This article tells about the life and work of the great philosopher, mystic and genius Jaloliddin Rumi. His philosophical outlook, philosophical teachings are analyzed. Rumi's poems spread at wide levels and became favorites at weddings, dinner parties, and burials. His phrases became imprinted on clothes, and decorated Christmas trees, and musical instrument companies (especially percussionists) decided to embed verses from his poetry on their products. On social networking sites, there are dozens of pages dedicated to publishing Rumi's poems with their reproduction by attaching music and vid

I argue that Barks’ attempt to reveal the universal message inherent in Rumi’s verses effectively de-Islamizes Rumi’s oeuvre and personality as his translation strategy entails elimination of particulars of Islamic culture and adaptation of the poems to the taste and sensitivities of the implied readers. A soulful curriculum acknowledges and places an importance to life’s ultimate questions and man’s inner dimension. It pursues a balance and convergence between our inner and outer lives. In Islam, there is no separate discipline of ethics and religion. Islam is founded on the principles of belief and righteous action. In this sense, a meaningful education should not only focus on training the mind to retain and retrieve knowledge per se but to nurture a personality with good characters and behaviours. However, the reality that we are facing today in the education system is the reverse of that.
