Abstract:
Recently, due to the increase in popularity of the Internet, the problem of digital data security over the Internet is increasing at a phenomenal rate. Watermarking is used for various notable applications to secure digital data from unauthorized individuals. To achieve this, in this article, we propose a joint encryption then-compression based watermarking technique for digital document security. This technique offers a tool for confidentiality, copyright protection, and strong compression performance of the system. The proposed method involves three major steps as follows: (1) embedding of m

Compression of logo as an image is addressed in logo watermarking, in which a framework of joint Human Vision System (HVS) model and rate allocation theory in the wavelet domain is applied. Under this framework, a novel logo watermarking algorithm using reversible discrete wavelet transform is proposed. Based on multi-level wavelet decomposition of both host and logo images, a well-known HVS model is applied to locate the visually insensitive area in the host for embedding, while the rate allocation theory determines how the logo is compressed and embedded by using the statistical characterist

This thesis is concerned with an investigation into novel image compression and watermarking techniques in the wavelet transform domain. Compression refers to the reduction in the representative bit-budget of data with an acceptable distortion. Such an application is widely encountered in our daily life as a requirement due to the rapid growth of digital multimedia technology that overwhelms the ca- .pacity of the available communication channels. Watermarking is the process of embedding a hidden pattern, called watermark, that represents the ownership of an authorized user into a host data. W

Firstly, we propose two blind watermarking techniques for 3-D static meshes. They use statistical features of vertex norms to embed watermark; the first proposed method shifts the mean value of the distribution and the second method changes its variance. Histogram mapping functions are introduced to modify the distribution. Our methods employ a blind watermark detection scheme, which can extract the watermark without referring to the original mesh. Next, we present two compression methods for 3-D mesh sequences with constant connectivity. The proposed methods mainly use an exact integer spatia

For digital media, the risk of piracy is aggravated by the ease to copy and distribute the content. Watermarking has become the technology of choice for discouraging people from creating illegal copies of digital content. Watermarking is the practice of imperceptibly altering the media content by embedding a message, which can be used to identify the owner of that content. A watermark message can also be a set of instructions for the display equipment, providing information about the content’s usage restrictions. Several applications are considered and three watermarking solutions are provided
