Abstract:
The objective of this thesis is to research how to use JavaScript to communicate with a legacy JMS broker, specifically OpenMQ 4.1 and implementing a proof- of-concept of this. This proof-of-concept should be able to send and receive JMS messages. The necessary preparations for designing this application was to research possible ways of communicating with different JMS brokers using oth- er languages than Java. This research showed that the only viable method in or- der to communicate with this version of OpenMQ is to create a Java bridge be- tween JavaScript and the JMS broker. The results shows that it's possible to use JavaScript to communicate with OpenMQ 4.1 by using a Java Bridge together with NodeJS. This result is performed by making an integration test, by first sending a message with a certain ID to the API and then receiving a response at the intended response destination with the same ID. The front-end of the proof- of-concept provides a web application UI for performing this integration test. Future improvements of this implementation can be done by extending the Java Bridge and API in such a way that it can be used against many different JMS brokers. The configuration data used can also be stored in more reliable ways, if multiple users are using the API and web application at the same time, for example by using a database instead of JSON files.

Abstract:
The subject of this Master’s thesis was recalculation and design two variants of existing supporting steel structure storey administrative building which is located in the complex of Jihomoravská plynárenská a.s. in the city center of Brno. Dimensions and disposition based on the specifications of the Master‘s thesis. The total height of the structure is 29.46 m and circular platform has a diameter of 16.088 m. The supporting structure of an existing building consists of circumferential lattice structure. The main supporting elements of both variants are columns. Option A has 8 columns. Option B has 16 columns. These two variants were preliminarily designed and statically evaluated. After that was made a comparison of variants, and one was selected for more detailed processing (Option A). This included the calculation of anchorage, draft of mounting joints, technical report and drawing documentation.

Abstract:

Syfte: Syftet med denna uppsats är att beskriva och analysera hur IT-företaget JMB gått tillväga för att implementera sin strategi samt att undersöka vilka faktorer som har varit viktiga för JMB:s strategiimplementering.

Avgränsningar: Vi har i studien avgränsat oss till ett fallföretag vilket innebär att strategiimplementering och faktorer i andra företag har inte beaktas. Vi har även avstått ifrån att fördjupa oss i utvärdering och uppföljning av strategin.

Metod: En fallstudie har genomförts på ett IT-företag, där vi har genomfört intervjuer på tre olika nivåer i organisationen. Utifrån den konceptuella modellen har det empiriska och teoretiska materialet analyserats.

Resultat, slutsatser: Svaret på frågeställningen är att JMB implementerar sin strategi genom att arbeta i en decentraliserad organisationsstruktur där företagets olika affärsområden får arbeta självständigt efter målstyrning samt ”empowerment”. Viktiga övergripande faktorer är organisationsstruktur och inflytande, ledarskap, organisationskultur, samt strategisk kontroll och förändring.

Abstract:
This thesis deals with messaging and integration of third-party JMS providers into JBoss application server. The aim of the thesis was to design and implement a general-purpose testsuite to verify the proposed integration. First requirement was to get familiar with key technologies for integration including Java Message Service, Java EE Connector Architecture, selected JMS providers and JBoss AS. Specific procedures of integration were designed and described for JMS providers Apache ActiveMQ, IBM WebSphere MQ and Red Hat MRG Messaging. The testsuite implemented to verify the functionlity of the integration focuses on four areas - transactions, clustering, high availibility and performance. The process of testing was automated using continuous integration tool Jenkins. Finally the test application was used to evaluate functionality of the integration and compare different JMS providers and various versions of JBoss AS.

Abstract:
Strömmande musiktjänster erbjuder ett stort utbud av musik. Förutom att användare kan skapa egna listor från detta utbud, erbjuder tjänsterna ofta personliga rekommendationer. Även om rekommendationerna passar användaren väl, passar de inte alltid för situationen de befinner sig i. I denna studie presenteras en artefakt i form av en kontextmedveten musikapplikation som använder Spotify för rekommendation och uppspelning av musik. En kontextmedveten musikapplikation är en applikation som tar användarens kontext i beaktning vid musikrekommendation. I denna studie refererar kontext till den situation som en potentiell användare befinner sig i, exempelvis "ute och springer i parken klockan tre". Vi presenterar en enkätundersökning om vilka kontextuella faktorer användare tycker är viktiga, och frågor kring lyssnarbeteende. Artefakten testas i en användarstudie och resultaten analyseras och diskuteras i relation till tidigare forskning. Vi ser att användare har en positiv inställning till att kontextuella faktorer påverkar vilken musik de lyssnar på, och att det finns en positiv inställning till kontextmedvetna musikapplikationer. Vidare ser vi att aktivitet är den mest relevanta kontextuella faktorn för användare.
Music streaming services offer a large quantity of music. Apart from users being able to create their own playlists, these services also offer personal music recommendations. Even though these recommendations meet the users preferences, they don't always fit the users current situation. In this study, we present an artifact in the shape of a context-aware music recommender application, that uses Spotify services to recommend and handle playback of music. A context-aware music application is an application that takes a users current context in consideration when recommending music. In this study, context-aware refers to the situation a given user might find themselves in, e.g. "jogging in the park at 3pm". We present a questionnaire about which contextual factors users think are important, and questions about listening preferences. The artifact is tested in a user study, and the results are analysed and discussed in relation to previous studies. We found that users have a positive attitude towards contextual factors influencing which music they listen to, and that there is a positive attitude towards contextual music recommenders. Furthermore we found that activity is the most relevant contextuall factor to users.

Abstract:
Nowadays, verification of programs is gaining increased importance. The software industry appears more and more interested in methods and tools to ensure security in their applications. Java Modeling Language has been successfully used in the past by programmers to express their intentions in the Design by Contract fashion in sequential programming. One of the design goals of JML was to improve the functional software correctness of Java applications. Regarding the verification of security properties, JML was mostly successful in Java Smart Card applets due to the specifics of these applications. In this thesis work we investigate the feasibility of JML to express high-level security properties in Java applications that have more realistic requirements and are implemented in the object oriented technology. We do a threat analysis of a case study regarding a medical clinic and derive the required security properties to secure the application. We develop a prototype application where we specify high-level security properties with JML and use a runtime assertion checking tool to verify the code. We model the functional behavior of the prototype that establishes the security proper-ties as a finite state automaton. Our prototype is developed based on this automaton. States and state transitions modeled in the automaton are expressed in the prototype with JML annotations and verified during runtime. We observe that currently available features in JML are not very feasible to capture the security related behavior of Java programs on the level of the entire application.

Esta caída en las metas económicas se está dando por la deficiente dirección de sus proyectos, que han generado sobrecostos en su ejecución y ha sacado a relucir la falta de experiencia en este campo de sus profesionales técnicos. Para lograr este objetivo, se ha decidido usar la metodología PMO Value Ring por su facilidad de adaptación a cualquier modelo de negocio. Cabe destacar que esta metodología define a la PMO como una entidad prestadora de servicios que centraliza todas las funciones que tengan relación referente a la dirección de proyectos, con el objetivo de atender las necesidades y expectativas de sus clientes para poder generar valor. El diseño de la PMO se establecerá mediante un proyecto usando la herramienta Project Canvas para plantear de manera visual los elementos a tomar en cuenta siguiendo los lineamientos de la Guía del PMBOK® Sexta Edición para la dirección de proyectos. Se propondrá un plan de trabajo para la Gestión del Cambio Organizacional basada en el ACMP® Standard for Change Management y el PMI® Managing Change in Organizations: A practice guide, con la finalidad de evitar conflictos con el personal ante la incertidumbre que esta pueda generar, y que afecte aún más el rendimiento de la empresa. Al finalizar el proyecto, JMO tendrá una PMO lista para iniciar operaciones.

Este trabalho pretende explicar como funciona o sistema de Planeamento das Necessidades de Material (MRP) e apresenta o processo de implementação de um desses sistemas num caso de estudo. O MRP é um sistema que foi desenvolvido para ajudar as organizações a calcular o que, quando e quanto produzir e comprar, de modo a minimizar o investimento em stocks e maximizar a eficiência das operações. O trabalho divide-se em duas partes. A primeira parte explica o que é o Planeamento e Controlo de Produção e define ainda os aspectos fundamentais de um sistema MRP, os seus inputs, os seus outputs e a sua lógica de funcionamento. A segunda parte apresenta um caso de estudo de uma pequena empresa metalúrgica que se encontra no processo de implementação de um sistema MRP. Nessa parte explicam-se as etapas do projecto e apresenta-se o trabalho realizado até a data. ABSTRACT: This work aims to explain how works the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems and introduced the process of implementing one of these systems in a case study. The MRP is a system that was developed to help organizations to calculate what, when and how much produce and buy, to minimize the investment in stocks and maximize the efficiency of operations. The work is divided into two parts. The first part explains what the Production Planning Control and also defines the fundamental aspects of an MRP system, the inputs, outputs and their logic of their operation. The second part presents a case study of a small metallurgical company that is in the process of implementing an MRP system. In this part explain to the steps of the project and is the work done to date.

The subject of diploma thesis is a blue-print of appropriate adjustment space by the railway station in Brno Řečkovice, in terms of road structures, so that it meets all requirements of public transfer terminal and IDS JMK. Terminal should server as a transfer station between bus service and pojected North-Southern Rail Diameter. In the terminal, there should be a continuity on systems P+R, K+R and B+R ensured. The project is dealing with a partial design of adjacent local roads. The work is processed in AutoCAD 2011, Bentley InRoads and Microsoft Office 2007.

Abstract:
Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to examine how age and job identification affect entrepreneurial intention. Design/methodology/approach: The researchers draw on a representative sample of the Austrian adult workforce and apply binary logistic regression on entrepreneurial intention. Findings: The findings reveal that as employees age they are less inclined to act entrepreneurially, and that their entrepreneurial intention is lower the more they identify with their job. Whereas gender, education, and previous entrepreneurial experience matter, leadership and having entrepreneurial parents seem to have no impact on the entrepreneurial intention of employees. Research implications: Implications relate to a contingency perspective on entrepreneurial intention where the impact of age is exacerbated by stronger identification with the job. Practical implications: Practical implications include the need to account for different motivational backgrounds when addressing entrepreneurial employees of different ages. Societal implications include the need to adopt an age perspective to foster entrepreneurial intentions within established organizations. Originality/value: While the study corroborates and extends findings from entrepreneurial intention research, it contributes new empirical insights to the age and job - dependent contingency perspective on entrepreneurial intention. Abstract:
Mes travaux de thèse s'articulaient autour de la validation de modèles et de programmes. En ce sens, les modèles sont validés par animation, de manière à s'assurer qu'ils décrivent le bon comportement du système qu'ils représentent. Il s'agit d'un processus semi-automatique, car l'utilisateur sélectionne les actions du système à exécuter et effectue la comparaison entre les descriptions informelles données dans le cahier des charges et les résultats produits par le modèle. Un modèle validé est ensuite utilisé dans l'objectif de produire des cas de tests fonctionnels destinés à être joués sur une implantation ou un système sous test. Le modèle formel est ainsi utilisé à deux niveaux : d'une part, il permet de calculer de manière automatique les suites de tests, et, d'autre part, il sert d'oracle pour établir le verdict du test.
Au cours de ces travaux, nous nous sommes intéressés à la validation de programmes Java par l'intermédiaire de son langage de modélisation associé, nommé JML. Suite aux expériences et aux savoirs-faire accumulés au sein de l'équipe Techniques Formelles et à Contraintes du Laboratoire d'Informatique de Franche-Comté, nous avons choisi d'appliquer une représentation logico-ensembliste des modèles JML, reposant sur des solveurs de contraintes pour gérer les valeurs des variables des modèles objets que nous traitons. A partir de cette représentation symbolique, nous avons exprimé l'animation symbolique d'un modèle objet basé sur la sémantique de Java, utilisant les descriptions formelles contenues dans les pré- et postconditions des spécifications des méthodes.
Nous nous sommes ensuite appuyés sur la définition symbolique des états du système objet pour extraire des cibles de tests, liées aux comportements issus des méthodes, définies par un prédicat obtenu par conjonction de la condition d'activation du comportement et de la mise aux limites des attributs des objets du système et des paramètres de la méthode sous test. L'animation symbolique du modèle entre en jeu pour la construction des cas de tests. Un algorithme de parcours de l'espace d'états effectue la recherche d'un chemin d'exécution menant à la cible. Les cas de tests sont ensuite concrétisés pour produire un pilote de test Java. Une étude de cas a été menée sur une modélisation fonctionnelle d'un porte-monnaie électronique.
Ces travaux ont été implantés dans un prototype, nommé JML-Testing-Tools, qui permet l'animation symbolique d'un modèle JML et la génération de cas de tests pour l'implantation Java qui lui est associée. Ce prototype est composé d'un compilateur traduisant une spécification JML et des signatures de classes Java dans un format logico-ensembliste. Le modèle décrit dans ce format est ensuite animé par un interpréteur rétablissant la sémantique opérationnelle du Java/JML.

Abstract:
Autonomic Computing (AC) aims at solving the problem of managing the rapidly-growing complexity of Information Technology systems, by creating self-managing systems. In this thesis, we have surveyed the progress of the AC field, and studied the requirements, models and architectures of AC. The commonly recognized AC requirements are four properties - self-configuring, self-healing, self-optimizing, and self-protecting. The recommended software architecture is the MAPE-K model containing four modules, namely - monitor, analyze, plan and execute, as well as the knowledge repository. In the modern software marketplace, Java Management Extensions (JMX) has facilitated one function of the AC requirements - monitoring. Using JMX, we implemented a package that attempts to assist programming for AC features including socket management, logging, and recovery of distributed computation. In the experiments, we have not only realized the powerful Java capabilities that are unknown to many educators, we also illustrated the feasibility of learning AC in senior computer science courses.

La Empresa JMT Contact Center es una empresa que se dedica al rubro de Telemarketing, Centro de Contacto y Business Process Outsourcing, con presencia en los mercados de Europa y Latinoamérica. Es una empresa en constante crecimiento y en la actualidad a pesar de estar en medio de una Pandemia ha tenido el reto de enfrentar una demanda de crecimiento en los puestos de atención. En los últimos años, la empresa ha tenido que enfrentar ciertos retos financieros ligado a los costos planificados y a los costos operativos, de tal forma que su rentabilidad como negocio se ha visto impactada, sumando a ello nuevas regulaciones y el efecto de la pandemia a nivel global. El objetivo principal de la presente tesis es plantear un modelo de inteligencia de negocios para JMT Contact Center con la finalidad de reducir los costos operativos de la organización al mejorar la calidad de información utilizada en los procesos de planificación de operaciones, el discado dirigido y la categorización de perfiles de usuarios; para lo cual se analiza el contexto, se plantean los objetivos y se alinea la estrategia de inteligencia de negocios con los procesos existentes. The JMT Contact Center Company is a company dedicated to the Telemarketing, Contact Center and Business Process Outsourcing business, with a presence in the markets of Europe and Latin America. It is a company in constant growth and today, despite being in the middle of a Pandemic, it has had the challenge of facing a demand for growth in service positions. In recent years, the company has had to face certain financial challenges related to planned costs and operating costs, in such a way that its profitability as a business has been impacted, adding new regulations and the effect of the pandemic at the global. The main objective of this thesis is to propose a business intelligence model for JMT Contact Center in order to reduce the operational costs of the organization by improving the quality of information used in the operations planning processes, directed dialing and categorization of user profiles; for which the context is analyzed, objectives are set and the business intelligence strategy is aligned with existing processes. The proposal of this business intelligence model focuses especially on the effective use of Business Intelligence tools to achieve an optimization of resources and costs in the operation of the Outbound campaigns of the Call Center, in such a way that they become profitable and avoid losses to the organization.

The subject of this master´s thesis is a recalculation of the existing structure, design, static analysis and economic comparison of two variants of this bearing structure of the administrative building Jihomoravská plynárenská located in Brno. Ground plan dimensions and height of both these variants are based on existing disposition of the building. The diameter of the circular floor plan is 16,088 m and height of the structure is 29,46 m. With this new proposal of solution A and B, lower weight of structure in comparison to the existing state has been reached. Both variants have a bearing column in the middle of floor plan and new solution of ceiling structure. The most advantageous from the economic and assembly point of view is variant B. Design of this variant was processed in detail.

En nous intéressant a deux écrivains contemporains, nous posons d'emblée la question du sens du roman après la remise en question de ce dernier au cours du vingtième siècle. L'expérience du temps dans l'œuvre de le Clézio et de Handke questionne l'espace littéraire sur sa capacité de reconfigurer le temps humain. Nous dégageons une structure d'une quête stratifiée du temps qui tente de transformer la question aporétique sur le temps en une poétique du récit par un réinvestissement du personnage et de l'intrigue. L'enjeu des romans s'affirme comme la nécessite d'une recollection temporelle capable de réinvestir le présent au-delà d'une dialectique de l'instant et de l'éternité. Des divergences narratives et signifiantes apparaissent. L'œuvre de le Clézio ne semble donner de sens à l'existence humaine qu'au regard d'un temps cosmologique qui été a l'homme tout pouvoir de changer le temps présent et qui renvoie à une expérience individualiste de la réalité. Le récit est incapable de dire le temps autrement que sous la forme rigide du discours. L'œuvre de Handke, elle, se constitue comme fable sur le temps. Le livre est réinvesti d'un sens universel en se transformant en horizon d'attente d'une humanité pacifiée. Nous découvrons ainsi, dans la première œuvre, une esthétique de l'expérience du temps et, dans la seconde, une poétique du récit ou l'expérience initiatique de la temporalité déplace la quête vers une éthique a redéfinir
Focussing on the work of two contemporary authors, the meaning of the novel, since the reassessment it has undergone during the twentiech century, is examined. The experience of time in le Clezio's and Handke's novels addresses the capacity of literature to reshaye human time. The analyses reveals a stratified quest for time which attemps to transform the aporetic question about time into a poetics of narrative thourgh the use of character and plot. The pivotal concern of the novels is seen to be the need for a temporal recollection capable of exploring the present beyond the dialectics of the instant and eternity. Points of divergence appear in the narrative and in the signifiers. Le clezio's work seems to assign meaning to human existence only with regard to a cosmological time wich deprives man of any power to change the present and wich reflects an individualist experience of reality. The narrative is incapable of expressing time other than in the rigid shape of discourse. Hank's wwriting, on the other hand, takes the form of a fable about time. The novel is endowed with universal significance opening perspectives of humanity pacified. Thus in the first work we discover an aesthetics of the experience of time, and in the second, a poetics of narrative where the initiating experience of temporality displaces the quest towards an ethics

Although formal methods can dramatically increase the quality of software systems, they have not widely been adopted in software industry. Many software companies have the perception that formal methods are not cost-effective cause they are plenty of mathematical symbols that are difficult for non-experts to assimilate. The Java Modelling Language (short for JML) Section 3.3 is an academic initiative towards the development of a common formal specification language for Java programs, and the implementation of tools to check program correctness. This master thesis work shows how JML based formal methods can be used to formally develop a privacy sensitive Java application. This is a smart card application for managing medical appointments. The application is named HealthCard. We follow the software development strategy introduced by João Pestana, presented in Section 3.4. Our work influenced the development of this strategy by providing hands-on insight on challenges related to development of a privacy sensitive application in Java. Pestana’s strategy is based on a three-step evolution strategy of software specifications, from informal ones, through semiformal ones, to JML formal specifications. We further prove that this strategy can be automated by implementing a tool that generates JML formal specifications from a welldefined subset of informal software specifications. Hence, our work proves that JML-based formal methods techniques are cost-effective, and that they can be made popular in software industry. Although formal methods are not popular in many software development companies, we endeavour to integrate formal methods to general software practices. We hope our work can contribute to a better acceptance of mathematical based formalisms and tools used by software engineers. The structure of this document is as follows. In Section 2, we describe the preliminaries of this thesis work. We make an introduction to the application for managing medical applications we have implemented. We also describe the technologies used in the development of the application. This section further illustrates the Java Card Remote Method Invocation communication model used in the medical application for the client and server applications. Section 3 introduces software correctness, including the design by contract and the concept of contract in JML. Section 4 presents the design structure of the application. Section 5 shows the implementation of the HealthCard. Section 6 describes how the HealthCard is verified and validated using JML formal methods tools. Section 7 includes some metrics of the HealthCard implementation and specification. Section 8 presents a short example of how a client-side of a smart card application can be implemented while respecting formal specifications. Section 9 describes a prototype tools to generate JML formal specifications from informal specifications automatically. Section 10 describes some challenges and main ideas came acrorss during the development of the HealthCard. The Swedish building contractor JM Region Öst would like to to investigate the possibilities of developing and streamlining the production of singlefamily houses. JM are producing singlefamily houses with prefabricated frames at a rate of about two houses per week. During construction, the different tasks are performed by JM’s own production staff but also by various subcontractors. When examining the schedules of recently produced projects, it appears that all the houses are more or less completed eight weeks before the customer moves in to the house. During those eight weeks several operations are conducted such as inspections, installation of appliances and cleaning procedures. The inspection period constitutes between 25 and 35% of the complete construction period. By conducting interviews, it has been discovered that this final phase is an essential security buffer for delays and errors that often occur. Reducing the time needed for inspection requires that all activities are properly conducted with the right quality from start. After analyzing the results of the interviews and the comparison of project schedules, the following conclusions have been made: • The time required for inspections at the end of each project can be reduced if at the same time quality inspections and management of subcontractors are improved during the whole of the construction period. • The construction rate is difficult to increase as it is depending on the supply capacity from the house supplier. • The experience feedback at JM can be improved, mainly through feedback to the production staff at the beginning of new projects

An emerging literature stream posits that drawing on users rather than internal designers in new product creation may benefit firms because the resulting products effectively satisfy consumer needs. Four studies conducted in the context of the luxury fashion industry uncover an important conceptual boundary condition of this positive user-design effect. Contrary to extant research, the results show that being "close" to users does not help but rather harms luxury fashion brands. Specifically, the authors find that user design backfires because consumer demand for a given luxury fashion brand collection is reduced if the collection is labeled as user (vs. company) designed. The results further reveal the underlying rationale for this reversal: user-designed luxury products are perceived to be lower in quality and fail to signal high status, which results in a loss of agentic feelings for the consumer. The authors explore several strategies luxury brands can pursue to overcome this negative user-design effect. Finally, they find that negative outcomes of user design are attenuated for luxury fashion products that are not used for status signaling - that is, product categories of a luxury brand that are characterized by lower status relevance for the consumer. Vi har genom en kvalitativ studie undersökt relationen mellan JMM-utbildningen och journalistyrket, samt huruvida JMM-programmet är en professionsutbildning som förbereder studenten för journalistyrket. Detta har skett genom intervjuer med nio före detta JMM-studenter. Vår teoretiska utgångspunkt har varit professionsteorier samt utbildningens betydelse i professionaliseringen av journalistyrket. Resultatet visar att intervjupersonerna är nöjda med JMM-utbildningen, även om de känner att de inte blev helt förberedda på den journalistiska yrkesroll de mött ute i arbetslivet.

Våra slutsatser är att utbildningen till viss del förbereder för journalistyrket, men att den aldrig kommer att kunna motsvara journalistyrkets verklighet gällande de redaktionella villkoren. Det är också påtagligt att JMM-utbildningen förmedlar tydliga normer och värderingar som ger en god grund att stå på. Vidare har det framkommit att de före detta JMM-studenterna tror att själva journalistyrket i sig inte kräver utbildning, utan att det snarare är dagens konkurrens på arbetsmarknaden som gör att arbetsgivare kan kräva det. Uppfattningen är dock att det gått relativt bra för JMM-studenter ute i arbetslivet, och att det blev något lättare att ta sig ut på arbetsmarknaden än vad de flesta av intervjupersonerna hade väntat sig.

När det gäller JMM-utbildningen i förhållande till journalistyrket som profession är vår slutsats att det är svårt att utbilda studenter för den journalistiska professionen. Detta eftersom att journalistbranschen idag innefattar så många olika typer av journalistyrken att det blir alltmer otydligt vad journalistyrket som profession innebär. JMM-utbildningens multimediala bredd innebär dock att JMM rent förståelsemässigt förbereder inför framtidens journalistroll, så som journalistyrket är på väg att utvecklas som profession.

La possibilite de garder en memoire l'evenement, de faire memoire des evenements marquants est compromise dans l'univers leclezien, tel qu'il se presente depuis desert : l'amnesie annihile toute possibilite de constituer le passe en experience, qu'elle soit individuelle ou collective : la transmission n'a pas meme les moyens de contrer les ravages de l'amnesie : les efforts -oraux ou ecrits- des personnages sont vains et l'oeuvre leclezienne va jusqu'a mettre en perspective l'amnesie eventuelle du lecteur. Le pessimisme de l'auteur trouve sa source dans sa propre vision de l'histoire telle qu'elle est exprimee dans les "essais mexicains" : l'acteur historique -le conquerant cortes- detruit les traces du passe amerindien et l'historien ne peut plus que constater leur effacement. L'approcheleclezienne de l'histoire est ainsi differente d'une approche proprement historienne. Mais ce sont ces failles, ces impossibilites, qui constituent la raison profonde de l'oeuvre romanesque. Le roman assure en effet l'assomption de la memoire. On peut d'abord croire que le retour de la memoire dans un univers qui le condamnait est un fantasme du personnage : l'enfant orphelin n'invente-t-il pas les souvenirs qui lui font defaut ? sa psychologie se devoile a ce jeu. . . . Neanmoins, les souvenirs "visitent" bel et bien le personnage et le recit le clezien entretient le mythe d'une memoire qui transcende les conditions qui rendaient ses manifestations en principe impossibles. Cette resurgence ne se produit pas seulement a l'intime du personnage : la memoire poursuit son "actualisation" dans lemonde des hommes. Abstract:
This thesis investigates how data sources, message queues, and messages can be generalized in such way that it allows for easy configuration and setup in a frontend visualization application. It also includes increasing the productivity of the application testers and the usability of the user interface. An analysis of one of Dewire’s test tools gave insightful information to identify what was needed in the proof-of-concept application and resulted in a list of requirements. The information gained from Dewire also indicated what technologies to use and resulted in a research phase. Different design proposals were presented and one was chosen to be implemented. An agile approach was chosen as method for the implementation phase to emphasize flexibility. It was set to be iterative and in close communication with people at Dewire. The implementation resulted in a proof-of-concept application with a GUI that allows user to configure data sources, message queues and messages. The messages are uploaded in XML format and the GUI allows for modification through HTML forms which mir-rors the XML files. The user is also able to send these messages as JMS mes-sages. Responses to these JMS messages are also shown in the GUI and saved in a database. The results suggest that accomplishing the common task to select a connection tree and send a message takes 45% less time in the proof-of-concept application compared to Dewire’s tool. To accomplish the common task to alter a message and send it takes 79% less time in the proof-of-concept appli-cation compared to Dewire’s tool. The results also suggest that theory of com-puter-human interaction have been applied during the implementation to ac-complisha usable UI. It is assessed that data sources, message queues and mes-sage can be easy configured in a GUI. Further, it is assessed that the productivi-ty has been increased compared to the former tool used.

The construction business is one of the most accident prone businesses in Sweden. In order to make it safer it’s vital that all employees of a company report all accidents and incidents that occur. This report intends through qualitative interviews, to analyze the knowledge and attitude towards incident reporting among the employees of the Swedish construction contractor JM. The goal of the thesis work is to hopefully contribute to an increase of employees’ awareness on those issues. This report also intends to analyze why not all of the occurring incidents are reported and which measures can be taken in order to increase the number of reported incidents. The study shows that the knowledge towards incidents and accidents is diverse among all employees. Many employees are having difficulties defining what incidents are to be reported and many craftsmen don’t know how and why they should report an incident. The major differences are on the one hand between craftsmen and white-collar workers, and on the other hand between senior employees and new recruits. In order to increase the number of reported incidents, JM can introduce incident report pads to be carried by their employees at all time. They can also continue educating their employees in why it’s important to report all incidents and how to complete a report.

Culturing stem cells is usually done on tissue-culture treated plastic. Over time the cells change their gene expression and start to differentiate. Porcine umbilical cord (PUC) stem cells express the embryonic transcription factors Oct4, Nanog and Sox2 and changes in their expression may be useful for to evaluating culture-induced changes in the cells. We developed an extract of porcine Wharton’s jelly matrix (JMX) that may provide some characteristics of the stem cell niche located in the umbilical cord. Our extract used whole cords and enzyme digestion to simplify preparation of the product. We compare cells cultured on plastic to those grown on thin and thick gels of JMX in four experiments. In Exp 1a and b, growing PUCs on a thick JMX coating for 3(1a) or 4(1b) d increased the number of cells at the end of culture (P < 0.05) with minimal effects on gene expression. In Exp 2 we compared PUCs grown on thin and thick layered JMX with added collagen (+C) and to control cells. The JMX layers caused the cells to adopt a small, round shape and to form clumps or colonies during culture. No differences (P > 0.10) were seen between thin10 +C and control wells for viable and total cell counts but thick layered +C resulted in decreased numbers of viable cells compared to thin + C (P < 0.10) and control wells (P < 0.05). In a follow up experiment (Exp. 3) growing the PUCs mixed within, rather than plating on top of, a thick layer of JMX + C caused marked morphological changes with dense 3-dimensional structures formed. Exp 4 compared JMX allowed to gel for 10 (Thin10 +C) or 60 (Thin60 +C) min before the non-gelled fraction was removed. There were no effects on cell numbers at the end of culture (P > 0.10) but Sox2 expression was increased in Thin60 +C compared to controls on plastic (P < 0.05) and Thin10 +C (P < 0.10). In summary, JMX extracts change cell morphology and in some formats increased cell proliferation and may increase Sox2 expression. Further investigation is needed to fully understand the effects of JMX on PUCs.

Stalno praćenje rada softvera je neophodno da bi se utvrdilo da li softver poštuje zadate nivoe kvaliteta. Na osnovu sakupljenih podataka, moguće je da se predvidi i dalje ponašanje aplikacije i da se izvrši izbor daljih akcija da bi se održao zahtevani nivo. Tema ove disertacije je razvoj sistema za kontinualno praćenje performansi softvera, kao i razvoj modela za predviđanje performansi softvera. Za implementaciju sistema potrebljena je JEE tehnologija, ali je sistem razvijen tako da može da se primeni i za praćenje softvera razvijenog za druge platforme. Sistem je modelovan tako minimalno utiče na performanse sistema softvera koji se prati. Linearna regresija je upotrebljena za modelovanje zavisnosti performansi od okruženja u kom se softver izvršava. Sistem je upotrebljen za praćenje izabrane JEE aplikacije.
Continuous monitoring of software is necessary to determine whether the software performs within required service perfomance levels. Based on collected data, it is possible to predict the future performance of applications and to plan further actions in order to maintain the required service levels. The theme of this dissertation is the development of systems for continuous performance monitoring software, as well as the development of models for predicting the performance of software. To implement the system was used JEE technologies, but the system was developed so that it can be used for tracking software developed for other platforms. The system is modeled as a minimum impact on system performance software that is monitored. Linear regression was used for modeling the dependence of the performance environment in which the software is running. The system was used to monitor selected JEE applications.

Le récepteur 1 de la cholécystokinine (RCCK1) est un récepteur couplé aux protéines G (RCPG) impliqué dans la régulation de fonctions physiologiques importantes. Comprendre les mécanismes qui conduisent à l’activation pleine ou partielle de ce récepteur constitue un enjeu majeur. Nous avons établi un modèle moléculaire réaliste du RCCK1 humain. L’utilisation de ce modèle, en combinaison avec diverses approches expérimentales, nous a ensuite permis d’identifier les mécanismes moléculaires impliqués dans l’activation partielle du RCCK1 par le JMV 180, comparativement à ceux mis en jeu par l’agonisme plein de la CCK. Nos résultats établissent que les hélices 3 et 6 du récepteur sont fonctionnellement reliées par l’intermédiaire du site de liaison agoniste. Un positionnement différent de l’extrémité C-terminale des agonistes peptidiques, par rapport à un résidu de l’hélice 6, est responsable du niveau d’activation de la phospholipase C via un couplage aux protéines de type Gq.

La presente investigación tiene como objetivo identificar las vulneraciones a los derechos fundamentales de la Comunidad Nativa Tres Islas a través de los actos administrativos que fueron expedidos por el Gobierno Regional de Madre de Dios y a Autoridad Nacional del Agua, afectando el territorio, dañando la autonomía comunal, medio ambiente sano de sus integrantes, entre otros. Se enunciará cuáles fueron los fundamentos de la primera y segunda instancia de la Corte Superior de Justicia de Madre de Dios para resolver la demanda de amparo interpuesta, en virtud de la interpretación de unidad de la Constitución y el principio in dubio pro homine. Del mismo modo, se buscará comprobar la viabilidad de un proceso de amparo como la vía pertinente constitucional interpuesta para la protección de los derechos debido a un latente peligro de irreparabilidad. Ello, ante un análisis dificultoso debido a la omisión normativa del derecho a la consulta previa existente por responsabilidad estatal excluyente, al no elaborar una regulación interna oportuna para la implementación de procedimientos adecuados, viéndose perjudicados, a su vez, los derechos de los miembros de esta. Finalmente, como conclusión principal obtenida se visualiza las consecuencias de las competencias conferidas en materia de minería al Gobierno Regional de Madre de Dios al no haber sido adecuados, así como se identifica y sostiene la preponderancia del autogobierno comunal frente a los derechos de los mineros en virtud de la libertad de empresa del caso en concreto.
The objective of this research is to identify the violations of the fundamental rights of the Comunidad Nativa Tres Islas through the administrative acts that were issued by the Gobierno Regional de Madre de Dios and the Autoridad Nacional del Agua affecting its territory, damaging its community autonomy, healthy environment of its members, among others. It will state what were the grounds of the first and second instance of the Corte Superior de Justicia de Madre de Dios to resolve the petition for amparo filed, by virtue of the interpretation of the unity of the Constitution and the principle in dubio pro homine. Likewise, it will seek to verify the viability of an amparo process as the ideal constitutional path interposed for the protection of rights due to the danger of irreparability. This ocurred, facing a difficult analysis due to the existing normative omission of the right of prior consultation due to an exclusive responsibility of the State, by failing to draw up a timely internal regulation for the implementation of adequate procedures, which led to harm the rights of the native community members. Finally, as the main conclusion obtained, the consequences of the competences conferred on mining matters to the Gobierno Regional de Madre de Dios are visualized as they were not adequate, as well as the preponderance of communal self-government over the rights of miners in virtue of the freedom of enterprise of the specific case.

Les technologies intergicielles se révèlent de plus en plus comme des ingrédients indispensables dans les systèmes mobiles. Dans le cadre de cette thèse, nous avons mené une réflexion sur les différents types d'intergiciels et leurs aptitudes à relever le défi de la mobilité. Nous avons opté pour les intergiciels orientés messages (MOMs), car ils se caractérisent, par un style de communication permettant un fort découplage entre les entités réparties. Le premier volet de nos travaux concerne la conception et la réalisation de MobileJMS, un intergiciel basé sur la spécification JMS. Par rapport aux MOMs existants, MobileJMS se distingue par l'adaptabilité et la sensibilité au contexte qui caractérisent la communication. MobileJMS intègre dans son module de communication des services qui peuvent être utilisés et configurés dynamiquement afin de réagir à des évènements comme la variation de la bande passante ou les déconnexions fréquentes. Le deuxième volet concerne la définition et la mise oeuvre d'un gestionnaire d'adaptation globale. Ce gestionnaire repose sur un modèle qui prend des décisions d'adaptation à partir des préférences des utilisateurs, des besoins des applications et des paramètres du contexte d'exécution. Nous exprimons les préférences des utilisateurs par des critères de performance comme la vitesse de transmission ou l'économie d'énergie. Les besoins des applications sont représentés sous forme de politiques d'adaptation. La fonction principale du modèle est le choix de la politique la plus adaptée au contexte actuel et à l'usage que l'utilisateur souhaite faire de l'application.
