Word and images make our imaginary, from the narratives shared in shadow and fire, up to contemporaneity. In a time, however, that challenges its limits, where is the sensitive action of Architecture? If we seek silence, can architecture build that silence? If we try to enhance memory, how can the constructed element sustain the sense of feeling? Since architecture is made by and for Man and considering ourselves as sensitive beings, made of waiting, silence, fear and restlessness, what is the action of architecture in defining what is absolute in each of us? We propose in this Dissertation a reflection on the Architect's role as a mediator of the intangible. For this, the House in Nakano, by Architect Toyo Ito, was taken as a basis, from a narrative, formal, analytical, and interpretive perspective. Through a particular narrative, it is possible to understand Space and Time, death, love, transformation, impermanence and virtuality as architecture arguments.
