Withaferin A (WFA), the Indian ginseng bioactive compound, exhibits an antiproliferation effect on several kinds of cancer, but it was rarely reported in bladder cancer cells. This study aims to assess the anticancer effect and mechanism of WFA in bladder cancer cells. WFA shows antiproliferation to bladder cancer J82 cells based on the finding of the MTS assay. WFA disturbs cell cycle progression associated with subG1 accumulation in J82 cells. Poor women with children in Ecuador were selected at random for a cash transfer that is less than 20 percent of median child labor earnings. Poor families with children in school at the time of the award use the transfer to postpone the child's entry into the labor force. Students in families induced to take up the transfer by the experiment reduce paid employment by 78 percent and unpaid economic activity inside their home by 32 percent. Time in unpaid household services increases, but overall time spent working declines. (JEL I32, I38, J13, J22, J82, O12)

Tissue factor (TF) is an integral membrane glycoprotein which, as the receptor and essential cofactor for coagulation factors VII and VIIa (FVII and FVIIa, respectively), is the primary cellular activator of the coagulation protease cascade. Previous studies on the procoagulant activity of a variety of cell types (either lysed or in the intact state) have variously been interpreted as showing that TF is either stored intracellularly or is present in a cryptic form in the surface membrane. Using mAbs to TF, we have directly investigated the subcellular localization and functional activity of TF
