Abstract:
Salah times are prayer times when Muslims perform Salah. The term is primarily used for the five daily prayers including the Friday prayer, which is normally Dhuhr prayer but on Fridays it is obligated to be prayed in a group. Muslims believe the salah times were taught by Allah to Muhammad. Prayer times are standard for Muslims in the world, especially the fajr prayer times. They depend on the condition of the Sun and geography. There are varying opinions regarding the exact salah times, the schools of Islamic thought differing in minor details. All schools of thought agree that any given prayer cannot be performed before its stipulated time.Muslims pray five times a day, with their prayers being known as Fajr (dawn), Dhuhr (aftermidday), Asr (afternoon), Maghrib (after sunset), Isha (nighttime), facing towards Mecca. The direction of prayer is called the qibla; the early Muslims initially prayed in the direction of Jerusalem before this was changed to Mecca in 624 CE, about a year after Muhammad's migration to Medina. The timing of the five prayers are fixed intervals defined by daily astronomical phenomena. For example, the Maghrib prayer can be performed at any time after sunset and before the disappearance of the red twilight from the west. In a mosque, the muezzin broadcasts the call to prayer at the beginning of each interval. Because the start and end times for prayers are related to the solar diurnal motion, they vary throughout the year and depend on the local latitude and longitude when expressed in local time. In modern times, various religious or scientific agencies in Muslim countries produce annual prayer timetables for each locality, and electronic clocks capable of calculating local prayer times have been created. In the past, some mosques employed astronomers called the muwaqqits who were responsible for regulating the prayer time using mathematical astronomy.

Abstract:
This paper examines the role of Islamic religious education teachers in improving the discipline of congregational prayers. The author focuses this paper on the role of Islamic religious education teachers in improving the discipline of congregational prayers. Teachers play an important role in guiding student behavior to achieve learning goals. The same is true in carrying out prayer services, because a teacher is not only a facilitator who is obliged to provide information about various matters regarding knowledge. Islamic religious education is a professional educator who has the task of educating, teaching and guiding students in schools in understanding and practicing Islamic religious teachings. Discipline is an exercise in forming or perfecting and carrying out certain patterns of behavior to comply with rules or regulations accompanied by awareness and sincerity. Discipline in carrying out congregational prayers is perfecting or carrying out congregational prayers on time. Discipline in prayer means practice that forms, straightens, or perfects the implementation of prayer both in the procedure for carrying it out and in the discipline of its implementation. Discipline in prayer can also mean efforts to shape one's behavior to be disciplined in prayer implementation, both movement, reading and also the time of its implementation. Therefore, Islamic religious education teachers play a very important role and have a function in increasing the discipline of praying in congregation of students..

Abstract:
This study aims to: (i) know the valid requirements of Friday prayers; and (ii) analyze the validity of Friday prayers by online from the perspective of Islamic law. This research is qualitative descriptive research with library study techniques and theological-normative (syar’ī) and philosophical approaches. The results of study show that: (i) Friday prayer is a mandatory worship based on the Qur'an, Sunnah and ijmak, which have the pillars and conditions that must be observed for the sake of validity; (ii) the implementation of Friday prayers y online is invalid. At least this can be reviewed from two aspects; first, aspects of the basic principles and objectives derived from Islamic sharia (maqāṣid al-syarī'ah), where keeping Friday prayers in accordance with the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad saw. became part of hifzu al-dīn (keeping religion) so that it should not change the pattern of Friday prayer that the original law is a whole building. Islamic law has given rukhsah for every Muslim who is obliged to pray Friday prayer to replace it with Zuhr prayer when there is something that prevents it; second, the aspect of Islamic jurisprudence review, where Friday prayers require the existence of prayer congregations and is not validly performed individually. Analogizing online Friday prayers with online marriage contracts is incorrect because the law of qiyas must be analogous to the original law that has direct evidence and should not be to legal products or other qiyas results.

This article aims to reveal the historical aspect of eliminating zawā’id takbir at the Darul Istiqamah Islamic Boarding School Makassar. This type of research is qualitative with a normative-historical approach. The data sources for this research are primary and secondary data. The results showed that the implementation of the eid prayer at the Darul Istiqamah Islamic Boarding School in Makassar still had many similarities with the implementation of the eid prayer in the general public, especially in Indonesia. The difference only lies in the practice of zawā’id takbir, where the Darul Istiqamah Islamic Boarding School Makassar does not practice zawā’id takbir in the eid prayers because the hadith that is the basis for zawā’id takbir is weak. There are still some Muslims who have doubts whether the eid prayer without zawā’id takbir is still valid or not, whether indeed zawā’id takbir was never exemplified by the Prophet. even so, Muslims still show a good attitude, they are not anti to the eid prayer there, never protest or stay away from the pesantren. Even though the four madhhab priests recommend the practice of zawā’id takbir in the eid prayers, none of them oblige it. The law is sunnah not in harmony, so if someone prays eid without zawā’id takbir , the prayer is still valid. Abstract:
This research was conducted in order to reveal the details and details of the history of prayer history in the interpretation of Ibn Kathir. In this study, several important conclusions can be taken, First, prayer actually has been long before Islam came, as evidenced by the practices of prayer performed by Pagan around the Ka'bah in certain different ways and relationships with the way of Islamic prayer compilation comes. Second, from the interpretation data that the writer can convey the period of the stipulation of prayer in the interpretation of Ibn Kathir into two, namely the obligation prayer before Isra` and Mi`raj, and obliation prayer by Isra` and Mi`raj. To pray before Isra` and Mi`raj, the Messenger of Allah had performed the evening prayer through Surat al-Muzzammil sentence 1 and prayed in the morning and evening with the anatomy of the raka`at prayer only two raka`at-dua raka`at, because of Isra `and Mi`raj as the beginning of the five-day prayer period, raka`at prayer still consists of two raka`at, the prayer provisions are fourteen raka`at fix the Prophet's compilation in Medina, by providing the two prayers raka`at is given to those who is on the way (Safar) and prayer with four raka`at is intended for the settled. Abstract:
The most significant and comprehensive form of service to God among Muslims is the daily prayer (Ar. salah; Persian. namaz). The daily prayer introduces discipline into the spiritual life not only of individuals but also of the Muslim society. The physical and conceptual components of the daily prayer reveal various aspects of the significance of this ritual in Islam. In this paper, we explore the philosophy of the daily prayer and its essence due to which the prayer is required by Sharia law. Deeper understanding of the daily prayer presented in Islamic source texts represents prayer as a gradual and comprehensive developmental path of the soul, which is all the more necessary for the believer, the higher his spiritual position. Performing daily prayer together in mosques is strictly recommended in Islamic traditions. Cultural activities originating from religious gatherings manifest the social aspect of the daily prayer. As the knowledge of the essence of the prayer is more deeply rooted among believers, the presence of religious culture is more pronounced in common prayers even beyond that time. The daily prayer is an Islamic identity that is constantly displayed in the life of Muslim believers. The interpretation of the essence of the daily prayer as a ritual that lasts only a few minutes a day stems from insufficient knowledge of Islamic Sharia. The subject of this paper is based on the rational interpretation of Sharia regulations, which is why we are methodologically more committed to the original Islamic texts and ideas of representatives of rational scientific disciplines in Islam. The study of the purposes and intentions of Sharia precepts has a long and rich tradition among Muslim scholars.

Abstract:
The quality of formal education institutions in Indonesia has been questioned again in effectiveness as more and more cases of fights are heard among students. Conversely, from behind the world of education Islamic boarding schools hardly heard the same case. Of course this is very interesting to study more deeply because surely in the system and method of Islamic boarding schools there are educational materials that are able to form a noble character. The success of Islamic boarding schools to print students who are moral and virtuous cannot be separated from one aspect of the educational material of Islamic boarding schools in the form of congregational prayers performed by santri sincerely. Prayer jama'ah and the aurad reading afterwards diistiqam together together every five times a day and have a very significant role in shaping the mentality of the child has a soul of high solidarity. The momentum of togetherness in congregational prayer is like a therapy. Jama'ah prayer can foster an atmosphere that freezes into liquid. Through this "therapy" each individual establishes verbal and non verbal communication. They coexist and touch each other, so that they can avoid feeling alienated. The superiority of the congregational prayer in fostering the value of the solidarity of the people lies in the process of discipline regulating and straightening the shaf or rows of congregational prayer. If a group of people are accustomed to performing prayers in congregation with good prayers, then this condition will naturally encourage a strong sense of community or solidarity among them. Conversely, if their shaf is not good, of course it also affects the reduced value of solidarity. Especially for those who do not perform congregational prayer.

This research is discussed to find out the importance of prayer as a means of communication with the Creator. Prayer is intended as worship to Allah SWT. Prayer is the essence of worship. This is like the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad which reads "Prayer is Worship". Therefore, it is proper for us as creatures to multiply prayers. Prayer is the most important theme in the Qur'an as it has been taught by the Prophets and Messengers of Allah, and all kinds of prayers for all matters have been enshrined in the Qur'an. The urgency of prayer in Islamic teachings is to show that a human being is a weak creature as well as evidence of human powerlessness. Through prayer, all forms of requests for Allah are granted if we are able to open a good means of communication with the Creator.

Qira'ats present a very significant study of the Qur'an in terms of understanding and interpreting the Qur'anic text. They are not only exotic styles of voice variations and modulation, but an integral part of the language of the Qur'an, its lexical, morphological and syntactic structure. Understanding that aspect is a prerequisite for a correct interpretation of the greatest part of the Qur'anic text. The Qur'an is the first source of Islamic law. Based on its text, general and specific Sharia norms were derived. This aspect of the Qur'an has always been a subject of interest for numerous Islamic scholars in the context of the interpretation of normative ayats – ayat al-ahkam. The Exalted Allah orders Muslims to keep their prayers, perform them at a certain time, and in particular, the middle prayer. There are different opinions of Islamic scholars regarding the dilemma: which is the middle prayer? Following the Hadith of the Prophet of Allah, s .a.w.s., we find out it is the Asr prayer. Furthermore, the hazrat Aisha 's narration and the Qira'at Ubejj ibn Ka'ba confirmed the attitude of the majority of Islamic scholars that the middle prayer is the Asr prayer. This paper presents the Sharia-legal comments of well-known Islamic scholars about prayer regulations, but only from the aspect of Qira'ats. In addition, the paper shows how and to what extent Islamic scholars relied on Qira'ats while establishing, deriving and presenting Sharia norms, starting from the fact that Mezhep- legal dispute, to a certain extent, arouse from different Qira'ats, as well as from different morphological, grammatical and stylistic analyses.

Abstract:
The tool for calculating prayer times continues to develop. Likewise, there are several different formulas for calculating prayer times, both with the addition of altitude correction and without altitude correction. This article uses the prayer time formula which takes into account altitude corrections into an application called Islamic Astro Time which uses Matlab programming with solar data from the astronomical algorithms formula by Jean Meeus. This article is an experimental qualitative with descriptive analysis. This article finds that the calculation of prayer times in the Islamic Astro Time application using varying altitude levels results in different times. The difference in results starts from 2 minutes at a building height of 250 meters to more than 2 minutes depending on the level of height. The higher the position of the person praying, the greater the difference between the start of the prayer and the lower place. So that every Muslim who wants to pray must pay attention to the altitude correction factor with the sun's position approaching the horizon, namely the time of dawn, late dawn (ṭulū'), maghrib, and evening prayers.

Abstract:
Jumu’ah, regarded as the pinnacle of the weekly Islamic worship, mandates ritual purification, donning immaculate attire, and congregating at the mosque for Friday Prayer. However, the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic has necessitated adaptations in religious practices, compelling Muslims to pivot towards virtual modes of worship in compliance with directives issued by governmental and health authorities aimed at mitigating the transmission of the coronavirus. The transition to virtual or online prayer has sparked considerable theological discourse and scrutiny in light of the pandemic's challenges. Consequently, this research aims to rigorously examine the doctrinal perspectives on virtual Friday prayer. Employing a comprehensive qualitative methodology, this study undertakes a detailed descriptive analysis. Findings underscore ongoing theological debates among Muslim scholars worldwide, including in Indonesia, where divergent viewpoints exist regarding the permissibility of participating in Jumu’ah prayer remotely via broadcast or live streaming under any theological school (madhhab). Critics argue against virtual congregational prayer due to logistical challenges posed by physical distancing, asserting that the spatial and communal integrity essential to Islamic worship may be compromised. Conversely, proponents advocate for a pragmatic approach, invoking the principle of maslahat (public interest) to safeguard the continuity of Friday prayers amidst unprecedented circumstances. In conclusion, this study contributes to the scholarly discourse on contemporary Islamic jurisprudence by elucidating the multifaceted debates surrounding virtual Jumu’ah prayer during the COVID-19 pandemic, reflecting diverse interpretations and applications of Islamic law in response to evolving global challenges.

Abstract:
Prayer times in the Parepare city, such as at the Great Mosque of Parepare, the Senggol Grand Mosque of Parepare, and mosques in all sub-districts of Parepare City still occur differences and time differences. This is based on the author's observation on 18 October 2021. The time of maghrib prayer based on the adhan varies. One mosque calls to prayer at 5:53 pm, while another calls to prayer at 6:00 pm, 5:59 pm, and the latest at 6:02 pm. This problem is the basis of research on prayer time variations in Parepare City with a Contemporary Hisab Review and Islamic Law Analysis. The objective of this research is first, to describe the way or method of determining prayer times in Parepare City Mosques. Second, to analyse the accuracy of prayer times in Parepare City Mosques in the review of Contemporary Hisab. Third, to analyse, describe and compare the difference of prayer times in Parepare City. The result of this research is that the method of determining the prayer time of Parepare City Mosques varies (Ministry of Religion Schedule, Sheikh Sa'aduddin Djambek's Timetable, Prayer Time Application, Hisab Muhammadiyah Version). The accuracy of the praying time of the mosques in Parepare City from the perspective of contemporary hisab has three categories; accurate, inaccurate and passing the time of ikhtiyat (less and more not passing 2 minutes), inaccurate and fatal (passing 2 minutes). The variation of prayer times in the Parepare city from the perspective of Islamic law is that the schedule of the five daily prayers (Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha' and Fajr) at the Al-Azhar Islamic Centre mosque, Al-Muttaqin Mosque and Nurul Asiah Mosque (especially for the Fajr prayer) is invalid, because it has not yet entered the time for the obligation to pray.

Abstract:
This study discusses the practice of i'adah dzuhur after the Friday Prayers in Aceh Besar. I'adah dzuhur is carried out by some people as they see that the performance of Friday Prayers is considered to have ignored several conditions. This leads to some people’s decisions to re-perform the dzuhur prayer. This fact encourages the author to explore reasons that some people consider carrying out the i'adah dzuhur after Friday prayers. In addition, the performance is i'adah dzuhur was also driven by perspectives of Muslim scholars graduated from Islamic traditional boarding schools suggesting that the performance of Friday praying has yet to meet certain level of validity. This study is an empirical juridicial study using the Islamic legal approach. The data for the study was collected through interviews, observation and document analysis. In addition, the data was analyzed using qualitative data analysis procedures. The results showed that the performance of Friday prayers in Aceh Besar has met the rules as mandated in the fiqh. However, some people in Aceh Besar are cautious on the eligibility of the Friday prayer performances. This caution is in regard with the two requirements for the validity of Friday: First, the location between mosques should be adjacent with each other. Second, there should be the minimum number of 40 Friday prayer congregations, and all of them should be well educated on the nature of Friday prayers. As a result of being unsure about the fulfillment of these two conditions and caution (ihtiyati), some people perform the i'adah dzuhur after Friday. Such communal understanding is influenced by the alumni of Islamic traditional Boarding schools (dayah) due to several factors. First, the emergence of Islamic figures from the traditional Islamic boarding school; second, the alumni has been active in various socio-religious activities, and third, the alumni have gained some charisma.

Abstract:
Muslims. Performing prayers on time is an absolute prerequisite for prayers to be considered valid. Determining prayer times is important because based on Islamic teachings, prayer times have been determined and are closely related to the movement of the sun and geographical conditions. Astronomical and geographical factors, such as the sun, latitude and longitude, influence the determination of prayer times. The morning prayer begins before the sun rises, Dhuhr when the sun is at the top of the sky, Asr before the sun sets, Maghrib when the sun sets, and Isha after dusk ends. The suitability of prayer times to seasonal changes is also taken into account in areas that experience significant variations in weather and duration of day and night. Observance of prayer times is an integral part of a Muslim's adherence to religious teachings. Spiritual awareness and devotion to Allah are reflected in efforts to perform prayers at the specified times. It also creates a deep spiritual discipline, strengthening the connection between humans and their creator. Commitment to understanding and adhering to prayer times according to religious guidelines is essential in maintaining a Muslim's obedience. Most Muslims rely on local religious authorities or religious institutions to determine appropriate prayer times according to geographic and astronomical factors. This strengthens Muslims' attachment to religious teachings, making determining prayer times an integral part of their spiritual life.

This paper attempts to examine the background of prayer calls (adzan) that was influenced by the customs and habits of the local people. Adzan which should be sounded immediately after the prayer time comes was deliberately sounded an hour later by the Muslims in Tlogogedong village, the southern part of Demak district. Though it seems that Muslims in Tlogogedong village do not follow the religious order to perform prayers in early time, this late prayer calls had a deeper purpose. The study finds out that the delayed adzan was intended to accommodate local people to perform another religious order, which is congregated prayers. The delay in prayer calls give more time for local people who work as farmers, for other professions to wait until their break times, and for children to finish their quranic reading activities. with religious texts related to the early morning prayer and congregational prayers. This finding indicates that there was a dialogue between religious order and local practice and situation that can be used an example or model in understanding Islamic texts by adjusting the local culture of a region. Second opinion: Rukhṣah is given to leave Friday prayers for Muslims who come from hamlets to the city to perform special prayers and Friday prayers. Third opinion: A person who has performed the Eid prayer, his obligation to perform Friday prayer is null and void, but it is appropriate for the priest to establish Friday prayers so that people who wish to attend them can attend. And for Muslims who have attended the holiday prayers, they are obliged to do the midday prayer on time if they do not do the Friday prayers. Abstract:
This article aimed to describe the law of congregational prayer in mosque with tenuous line due to Corona outbreak that hits this country. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach that describes Islamic concepts that need to be understood and implemented in the matter of congregational prayer in unusual situation by analyzing the propositions and opinions of the scholars. The results of this study indicate that if there were instruction to temporarily discontinue Friday prayers and congregational prayers in the mosque that is merely an appeal and an institution or mosque takmir decided to continue conducting congregational prayers in the mosque by applying social distancing, then their congregational prayers would be considered legal. However, obeying the appeal of the authorities, both the government and Indonesian Council of Ulama (MUI), is more recommended and preferred. It is because an appeal, although not compulsory, is intended to benefit the community in general, and the appeal is issued owing to the danger of Corona outbreak that is obvious and real. This appeal is enough to be considered excuse for discontinuing the congregational prayers in the mosque and substituting Friday prayer with four-rakat Zuhr prayer.

Abstract:
Prayer hall, where traditional Muslim prayers take place, is the most important element of Masjids (mosques). Prayer halls are historically shaped as simple orthogonal walled spaces. Over time, little changes have occurred to them. Recently, with the evolution of architectural schools of thought and the advent of new construction and electromechanical systems, prayer halls have been subject to creativity and experimentation. Architects designed prayer halls with different shapes, spatial configurations and forms which, in some instances, contradict with the essentials of prayer. This research attempts to monitor and classify different types of contemporary prayer halls according to their spatial configuration with special reference to the Saudi Arabian context. Taking the city of Jeddah as a case study, a representative sample of masjids is surveyed, documented, analyzed and classified. The analysis is based on shape, enclosure, symmetry and complexity of prayer halls space. The study concludes basic and non-basic prayer halls and their corresponding bisects. The classification, however, constitutes a base upon which design criteria for prayer halls across the Islamic countries can be built.

Abstract:
Pandemic Covid-19 makes all activities experience the main paralysis in religious matters. One of them is a rule for keeping distance during prayer in an effort to break the chain of the Corona virus. Religious activities are required to be able to adjust government rules. If the Islamic community that lives in the environment is not free, it will not be able to religion and carry out full Islamic missions. In this context the Asghar Ali Engineer strongly criticizes the current era of Islamic theology which emphasizes more on metaphysical aspects rather than providing solutions in the practical life of Muslims. For Asghar Ali, the face of Islam now has two sides, namely Islam as a place to escape the trouble and Islam as a means of revolutionizing change. Asghar Ali said that if he wanted to make Islam a medium of revolution, there needs to be a liberation strategy which he calls the theology of Islamic liberation. This is done by reinterpretating the Qur'an through the analysis of "normative" and "contextual" aspects in order to obtain a new point of view. Based on a qualitative approach, this study found that during the Covid-19 outbreak there was a reinterpretation of religious diversity in Indonesia. Before the outbreak of Covid-19 Friday prayers by Muslims were understood mandatory without exception. But during the Covid-19 there was relief leaving Friday prayers. What also happened related to prayer in congregation. Previously, praying in congregation had to be a meeting, but because Covid-19, was allowed to be a distance during prayer in congregation.

Abstract:
Islamic Sharia stipulates that marriages must be announced to the public. One method of the announcement is through walīmat al-‘urs, translated differently in different Muslim communities. In the city of Solok, West Sumatra, one of the forms of walīmat al-‘urs is the baarak bako tradition (a wedding parade around the village). Baarak bako's implementation frequently clashes with obligatory prayer times in Islam, causing many participants to leave the prayer. This research aims to examine the background of the baarak bako tradition, the reasons for deciding the time to perform baarak bako, and the effects of baarak bako on prayer services. Using a qualitative method, this article revealed that the origin of baarak bako was the desire of the bako (father's female family) to show their presence by enlivening anak pisang's (the children of a brother) wedding. According to the custom, the best time to announce a marriage is in the afternoon because people are already at home and have finished their activities outside the home; the implementation of baarak bako resulted in some participants failing to perform the obligatory prayers. The neglected prayers are carried out in jama' (merging two prayers). Others, on the other hand, leave the prayer without jama'. The people of Solok City are very rigorous about following customary rules. When religious law and customary law rules conflict, some people prefer customary rules over religious rules and vice versa. These findings show the dynamic relationship between religion and customs in the Minangkabau ethnic group, West Sumatra. These two norms can coexist and adapt to each other in practice. Keywords: Islamic law, prayers, marriage, tradition, baarak bako.

This is how the religion of Islam teaches, and 2) congregational prayer activities can also minimize juvenile delinquency at school. Psychologically, students will feel watched and fortified by the prayers they do.

Abstract:
The ulemas agree that in Islamic Sharia, there is advice to perform eclipse prayers, but they differ in opinion about the procedures for its practice. This study compares the views of the Ḥanafī, Mālikī, al-Syāfi'ī, and Ḥanbalī schools of thought regarding the eclipse prayer procedures and the arguments used. This study is a normative legal research with a comparative approach and included in the literature research. This study found that the Ḥanafī school considers the procedure for performing the eclipse prayer the same as other prayers, while the Mālikī, al-Syāfi'ī, and Ḥanbalī schools distinguish it. The Ḥanafī school determines how to pray the eclipse based on general instructions from the Hadith, while the Mālikī, al-Syāfi'ī, and Ḥanbalī schools refer to detailed hadiths. ‘Āisyah narrated that during the eclipse prayer, Prophet Muhammad recited Surah al-Fatihah twice, bowed twice, stood up twice, and prostrated twice. This study concludes that the Ḥanafī school tends to decisions making based on general propositions.
