The JavaScript Sequence Alignment Viewer (JSAV) is designed as a simple-to-use JavaScript component for displaying sequence alignments on web pages. The display of sequences is highly configurable with options to allow alternative coloring schemes, sorting of sequences and ’dotifying’ repeated amino acids. An option is also available to submit selected sequences to another web site, or to other JavaScript code. JSAV is implemented purely in JavaScript making use of the JQuery and JQuery-UI libraries. It does not use any HTML5-specific options to help with browser compatibility. The code is documented using JSDOC and is available from http://www.bioinf.org.uk/software/jsav/.

Abstract:
The coronavirus COVID-19 is affecting 196 countries and territories around the world. The number of deaths keep on increasing each day because of COVID-19. According to World Health Organization (WHO), infected COVID-19 is slightly increasing day by day and now reach to 570,000. WHO is prefer to conduct a screening COVID-19 test via online system. A suitable approach especially in string matching based on symptoms is required to produce fast and accurate result during retrieving process. Currently, four latest approaches in string matching have been implemented in string matching; characters-based algorithm, hashing algorithm, suffix automation algorithm and hybrid algorithm. Meanwhile, extensible markup language (XML), JavaScript object notation (JSON), asynchronous JavaScript XML (AJAX) and JQuery tehnology has been used widelfy for data transmission, data storage and data retrieval. This paper proposes a combination of algorithm among hybrid, JSON and JQuery in order to produce a fast and accurate results during COVID-19 screening process. A few experiments have been by comparison performance in term of execution time and memory usage using five different collections of datasets. Based on the experiments, the results show hybrid produce better performance compared to JSON and JQuery. Online screening COVID-19 is hopefully can reduce the number of effected and deaths because of COVID.

MySQL, sebagai basis data, menggunakan serial protocol. Selanjutnya pelengkap solusi sistem adalah websocket dan Johnny-Five Framework. <p><strong>Abstract.</strong> The latest version of pgAdmin4 was released in mid-2016 and moved to a web-based application that was written in Python and jQuery with Bootstrap, using the Flask framework. This new architecture of pgAdmin4 provided an excellent opportunity to integrate a geometry viewer into the application. This progress started as the geometry viewer was selected as a project for the 2018 Google Summer of Code (GSoC). The requirements for the geometry viewer was elicited through conversations with the mentors and emails to the discussion list of PostGIS and pgAdmin. Once the formal design was finalized the development started. The spatial technology stack implemented to expand pgAdmin4 with a geometry viewer was the JavaScript mapping library Leaflet JS and WKX - parser/serializer library that supports several spatial vector formats. Both these fulfilled the requirements of the coding standard of pgAdmin that all client-side code must be developed in JavaScript using jQuery and other plugins. Leaflet JS is well known for its ease of use and compatibility. WKX is lesser known but well supported and concise to the need to parse the spatial data before rendering on the Leaflet map. The decision on both of these libraries was motivated by their minimal size and possibilities for expansion for future extensions of the viewer. The first version of the geometry viewer was well-received and is currently integrated into the latest versions of pgAdmin4.</p>

Strategic decision-making is often based on multiple decision criteria and on the decision-makers’ preferences regarding relative criterion importance. We present version 2 of a map overlay and opacity tool (moot2), which supports the visual exploration of decision-making scenarios. The tool uses a basic function of geographic information systems (GIS): visual map overlay. In this approach, visual overlay serves as a representation of weighted linear combination in multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA). Using the tool, we model a global human influence index for the extent of the province of Ontario, Canada. The index is a weighted overlay of six indicators that represent human influence on the land. The semi-transparent overlay of the six indicator layers occurs online in a web browser, making it accessible to distant collaborators in low-technology settings. The software architecture of moot2 includes the OpenLayers JavaScript library to display thematic Web Map Service (WMS) layers, such as the human influence indicators, on top of popular base map services, such as OpenStreetMap or Google Maps. The tool also uses jQuery, a JavaScript library that enables interactions between the user and the map environment. Layer opacity is manipulated by the jQuery Slider, permitting the user to generate on-the-fly weighting schemes for the combination of the human influence indicators. By removing the analytical engine (i.e., GIS), decision-makers can perform rapid MCDA without recalculating composite evaluation scores. The case study demonstrates how visual-spatial MCDA supports the refinement of decision-making parameters such as criterion weights.

JavaScript is used on the web together with HTML and CSS, in many cases using frameworks for JavaScript such as jQuery and Backbone.js. This project is comparing the speed and memory allocation of the programming language JavaScript and its two most used frameworks as well as the language on its own. Since JavaScript is not very fast and it has some missing features or features that differ from browser to browser and frameworks solve this problem but at the cost of speed and memory allocation, the aim is to find out how well JavaScript and the two frameworks jQuery and Backbone.js are doing this on Google Chrome Canary. The results varied (mostly) between the implementations and show that the to-do application is a good enough example to use when comparing the results of heap allocation and CPU time of methods. The results where compared with their mean values and using ANOVA. JavaScript was the fastest, but it might not be enough for a developer to completely stop using frameworks. With JavaScript a developer can choose to create a custom framework, or use an existing one based on the results of this project.

När de traditionella skrivbordsapplikationerna görs om till webbapplikationer, ställer det krav på JavaScript som används mer och mer för att få fram ett responsivt gränssnitt på webben. För att underlätta utvecklingen av JavaScriptapplikationer har ett antal funktionsbibliotek skapats. I vår studie undersöker vi därför vilket av de två populäraste JavaScriptbiblioteken idag, jQuery och Prototype, som presterar bäst i dagens mest använda webbläsare. Dessa tester har utförts i ett testramverk som vi själva utvecklat för att vara webbläsaroberoende och inte kräva något av de bibliotek vi testar. Testerna är uppdelade i fyra testfall som körs 20 gånger för att ge ett mer tillförlitligt resultat. Vi har testat hur varje bibliotek hanterar traversering och manipulation av DOM-trädet, sätter och hämtar stilar och attribut på element i DOM-trädet och hanterar event på element i DOM-trädet. Testerna visade att biblioteket Prototype presterade bättre på alla utom ett testfall i majoriteten av våra utvalda webbläsare; det enda testfallet där jQuery presterade bättre än Prototype var där DOM-trädet skulle manipuleras. Trots att Prototype inte alls är lika omtalat som jQuery, verkar det vara ett bättre bibliotek att använda till webbapplikationer som ska ha ett interaktivt gränssnitt då det i flertalet av våra tester presterar bättre.

New technological innovations like tablets and smartphones have a taken significant market share on the web and puts new demands on webpages, the user interface and compatibility among different client devices. The full test of a web-based system prior to the publication is often regarded as an important part of the process to create a complete and successful website. This bachelor thesis investigates the possibility to analyze mobile-adapted web sites using a system that first records the visitor's activities and then replays them for an expert analyst to provide valuable information to developers about how their site can be improved. The essay begins with a litterature study on today's most common web development tools and then examines the possibility to apply them during the development of the analysis tool. The work also describes two methods, pair programming and waterfall method used during the project. Three different evaluation methods are presented and one of the models is applied on the finished system. The project results in a web-based analysis tool written mainly in JavaScript using the jQuery library. The analysis tool is tested to not affect the user experiences and evaluated by known evaluation models.
Nya tekniska innovationer som surfplattor och smarta mobiltelefoner har intagit stora marknadsandelar på webben vilket sätter nya krav på webbsidornas användargränssnitt och kompatibilitet bland olika klientenheter. Ett fullständigt test av ett webbaserad system före offentlig publicering anses ofta som en viktig del i utvecklingen för att skapa en komplett och framgångsrikt webbsystem. Denna kandidatuppsats undersöker möjligheten att analysera mobilanpassade webbsidor med hjälp av ett system som först spelar in besökarens aktiviteter och sedan spelas upp för utbildade webbanalytiker som ska kunna ge värdefull information till utvecklare om hur deras sida kan förbättras. Uppsatsen börjar med en litteraturstudie på dagens vanligaste webbutvecklingsverktyg för att sedan undersöka möjligheten att tillämpa dessa under utvecklingsfasen av analysverktyget. Arbetet beskriver även två arbetsmetoder som har använts under projektets gång: parprogrammering och vattenfallsmetoden. Tre olika utvärderingsmodeller presenteras och en av modellen tillämpas på det färdiga system. Projektarbetet resulterar i ett webbaserad analysverktyg skrivet huvudsakligen i JavaScript med biblioteket jQuery. Analysverktyget testas för att inte påverka besökarens surfkänsla samt utvärderas efter kända utvärderingsmodeller.

Chatbots are software agents that interact with the user in a conversation. The main goal of their creation was to resemble a human being in the way they perform said interaction, trying to make the user think he/she is writing to another human being. This has been implemented with varying degrees of success. One of the most popular languages for the definition of a chatbot knowledge base is AIML.This thesis focuses on the implementation of an AIML interpreter written in Javascript to allow for a web-based client-side specific usage of AIML chatbots. The interpreter must guarantee the compliance of properly formed AIML documents, perform all the necessary pre-processing duties for the correct usage of the chatbot and ensure the correctness of both pattern matching of user input and chatbot response.The interpreter fully exploits the DOM tree manipulation functions of the jQuery library to achieve said goals, treating AIML files as if they were normal XML files. The result is a well performing, fully functional AIML interpreter tailored around AIML 1.0 specification.

Idag utförs arbete ofta på resande fot och då används smarta telefoner och surfplat- tor istället för datorer. Dessa skärmar är oftast mindre än vad en datorskärm är. Där- för efterfrågas en mer dynamisk design av webbsidor som anpassar sig till storleken på skärmen. Webbsidans statiska design var 1000 pixlar bred och innehöll många tabeller vilket skulle få plats i den dynamiska designen med en minsta bredd på 320 pixlar. En del viktig information behövde även lyftas fram och göras tydligare. Det implementerades en ny CSS-mall samt flera nya JavaScript. En del HTML justerades för att passa den nya CSS-mallen. Eftersom en del viktig information behövdes pre- senteras tydligare skapades en helt ny flik. Innehållet blev driftinformation relaterat till den inloggade kunden. Efter simuleringarna i Chrome verifierades responsivite- ten av sidorna på alla skärmstorlekar. Implementeringen av AJAX gjorde att de lång- samma sidorna svarade direkt, men förbättrade inte den totala laddtiden. För att förbättra den skulle en back-end optimering behöva utföras. Projektets webbsida fu- gerade enligt önskemål.
In today ́s society people are working more and more while travelling, which makes them use smartphones and tablets instead of laptops. These screens are usually smaller than a laptop screen. That is why a more dynamic web design has been re- quested in order to fit the screen on the device being used. The static webpage’s width was 1000 pixels and the goal was to fit all the tables and information in the respon- sive version with a width of 320 pixels. Important information also had to be moved to a different page in order to make it more visible. A new CSS-template was imple- mented and several new Java Scripts followed by finer adjustments to the HTML code. Since some information had to be more visible to the user, a new tab was cre- ated in order to fulfill this demand. The new tab contained information about “Net- work Status” only related to the signed in user. After simulating the webpage in Chrome the responsiveness of the page was confirmed on all screen sizes. Sending the webpage asynchronously made the slow pages respond instantly but the total loading time was still slow. To fix this, back-end programming would have been re- quired. The project’s webpage fulfilled all the requirements.

Метою даної роботи є створення додатку, для поліпшення роботи готелів. За допомогою якого можна буде переглянути послуги для замовлення та замовити та буде можливість викликати потрібного працівника для додаткової консультації. За допомогою додатку можна буде переглядати всі послуги , які доступні для замовлення, їх точну ціну та самостійно зробити замовлення на потрібну дату та час. Результатом роботи є реалізація таких можливостей додатку: - авторизація на сайті - перегляд послуг із доступного переліку; - замовлення до номеру послуг із доступного переліку; - бронювання готельного номеру; Подальший розвиток можливий в сторону розширення функціональних можливостей, покращення інтерфейсу та розробки серверної частини додатку. Робота має практичну цінність. Розрахунок економічної цінності не проводився.
The object of development was a hotel application, namely the client part for authorization, viewing and ordering services. The application was developed for the Windows operating system, using CSS, HTML and Java Script technologies, as well as tools such as JQuery. The purpose of this work is to create an application to improve the performance of hotels. With which you can view the services to order and order and will be able to call the right employee for additional advice. With the help of the application you will be able to view all the services available for ordering, their exact price and make your own order for the desired date and time. Men för att kunna börja använda exjobbspoolen behövdes vissa efterfrågade funktioner utvecklas och befintliga förbättras. För att en mer enhetlig känsla med resten av KTH:s hemsidor skulle uppnås samt att presentationen av sidans innehåll skulle visas på ett effektivare sätt behövdes även webbportalens layout göras om. Den här rapporten tar upp hur systemet har vidareutvecklats och varför valda metoder har använts. Arbetet har gjorts utifrån projektmetoden Feature-Driven Development och är konstruerat i HTML5, PHP, JavaScript, jQuery och har en databas av typen PostgreSQL. Resultatet av projektet är en webbportal som ger möjligheten till företag eller institutioner att förmedla exjobb med önskad formatering. Det examensarbetet kan sedan sökas och bokas av studenter som har identifierats sig via KTHs-inloggningstjänst.
In a previous project at the School of Information and Communication Technology at KTH, a web portal called exjobbspoolen was created with the aim of making it possible for companies to advertise graduate jobs that students at the School of ICT could apply for. But in order to start using this webportal some requested featureshad to be developed and some existing improved. For a more consistent feel with the rest of the KTH websites the layout also had to be redone. This report discusses how the system has been developed and why selected methods have been used. The projec have been driven based on Feature Driven Development, and is developed in HTML5, PHP, JavaScript, jQuery and has a PostgreSQL database. The result of the project is a web portal that provides the ability for companies or institutions to submit graduate jobs with the desired formatting. The job can then be searched and booked by students who have been identified via the KTH-login service.

Abstract:
Allt eftersom undervisningsmaterialet utökas med nytt och reviderat material behöver lärarna hjälpa sina studenter att bli motiverade till att lära sig materialet. Genom att använda interaktiva verktyg blir undervisningen mer intressant och gör det enklare att visa komplext material i undervisningen. JavaScript är det mest använda programmeringsspråket på internet och användas för att skapa dynamiska webbsidor. Animationer är en sekvens av bilder som får ett objekt att röra på sig. Denna studies resultat visar på att AnimeJS är det JavaScriptsbibliotek med minst signifikanta skillnader i datan som har utvunnits från mätningar. Studien visar även att JavaScriptsbiblioteken blir påverkade av vilken webbläsare som används, både för att hålla sin fördefinierade animationslängd och för webbläsaren att exekvera animationens funktionen snabbare.
