The Utrecht Photometric System (≡ UPS) is a narrow-band photometric system (Δλ ⩽ 10 nm) characterized by wavelength regions in which no telluric lines and nearly no stellar/interstellar spectral lines are present. Because in the near-infra red the density of spectral lines is much less than in the visible and blue, filters with transmission as far as possible into the near-infra red are necessary. Deduction theorem and its weak forms in classical mathematical logic system, Łukasiewicz logic system, Gödel logic system, product logic system, and the fuzzy logic system ℒ* are discussed and compared. It is pointed out that the weak form of deduction theorem in ℒ* has a clear structure and can be employed to define the concept of consistency degrees of finite theories. Moreover, it is clarified that the negation operator of Gödel type is too strong and is therefore unsuitable for establishing fuzzy logic systems.

Shtuk, Ekaterina. "In this research, we study the taxation of intangibles, particularly the intellectual property (IP) at the international level. The main issue is the comparison of IP tax incentives in the United Kingdom and the Russian Federation. We also investigated the importance of R&D and intangible assets for companies. International activity of corporations raises in some cases the problem of double non-taxation due to gaps in legislation. This leads to the erosion of the tax base and we analyse it in the context of the Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) Action Plan issued by OECD. This plan contains recommendations for countries on avoiding tax evasion by taxpayers. From our comparasion we conclude that some features of British taxation for innovative companies can be introduced into Russian tax system. This work performed measurement and verification of installed, operational solar wall systems at Fort Drum, NY, and Forbes Field, Air National Guard, Topeka, KS. Actual annual savings were compared estimated savings generated by a solar wall modeling tool (RETScreen). A comparison with the RETScreen modeling tool shows that the measured actively heated air provided by the solar wall provides 57% more heat than the RETScreen tool predicted, after accounting for boiler efficiency. The solar wall at Fort Drum yields a net savings of $851/yr, for a simple payback of 146 years and a SIR of 0.16. RE
