<p>Virtual walkthroughs have become one of the most effective tools for the dissemination of archaeological heritage, particularly in those cases in which the site, by location or by their morphology, can not be visited. In this paper we describe the workflow for producing such tools, focusing on its two main phases: 3D digital documentation and the use of a game engine to create a virtual walkthrough. In this same line, as a case study, we describe the intervention in the archaeological site “Cova del Barranc del Migdia”, located on the southern face of Mount Montgó, within the Montgó Natural Park, in the town of Javea (Alicante, Spain).</p>

Abstract:
Abstract The extent (determined by the repellency indices RI and RIc) and persistence (determined by the water drop penetration time, WDPT) of soil water repellency (SWR) induced by pines were assessed in vastly different geographic regions. The actual SWR characteristics were estimated in situ in clay loam soil at Ciavolo, Italy (CiF), sandy soil at Culbin, United Kingdom (CuF), silty clay soil at Javea, Spain (JaF), and sandy soil at Sekule, Slovakia (SeF). For Culbin soil, the potential SWR characteristics were also determined after oven-drying at 60°C (CuD). For two of the three pine species considered, strong (Pinus pinaster at CiF) and severe (Pinus sylvestris at CuD and SeF) SWR conditions were observed. Pinus halepensis trees induced slight SWR at JaF site. RI and RIc increased in the order: JaF < CuF < CiF < CuD < SeF, reflecting nearly the same order of WDPT increase. A lognormal distribution fitted well to histograms of RIc data from CuF and JaF, whereas CiF, CuD and SeF had multimodal distributions. RI correlated closely with WDPT, which was used to develop a classification of RI that showed a robust statistical agreement with WDPT classification according to three different versions of Kappa coefficient.

Abstract:
AbstractAssessment of soil water repellency (SWR) was conducted in the decomposed organic floor layer (duff) and in the mineral soil layer of two Mediterranean pine forests, one in Italy and the other in Spain, by the widely-used water drop penetration time (WDPT) test and alternative indices derived from infiltration experiments carried out by the minidisk infiltrometer (MDI). In particular, the repellency index (RI) was calculated as the adjusted ratio between ethanol and water soil sorptivities whereas the water repellency cessation time (WRCT) and the specifically proposed modified repellency index (RIm) were derived from the hydrophobic and wettable stages of a single water infiltration experiment. Time evolution of SWR and vegetation cover influence was also investigated at the Italian site. All indices unanimously detected severe SWR conditions in the duff of the pine forests. The mineral subsoils in the two forests showed different wettability and the clay-loam subsoil at Ciavolo forest was hydrophobic even if characterized by organic matter (OM) content similar to the wettable soil of an adjacent glade. It was therefore assumed that the composition rather than the total amount of OM influenced SWR. The hydraulic conductivity of the duff differed by a factor of 3.8–5.8 between the two forested sites thus influencing the vertical extent of SWR. Indeed, the mineral subsoil of Javea showed wettable or weak hydrophobic conditions probably because leaching of hydrophobic compounds was slowed or prevented at all. Estimations of SWR according to the different indices were in general agreement even if some discrepancies were observed. In particular, at low hydrophobicity levels the SWR indices gathered from the MDI tests were able to signal sub-critical SWR conditions that were not detected by the traditional WDPT index. The WRCT and modified repellency index RImyielded SWR estimates in reasonable agreement with those obtained with the more cumbersome RI test and, therefore, can be proposed as alternative procedures for SWR assessment.

This study was a preliminary study to get information about suitable salinity for spawning and hatching. Parameter observed were spawning ability in 0 and 20 ppt and hatching rate of egg among 0. 15 and 30 ppt and development of larval fish in 0 ppt. Result indicated that the fish was be able to spawn in 0 and 20 ppt. Eggs were hatched within 9 days in 30 ppt, faster than in freshwater and 15 ppt. In general, O. javanicus was be able to spawn either in freshwater or seawater, but there are differences in the behavior of fish in the laying of egg. Fish will carried their eggs in the abdomen in freshwater, while 20 ppt salinity fish tends to release the eggs. O. javanicus be able to live and lay eggs on freshwater and seawater. <p><span>ABSTRACT</span></p><p><span><br /><span>Indigenous vegetables have become popular in recent Indonesian diet, but agronomic and <span>economic studies on these crops are limited. The objective of this research was to investigate the <span>cultural technique of indigenous vegetables, their uses and economic importance in West Java, <span>Indonesia. Initial market observation was conducted in Bogor to determine the economic value of <span>indigenous vegetables. In depth observations of the indigenous vegetables and interviews with<span> merchants, farmers and consumers were conducted in three districts, i.e., Bogor, Cianjur and <span>Tasikmalaya, focusing on four indigenous vegetables familiar to local people, i.e., genjer <span>(Limnocharis flava (L.) This study showed that <span>indigenous vegetables have been produced in extensive and semi-intensive cultivations and are sold<span> in local markets daily, although local people do not consume them frequently. Indigenous vegetables held a market share of less than 5% at local markets, and accounted for less than 10% in household vegetable consumption. The reasons for consumers to choose indigenous vegetables were familiarity to these crops, moderate prices, family members’ preference, availability and ease of preparation. Generally, younger family members (&lt;30 years old) bought indigenous vegetables less frequently than older ones (&gt;30 years old), possibly due to lack of information on its use, unfamiliar flavor and high availability of other commercial vegetables commonly grown worldwide.<br /></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></p><p><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span>Keywords: Cosmos caudatus, Limnocharis flava, local knowledge, Pilea melastomoides, Solanum americanum</span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></p><p><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><br />ABSTRAK</span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></span></p><p><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><span><br />Popularitas sayuran indigenus terus meningkat di Indonesia, namun studi agronomi dan ekonominya masih terbatas. <span lang="EN-MY">Parallel programming has been implemented in many areas to solve various computational problem with the aim, to improve the performance and scalability of the software application. There are a few parallel programming models commonly used, namely, threads, and message passing (distributed) models. Furthermore, various APIs have been proposed to implement these models based on two popular languages, notably, C/C++ and Java. A few studies have been done to compare the performance of parallel programming models, specifically, pure versus hybrid model. However, most of existing comparisons targeted on MPI/OpenMP based on C/C++ language. In this paper, our aim is to explore the performance comparison between threads, message passing and hybrid model in Java, specifically using Java multithreading and MPJ Express. For this reason, we have chosen a problem called word count occurrence which is significant in Natural Language Processing and use it to design and implement the parallel programs. We then present their performance and discuss the results.</span>

Abstract:
The VRML (Virtual Reality Modeling Language) file format is a popular file format for describing a graphical scene: object shapes, appearance properties, animation, and interactions. However, the format does not provide any mechanism for describing the order of objects' appearances or their changes over time. Instead, an interface to Java is offered for controlling the temporal relationships between objects in the scene. The use of Java makes it difficult for a person with his programming skill to author a dynamic virtual environment. In this paper we attach a span and an age to each object and their hierarchical and temporal relations are expressed in a new data structure, called a span graph (SpanGraph). An object in the span graph, when alive, grows its age and performs associated actions according to its age during the extent of the time span. Furthermore, the object may have child objects whose spans are sub-extents of the parent span. In this paper, we demonstrate uses of the SpanGraph in virtual studio and virtual engineering design applications.

<span lang="IN">This article aims to describe <em>Rebo Wekasan</em> and its various rituals by focusing on the thoughts of KH. Abdul Hamid Kudus have written particularly in his work <em>Kanz a</em></span><em><span>l-</span><span lang="IN">Naj</span><span>ā</span><span lang="IN">ḥ wa </span><span>al-</span><span lang="IN">Surūr</span></em><span lang="IN">. The data was collected through the documentation method and analyzed critically. This study found that <em>Rebo Wekasan</em> ritual is local wisdom combined with Islamic values. The origins of rituals carried out by some Indonesian Muslim people, especially on Java, often refer to the opinion of KH. Abdul Hamid Kudus. His thought is that Allah reveals various kinds of disasters and trials on the last Wednesday of the month of Ṣafar, so that people were advised to perform certain rituals such as sunnah prayers, reading verses of the Qur'an, ṣalawat, and praying. These rituals are indeed practiced in several areas in Java with various modifications of local traditions which are manifested in the form of cultural carnivals, Quranic recitations, and <em>selamatan</em> (local gathering). However, his book is an inseparable from criticism, especially criticisms of sources that are considered less authoritative and critical in terms of the quality of the hadith about <em>Rebo Wekasan.</em></span>

Absolute accuracy or <em>calibration</em> is the average correspondence between JOL and memory performance. Metamemory relative accuracy or <em>resolution</em> is a measure of how sensitive a participant is to the differential recallability between two studied items. Unfortunately, factors altering both calibration and resolution very often change also the distribution of JOL on the available scale for judgment. The problem with these effects on JOL distribution is that they could yield an altered resolution estimation due to the way in which its usual estimate is computed. <em>JOLer</em> simulates the behavior of participants in a typical metamemory procedure. The application is offered as a tool for metamemory researchers: it affords the opportunity to check whether, maintaining calibration parameters but changing JOL distributions between conditions, a different (and somewhat spurious) resolution estimate would be obtained.</span></span></span></p>

Abstract:
To write a comparative study on so broad a scale as colonial exploitation systems in two such very different countries as Java and India would be an enormous task. A more practical approach would be to select a single aspect of the Dutch system on Java for study, and compare this same feature in the context of the British colony. And, conversely, to isolate a particular facet of British practice in India and compare it to Dutch usage on Java, asking.how the systems worked or did not work as they did over a given span of time.

Abstract:
Indonesia is the world’s largest archipelago with many major rivers in the big islands of Sumatera, Kalimantan, and Java. As part of its road network, major bridges are constructed to cross these rivers. Considering the span of the bridges and its aesthetic point of view, the application of Long Span Steel Truss Bridges in Indonesia is very popular among others. Its span varies from 70 to 270 meters in length. For long span bridges, aerodynamics is an important aspect for the design and construction of the bridges. In order to ensure the stability of the bridges against the aerodynamic effect of the wind, wind tunnel study and test has been conducted for most of the bridges. This paper presents the parameter and characteristic of several Long Span Steel Truss Bridges in Indonesia, i.e. Tayan Kapuas Bridge, Musi VI Bridge, New Kutai Kartanegara Bridges and Teluk Mesjid Bridge. The bridges will be assessed against BD 49/01. Parameters and assessment results are then compared with wind tunnel results.

Abstract:
<span>The availability of information about solar radiation characteristics, particularly solar radiation predictions, is important for efficiently designing solar energy systems. Solar radiation information is not available in Indonesia because official measurements have not been conducted by the Indonesian Meteorological, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency (BMKG). In this study, a new two-step artificial neural network (ANN) is proposed to estimate both the daily average and hourly solar radiation at Java Island, Indonesia. The input parameters for the daily average solar radiation estimation are the location and time required, along with five selected monthly meteorological parameters that BMKG predicts for the subsequent month. The selected meteorological parameters are temperatures, relative humidity, and precipitation. The estimated daily average solar radiation is then used as the input parameter of the hourly solar radiation estimation along with the local time and location. The ANN training was conducted using two years of data, 2018 and 2019, from Surabaya and Jakarta, while the validation was performed in the same cities for January through July 2020. The accuracy of the proposed method is comparable to previous studies with an average R2 of 98.70% for the daily average solar radiation estimate and 97.44% for the hourly solar radiation estimate.</span>
