Full textIn this thesis, my contribution focuses on the development of a methodology for intelligent control of the maximum temperature in a tubular reactor. These expressions are derived from an analytical model previously published by (Vernières-Hassimi et al., 2016) and have been adapted and simplified for their application in this context. The first analytical expression developed concerns the calculation of the position of the maximum reaction temperature, a fundamental parameter for safety in tubular reactors. This expression allows for the analysis of the behaviour of the hot spot inside the reactor and how its position varies according to changes in input parameters, which facilitates a more appropriate selection of operational configurations. Furthermore, this expression integrates with the formula previously developed by (Vernières-Hassimi et al., 2016). The second expression results from a resolution of the original equation, through which the reactor's cooling temperature is calculated. This expression is particularly useful for determining the cooling temperature in response to variations in operational conditions, thus providing an effective tool for the thermal management of the system

This paper discusses the security policy of the United States of America (USA) after the terrorist attacks of September 11th 2001 and has as its object of study the influence of media, especially the series 24 Hours in the approval and legitimacy of the Bush Doctrine. The objective of the research is to examine the matters and factors that favored to the adoption of counter-terrorism policy, and more specifically, the present formulation of the war on terror as a result of a series of political and social factors. It is intended to verify the evolution of U.S. security policy and understand how the media has created an environment that facilitated the acceptance of an extreme policy that could hardly be adopted in normal times. Furthermore, it will seek to point out that the series 24 Hours, famous for counterterrorism approach, presented to the public response to the trauma suffered by the attacks, putting it face to face with the problem every episode. The initial episode, which premiered two months after the September 11th, addressed explicitly and dramatically terrorism. After initial success, continued for eight more seasons of high ratings. The central argument of this paper is that the systematic analysis of a successful media production contributes to the understanding of tense and insecure state that Americans experienced after September 2001 and that the channels of communication were essential for the anti-terror policy to be legitimate - the Doctrine Bush. 24 Hours helped create the atmosphere of terror and insecurity that marked the U.S. and the world after 11/09

Full textJACIE relies on transplant programs voluntarily applying for accreditation: it is important to understand that programs, rather than centres, apply meaning that all three infrastructures and teams (cell collection, cell processing and patient care unit) jointly engage in the accreditation process. The purpose of JACIE standards is to ensure a minimal level of quality, and harmonize laboratory and clinical practices in the field of onco-hematology. Implementation and follow-up of indicators do not necessarily reflect on quality and safety of patient care. The first aim of this study is to identify indicators set in place by the programs and to assess how their measure could be translated in qualitative benefit or quantitative benefit for the patient or the hospital. A survey was launched to 82 programs that were holding a valid accreditation, starting with French centres, and then extending to accredited programs in other European countries. Quality indicator is a tool for assessing healthcare delivery and indicator approach is commonly employed for risk management in healthcare systems. Thus, the second aim of this study is to understand whether a method was used to implement efficiently the indicators and to evaluate if all the HSCT processes are monitored
