad Surkati and other Jamiat Khair figures. This is what causes Ahmad Surkati to leave the Khair Jamaah. Then joined the non-sayyid group to establish an Islamic organization which was given the name Al-Ershad. With the aim of renewing Muslims in Indonesia. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method. While the types and sources of data used in the study are qualitative data that are sourced from primary and secondary data. From the results of the analysis, it can be seen that Ahmad Surkati is one of the leaders of Islamic reformers in Indonesia originating from Sudan. His arrival in Indonesia on the basis of Jamiat Khair's request as a teaching staff, namely in 1911. Later he founded the Association of Al-Ershad in 1914 as a place to carry out a movement for renewal. Ahmad Surkati's renewal ideas were much influenced by the renewal movements carried out by Muhammad Abduh and Rashid Ridha in Egypt. Among the innovations carried out by Ahmad Surkati can be identified through three fields. First, in the field of education, he modernized Al-Irsyad's education in all aspects, both institutionally, educational goals, curriculum content, methods and approaches and libraries for schools. Second, the field of da'wah, he founded idārat al-haq, and carried out da'wah with three ways of preaching at once, namely bi al-hāl, bi al-lisān and bi al-qalam. Third, the socio-religious field, he socializes the notion of equality of degrees, cooperates with other organizations to improve the condition of the ummah, and provides solutions about religious issues raised by the community.

Abstract:
Prayer is one of the pillars of Islam, therefore the importance of the command of the Prayer from the beginning applied by the Prophet has its own wisdom. In this case, this writer wants to study the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad about the command of prayer. Using the Takhrij Hadith method, the hadith can be known whether he belongs to the Shohih Hadith or the Dhaif Hadith. This is very important because the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad is the second source of law in Islam, of course this is very influential in Islamic law. Therefore this paper aims to clarify the status of a hadith which explains the command of prayer for children. ` Takhrij hadith the author will use the dictionary Takhrij hadith namely Kitab Mu'jam al-Mufahraz. After each of the narrators will be examined one by one, so that the hadith to be studied can be traced whether this hadith is dhaif or Shahih If the results are shohih, then it will give confidence that educating children from a small age, especially prayer, is the guidance of the true Prophet. If the hadith is of value, then the hadith can still be used to motivate children about the prayer service. The reason for writing this article is because there are so many who doubt the credibility of a hadith that causing hadith to be one of the "soft" debates to lead to Islamic credibility, one of which is Ignaz Goldziher who doubts the Tafsir traditions. Therefore the takhrij method wants to prove that the hadith about the command of prayer is the hadith of Shohih or the hadith of Dhaif. In a review of the literature this research has been conducted in various online libraries, the author gets four research titles, namely three of them thesis and one writing in a journal. The mobilization process related to the leadership process is carried out by the school principal. Mobilization related to job description is carried out with instructions from the Head of Library. Although there are no binding supervision standards, as a form of responsibility the head of the library makes a report every 6 months and the end of the school year is addressed to the principal. However, there are still some obstacles that hamper the process of management in the library; 1) The availability of computers and internet services is still not available to support better management and library services 2) Knowledge of the classification of Islam that should have been determined in Islamic-based school libraries.

Abstract:
In the XXth Century, the da’wa problems that emerged in South Sumatra were the spread of fundamentalism and the cult of persona, the diversity of religious articulations, the vulnerability in the internal environment of religious communities, the plurality of political, social, and religious atmosphere so that they became polemic among academicians, the clergy split into two groups, changes in religious traditions and religious life that are complex, the Muslims of South Sumatra are in position of weakness, poverty, and suffering, because of western imperialism, issues of justice, ideology, and power. Some preachers (Da,i)in South Sumatra appeared to respond and carry out the Da’wa bi al-lisanl, bi al-kitabah, and bi al-hal. Among the preachers (da’i) are K.H. Anwar Kumpul (1902-1959) represented an independent preacher (free), K.H. Zainal Abidin Fikry represents the government representative, K.H. M. Zen Syukri represents a representative of the NU organization. These three preachers (da’i) are actively building social harmony in different societies of educational and economic status, religious harmony, building an orderly, peaceful, and comfortable society, stopping the people of South Sumatra from making God and Islam as masks of the greed of power and material wealth, glue various differences in society and make it a means for mutual understanding, tolerance, and mutual love. In addition, they also play role in building theoretical and experimental civilizations which include ideas, norms, religious activities, establishing places of worship, educational institutions, libraries, roads, and producing books.

A Compilation of islamic law “Kompilasi Hukum Islam”, which was ratified through Presidential Instruction (or now decree) No. 1 of 1991, is a modern codification of Islamic individual and family law that becomes the standard of judges' reference in resolving cases in religious courts. One of the critical parts of KHI is inheritance, which is the main focus of this paper. The article on inheritance in KHI is interesting for further review because it has a different legal provision to fiqh or qanun. Through the study of libraries with a philosophical approach, this paper intends to analyze the provisions that become a barrier to inheritance from the perspective of Maqāṣid al-Sharia. This study shows that the obstacles to obtaining inheritance for reasons of persecution and slander, as mentioned in article 173 KHI, are some barriers to one obtaining inheritance that are not discussed as a barrier to inheritance in the classic fiqh book of severe persecution and slander. Through literature research, it is understood that the decree of persecution and slander is a barrier to inheritance in line with the Maqāṣid al-Sharia, namely to protect the soul (hifz al-nafsi), then guard the property (hifz al-māl) and further maintain self-respect (hifz al-'Ird) Thus. However, severe persecution and slander are not listed in classical Islamic jurisprudence as a barrier to inheritance. With the study of Maqāṣid al-Sharia, these two things are very appropriate to be applied in the rule of inheritance law, especially in Indonesia, so that these two acts cause very much harm to the victim (heir).

Abstract:
Abstract Late antique Alexandria is much better known than the early Islamic city. To be fully appreciated, the transition must be contextualized against the full range of Afro-Eurasiatic commercial and intellectual life. The Alexandrian schools ‘harmonized’ Hippocrates and Galen, Plato and Aristotle. They also catalyzed Christian theology especially during the controversies before and after the Council of Chalcedon (451) that tore the Church apart and set the stage for the emergence of Islam. Alexandrian cultural dissemination down to the seventh century is here studied especially through evidence for the city’s libraries and book trade, together with the impact of its educational curriculum from Iran to Canterbury. After the Arab conquest, Alexandria turned into a frontier city and lost its economic and political role. But it became a city of the mind whose conceptual legacy fertilized not only Greek scholarship at Constantinople, but also Arabic science and philosophy thanks to the eighth- to ninth-century Baghdadi translation movement. Alexandria emanated occult energies too, thanks to the Pharos as variously misunderstood by Arabic writers, or the relics of its Christian saints, not least the Evangelist Mark, surreptitiously translated to Venice in 828-29. Study of the astral sciences too - astronomy but also astrology - was fertilized from Alexandria, as far afield as India and perhaps China as well as Syria, Baghdad and Constantinople. Egypt’s revival by the Fatimids, who founded Cairo in 961, had little impact on Alexandria until about the end of the eleventh century when, for a time, the city attracted Sunni scholars from as far away as Spain or Iran, while commerce benefited from the rise of the Italian merchant republics and the beginning of the Crusades. While the early caliphate had united a vast zone from Afghanistan to the Atlantic, the eleventh century saw a reemergence of late antique distinctions between the Iranian plateau, Syro-Mesopotamia, and the two Mediterranean basins. Alexandria was one of the points where these worlds intersected, though sub-Saharan Africa, to which it formally belonged, remained largely beyond its horizon until the twentieth century.

Abstract:
This study focuses constructively on the polemics in the COVID-19 pandemic impact households that plague the world. China, for example, invites high divorce cases during the period of emergency orders in force. In Malaysia, during the movement control order (PKP), complaints of conflict or domestic violence to the Malaysian Islamic Development Department (JAKIM) received a high response from wives. This indicates the existence of domestic conflict on a large scale. Thus, this study coincides to examine the causes and factors of domestic violence conflict. The second objective is to identify the rights of the wife in the household and third, to propose the standard procedure of a caring household to the State Islamic Religious Affairs Department. This study uses a qualitative methodology. Content analysis methods are used with materials that are largely sourced from libraries consisting of primary and secondary data. The main data is collected from the book of fiqh to explain the rights and responsibilities of the wife in the household. Secondary data based on published material, such as textbooks, journal articles, online databases and the Internet. For analysis, this study uses a combination of data analysis methods, namely descriptive, critical and comparative approaches. The findings show that there are elements of narcissism and gaslighting in the domestic crisis that have a harmonious impact on household institutions. Movement control orders also contribute as a strong factor in the conflict experienced by married couples. Therefore, a standard operating procedure mechanism for caring households needs to be established at the level of the State Islamic Religious Affairs Department to protect the rights of the wife and then develop a strong and strong character to avoid the shackles of negative marriage institutions.

Abstract:
Oleh karena itu, tujuan penilitian ini adalah untuk membuktikan bahwa tidak semua orang-orang Arab yang datang ke Nusantara khususnya di Betawi, bertujuan hanya untuk berdagang dan mencari keuntungan materi semata.---Abstract Hadrami Arab community in Batavia felt immense role for the Betawi people, not only famous since ancient expertise in the fields of politics and trade, but also in the socio-religious. Concrete manifestation of the role played by the Arabs was seen once when entering the early twentieth century, namely the establishment of a modern organization that is engaged in socio-religious named Jamiat Kheir. This organization is famous not only for its success establishing modern schools and gave birth to Islamic figures is important, but also because of the socio-religious activities are realized in the form of the establishment of several orphanages, Islamic centers, taklim, printing and also public facilities such as; libraries, mosques, and hospitals. The campaign was still going on today in the program activities carried out by al-Rabita al-Alawiyyah. This fact is quite become a rebuttal to the statement of a prominent Western orientalists namely, LWC Van den Berg followed by the orientalists such as KA Steenbrink and C. Snouck, which states that the primary motivation of the Arabs came to the archipelago are for trade and looking for material gains alone. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to prove that not all Arabs who came to the archipelago, especially in Betawi, aiming only to trade and seek material gains alone.

Mawlana Mawdudi (may Allah be pleased with him) has made a verythought-provoking remark in his introduction to “Al Jihad fd Islam7 He writes:“It is a natural weakness of human beings. If one is defeated in a battlefieldhe is also overwhelmed in the field of knowledge. He cannot contest inpenmanship with one by whose sword he has been defeated.”lThe inferiority of Muslims in the intellectual domain is well documentedand does not need any elaboration. Now it is the task of Muslim scholarsto take up the challenge of redressing the imbalance. One area of scholarshipoften neglected by scholars is library science. The task required to Islamize science calls for immense intellectualcapacity. One should be expert not only in the field of library science butshould also possess deep insight into the faith of Islam, its culture, andcivilization. It is only through the combination of these qualities that a newcreative discipline can be produced.Library science, as developed in the West, is bound to reflect the imageof Western civilization. Subject classification, the rules for cataloguing, listsof subject headings and other techniques employed to exploit literature allportray the Western way of life.Islam has its own world view of human affairs and Islamic literaturenaturally will reflect this world view. To restrict Islam under the heading“religion” following the Western conceptualization violates the very basicconcepts of Islamic principles. The response of librarians when faced withthis challenge is to adapt the existing classification. Though such adaptationsmay be useful they not only hopelessly fail to tackle the real problem, butdistort and disfigure the serene harmony of Islamic values. Abstract:
Kata Kunci: Pluralisme, Al-quran dan Implementasi Pendidikan Islam ABSTRACT The attitude of the Qur'an to the Plurality of religion is so clear and is the sunnatullah. Religious pluralism is a historical reality that no one can deny. The plurality of religions in Islam is accepted as a historical reality which is actually colored by the plurality of human life itself, whether plurality in thinking, feeling, living or acting. Therefore, the concept of religious pluralism according to the Quran can be implemented in Islamic education. This research is studied in the form of literature review (Librarian research) with qualitative method with thematic Tafsir approach. In the Qur'aan there is a verse that justifies the plurality of Religion but Religious Pluralism is not justified because the understanding of Religious Pluralism according to the Orientalists is all the same religion, but the concept of Al-Qur'an Plurality is to justify the existence of another religion but the concept of truth according to Al- Qur'an The most true religion is Islam. But the implementation of Islamic education according to Al-Qur'an, Islam teaches the concept of Ukhuwah Islamiyah, where therein Ukhuwah Al-U'budiyah and Ukhuwah Al-Insaniyah are the brotherhood of fellow Beings and brotherhood of fellow human beings. Abstract:
Ever since Joseph Schacht, whose book An Introduction to Islamic Law is on the short list of books on Middle East law, said that Islamic law is the epitome of Islamic thought, in other words, you can't understand Islam without understanding Islamic law, Middle Eastern studies and their journals invariably include classical Islamic law in their coverage of the subject with little attention given to modern legislation. This is particularly obvious in the bibliography of periodical literature which disregards the increasing number of studies on the modern law of the Middle East appearing in law journals. Even entries described as positive law, a category recently added to John and Marianne Makdisi's eminently useful compilation on Islamic law, comes no closer to giving a realistic picture of the applicable law. To illustrate what I mean, titles under positive law dealing with insurance, banking, and interest, concentrate on Islamic law's position on these subject-matters at a time when modern legislation in most Arab states has completely discarded that position.
