Abstract:
The United States and Israel are two of the countries with the most unique relationship. The relationship between the two countries can be traced back to the very beginning of Israel's statehood. For most of modern history, a lot of conflicts involving Israel have erupted in the Middle East, some of which have endangered Israel's very existence. The unique relationship between the two countries has led the United States to view Israel as its main ally in the Middle East. Therefore, it is important for the United States to help Israel ensure its survival in this conflict-ridden region.

Israel has conducted an aggressive campaign of economic espionage in the United States since 1948. This campaign has been critical to sustaining and modernizing Israel's nuclear weapons program and an array of its most advanced conventional weapons even while it has caused American firms to lose valuable proprietary information and unfairly advantaged Israeli companies in the international arms market. While other countries conduct economic espionage against the United States, Israel is the only major recipient of U.S. foreign aid to do so.

But the Cold War is over, and the Arab world awash with oil, a resource that is always in short supply in the US. Yet the American commitment to Israel, a small state that is largely oil free, and of little tangible economic benefit, remains. Abstract:
Grapevine yellows diseases characterized by similar symptoms have been reported in several countries including Israel, the United States, France, Italy, Spain, Germany and Australia. These diseases are among the most serious known in grapevine, but precise knowledge of the pathogens' identities and modes of their spread is needed to devise effective control stratgegies. The overall goals of this project were to develop improved molecular diagnostic procedures for detection and identification of the presumed mycoplasmalike organism (MLO) pathogens, now termed phytoplasmas, and to apply these pr
