Takada, Hareo. "Etude contrastive de certains types de mots composés japonais et français." Paris 13, 2004. http://www.theses.fr/2004PA131004.
Full textThe objective of this study is to make clear, by a contrastive method, the organisation of Japanese and French nominal compounding, in order to togive a guidepost to those who wish to teach the vocabulary of Japanese or French as a foreign laguage, from a point of view of learning strategy, as well as to those who whis to learn it from the same point of view. Four types of construction (i. E. Noun of Noun and Noun no Noun, NounAdjective and Adjective Noun, modified Noun modifying Noun and Modifying Noun modified Noun, and Verb Noun et Noun Verb), were taken up as an objecti of study, in order to answer the question why a type of typologically equivalent nominal compounding shows more often a difference of productivity between the two languages, while another does not. In order to explain this phenomenon in the framework of lexique-grammaire, we examined some transformational and distributional properties of the two languages

Full textThis work is a phonetic and semiological analysis in the susceptible comparative formulation and the contrast of different elements. In comparing the French and Japanese onomatopoeia, the relation between the sound and the signification appear. On the other hand, the code of each language for creating onomatopoeias is revealed. After the research into the etymology, this work is brought to a consideration of the question between the “signified” and the “signifier”. Many examples in the literature or songs illustrate the effectiveness of the onomatopoeia. The longevity of the onomatopoeia and the feeling of a common sound in both languages demonstrate the longitudinal and horizontal universality

Full textThis study aims at exploring the lexical, morpho-syntactic and modal properties of "meishi" (nouns) and "keishiki meishi" (formal nouns). These are called "nominalizers". This work is divided in two parts : 1) "Concerning the words "no, koto, mono" ; 2) "The function of the words "koto, mono, no" in sentences". In the first section, more than 300 hundred words are treated : proper nouns, toponyms and patronyms (such as Shimonoseki). Compound nouns with "koto" and "mono" are also presented. These examples show the high frequency of "mono" and its generic properties. The second part begins with a section showing the function of "koto, mono, no" in relative clauses. The following section is devoted to predicative positions. Throughout this study a test is used a test for discriminating nouns from "nominalizers"

Full textThis thesis proposes a morphologic, semantic and syntaxic study of compound nouns including a color term in french. This study aims at understanding the functioning of these formations very numerous in French and finding the definitional criteria delimiting these nouns that have very varied structures such as ours blanc, feu rouge, travail au noir or vert-galant. By using a rich corpus containing more than 7000 forms, we undertook a systematic analyze of the phenomenon in order to give an overview of the creation process implemented. This work therefore provides numerous justifications for the substantial use of these locutions and for the dominant position of the color terms in the compounding. Finally, a classification considering the heterogeneity of the structures and of the formation process of the compound nouns including a color term reveals the wealth of the french combinatory

Full textOur thesis concerns the contrastive linguistic study of The reference to colors in the proverbs from a corpus of 208 proverbs collected in France and in Iraq. We shall study how the colors are expressed in both languages (word classes, grammatical and prosodic structure of the statements, the rhetoric tools applied to colors to strengthen their meaning value) as well as the link of the speakers for colors in the proverbs they use. We shall also try to explore in both languages the differences related to the period when the proverb was the most used as well as in the degree of knowledge of the proverbs according to age, sex, profession and the region of the speaker. The French language as well as the Iraqi dialect contain a big proportion of words indicating the color in the proverbs. And it is the connotation of these words that is the origin of the difficulty of understanding. Furthermore, according to countries, cultures and times, the colors take on different meanings sometimes to the antipodes of those of the nearby cultures like the colour white, associated in the West and in Arab countries to purity, while it is refers to mourning in most of the Asian countries. Thanks to the language, as we know it, the man can communicate, exchange information, ideas and eelings. In other words, the speakers can express what they want to express, what they want to sayand the listenerscan receive the information. However, in communication, it is not always easy to understand completely and exactly what is said and written, because the meaning of the word is complicated and sophisticated. The same word, used in these various situations, will have various meanings. The words indicating the color come up against with the same problems. Working as an isolated unity, the proverb is a combinatio of words taken from the general vocabulary of every language. We consider the words indicating the color in the proverbs and the proverbial expressions as the object of our study because the color is everywhere in our life : the color of the plants and animals, the color of the sky and the earth, the color of food, but also because the proverbs constitute a source of rich vocabulary for those who learn the language. The proverbs refers to diverse semantic fields and they reflect nicely the cultural difficulties related to learning of the French language in Iraq. Besides this, we would try to prove through transformations and manipulations that these proverbs can be frozen. An elaborate study of these semantic and syntactical features seemed to us absolutely essential to report the existence of the congealing in the proverbs, a very important and very complex linguistic phenomenon at the same time. Besides that, the critical comparison between these two languages : French and Arabic in this particular case, asserts that the phenomenon of the congealing is just a universal linguistic fact, and reveals that each language has its own mechanisms of congealing. We can note that, from the semantic point of view, the meaning of the proverbs is not calculated according to the rules of the compositionality ; in other words, the global meaning of the proverbs is not the addition of the meaning of the elements which compose them
Iwauchi, Kayoko. "L'agression verbale en japonais : disputes télévisées et forum de plaintes d'enfants." Paris, EHESS, 2006. http://www.theses.fr/2006EHES0044.
Full textThis thesis researches the linguistic characteristics of verba agression in Japanese. A survey carried out among adolescents has revealed taboos that block any direct description of forbidden words during an argument. Two corpora have been chosen to get rounf this difficulty : a series of 11 arguments and an internet forum where children complain about having been victimised by "hurtful words". The analysis of the first corpus has allowed the identification of opposed principles of their enunciative organisation : the argument revolves around the speacker who tries to dominate and crush his opponent. The principale appears at the level of the structure of the interaction, the lexical and syntactical characteristics. This domination of the speacker oppose the rules of ordinary language, entailing "defiance" effects. The analysis of the second corpus illustrates the point of view of the victims of hurtful words by revealing their secret emotive reactions. These express themselves through the use of negative affect verbs and the alternating use of past and non-past tenses, when the mention of these hurtful words reveals always painful personal experiences

Full textThis thesis seeks to analyse Japanese compound verbs and Polish prefixed verbs as a part of complex predicate verbal ocnstuctions. First, the notion of word-formation and consequently that of word are examined by analyses between (ortho)graphic and prosodical words, which include problems of word space and several accentual systems. Next, this analysis of compound verbs goes back to 17th century with the first two Japanese grammars by Rodriguez and Collado, respectively, where the former proposes a dichotomy between "manner of action" and "particle" verbal compounds. Then follows an analysis of contemporary Japanese compound verbs, with particular emphasis on some pairs of transitive and intransitive verbs in the second element of compound. Contrastingly, a typology of verbal prefix constructions in Polish is considered and reviewed. Finally, through a multilingual comparison of The Little Prince, by Saint-Exupéry, using two translations in each of Japanese and Polish, a typology of complex predicate verbal constructions is put forward which corresponds with the language, French, in which this thesis is written and which serves as a pivot for the examination of various verbal constuctions of the languages for comparison, Japanese and Polish: verb compounding and converbal construction for the former, verbal prefixation and infinitival auxiliary construction for the latter
