Abstract:
The increasing use of plastic makes plastic waste the number one contributor to environmental damage in the world. The type of plastic that is most often found as waste is Polypropylene (PP). One way to overcome this problem is to convert plastic into liquid oil, which can be used for various purposes in the chemical industry or as an alternative fuel. Pyrolysis is a technology commonly used to convert plastics into liquid oil, and can be done by the public. But the availability of pyrolysis reactors that are easy and safe to operate is something that needs attention. In this research, a pyrolysis reactor with a capacity of 1 kg / batch has been modified from a gas cylinder. The pyrolysis process was carried out at 250°C, 275°C, 300°C, 325°C and 350°C with a reaction time of 120 minutes. The results showed that pyrolysis at 350°C can produce the highest yield of 62.56%. Through testing using Gas Chromatograpy-Mass Spectroscopy it is known that the liquid oil obtained consists of several groups of compounds or derivatives from Hexane, Heptane, Isotridecanol, Dodecana, Cyclohexana, Benzene, Pentane, and Octana.

Abstract:
The paper presents flotation of two phosphate ore samples of different origin. Statistical analysis was used to study the effect of operating parameters on flotation efficiency. The paper proposes to increase the efficiency of flotation processing of magmatic phosphate ore with a low grade of the valuable component (P2O5 = 10.88 %), containing nepheline and feldspars, by means of direct anionic flotation. Authors present an optimization of anionic flotation using tall oil fatty acids mixed with anionic phospholane as an anionic collector. The effect of adding soda ash to compensate for the influence of calcium cations on technological parameters of P2O5 flotation was examined. The results of studying the flotation of nepheline ore (flotation tailings of magmatic phosphate ore) showed that replacement of phospholane with oxyethylated isotridecanol allowed to obtain a high-quality concentrate. It was estimated that with the addition of Na2CO3 in the amount of 2,000 g/t, a concentrate was obtained with the grade and recovery of phosphorus pentoxide equal to 39.15 and 94.19 %, respectively. The paper proposes to increase the efficiency of flotation processing of sedimentary phosphate ore with a low grade of the valuable component (P2O5 = 22.5 %), containing gypsum and quartz, by means of desliming followed by anionic or cationic reverse flotation. Tall oil fatty acid with anionic phospholane was used as a collector in anionic reverse flotation, and amine was used in cationic reverse flotation. Sodium tripolyphosphate was used as a P2O5 depressant. It was found to be an effective depressant in both anionic and cationic flotation. When analyzing the statistical plan, it was estimated that the maximum grade of the valuable component in the concentrate (P2O5 = 31.23 %) and the recovery to concentrate of 95.22 % were obtained in the chamber product at amine consumption of 950.88 g/t and sodium tripolyphosphate consumption of 500 g/t.

Christen, Pierre. "Faisabilite d'un procede a membrane liquide pour l'extraction continue de l'ethanol produit par fermentation." Paris, ENMP, 1987. http://www.theses.fr/1987ENMP0055.

Full text
Abstract:

Abstract:
The paper present the results carried out in order to produce synthetic ester oils with a complex structure on the basis of sebacic acid with beneficial tribological properties. Three series of unsymmetrical diesters have been synthesized by taking into account superior aliphatic alcohols such as 2-ethyl-hexanol, isodecanol and isotridecanol along with special alcohols of a complex alkyl-aryl structure, namely 2-phenoxy-ethanol, 2-[(o sec butyl)-phenoxy] ethanol and 2-[(p-nonyl)-phenoxy] ethanol, respectively. There were also synthesized the symmetrical (homogeneous) esters based on these special aliphatic-aromatic alcohols.
