Este artículo propone el uso del concepto “itinerario subjetivo” para analizar los elementos que componen el proceso migratorio de retorno de los jóvenes mexicanos de la generación 1.5. Con base en la descripción y el análisis de la narrativa de un joven que pertenece a esta generación de migrantes que retornó a México, se discutirán las características de esta movilidad de regreso y el proceso de resocialización, así como la forma en que los jóvenes retornados interpretan sus historias migratorias, narran sus emociones y su sentido de pertenencia, y construyen las expectativas de su futuro.
