Abstract:
This paper brings the first malacological research of the proposal nature reserve Vrchlice Valley (Central Bohemia, Czech Republic) after hundred years. Altogether, 44 mollusc species have been recorded in a very diverse mosaic of floodplain forests, cliffs and meadows. Rare or locally important species Vertigo pusilla, Semilimax semilimax, Daudebardia rufa, Isognomostoma isognomostomos, Oxyloma elegans, Vitrea crystallina and Laciniaria plicata were recorded in the area of the reserve.

Mollusc fauna of the Babinské louky Nature Monument in the České středohoří Protected Lanscape Area in North Bohemia has been supplemented and summarized. During the recent monitoring in 2021, 36 land snails and four aquatic species were recorded. This reserve mainly protects the famous orchid meadows, however, it also includes a number of other habitats, including forests. The local malacofauna is therefore relatively rich. There are strictly forest species (Isognomostoma isognomostomos, Merdigera obscura), species of open habitats (Vertigo pygmaea), hygrophilous species (Succinella oblonga)

Although the České středohoří PLA is one of the most malacologically explored areas in Central Europe, ongoing research shows that there are still previously unexplored places with rich malacofauna. The Houžetín Hill near the village of Skalice hosts extremely rich flora and its research has also shown relatively rich mollusc fauna (45 species). Unexpectedly, many strictly forest species were found there in 2019, such as Discus perspectivus, Isognomostoma isognomostomos, Aegopinella nitidula and many others. Aegista subchinensis (Möllendorff, 1884) is a widely distributed land snail species with morphological variation and endemic to Taiwan. Three genetic markers (partial sequence of the mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit I [COI], the 16S rDNA and the nuclear internal transcribed spacer 2 [ITS2]) were analysed to infer phylogenetic relationships and genetic divergence of closely related species of the genus Aegista, A. vermis (Reeve, 1852) and A. oculus (Pfeiffer, 1850). A new species from A. subchinensis has been recognized on the basis of phylogenetic and morphological evidences. The nom

Abstract:
This study presents new insights in the anatomy of genital organs of some large helicid gastropods from northern Africa. The genetic analysis with the markers COI, 16S, H3, and 5.8 S rRNA+ITS2 reveales a high support for Alabastrina and Otala as separate evolutionary lineages within the Otalini. The position of Siretia as another separate lineage within the Otalini is discussed. "Tingitana minettei decussata" clusters within the O. xanthodon clade and confirms that the genus Tingitana can be synonymised with Otala. The genus Alabastrina differs from all other known genera by possession of a pe
