In 2013 Memphis City Schools and Shelby County Schools consolidated into a unified system, creating one of the largest districts in the nation. Six Memphis suburbs subsequently voted to create separate municipal districts. Many school zoning changes resulted from the merger and subsequent splintering of districts, providing a rare opportunity to separately identify the value of both school and district quality as they are capitalized in housing prices. Utilizing school fixed effects and repeat sales data, we find that a one standard deviation increase in test scores increases prices by 3-4% wh

Osadnictwo żydowskie w królewskim Brdowie przybrało na sile wraz z przejściem tego ośrodka pod zabór pruski (1793 r.). Czasy Królestwa Polskiego zarówno w okresie konstytucyjnym, jak i również później, czyli w epoce unii realnej z Cesarstwem Rosyjskim, należały do najlepszego okresu pod względem procesów migracyjnych ludności żydowskiej w Brdowie. Żydzi sukcesywnie zaczęli się tam osiedlać (choć nie zawsze były to tendencje wzrostowe), niekiedy wypierając z różnych dziedzin handlu społeczność chrześcijańską (katolików i protestantów). AbstractIn 1625 the Monastery of St. John's in Haarlem, which housed the local Order of the Knights of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (Hospitallers), was dissolved. The property, including a large collection of paintings, passed to the City of Haarlem, which claimed all the monasteries in the district of Haarlen as compensation for damage sustairted during the siege and rebellion against Spain.
