Abstract:

Tafsir merupakan produk teks dari sumber teks al-Qur’an. Kehadiran tafsir sangat dibutuhkan dalam menjelaskan petunjuk-petunjuk al-Qur’an. Namun apakah penafsiran yang dilakukan sudah sesuai dengan ketentuan kaidah penafsiran? Lalu apakah setiap ulama tafsir menuliskan kaidah penafsiran sebelum menafsirkan al-Qur’an di kitab tafsirnya? Ulama kontemporer seperti Muhammad Jamal al-Din al-Qasimi sebelum memulai penafsiran al-Qur’an, terlebih dulu menjelaskan beberapa kaidah penafsiran yang harus dipenuhi bagi mereka yang ingin menafsirkan al-Qur’an. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan mengolah data dari kitab Tafsir Mahasin al-Ta’wil karya Muhammad Jamal al-Din al-Qasimi sebagai data primer dan kitab-kitab tafsir lain sebagai data sekunder. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa kaidah penafsiran oleh Muhammad Jamal al-Din al-Qasimi dibagi menjadi qawa’id fi makhaidz tafsir dan kaidah memilih tafsir yang shahih dan yang paling shahih. Kaidah yang pertama Al-Qasimi didasari dari kaidah-kaidah penafsiran yang ditulis Jalal al-Din al-Suyuti dalam kitab al-Itqan fi ‘Ulum al-Qur’an

Masyarakat Indonesia lebih banyak memeluk agama Islam, sehingga banyak nama diri dari masyarakat Indonesia yang menggunakan bahasa Arab. Nama diri dalam bahasa Arab di Indonesia banyak terjadi perubahan sistem kebahasaan, baik dalam sistem fonologi. Analisis nama diri berbahasa Arab dalam tataran fonologi menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif, di mana penulis mendeskripsikan lalu menganalisis nama-nama diri tersebut dilihat dari tataran fonologi. Sebagai contoh nama diri berbahasa Arab Jamal. Nama diri ini mengalami perubahan fonem yaitu dengan menghilangnya salah satu fonem suprasegmental yaitu tanda panjang (lenght/maddah), yang sebenarnya dalam bahasa Arab جمال dengan transliterasinya Jamaal menjadi Jamal. fenomena seperti yang disebutkan di atas sering terjadi bahkan berulang-ulang dalam penggunaan nama diri berbahasa Arab di Indonesia, sehingga bisa diterima dan terjadilah integrasi.

Abstract:

The perfection of every human being can be achieved if he is able to harmonize the properties of Jalal and Jamal in himself harmoniously, while the perfection of human beings is achieved if men and women can integrate themselves in a harmonious whole both in the narrow sense (marriage) and in the broad sense , namely the occurrence of harmonious relations between men and women in various aspects of life. The concept of masculine and feminine is not necessary and should not be opposed because both are equally important and equally noble. Thus the Sufis give an esoteric interpretation so that they must be fixated on their spiritual increase in God without having to look at His masculine and feminine sides of God, they concentrate on reaching His Jalal and Jamal God together. When they have reached a high spiritual level, they are truly sincere to God so that in all their actions and behavior there is not the slightest spark of worldly interest as is characteristic of humans in general. Functional relations as the basis of humanity "wa‘ ala ar-rijal ‘alaihinna darajah" is for men equals above women and when both are united it will become a real human, and the elaboration of both is the perfection of reaching perfection.

Abstract:

The practice of marginalization and subordination is found in many family law provisions produced by jurists. Jamal Al-Banna is an Egyptian thinker who has an interest in women's issues. Through his work, Al-mar'ah Al-Muslimah baina Tahrir Alquran wa Taqyid Al-Fuqaha ', Jamal tries to point out the fact that in practice, the jurists have performed shackles/restrictions (taqyid) against women. This research method using descriptive qualitative. The results of this study indicate that Jamal's thought in his work explains the Qur'an in fact actually gives freedom (tahrir) is full of women. With the starting point of the Qur'an, Jamal began his new things. Jamal seeks to reform the position of women in social structure, For Jamal, social reform can only be done by reconstructing the religious understanding of the smallest institution called family.

Abstract:

The murder of Jamal Khashoggi in the consulate of Saudi Arabia in Turkey is still controversial. The judgment relies on valid and reliable evidence. This study is vital due to investigating a murder case based on pragmatic meanings as language evidence broadcasted in media. This research employs Grice’s conversational implicature to investigate the murder of Jamal Khashoggi by analyzing the exposed recorded tapes of Jamal Khashoggi and the accused inside the consulate, the utterances of Khadija Changiz, the fiancée of Jamal Khashoggi, and Adel al Jubeir’s statements, the foreign minister of Saudi Arabia as a representative of the Saudi Arabian. The design of this research is a case study, and content analysis is used to analyze the data based on Mayring’s (2000) qualitative content analysis. Based on the findings of the study, the recorded tapes of Jamal Khashoggi and the accused are outlined as ambiguous language. Saudi Arabia denied the murder by saving face, misleading the hearer, and skipping the questions, but later on, affirmed the murder and promised to bring justice. Hence, the results of this study will affect the verdict on the judicial decree, and the accusations will be prosecuted, and justice will be served to Jamal Khashoggi.

Abstract:

The role of women, according to classical fiqh (Islamic law) literature, especially fiqh al-Munakah}at (Islamic family law), tends to be regarded as a complementary part of domestic life. Their role is limited to the domestic territory, and restrain to play a public role. This paper tries to reconstruct the role of women in Islamic family law, utilizing the new fiqh paradigm initiated by Jamal al-Banna. To answer this problem, the author conducted a literature study by examining two works of Jamal: Nah}wa Fiqhin Jadid and Al-Mar'ah al-Muslimah bayna Tah}rir Al-Qur'an wa Taqyid al-Fuqaha'. This paper concludes that some issues regarding the role of women in Islamic family law need renewal. There are four crucial issues that are reviewed using the new fiqh paradigm of Jamal al-Banna, namely the minimum age of marriage, wali’s ijbar rights, polygamy, and divorce.

In the late 19th century Jamal Effendi and Sayyid Mustafa Rumi made a journey to the Dutch East Indies (now the Republic of Indonesia) to establish the Baha'i Faith there. This paper presents the results of an attempt to recover more details of that journey by using Dutch colonial sources. It focuses on Jamal and Rumi's sojourn on the island of Celebes (now Sulawesi) as it was there that they achieved what might be considered to be one of their main successes: the conversion of the king and queen of Bon.

Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan informasi mengenai kebugaran jasmani serta motivasi belajar siswa sebagai salah satu upaya untuk mengembangkan semua potensinya secara optimal, baik potensi fisik serta motivasi belajar pada anak sekolah dasar melalui permainan tradisional pada siswa kelas V SD Islam Al Jamal Jl Pamijahan Kel.Sukarindik Kec.Bungursari kota Tasikmalaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian eksperimen, Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa-siswi SD Islam Al Jamal Jl Pamijahan Kel.Sukarindik Kec.Bungursari kota Tasikmalaya dengan jumlah populasi 268 orang. sampel eksperimen yang diambil untuk penelitian ini adalah kelas V SD Islam Al Jamal Jl Pamijahan Kel.Sukarindik Kec.Bungursari kota Tasikmalaya dengan jumlah 30 orang putra dan putri. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu kebugaran jasmani serta motivasi belajar siwa yang dianalisis dengan menggunakan program exel 2016. Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji paired sample t tes, pada variabel tes kebugaran diperoleh nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,45, nilai tersebut diatas nilai aplha (0,45 > 0,05), artinya permainan tradisional tidak memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan kebugaran jasmani. Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji paired sample t tes, pada variabel motivasi diperoleh nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,00, nilai tersebut dibawah nilai aplha (0,00 < 0,05), artinya permainan tradisional memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap pengembangan Motivasi Belajar.

Abstract:

The paper examines Jamāl al-Bannā’s religious thinking. After providing a concise review of his circumstances, education and transformation of thought, a qualitative content analysis of his work reveals bizarre patterns of exposition. The paper reviews his positions on orthodox Qur’ānic exegeses, punishments for apostasy and adultery, and views on jihād, wearing ḥijāb and the permissibility of smoking when fasting, etc. His views on ijtihād and legal injunctions show exceptional non-reliance on basic sources and ijmāᶜ. The paper also examines his arguments on the Qur’ān’s sources, abrogation, generalization of the text, the authenticity of the Prophet’s traditions and other issues such as the priority of reason over Sharīᶜah, etc. In general, it unveils his deviant positions while generating much controversy. Keywords: Authenticity, deconstruction, exegesis, ḥadīth, legal injunctions. Abstrak Artikel ini bertujuan menyelidiki pemikiran keagamaan Jamal al-Banna. Setelah sorotan dibuat terhadap latarbelakang kehidupan beliau, pendidikan dan perubahan pemikiran, juga taakulan terhadap sumbangan intelektualnya didapati terserlah beberapa aspek pemikiran beliau yang agak ganjil. Artikel ini akan memfokuskan kepada pendirian Jamal al-Banna terhadap tafsiran tradisional al- Quran, hukuman-hukuman terhadap jenayah murtad dan zina, persoalan jihad, pemakaian hijab, kebenaran merokok ketika berpuasa dan sebagainya. Pendirian beliau terhadap ijtihad dan hukum hakam agama menujukkan bahawa beliau tidak bergantung kepada sumber-sumber asas agama dan ijma’. Kajian ini juga menganalisa hujah-hujah beliau terhadap sumber-sumber al-Qur’an, konsep nasakh, generalisasi teks, keaslian Hadith-hadith Nabi dan isu-isu lain seperti keutamaan akal daripada Syariah. Secara umumnya, kajian ini menyerlahkan beberapa aspek penyimpangan pendirian beliau daripada kefahaman arus perdana, bahkan kefahaman tersebut mencetuskan banyak kontroversi. Kata Kunci: Keaslian, dekonstruksi, tafsiran, hadith, dan hukum hakam.

Abstract:

The article is dedicated to the brief biography of Jamal Kamal, the great poet of Uzbekistan, skilled translator and publicist, a public man, a literary critic, and the candidate of philological sciences. Along with his creative activity, the author translated the finest pieces of world literature into the Uzbek language. It is also an ancient tradition to translate samples of Persian literature into Turkic or, conversely, Turkic works of art into Persian. Taking into account all above said, Jamal Kamal was one of the first in Uzbekistan to translate the work of Jaloliddin Rumi “Masnaviy Manaviy” into Uzbek. In order to confirm our opinion, the original Uzbek translations have been studied comparatively.

Abstract:

This article tries to explore Jamal's interpretation of ḥikmah in the Quran. Beside the discourse of ḥikmah still being polemic, Jamal’s decision to lay ḥikmah into fundamental place upon his broad thought is an obvious factor why they were chosen herein. One could catch the later through how Jamal in his interpretation had parallelized ḥikmah with Syafii’s particular word, qiyās. Jamal criticized Syafii’s interpretation in relation to ḥikmah which state that ḥikmah was not anything except sunnah. On another hand, he also put his construction of ḥikmah into what he called as new Islamic systematic knowledge, al-mandhumah al-jadidah li ma’rifat al-Islamiyyah. He regretted fiqh which had made many Moslems being oppressed either in thought or physic and subsequently proposed ḥikmah as the change of fiqh as the third source of new Islamic systematic knowledge. In time, there are two critical points concerning Jamal’s interpretation and the oppressed, those are Jamal’s status as a labor activist and Quranic revolution as the giant project. The article is, thus, plagued to analyze what actually Jamal desired through his interpretation regarding the new source, the Quranic revolution, and labor activist. The frame of critical discourse analysis of Van Dijk felt suitable to be employed herein.

Abstract:

Abstract: This paper provides legal sanction on perperator of crime (jarîmah) as a deviational behavior of human. The heavy or light punishment of crime is divided into three, namely: 1) criminal wounding (jarîmah hudûd); 2) criminal killing (jarîmah qisâs and diyat); and 3) criminal offence (jarîmah ta’zîr). Jamal al-Banna said that there is a dialectical relationship between individual liberty and public benefit that is controlled by criminal law. This dialectical relationship is similar to the dialectical relationship between faith (aqidah) and the law in Islam. This proves that wisdom of the application of the criminal act in Islam is to control the handling crime to its root. The criminal penalty as described above can be said to be the best, not only to maintain the authenticity or justice but also to protect the public. The term of repentance is certainly relevant to those who make mistake only once because of forgotten or do not know.Keywords: Criminal act, Jamal al-Banna, repentance. Abstrak: Jarîmah merupakan perilaku manusia yang menyimpang dari larangan norma hukum dan ketika melakukannya diberi sanksi. Adapun Presfektif berat ringannya dalam hukuman, jarîmah di bagi menjadi tiga, yaitu: (1) Jarîmah hudûd (2) Jarîmah qisâs dan diat (3) Jarîmah ta’zîr. Jamal al-Banna mengatakan bahwasanya ada hubungan dialektis antara kebebasan individual dan kemaslahatan publik itu dikendalikan oleh hukum pidana. Hubungan dialektis ini hampir sama dengan hubungan dialektis antara aqidah dan syariat yang ada dalam Islam, ini membuktikan bahwa pidana dalam Islam mempunyai hikmah yaitu Islam mengendalikan penanganan kriminal ini sampai pada akar-akarnya. Hukuman pidana yang telah dipaparkan di atas bisa dikatakan terbaik, bukan hanya untuk menjaga otentisitas, atau keadilan untuk melindungi masyarakat. Istilah taubat tentunya relevan untuk mereka yang melakukan kesalahan hanya sekali, mungkin karena lupa atau tidak tahu, bukan berkali-kali. Oleh karenanya Allah mengatakan: ”Sesungguhnya taubat kepada Allah hanya untuk mereka yang melakukan keburukan, karena tidak mengetahui kemudian tidak lama dia langsung bertaubat.”Kata Kunci: Jarîmah, Jamal al-Banna, taubat.

Amang Rahman (1931-2001) was an Indonesian painter which has a deeply awareness of God's presence, and have a concept of art which he called Jamal, Kamal and Jalal—embodied by the sweat, blood and tears, which means sacrifice, devotion and love to the Creator and His creatures. Forms of this study is a qualitative field research by using descriptive analytical method and approach of Sufi Aesthetics. The sources is the family and closest-friends of Amang Rahman, a few paintings and journalistic articles and Indonesian art critics writings of his works. This study suggests that Amang Rahman is a sufi in a modern world. Experiences and attitudes totality of his life proving his devotion to both the art and life itself intact. In the works of his art reflected awareness of space and the cosmos that represents nature imajinal ('alam al-khayal), traditions and symbols of Sufism.

Jamal Khashoggi is known for his very sharp critics to Saudi Arabian Governments. He was murdered at the Consulate facility of Saudi Arabia in Istanbul- Turkey. The case has become a concern of international society, put the questions of freedom of expression and press as well the security of journalist. This article is a normative legal research that is aimed to analyze the international human rights law’s protection to the journalist's activities and to discuss the case of Khashoggi, specifically on the issue which authorities that have obligations to impose legal sanctions to the alleged perpetrators. The research suggests that there have been international human rights norms and principles that protect journalist activities. In addition, it suggests that Turkey has jurisdiction to launch an investigation and prosecute the perpetrators who involve in the murder of Jamal Khashoggi.

Abstract:

The aim of this research is to describe the forms and the meanings of reduplication which is found in Jamal Jamilah novel written by Boma Kampau, one of the writers came from Kampar Regency. The method used in this research is a descriptive method. The result of the research showed that there are four forms of reduplication in this novel. They are (1) full reduplication, (2) part reduplication, (3) affix reduplication, and (4) reduplication with the changes of phonemes. There are three kinds of meaning in reduplication, the first meaning is indicated many meanings, the second is indicated repetition, and the third is indicated the meaning of the action which is done well, cassually and leisurely.AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk dan makna kata ulang yang terdapat dalam novel Jamal Jamilah karya Boma Kampau, salah seorang sastrawan yang berasal dari Kabupaten Kampar. Metode yang digunakan dalam tulisan ini adalah metode deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bentuk kata ulang dalam novel ini ada empat yaitu (1) pengulangan seluruh, (2) pengulangan sebagian, (3) pengulangan berimbuhan, dan (4) pengulangan dengan perubahan fonem. Makna yang terdapat dalam kata ulang tersebut ada tiga, pertama menyatakan makna banyak, kedua menyatakan makna berulang-ulang, dan ketiga menyatakan makna perbuatan yang dilakukan dengan enaknya, dengan santainya, atau dengan senangnya.

Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian literature yang dilaksanakan menggunkana metode riset perpustakaan (liberary research). Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif. Sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu buku Khadijah karya Ibrahim Muhammad Hasan Al-Jamal (primer) dan buku-buku yang relevan dengan penelitian ini. Metode analisisnya menggunakan anilisis deskriptif dan analisis isi. Berdasarkan penelitian pustaka yang telah dilakukan teladan akhlak bagi muslimah yang terkandung dalam buku Khadijah teladan agung wanita mukminah dapat disimpulkan terdiri dari akhalak terhadap Allah (meliputi: mentauhidkan Allah, takwa kepada Allah, dzikrullah, tawakal, dan syukur), akhlak terhadap diri sendiri (meliputi: sabar, amanah, iffah / memelihara kesucian diri, sidqu / benar, wafa’ / menepati janji, teguh), akhlak terhadap sesama (meliputi: berbuat baik kepada sesama, suka menolong orang lain / dermawan), akhlak terhadap orang tua (meliputi: memuliakan orang tua), akhlak terhadap suami (meliputi: perhatian dan pengertian terhadap suami, selalu mendukung suami dalam hal kebaikan, setia kepada suami, meringankan beban suami, mentaati perintah suami)

Abstract:

Text will always interacting with the context. He always dialectic with the conditions in which the text was born. Therefore, to understand a text, an understanding about the context becomes a necessity that must be done, not least the understanding of hadith texts. Without understanding a variety of variables and circumstances behind the text that includes historical aspects, sociological, psychological, and so on, then this will potentially misinterpretation. This article explores the ideas of Jamal al-Banna on the methodology of contemporary traditions. He offers concepts and methodologies so resolutive and intelligent in understanding the Sunnah of the Prophet. He also shows how Muslims should ideally interact with the Sunnah. Departing from the description, it will be explored in this article about Jamal al-Banna Sunnah thinking which will then be analyzed in this hermeneutic perspective. According to him, Muslims today should make the Sunnah as a model of ijtihad, which also means keeping the existence of Sunnah. That is, people now have to follow the path and methodology, not the spoken word; follow the Sunnah of the Prophet, do not follow the text of the hadith.

A remarkable man in his own lifetime, Jamal al-Din al-Afghani became a legend after his death.1 For many people, Afghani evokes an image that combines the medieval ideal of the cosmopolitan Islamic scholar with the romantic aura of the 19th-century revolutionary. Since the late 1960s, Afghani has been the object of particular attention and controversy in both the West and the Islamic world. Iranian and Western scholars have radically reinterpreted his background and beliefs.2 This reevaluation of Afghani on the basis of new information about him has, however, not been generally accepted in the Islamic world. If anything, recent attention to Afghani's unorthodoxy and possible irreligion has only served to harden his defenders by giving credence to his own statements. Afghani plays an important role in the historical image of Muslim unity and sophistication presented by many Islamic groups and governments in this age of revived panIslamism. His plea for Islamic renewal through solidarity never lost its relevance as a powerful symbol linking the past with hopes for the future. The image of Afghani as the indefatigable fighter against Western imperialism who helped make the Muslim world aware of its distinct identity remains equally as suggestive.
