Las investigaciones llevadas a cobo en el país, hasta hace comos años, eran realizadas por profesionales de otras áreas (Arqueología, Arquitectura, Derecho, Historia, Sociología, etc.") o por aficionados. Los resultados eran disparejos y poco útiles para ser empleados en una investigación científica. Sin embargo nombres como el del arquitecto Emilio Harth-Terré,el jesuíta Rubén Vargas Ugarie, Guillermo Lohmann, el dominico Domingo Angulo, José García Bryce, Emilio Mendizábal Lo-sack, Jorge Muelle, Jorge Cornejo Bouroncle, Jorge Bernaies Ballesteros, Pablo Macera, han contribuido con aportes significativossobre la materia. Sus trabajos están sustentados en documentosextraídos de archivos nacionales y extranjeros. Los estudios sobre Arte Peruano requieren del esfuerzo de los especialistas puesexiste un bagaje muy amplio que tomará mucho tiempo determinar en todas sus implicancias.

Este artículo parte de la inquietud que suscita la relación agónica entre filosofía y poesía, en la que la voz de las mujeres integra problemáticas diversas y centrales para los ámbitos del saber mencionados. Por ello, tomar como horizonte de estudio la obra Las bocas del amor, de la poeta colombiana Anabel Torres, posibilita la ocasión para pensar sobre: ¿Qué imágenes sobre la piel configuran la raíz poética de los versos contenidos en Las bocas del amor, de Anabel Torres? Para este fin, se recurre a los elementos provistos por la interpretación hermenéutica que, en un sentido amplio, proporciona las vías para abordar la experiencia de la lectura; emprender la comprensión de lo que puede entenderse por poema; aproximarse a la vida y obra de Anabel Torres al dar cuenta de las imágenes sobre el cuerpo y la piel. Todo esto condujo a una perspectiva en la que la piel esté en el núcleo de la creación poético-filosófica. En este sentido, el diálogo entre poetas y pensadores entre los que cabe mencionar a Chantal Maillard, Hélène Cixous, Jorge Luis Borges, Emilio Lledó, Jorge Larrosa y George Steiner allanan el camino para reconocer la fuerza tanto de la palabra femenina como la valía de las manifestaciones diversas de pensar y de crear. "Región y regionalismo" fue un tema discutido con intensidad en el Perú durante la década de 1920. José Carlos Mariátegui dedicó un ensayo al tema para buscar delimitar el arraigo y el impacto de los fenómenos regionales. Los antecedentes históricos y los esfuerzos descentralistas fueron reseñados por Jorge Basadre en Perú: problema y posibilidad. Emilio Romero esbozó una propuesta de organización regional del espacio peruano. Víctor And´rés Belaúnde, a la par que criticó los planteamientos de Mariátegui, ofreció también otra propuesta para la descentralización. Desde perspectivas diferentes y antagónicas, estos cruatro autores coincidían en reconocer la existencia de un problema regional en el país y en criticar la organización por departamentos y provincias vigente.

Este trabalho estuda a literatura romani (cigana) contemporânea. Analisa a história e o significado da emergência no seio de uma minoria de cultura oral e, tradicionalmente, resistente à escrita. No processo de redefinição e afirmação identitária étnica, esta produção literária tem papel fundamental como alicerce unificador dos grupos romà (ciganos) dispersos. Os textos estudados falam pela etnia, ao recuperarem a história grupal e a realidade do coletivo, oferecendo às sociedades circundantes uma visão de mundo, a partir da perspectiva “de dentro”. Historicamente, os romà foram atrelados à marginalidade pelas sociedades majoritárias, o que resultou em deterioramento identitário e exclusão progressiva. Os textos romà contribuem na subversão dos discursos preconceituosos, desmistificam os estereótipos, estreitam os laços entre os grupos e, assim, reinventam a nação romani e fundam um simbólico “território” escrito. A história da etnia, inserida nas sociedades majoritárias, como objetos estereotipados nas representações literárias do “outro”, são temas abordados nesta pesquisa. A reconstrução identitária, evidenciada no corpus escolhido, efetiva-se por meio do hibridismo cultural dos “novos romà” representados, das subversões dos estereótipos e introjeções. A pesquisa aponta para a ressignificação da identidade étnica, no registro da memória e na autorrepresentação das vozes romà expressas pelo seu próprio olhar. Tem como obra norteadora das análises: El alma de los parias (2014), do escritor rom argentino Jorge Nedich, complementada por romances de autores romá representativos de distintos grupos e países. ______________________________________________________________________________________________ RESUMEN
Este trabajo estudia la literatura romani (gitana) contemporánea. Analiza la historia y el significado de su surgimiento en el seno de una minoría de cultura oral y tradicionalmente reacia a la escritura. En el proceso de redefinición y afirmación de la identidad étnica, esta producción literaria tiene un papel significativo como fundamento unificador de los grupos romà (gitanos) dispersos. Los textos estudiados representan la etnia, al recuperar la historia grupal y la realidad de este colectivo, ofreciendo a las sociedades circundantes una visión de mundo bajo una perspectiva “desde dentro”. Históricamente, las sociedades mayoritarias consideraron a los romà como marginales lo que resultó en un deterioro como grupo étnico y en una progresiva exclusión. Sus textos contribuyen a la subversión de los discursos prejuiciosos, desmitifican los estereotipos y estrechan los lazos entre los diversos grupos. A su vez reinventan la nación romani y fundan un simbólico “territorio” escrito. La historia de la etnia, inserida en las sociedades mayoritarias y como objetos estereotipados en las representaciones literarias del “otro”, son temas abordados en esta investigación. La reconstrucción de la identidad, demostrada en el corpus escogido, se efectiva a través de la representación del hibridismo cultural de los “nuevos romà, de las subversiones de los estereotipos y de las introyecciones. La investigación apunta a la resignificación de la identidad étnica, el registro de la memoria y la autorepresentación de las voces romà expresadas desde su propia mirada. Their texts contribute to the subversion of the prejudiced speech, demystify the stereotypes and strengthen ties amongst the groups, reinventing the Romani nation and founding a symbolic written “territory”. The history of the ethnic group, inserted in the controlling societies and as stereotyped objects in the literary representations of the “other”, are themes approached in this investigation. Este estudo aborda o advento de uma literatura escrita no contexto de uma cultura tradicionalmente oral e a ascensão dos romà (ciganos) como sujeitos de suas narrativas. A etnia foi abundantemente representada na literatura do outro não-romà de forma estereotipada. Difundiram-se imagens negativas, pautadas por estigmas, que contribuíram para a solidificação de um imaginário coletivo que subalternizou os romà, servindo de justificativa para as perseguições, a discriminação e o preconceito em relação aos grupos. A violência com que esses estereótipos afetaram a identidade étnica, junto à intolerância ao diferente romà por parte das sociedades majoritárias, gerou a segregação da etnia, a hostilidade mútua e conflituosos contatos interétnicos. Levando em conta a influência dessas representações, faz-se uma análise das principais obras que utilizaram os “ciganos” como objeto. À continuação se estuda os romances Gitanos para su bien y para su mal e El aliento negro de los romanies, do escritor argentino Jorge Nedich. O autor enfatiza as fronteiras culturais distintivas entre o “eu” (romà) e o “outro” (gadyé) que, além de serem lugares que limitam, são importantes espaços de negociação cultural e de reconstrução identitária. _________________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT
This study addresses the advent of literature written in the context of a traditional oral culture and the rise of romà (gypsies) as subjects of their narratives. The Roma were widely represented in non-romà literature, in a stereotypical form. This literature circulated negative images, guided by stigma, which contributed to the solidification of a collective imagination, which had the gypsy’s (Romà) as an inferior people, serving as justification for the persecution, discrimination and prejudice towards the Roma The violence with which these stereotypes affected the ethnic identity, and together with the intolerance to the different romà groups by part of the societal majority, generated ethnic segregation, and mutual hostility and conflicts between the different interethnic groups. Taking into account the influence of these representations, one can make an analysis of the principal works, which utilize the Gypsies as a focus, such as studies from the novels Gitanos para su bien y para su mal and El Aliento Negro de Los Romanies, by Argentinean writer Jorge Nedich. The author emphasizes the distinctive culture barriers between the ``I´´ (ROMÁ) and ``the Other´´ (GADYÉ), which besides being areas that are limited, are important places for cultural negotiation and culture identity reconstruction. ______________________________________________________________________________________ RESUMEN
Este trabajo versa sobre la literatura escrita por los romà (gitanos) en un contexto de cultura tradicionalmente oral, y el ascenso como sujetos de sus propias narrativas. En diversas épocas, la etnia romà fue representada por escritores no-romà de manera estereotipada surgiendo imágenes negativas, repletas de estigmas, que contribuyeron para cristalizar un imaginario colectivo subalterno. Esa realidad justificó las persecuciones, la discriminación y los prejuicios en relación a los diversos grupos romà. La violencia extrema con que los estereotipos afectaron la identidad étnica, junto a la intolerancia hacia el otro romà, de parte de las sociedades mayoritarias, generó la segregación de la etnia, la hostilidad mutua y contactos étnicos conflictivos. Teniendo en cuenta dichas representaciones, se examinan las principales obras en que aparecen los gitanos como objeto. Sigue un análisis de las novelas Gitanos para su bien y para su mal y El aliento negro de los romaníes del escritor argentino Jorge Nedich. El autor da énfasis a las fronteras culturales diferentes que se alzan entre el yo (romà) y el otro (gadyé) que, al mismo tiempo de servir de límite, son importantes espacios de negociación cultural e de reconstrucción de la identidad.

This thesis identifies continuities and disruptions within the tradition of literary allegory in Latin America and critically revisits the category of “national allegory” (Jameson 1986) in order to articulate an interpretative model suited to contemporary “transnational allegorical fiction”. Based on the analysis of seven Mexican novels that register the transition of neoliberalism from the political-economic order to a form of biopolitical control (Althusser, Foucault, Žižek), I identify the emergence of what I call a “transnational affective field”: a symbolic horizon, alternative to the nation, where the prospective function of foundational romances (Sommer) and the retrospective function of mourning akin to postdictatorial fiction (Avelar), converge. This ideological device negotiates power relations, facilitates the transfer of local/global meaning, promotes intercultural empathy and compromise, and denounces mechanisms of exclusion; thereby, reconfiguring the affective and political functions of allegory in Latin American fiction. Part One discusses critical approaches to allegorical fiction in both Latin American and World literatures. Part Two compares the representation of the binomial nation/world in three historiographic metafictions by Carmen Boullosa, Francisco Rebolledo and J.E. Pacheco through recent approaches in post-/de-colonial and memory studies. Part Three examines the depiction of the nation as simulacrum and the figuration of postmodern subjectivities in Jorge Volpi and Juan Villoro from a poststructuralist perspective. It also contends that Álvaro Enrigue’s and Valeria Luiselli’s novels are representative of an emergent meta-allegorical imagination that, in an ironic reversal of allegory (de Man), simultaneously constructs it as a mechanism of ideological control as well as a conscious strategy to resist commodification and symbolic violence (Bourdieu) in the contemporary world. The analysis demonstrates the vitality of Mexican transnational allegorical fiction as a socio-political and affective counter-hegemonic discourse that also functions as an effective strategy of recognition in the international literary field.

Les saints matamores sont des saints militaires typiquement hispaniques qui, selon les légendes rapportées dans de nombreuses chroniques et hagiographies, seraient miraculeusement intervenus lors de certaines batailles de la Reconquête pour donner la victoire aux Chrétiens en déroute face aux envahisseurs musulmans. Notre travail de thèse consiste à étudier conjointement ces saints, au nombre de quatre (saint Jacques, apôtre et patron de l'Espagne, saint Emilien de la Cogolla, saint Isidore de Séville et saint Georges) notamment du point de vue de leurs représentations, tant textuelles qu'iconographiques. Il s'agit d'une part d'écrire une histoire de la sainteté militaire espagnole depuis ses origines, pour en dégager les caractéristiques essentielles. D'autre part, le but est de montrer, par le prisme des représentations, que ces saints sont des saints sui generis, ancrés dans un territoire spécifique mais aussi dans une Histoire, et que les espaces et les éléments de contexte historique ont largement influencé le traitement que les auteurs et les artistes leur ont réservé.

This thesis considers a range of contemporary poets' responses to science, emphasising the diversity of these engagements and exploring how poetry can disrupt or re-negotiate the barriers between the two activities. My first chapter explores the idea of ‘authority' in both science and poetry and considers how these authorities co-exist in the work of two poet-scientists, Miroslav Holub and David Morley. My second chapter considers the role of metaphor in science and the effect of transferring scientific terms into poetry, specifically with reference to the poetry of Michael Symmons Roberts who engages with the metaphors related to the human genome. In my third chapter I focus on collections by Ruth Padel and Emily Ballou that tell the life of Charles Darwin in verse. I discuss how these collections function as forms of scientific biography and show that poetic engagement with Darwin's thought processes reveals some of the similarities between scientific and poetic thinking. An area of science such as quantum mechanics may seem too complex for a non-scientist to respond to in poetry, but in my fourth chapter I show how Jorie Graham uses ideas from twentieth-century physics to re-think the materialism of the world and our perception of it. My final chapter is concerned with the relationship between ecopoetry and ecological science, with regard to the work of John Burnside. I show that although he is informed about scientific matters, in his poetry he suggests that science isn't the only way of understanding the world. Rather than framing science and poetry in terms of the ‘two cultures', this thesis moves away from antagonism towards productive interaction and dialogue. Whilst science and poetry are clearly very different activities, the many points of overlap and connection between them suggest that poetry is a resonant and unique way of exploring scientific ideas.

This chapter proposes that YouTube should be understood as a digital archive with its own developing aesthetic forms where fans act as attentive and specialist curators of a star text. Through an analysis of three Mexican stars from the so-called Golden Age of industrial cinema, Pedro Infante, Jorge Negrete and Emilio Fernández, this chapter focuses on their YouTube star texts, and draws out what these mean for the nascent field of online re-meditated star studies. It also considers the ways in which the star’s gender determines how fans produce an online star text and how YouTube can be understood to function as a precarious archive.
