Abstract:
Agent oriented programming is often claimed to become the next breakthrough in development and implementation of large-scale complex software systems. At the same time it is rather difficult to find successful applications of agent technology, in particular when large-scale systems are considered. The aim of this paper is to investigate if one of the possible limits could be the scalability of existing agent environments. For this purpose we have selected JADE agent platform and investigated its performance in a number of test-scenarios. Results of our experiments are presented and discussed.

Abstract:
The term "service-oriented architecture" (SOA) refers to a software paradigm for creating systems made up of a variety of services that interact with one another to accomplish a certain task. The communications involve more than just transmitting data back and forth; they also connect two or more services to coordinate the required operations. Cross-platform communication is necessary for the coordinating process when services are spread across several platforms. Several web service standards and specifications are used in the present SOA implementation. Based on the prototype's implementation and simulation, this proposed research study has been validated and evaluated. The suggested cross-platform communications architecture is implemented using NetBeans, JADE, WSIG, and OWL-S. An integrated development environment for Java is offered by Oracle in the form of NetBeans. Telecom Italia's Java Agent DEvelopment Framework (JADE) is an agent software framework that is entirely built in the Java language. Web Service Integration Gateway (WSIG), which helps to facilitate JADE agent services being called by Web service clients. The core fundamental engine of the suggested framework is OWL-S. It is a web ontology language used to describe Semantic Web Services in the Semantic Web's OWL-based framework. A quantitative approach is used in this study's performance analysis and comparative investigation for evaluation and validation. The prototype's major element is the Java agent development framework (JADE), which was used to create a multi-agent system for the agent-based MOM framework that has been presented. The creation of the multi-agent systems was facilitated by the JADE platform. JADE 3.7 was the version that was employed. Two key features of JADE are a FIPA-compliant agent platform and a package for creating Java agents. The implementation results show that the proposed agent-based MOM framework was successful communicate between multiple types of SOA application with a better performance of the average of round-trip time where the proposed framework was successful in responding to all the requests.

 Abstract
Features of the JADE and PADE multi-agent system platforms in industrial manufacturing applications.
The use of multi-agent systems has emerged as a solution to provide self-management in the industry's production flow, without the need for human interference. Currently, the best documented functional alternative for this purpose is the JADE platform (Java Agent DEvelopment Framework), which implies the use of the Java programming language. This work aims to investigate a new alternative to this platform, using the PADE platform (Python Agent DEvelopment Framework) to program a multi-agent system dedicated to industrial manufacturing. From a simulated industrial plant, simulations were performed with the use of this system to control the machines used in the manufacturing of a product, which required a multi-process assembly. The results showed the PADE platform, even though it is newer than the one already consolidated that JADE, proves to be a promising framework, driven by the use of the Python programming language, on the rise in the computing environment. Having the comparative results between the two platforms in different metrics adds value when choosing which systems and which language to use, based on the metrics that the user needs.

Abstract:
Kata kunci: agen, jade, fipa acl, wgad, bgad AbstractThe beginner climbers should do mountain climbing as a group, however, manually grouping method that is currently running is not effective and efficient , especially for the solo climber who do not have the mountaineering community . Therefore, it is necessary to build an online media that is able to classify mountaineers automatically. The grouping is done by the algorithm K-Means clustering -based intelligent agents . The agents will collaborate in the negotiation process and determines the cluster members that have similar criteria . The main advantage of using multiagentsis multithreading proces, so the clustering process will run at once . The agentsconsists of the user agent , the database agent , clustering agents , and validation agent . The agents are implemented with JADE platform because JADE is using FIPA ACL communication language . Evaluation will calculate the value of cohesion / density in one cluster and inter - cluster separation distances with 10 , 100 and 200 data. Metric measurement used are WGAD and BGAD . Thequality of a cluster member is better than using an usual k-means . Keywords: agen, jade, fipa acl, wgad, bgad

Abstract:
The paper describes a novel approach of using distributed intelligent agents for the integration on-board and off-board sensors for mobile robot path planning in indoor environments. The system gives the robot a prior knowledge about the path state, which will be taken by the robot during navigating from an initial position to a target point. This enables the robot to intelligently decide in advance which path should be taken before reaching a point where a barrier to progress may have appeared. The system takes advantage of surveillance cameras already in buildings to aid the robot to plan a path. We have built intelligent agent based system that supports controlling the robot efficiently, using cameras available in the building and managing the communication between agents. The multi-agent system architecture includes two platforms, each platform consist of different agents connected together wirelessly using a JADE middleware platform.

Abstract:
The main objective of this thesis work is to develop communication link between Runrev Revolution (IDE) and JADE (Multi-Agent System) through Socket programming using TCP/IP layer. These two independent platforms are connected using socket programming technique. Socket programming is considered to be newly emerging technology among these two platforms, the work done in this thesis work is considered to be a prototype.A Graphical simulation model is developed by salixphere (Company in Hedemora) to simulate logistic problems using Runrev Revolution (IDE). The simulation software/program is called “BIOSIM”. The logistic problems are complex, and conventional optimization techniques are unlikely very successful. “BIOSIM” can demonstrate the graphical representation of logistic problems depending upon the problem domains. As this simulation model is developed in revolution programming language (Transcript) which is dynamically typed and English-like language, it is quite slow compared to other high level programming languages. The object of this thesis work is to add intelligent behaviour in graphical objects and develop communication link between Runrev revolution (IDE) and JADE (Multi-Agent System) using TCP/IP layers. The test shows the intelligent behaviour in the graphical objects and successful communication between Runrev Revolution (IDE) and JADE (Multi-Agent System).

Abstract:
e-Learning is becoming an influential role as an economic method and a flexible mode of study in the institutions of higher education today which has a presence in an increasing number of college and university courses. e-Learning as system of systems is a dynamic and scalable environment. Within this environment, e-learning is still searching for a permanent, comfortable and serviceable position that is to be controlled, managed, flexible, accessible and continually up-to-date with the wider university structure. As most academic and business institutions and training centres around the world have adopted the e-learning concept and technology in order to create, deliver and manage their learning materials through the web, it has become the focus of investigation. However, management, monitoring and collaboration between these institutions and centres are limited. Existing technologies such as grid, web services and agents are promising better results. In this research a new architecture has been developed and adopted to make the e-learning environment more dynamic and scalable by dividing it into regional data grids which are managed and monitored by agents. Multi-agent technology has been applied to integrate each regional data grid with others in order to produce an architecture which is more scalable, reliable, and efficient. The result we refer to as Regionally Distributed Architecture for Dynamic e-Learning Environment (RDADeLE). Our RDADeLE architecture is an agent-based grid environment which is composed of components such as learners, staff, nodes, regional grids, grid services and Learning Objects (LOs). These components are built and organised as a multi-agent system (MAS) using the Java Agent Development (JADE) platform. The main role of the agents in our architecture is to control and monitor grid components in order to build an adaptable, extensible, and flexible grid-based e-learning system. Two techniques have been developed and adopted in the architecture to build LOs' information and grid services. The first technique is the XML-based Registries Technique (XRT). In this technique LOs' information is built using XML registries to be discovered by the learners. The registries are written in Dublin Core Metadata Initiative (DCMI) format. The second technique is the Registered-based Services Technique (RST). In this technique the services are grid services which are built using agents. The services are registered with the Directory Facilitator (DF) of a JADE platform in order to be discovered by all other components. All components of the RDADeLE system, including grid service, are built as a multi-agent system (MAS). Each regional grid in the first technique has only its own registry, whereas in the second technique the grid services of all regional grids have to be registered with the DF. We have evaluated the RDADeLE system guided by both techniques by building a simulation of the prototype. The prototype has a main interface which consists of the name of the system (RDADeLE) and a specification table which includes Number of Regional Grids, Number of Nodes, Maximum Number of Learners connected to each node, and Number of Grid Services to be filled by the administrator of the RDADeLE system in order to create the prototype. Using the RST technique shows that the RDADeLE system can be built with more regional grids with less memory consumption. Moreover, using the RST technique shows that more grid services can be registered in the RDADeLE system with a lower average search time and the search performance is increased compared with the XRT technique. Finally, using one or both techniques, the XRT or the RST, in the prototype does not affect the reliability of the RDADeLE system.

Abstract:
The project is dedicated to the identification of the problems found while building RT operating systems for use in embedded devices. The project's main topic is the possibility of using RT system in the FITkit platform and it also discusses individual problems and their possible solutions. One of the problems is the way of acquiring the timing information for tasks to ensure their RT properties. We have extended existing simulator for given microcontroller that is also part of the FITkit. The simulator can be used for detailed monitoring of the execution of individual tasks in the system based on dynamic analysis, collecting timing statistics for given blocks of the program or it can be extended by new modules. The RM scheduling mechanism has been integrated into the FreeRTOS system as an example by considering the knowledge of the concrete operating system and acquired timing information.

Abstract:
Agents are distinct entities known for their independence and autonomy. In a multi-agent system, multiple agents can interact with each other. In this context, communication is a crucial component in enabling relationships between agents, and it is one of the fundamental features provided by a multiagent system platform. As such, the performance of a multi-agent system can be directly affected by the implementation of its communication mechanism. In this paper, we analyze the scalability of the JADE platform from the perspective of its communication mechanism. We do this by defining benchmarks and evaluating the platform’s response in different scale-up and scale-out scenarios.

The increasing complexity of the normative multi-agent systems (MAS) development represents a challenge to software engineering. Model driven approach promotes a fast and consistent software development through the use of software models. In order to reduce the semantic gap that exists between modeling and implementation levels and surround the natural complexity associated to Normative MAS development, this work proposes the use of a model driven approach to develop Normative MAS. A template-based approach was used to automate the code generation process from NorMAS-ML models to the specific platform (JADE), it was named JAMDER 2.0 that contains all resources of JADE and adds new entities to adapt the concepts of each other.
