I deal with it which for many years - women, decoration and "something" what is hidden behind the picture - soal and atmosphere. The name of my thesis is - Journey, reason for picture. Theme of my work is Indonesian tradition - folk versus contemporar. My work takes place on two levels - Wedding and Beauty competition. Resumo: Este trabalho constitui uma primeira análise fonológica da língua Jurúna (família Jurúna, Tronco Tupi). Pretende contribuir para o conhecimento da língua e para estudos comparativos posteriores (históricos e tipológicos), razões pelas quais é apresentada quantidade grande de exemplos. A introdução contém considerações referentes ao trabalho de campo (metodologia), dados, informantes e modelo teórico adotado na nálise fonológica (fonética). O capítulo 1. traz informações sobre o povo jurúna, sua língua, bem como a situação linguística na comunidade. No capítulo 2. são apresentados o inventário e a distribuição dos sons consonantais e vocálicos da língua. O capítulo 3. subdivide-se em: I Fonologia Segmental e II Fonologia Suprasegmental (tom e acento). Na primeira parte são apresentados os fonemas consonantais e vocálicos, incluindo ainda uma discussão sobre a propagação da nasalidade e a distribuição dos fonemas na sílaba e na palavra

Diseñador GráficoEl presente documento, llamado “Jurel tipo carbón”, es un proyecto de carácter experimental y audiovisual que busca masificar la información del problema medioambiental de Chile. Este proyecto en particular se centra en una zona específica, las comunas de Quintero y Puchuncaví, pertenecientes a la quinta región de Valparaíso. “El problema se plantea en base a la premisa de que la información existente respecto a la situación medioambiental no es de fácil acceso, por lo que se propone un proyecto que a través de recursos audiovisuales entregue mayor accesibilidad y rapidez en comunicar la información. El valor del trabajo audiovisual en este caso, es el hecho de que mediante códigos visuales se apela a la emotividad de las personas, para que estas además de informarse se involucren en el tema.” Para resolver la necesidad planteada se desarrolla un proyecto en aproximadamente diez meses, en los que primero se estudian los antecedentes para conocer la situación, luego se estudia el marco teórico en base al cual se puede proponer una solución y finalmente se diseña y ejecuta el proyecto, el que intenta responder al principal objetivo de diseñar un prototipo comunicacional para complementar la información del problema medioambiental de la zona, de forma mas visible y accesible. Finalmente, para dar a conocer el resultado adudiovisual, el proyecto se basa en el marketing viral como estrategia global de difusión, lo que permite llegar a una audiencia de gran tamaño para lograr la masificación de la información.

Esta dissertação apresenta o estudo de organização de um vocabulário do léxico focado no campo semântico da culinária juruna. A língua juruna é uma língua indígena brasileira, da Família Juruna do Tronco Tupi, falada por 458 pessoas (segundo censo recente), no Parque Indígena Xingu (MT). A organização lexicográfica prática desse vocabulário tem por objetivo colaborar com a produção do dicionário enciclopédico ilustrado bilíngue juruna-português (projeto de pesquisa maior, coordenado pela orientadora desta pesquisa). O levantamento de dados foi realizado em campo pelos métodos de observação participante e de entrevistas semiestruturadas, entre os anos 2011 e 2013, na aldeia Maitxiri-Tubatuba, a qual tem maior densidade demográfica. This dissertation presents the study of organization of a vocabulary of the lexicon focused in the semantic field of the Juruna cookery. The Juruna language is a Brazilian indigenous language, of the Juruna Family, related to the Tupi Stock, spoken by 458 people (according to recent census) in the Xingu Indigenous Park (MT). The lexicographical organization of this vocabulary aims to collaborate in the making of the bilingual Juruna-Portuguese illustrated encyclopaedic dictionary (larger research project, coordinated by the advisor of this research). The raw data were collected by the methods of participant observation and semi-structured interviews, during the years 2011 to 2013 in Maitxiri-Tubatuba village, which has larger demographic density. Resumo: Esta tese apresenta um estudo fonológico e morfossintático da língua juruna (família juruna, tronco tupi), falada pelo povo juruna (aproximadamente 241 pessoas) que vive no Parque Indígena Xingu, Mato Grosso. No Capítulo I, um estudo fonológico, são apresentados os fonemas segmentais da língua, com exemplificação de contrastes, distribuição complementar e variação "livre" ; também são apresentadas análise do acento via teoria métrica (Hayes, 1995), análise da nasalidade, via geometria de traços. No Capítulo lI, Classes de palavras, são apresentados os critérios para definir as classes de palavras da língua, distinguindo-as em abertas ( nome, verbo, advérbio) e fechadas (posposição, pronome, clítico e partícula). No Capítulo ID, Subconstituintes da sentença, são apresentados os fenômenos relacionados aos subconstituintes da sentença' modificadores de nomes, ordem dentro do SN, categorias de modo e aspecto, reduplicação (processos distintos de infixação e sufixação), causativos, reflexivo, recíproco e negação. No Capítulo IV, Tipos de sentenças, são apresentados os tipos de sentença na língua: Simples -declarativa, interrogativa e imperativa; e Complexas - coordenadas e subordinadas. No Capítulo V ,Conclusão, são apresentadas considerações sobre os resultados deste trabalho. Finalmente, no Apêndice são apresentados três textos em juruna, com as devidas glosas, com o objetivo de proporcionar ao leitor a oportunidade de conhecer a língua em uso nas situações de diálogo, narração sobre uma festa e narração de mito. Também no Apêndice há um vocabulário básico da língua, organizado com o mesmo objetivo de servir a uma comparação posterior com outras línguas e um conjunto de fotos de membros da comunidade juruna
Abstract: This thesis presents a phonological and morphosyntatic study of Juruna language Guruna family, tupi stock) spoken by juruna people (approximately 200 persons) who live in Parque Indígena Xingu (Xingu Indigenous Park), Mato Grosso state, Brazil. In the Chapter I, a phonological study, the segmental phonemes are presented, with contrasts exemplification, complementary distribution and "free" variation ; an anlysis of stress by Metrical Theory (Hayes, 1995), and an analysis of nasality by geometry of features are presented. In the Chapter n, Words Classes, is presented the criteria to define the language words classes, distinguishing them in open (noun, verb, adverb) and closed ( posposition, pronoun, clitic and particles). In the Chapter Ill, Sentence Subconstituents, phenomena related to the sentence subconstituents are presented : noun modifiers, order inside the NP, categories of mood and aspect, reduplication (distinct processes of infixation and sufixation) , causatives, reflexive, reciprocal and negation. In the Chapter IV, Sentences Types, the language sentences types are presented : Simple -declarative, interrogative and imperative- and Complex - coordinated and subordinated. In the Chapter V are presented considerations about the results ofthis work. Finaly, in the Appendix, three texts in juruna are presented with the proper glosses, so as to provide the reader the opportunity of knowing a language in use in situations of dialogue, narrative about a party and a myth narrative. Also in the Appendix, there is a basic language vocabulary, organized so as to also serve to a posterior comparison to other languages, and there are photos of juruna people

Il titolo della tesi, ossia "Literaturizarea detenției comuniste: „Jurnalul Fericirii” și „Fenomenul Pitești”", si collega con l'argomento scelto, in quanto il tema principale di questo lavoro ruota attorno al periodo storico del comunismo romeno e mette a confronto due tipologie di romanzi. "Il diario della felicità" descrive l'inferno delle carceri in modo stilizzato e sublimato attraverso la fede e la cultura, mentre "Fenomenul Pitești" è al polo opposto, poiché è scritto in maniera obiettiva, includendo testimonianze con una dose altissima di realismo e autenticità.
La struttura della tesi presenta inizialmente l'abstract, seguito dall'indice, successivamente vi sono i capitoli principali, divisi a loro volta in paragrafi, i quali analizzano, fra le altre cose, l'ascesa del Partito Comunista Romeno all'interno del quadro politico a partire dalla fine della Seconda Guerra Mondiale, esaminano la riforma attuata dal regime comunista a livello scolastico, illustrano il controllo della stampa e dei vari mezzi di comunicazione, analizzano il tema degli arresti, della detenzione e delle deportazioni, esaminano il ruolo di alcuni scrittori ed il loro intento nel voler continuare a comunicare la verità ed, infine, illustrano le differenze sostanziali delle due opere, per quanto riguarda lo stile e la modalità di rapportarsi al periodo della detenzione. A seguire ci saranno le conclusioni del lavoro in questione, per poi terminare con la bibliografia e la sitografia.
Questa tesi è stata condotta utilizzando varie fonti, in particolar modo libri scritti in lingua romena. L'approccio ed il metodo messi in atto sono stati quelli di estrapolare le informazioni che più potevano essere inerenti con l’argomento dello studio e, successivamente, rielaborare i contenuti nella maniera più opportuna. Per le informazioni di tipo storico è stato utilizzato principalmente il libro scritto da Dennis Deletant ed intitolato “România sub regimul comunist”, dal quale sono stati estrapolati anche contenuti utili al capitolo inerente all'oppressione degli intellettuali, in cui viene discusso il controllo imposto a questi ultimi da parte del regime, i metodi repressivi messi in pratica e la censura applicata sui mezzi di comunicazione di massa, in particolar modo la radio ed i giornali. Un'altra sezione della tesi, la quale serve come introduzione e contestualizzazione per il capitolo sulla rieducazione attuata a Pitești, si focalizza sulle carceri comuniste romene ed i metodi di isolamento.
Oltre alla parte storica riguardante alcuni aspetti del regime comunista, la suddetta ricerca si focalizza sull'esperimento condotto a Pitești e, successivamente, in modo da concentrarsi su un aspetto più letterario ed in linea con il percorso di studi intrapreso, sul confronto tra due libri rispettivamente intitolati "Il diario della felicità" e "Fenomenul Pitești", i quali si basano sull'esperienza diretta vissuta da una persona che è sopravvissuta alla realtà delle carceri comuniste ed una raccolta di varie testimonianze dei detenuti del penitenziario di Pitești.
Nicolae Steinhardt è stato uno scrittore e critico letterario di origine ebraica, convertitosi alla religione ortodossa nel periodo in cui è stato rinchiuso nella prigione di Jilava e poi divenuto monaco in seguito alla sua liberazione. Detenuto anche nelle carceri di Gherla ed Aiud, egli è l'autore del libro "Il diario della felicità", una testimonianza di come un individuo possa giungere all'elevazione ed alla purificazione spirituale tramite la cultura e la fede. Lo scrittore e critico letterario romeno Virgil Ierunca, trasferitosi in Francia nel 1947, ha scritto il libro "Fenomenul Pitești" basandosi sulle testimonianze e sui documenti raccolti che denunciano l'esperienza comunista del terrore vissuta a Pitești tra il 1949 ed il 1952.

Essa dissertação apresenta um estudo do léxico sobre os nomes para as aves em Juruna (família Juruna, tronco tupi), a partir da coleta de dados em campo e pesquisa participativa de base etnográfica, com vistas à aplicação em um estudo lexicográfico, que prevê a elaboração de um dicionário juruna-português. Apresentamos uma discussão sobre os nomes em Juruna, com destaque para os nomes para partes do corpo das aves e os vocativos de criação. Discutimos também o processo de formação de palavras relacionadas às aves em Juruna, analisando a formação de nomes compostos e o marcador de posse maka, que mais do que um constituinte dos compostos genitivos indica uma relação de significado amplo entre os Juruna e os animais. Por fim, discutimos o sistema de classificação etnobiológica e os processos de categorização dos Juruna em relação à avifauna, destacando a importância da cosmologia e das relações cotidianas entre as pessoas e as aves para a compreensão do seu sistema classificatório
This work presents a study of the lexicon of bird names in Juruna (Juruna family, Tupi branch) aiming a lexicographic application, the production of a Juruna-Portuguese dictionary. The data presented here were collected from fieldwork and participative ethnographic work. We present a discussion about the nouns in Juruna, mainly the names of parts of the body of birds and pet vocatives. We also discuss the process of word formation in the lexicon of words concerning birds in Juruna, analyzing the formation of compound nouns and the marker of possession maka, which rather indicates a relation of broad significance between human beings and animals than just constitutes genitive compounds. Finally, we discuss the Juruna ethnobiological system of classification and the Juruna’s processes of categorization concerning the avifauna, highlighting the significance of cosmology and daily relations between people and birds in order to understand that classificatory system

Previous issue date: 2006Este trabalho visa analisar, a partir de diversas formas narrativas (orais, textuais, visuais) produzidas no espaço da cidade, algumas práticas culturais cotidianas consideradas significativas por seus usuários coletivos. Focaliza as festas populares, especialmente o carnaval das escolas de samba, as festas juninas e as festas religiosas em homenagem aos santos do catolicismo popular, muitos deles sincretizados e incorporados às festas de caboclo, umbanda ou mina, realizadas periodicamente por moradores do bairro do Jurunas, um dos bairros mais antigos e populosos da cidade de Belém-Pa. Tomando a cidade contemporânea como um contexto onde se produzem formas e processos que articulam o global e o local, o tradicional e o moderno, o urbano e o rural, e tomando a localidade do bairro como palco da vida cotidiana (de Certeau, 1994), analisaremos modos de sociabilidade e construção de identidades em espaço urbano entre moradores do bairro do Jurunas, através de suas tradições festivas produzidas e compartilhadas pelos moradores, dinamizadas pela ação coletiva. Para viver a cidade e, portanto, conquistar um lugar na modernidade, migrantes de origem ribeirinha colocam em operação redes de relações, a partir das quais organizam práticas coletivas de uso, apropriação e produção de sentido dos espaços públicos urbanos, e através das quais constroem processos de identificação e (re) constroem identidades articuladas à localidade bairro e - ao mesmo tempo - a contextos mais amplos. In this study, we describe the isolation and characterization of a functionally signaling-deficient Galpha16-negative somatic mutant (hereafter referred to clone 43) derived from the wildtype Jurkat T cell line by means of an activation-induced cell death resistance-based selection strategy. The catalytic activity of Lck in abrogated in clone 43 most likely due to a lack of autophosphorylation at the stimulatory site within the kinase domain of Lck, Y394. Based on Galpha16 cDNA sequencing data, the deficiency presented in clone 43 is most likely due to one or two point mutations located at amino acid residues 26 and 300 of the Galpha16 subunit. Importantly, these signaling defects were fully reversed by re-introduction of wildtype Galpha16 version into clone 43. Indeed, our findings are the first of their kind to validate the proposed model by which the Galpha subunit modulates the activity of Src family of protein tyrosine kinases. These studies underscore the integral role played by Galpha 16 in TCR-mediated signaling and offer a powerful genetic tool to strengthen our knowledge about the regulation and function of G proteins in T lymphocytes. We also describe the phenotype of two other signaling-deficient, Jurkat-derived clones, named clone 15 and clone 21. (Abstract shortened by UMI.)

Cell cultivation in bioreactors would benefit from developed monitoring systems with online real-time imaging to evaluate cell culture conditions and processes. This opportunity can be provided with the newly developed in situ Microscope also called ISM. The ISM probe is mounted into the wall of a bioreactor and consists of a measurement zone with an illuminating light source to obtain real-time images of moving cells in suspension. The instrument is linked to advanced imaging analysis software which can be specifically adapted for the objects in study. The aim of this project is to analyze the T lymphocyte cell line Jurkat T cells using the ISM equipment and identify specific features of the cells that can be obtained. The results show that the equipment and linked software are suitable for monitoring cell density, cell size distribution and cell surface analysis of the Jurkat cells during cultivation. The ISM could also detect induced changes in cell size caused by osmotic shifts and the course of an infection occurring in the cell suspension using a developed software for online real-time monitoring.

La tesi rappresenta un tentativo di indagare il lavoro a giornata e le sue dimensioni, attraverso un'analisi di un mercato del lavoro agricolo destagionalizzato nel sud Italia. Essa si sforza di capire quali sono le convenzioni, i concetti di giustizia e le giustificazioni fornite dagli attori locali a sostegno del sistema del lavoro a giornata. L'analisi è basata su un lavoro di campo della durata di circa sei mesi realizzato nella cosiddetta Fascia Costiera Trasformata (Ragusa, Sicilia), un distretto agricolo caratterizzato dalla produzione di ortaggi freschi che rappresenta uno delle più gradi estensioni serricole italiane. Da circa quarant'anni la forza lavoro nella zona è costituita in gran parte da lavoratrici e lavoratori stranieri, provenienti per lo più dalla Tunisia (a partire dagli anni '60) e dalla Romania (a partire dagli anni 2000). Durante il lavoro di campo, l'autrice ha realizzato due mesi di osservazione partecipante (coperta e scoperta) all'interno di varie aziende agricole e di magazzini di confezionamento, due settimane di “shadowing” seguendo un commerciante in diversi mercati ortofrutticoli locali, e circa 100 tra interviste semi-strutturate e colloqui informali con braccianti, datori di lavoro e testimoni privilegiati (sindacalisti, membri delle istituzioni locali, volontari, etc.). La tesi cerca di spiegare che significa lavorare a giornata attraverso un'analisi empirica delle dimensioni e delle forme assunte da questo tipo di lavoro. Considera, dunque, l'indisponibilità del tempo di vita e di lavoro vissuta dai braccianti; la sofferenza e il dolore causati da uno sforzo fisico incostante sul corpo dei lavoratori, così come lo stress mentale che che esso genera; l'insicurezza materiale vissuta dagli operai remunerati con salari bassi e incostanti; l'incertezza sul futuro che costringe i braccianti a «campare alla giornata». Essa esplora, inoltre, il continuum formale-informale e le diverse configurazioni di semi-formalità a cui il sistema del lavoro a giornata da origine. Secondariamente, la tesi si cimenta nel proposito di riflettere proprio sugli spazi, che costituisco il setting che “ospita” e allo stesso tempo plasma il lavoro a giornata, proponendo quattro immagini idealtipiche dei luoghi di lavoro. Infine, il contributo considera come il genere, l'etinicità e la classe dei lavoratori influenzano e sono influenzati dal lavoro a giornata, il quale produce diverse “matrici di dominazione” e di “agency”. La conclusione appare come un invito a prendere in considerazione i costi sociali della filiera del cibo fresco, per quanto riguarda la produzione sociale di valore, l'impatto sui territori locali e sulla forza lavoro.The thesis attempts to investigate day labor and its dimensions, through the analysis of a deseasonalized agricultural labor market in the South of Italy. It tries to understand which are the conventions, the concepts of justice and justifications provided by the local actors to support day labor system. The findings are based on a six months fieldwork in the so called Fascia Costiera Trasformata (Ragusa, Sicily), an agricultural district characterized by the production of fresh crops that represents one of the biggest greenhouses areas in Italy. Since the last forty years, the workforce in the district has been mainly constituted by foreign (male and female) workers, mostly coming from Tunisia (since the 1960s) and Romania (since the 2000s). During her fieldwork, the author realized two months of (covered and uncovered) participant observation inside greenhouses and packinghouses companies, two week of “shadowing” following a broker inside local fruit and vegetable markets, and around 100 among semi-structured interviews and informal colloquies with farmworkers, employers and privileged testimonies (trade unionists, members of local institutions, volunteers, etc.). The thesis tries to explain what it means to work by the day through an empirical analysis of the dimensions and the forms assumed by day labor. Thus, it takes into consideration laborers' unavailability of their work and life time; the pain and suffering produced by an uneven physical endeavor on workers' bodies, as well as the mental stress that it generates; the material insecurity undergone by laborers remunerated through low and uneven salaries; the future uncertainties that bind workers to a daily model of existence. It also explores the continuum formal-informal and the several configurations of partial-formality that day labor system produces. Secondly, the thesis engages in the purpose of reflecting on the very spaces constituting the settings that “host” and at the same time shape day labor, proposing four ideal-typical “images” of the workplaces. Finally, the contribution considers how workers' gender, ethnicity and class shape and are re-shaped by day labor system, that produces several “matrices of domination” and “agency”. The conclusion appears as an invitation to take into consideration the social costs of eating fresh food, for what concerns social production of value, impact on local territories and on the workforce.

Yra žinoma, kad mikotoksinų sukeliamas toksiškumas, ląsteliniame lygyje gali pasireiškti skirtingais mechanizmais ir tai yra susiję su jų chemine struktūra [Duxbury, 2004]. Abu tirti mikotoksinai savo struktūroje turi epoksido grupes, kurios, manoma, lemia jų toksiškumą. Deoksinivalenolio veikimas literatūroje yra žymiai plačiau išnagrinėtas. Nustatyta, kad 4.5 - 41 µM šio mikotoksino koncentracijos 50% gali slopinti ląstelių proliferaciją. Šiuo atveju DON veikimas priklauso nuo ląstelių rūšies. Yra duomenų, kad mažos DON koncentracijos indukuoja mitogenų aktyvinamas kinazes - p38, JNK1/2 ir ERK [Pestka ir kt., 2005]. Šių MAP kinazių vaidmuo ląstelėje yra nevienareikšmis ir gali varijuoti priklausomai nuo poveikio ar ląstelių tipo. Apie tai byloja daug literatūros šaltinių [Minden ir kt, 1997; Finley ir kt, 2003; Huh ir kt., 2004]. The Food and Agriculture Organization estimates that at least 5-10% of the world food supply is lost annually to fungi and mycotoxins – poisonous chemicals produced by microfungi during their growth on food, feeds and various agricultural commodities. The effects of mycotoxins on humans and animals are dose-related and include acute and chronic effects, in the case of some mycotoxins, carcinogenicity, mutagenicity and supression of the immune system. Deoxynivalenol, one of mycotoxines, is produced by several Fusarium genus. It can be found as natural contaminant in variuos cereal crops and in processed grains. Besides its acute and chronic toxicity and effects on immune function, deoxynivalenol contribute to gastrointestinal diseases in exposed humans. Cytochalasin E – a toxin synthesized by Aspergillus clavatus, that inhibit cell division and protein synthesis, is nephrotoxic and considered carcinogenic. The aim of this study was to assess the effects of deoxynivalenol and cytochalasin E on cell viability and to relate apoptosis to activation of signaling molecules of stress activated MAPK pathway. The Juruna Indians have inhabited the valley of the Xingu River, and as it can be proved, since the 17th Century. After successive interethnic contacts, they went through decharacterization processes from a cultural point view. Nowadays, they find themselves living in varying sociospacial situations, as those who inhabit Paqui?amba Indigenous Land, those who are located on the Great Bend of the Xingu, and others who live in the periphery of the city of Altamira, Pará State, Brazil. Recently, the Juruna have strived to be considered as a legitimate indigenous identity, which is achieved through documents and orality about their history, and rites and diverse artistic manifestations, which is the main focus of this work. The research reveals the constitution of a multifaceted identity, which is driven by various realities in which they are involved.
Os Juruna habitam as terras do vale do rio Xingu, pelo que se pode comprovar, desde o século XVII. Após sucessivos contatos interétnicos, eles passaram por processos de "descaracterização" do ponto de vista cultural. Hoje, encontram-se vivendo em diferentes situações socioespaciais, desde aqueles que habitam a Terra Indígena Paquiçamba, aos que estão espalhados pelo Beiradão na Volta Grande do Xingú e aos que moram na periferia da cidade de Altamira. Recentemente, os Juruna deram início a um processo de externalização da identidade indígena, e realizam isso por meio de documentos e da oralidade acerca de sua história, de ritos e manifestações artísticas diversas, o que é objeto deste trabalho. A pesquisa revela a constituição de uma identidade multifacetada, que é impulsionada pelas diferentes realidades em que se encontram.

Este trabalho acadêmico propõe-se realizar uma análise sobre os movimentos sociais no bairro do Jurunas, cidade de Belém, Pará, e sobre as formas como os agentes sociais compreendem e praticam a política. Para empreendermos este estudo é feita uma discussão com os agentes sociais envolvidos e participantes no movimento social urbano. Em termos de recorte temporal examinamos um intervalo dos anos 90 quando Belém passou por um processo de Orçamento Participativo (1997-2000) até o Congresso da Cidade, (2001-2004). Nos eventos organizados pela administração municipal parte da população decidia e expunha suas demandas em assembleias, com eleição de delegados. Nos dias atuais está em curso a execução da obra de Macro drenagem da bacia da Estrada Nova, em que a população tem participado de forma reduzida nos processos decisórios desse projeto. O que teria acontecido com os movimentos sociais nos anos 90 e no período mais recente? Tentaremos elucidar essa questão, alavancando o que no senso comum e a academia definem como “enfraquecimento da participação política das novas gerações e o pensamento político”, voltado apenas para o campo das políticas públicas, no caso em questão é o Orçamento Participativo. E por último, responder a uma questão: Até que ponto, na atualidade, a participação política pode realmente definir os rumos de um governo atrelado a uma política neoliberal na qual os grandes grupos econômicos como o BID, definem boa parte das ações a serem desenvolvidas pelos Estados?
This academic work proposes to carry out an analysis of the social movements in the district of Jurunas, city of Belém, Pará, and the ways in which social agents understand and practice politics.To undertake this study is made a discussion with the social agents involved and participating in the urban social movement. In terms of cutting time we examined a range of the nineties when Belém has passed for a participatory budgeting process (1997-2000) until the congress City (2001-2004). In the events organized by the municipal administration part of population decided and exposed their demands in assemblies with delegates election. Nowadays it's in progress the execution of work of Macro drainage of the New Road basin, where the population has participated in reduced form in decision-making of this project.What would have happened with the social movements in the 90s and the most recent period? We will try to clarify this issue, leveraging what common sense and academia define as "weakening the political participation of new generations and political thinking", aimed only to the field of public policy, in this case is the Participatory Budget. Finally, to answer a question: Until point today the political participation can really set the direction of a trailer government to a neoliberal policy in which the major economic groups such as the BID, define much of the action to be taken by the States?

Les proteases a serine representent une famille d'enzymes impliquee de longue date dans les processus de degradation proteique et plus recemment dans la regulation de la signalisation intracellulaire. Cette derniere fonction est liee notamment a la presence a la surface de nombreux types cellulaires de recepteurs specifiques actives par proteolyse. Ce sont des recepteurs a sept domaines transmembranaires couples aux proteines g (rcpg), dont le mecanisme d'activation se fait par coupure. La thrombine module au moins deux voies de signalisation intracellulaire necessitant des proteines g, gi inhibitrice de l'adenylate cyclase et gq activatrice d'une phospholipase c. L'activation de ces systemes genere des seconds messagers, l'inositol-1,4,5 trisphosphate (ip3) et le diacylglycerol (dag), impliques respectivement dans la mobilisation intracellulaire de calcium et l'activation de la proteine kinase c. Nous avons recemment montre l'existence de recepteur de la thrombine et de la trypsine a la surface de la lignee leucemique t humaine jurkat et des lymphocytes t du sang peripherique. Nous avons disseque les evenements moleculaires induit par la thrombine et son agonsite peptidique dans les lymphocytes t. Tous deux, induisent une augmentation de l'activite des trois voies mapk : erk, p38 mapk et jnk. L'activation des p38 mapk est dependante des src kinases alors que l'activation des erks est non seulement dependante des src kinases mais egalement des pkcs. Nous avons identifie une isoforme particuliere, pkc, necessaire a la stimulation des erks induite par la thrombine. Nous avons montre par ailleurs que la proteine csk etait impliquee positivement dans l'activation des erks. Notre travail a egalement mis en evidence une interdependance entre le recepteur t et le recepteur de la thrombine. En effet, la proteine p56lck, element necessaire a la signalisation via le recepteur, exerce un controle negatif sur la liberation de calcium et l'activation de p38 mapk induite par la thrombine dans les cellules jurkat. En conclusion, nous avons caracterise certains des elements impliques positivement ou negativement dans la signalisation induite par le recepteur de la thrombine dans les cellules jurkat. Cette etude devrait contribuer a une meilleure comprehension des mecanismes de transduction du signal par cette famille originale de recepteurs et permettra d'apprehender son role physiologique et pathologique.

Kvalitet är ett svårdefinierbart begrepp som kan tolkas på en mängd olika sätt. Viktigast är att en organisation har klart för sig vad kvalitet innebär för just dem. I en verksamhet är det av stor betydelse att börja med kvalitetsmätning innan kvaliteten kan säkras i verksamheten. Annars finns risken att brister byggs in i systemet vilket kan bli dyrt. Dessutom är det svårt att styra det man inte kan mäta. Kvalitet utgår för det mesta från kunden med avsikten att uppfylla dennes behov. I en skola innebär detta att om en elev och en förälder inte är nöjda med skolan ser de sig med stor säkerhet om efter ett annat alternativ. Att arbeta med kvalitetsstyrning innebär hur en chef arbetar och styr sin verksamhet för att det ska leda till bättre kvalitet. Det finns ett antal teorier kring kvalitet där Joseph M. Juran är ett stort namn inom utbredningen av TQM (Total Quality Management). Syftet med studien är beskriva och analysera kvalitetsstyrningens omfattning, inriktning och konsekvenser i två fristående grundskolor. Vidare är syftet att analysera skillnader och likheter i kvalitetsstyrningen i dessa skolor. Studien har genomförts som en fallstudie där två fristående grundskolor i Stockholms län har studerats. Studien är av kvalitativ karaktär där den empiriska datan är hämtad från totalt åtta intervjuer, två längre intervjuer med de två rektorerna och sex kortare intervjuer med lärare på de fristående grundskolorna Kunskapsskolan och Fryshusets grundskola. Därutöver har litteratur, avhandlingar och vetenskapliga artiklar inom det studerade området granskats. Det som framkommit i studien är att kvalitetsstyrningen sker på olika sätt i de båda skolorna även om styrningen omfattar hela organisationen. Rektorerna arbetar dessutom med kvalitetsstyrning i större omfattning än vad de själva anser sig göra vilket kan bero på komplexiteten i begreppet. Likaså är kvalitetsbegreppet svårdefinierbart vilket uppenbarar sig under intervjuerna med respondenterna. Det viktigaste sättet för skolorna att mäta kvaliteten är genom enkäter vars resultat används i olika stor utsträckning i de olika skolorna.

This thesis describes a novel approach for cell encapsulation in alginate gel microbeads. The main aim of the thesis was to optimise a microfluidic setup and chip to encapsulate cells in monodisperse alginate gel microbeads. A number of cytotoxicity tests were therefore carried out to determine the effect of formulations used for the production, degradation and gelation of calcium alginate gel beads. Results from these tests revealed that the formulations used had little or no significant effect on cell growth, and therefore, alginate was deemed to be a suitable cell encapsulating material for further investigations. Alginate gel microbeads were produced using hydrodynamic focusing techniques. For this purpose two different microfluidic setups were constructed. Fluids (oil, acidified oil and samples) were driven through the microfluidic setup by gravity. However, a number of drawbacks using this setup arose, such as polydispersity and reproducibility. Syringe pumps were introduced into the design of the second microfluidic setup as a means of driving fluids through the setup. In addition three different microfluidic chips were fabricated with the aim of producing the ideal alginate gel microbead. The first microfluidic chip (PMMA MC1) was fabricated from PMMA and involved producing alginate gel microbeads that were internally gelified. This chip suffered from a number of drawbacks such as continuous blockages within the microfluidic channels, which led to the development of the second microfluidic chip. This chip was also fabricated from PMMA (PMMA MC2) but in contrast to PMMA MC1, gelification occurred externally, i.e. gelation took place off chip, and in this case the alginate microdroplets were dropped into a well containing 1 mL of acidified oil. This encapsulating procedure caused immediate cell death, which indicated that the internal gelation of alginate gel microbeads was favoured. These results also indicated that the design of the microfluidic chip needed developing in order to produce the ideal microbeads that can be used for cell encapsulation. This led to the fabrication of a novel microfluidic chip (PC MC3) which was fabricated from polycarbonate (PC) and involved internal gelation of the calcium alginate gel microbeads. The combination of using the optimised microfluidic setup and PC MC3, in addition to alternations in some of the solutions used to make the alginate microbeads, resulted in the production of the desired ideal gel microbeads containing cells. Snap shots of the encapsulated cells obtained using fluorescence microscopy after 24 hours of encapsulation, revealed that the cells showed some characteristics of living cells, yet at the same time they also showed some characteristics of dead cells. These findings demonstrate the potential use of the optimised microfluidic setup and PC MC3 chip for many biological and medical applications.

O presente estudo tem como centralidade a análise do processo de Regularização Fundiária de Interesse Social (REFIS) no município de Belém, mais especificamente a experiência no bairro do Jurunas, cuja característica predominante de seu território sempre foi determinada pela ocupação desordenada do uso do solo urbano, constituindo, assim, um fenômeno social que merece análise acadêmica e atenção do poder público enquanto agente da política urbana em Belém. Em decorrência desse fenômeno, a Superintendência do Patrimônio da União do Estado do Pará (SPU/PA) desenvolveu ações de cadastro e entregas de Concessões de Uso Especial para fins de Moradia (CUEM) no bairro do Jurunas, no período de 2008 a 2014. Nesse sentido, a pesquisa focará sua análise sobre a referida experiência, cujo objetivo foi identificar a Regularização Fundiária de Interesse Social através da CUEM no bairro do Jurunas, e teve como referencial teórico-metodológico os clássicos e contemporâneos do pensamento sociológico urbano. Cita-se Lojkine (1997), Engels (1945), Lefebvre (1999), Harvey (2005), Maricato (2010), Abelém (1989), Cruz (1973), dentre outros. Do ponto de vista técnico-operacional, a pesquisa adotou como principal procedimento a análise documental, tendo em vista a dificuldade em desenvolver uma pesquisa empírica com os sujeitos da REFIS em Belém. Nesse sentido, a pesquisa debruçou-se sobre dados da SPU, audiências publicas, Dissertações, Teses, revistas cientificas, livros e artigos. O arcabouço teórico-metodológico adotado possibilitou como principais resultados que: a) Historicamente, o uso do solo em Belém foi determinado pelas dinâmicas econômicas e sociais que alteraram o modo de vida da população demandante de terra para morar, gerando novas disputas, como o direito de morar; b) O fato de que o processo atual de REFIS no bairro do jurunas possui enfretamentos jurídicos graves, devido à inabilidade e divergências políticas da Prefeitura Municipal de Belém (PMB) e da SPU em realizarem ações conjuntas para regularização fundiária, em virtude da disputa pelo direito de tutela das áreas de terrenos de marinha, tendo como resultante a incerteza e a insegurança social dos moradores do bairro do Jurunas.
This study has the centrality analysis of Land Regularization process of Social Interest (REFIS) in the city of Bethlehem, specifically experience in the neighborhood of Jurunas, whose predominant feature of its territory has always been determined by the disorderly occupation of urban land use , thus constituting a social phenomenon that deserves scholarly analysis and attention of the government as an agent of urban policy in Bethlehem. As a result of this phenomenon, the Office of the Patrimony of the State of Pará Union (SPU / PA) developed register of actions and Special Use Concessions deliveries for housing purposes (CSUH) in the neighborhood of Jurunas, from 2008 to 2014. In this sense, the research will focus his analysis on that experience, aimed at identifying the Land Regularization of Social Interest by CSUH in the neighborhood of Jurunas, and had as theoretical framework the classical and contemporary urban sociological thought. The technical and operational point of view, the research adopted as the main procedure to document analysis, in view of the difficulty in developing an empirical research on the subject of REFIS in Bethlehem. In this sense, research has looked at data from SPU, hearings public, dissertations, theses, scientific journals, books and articles. The theoretical and methodological framework adopted enabled the following main results: a) Historically, the use of land in Bethlehem was determined by economic and social dynamics that have changed the way of life of the complainant of earth's population to live, generating new disputes, such as the right to live; b) The fact that the current process of REFIS in Jurunas the neighborhood has serious legal confrontations because of the inability and political differences of the City of Belém (PMB) and SPU in carrying out joint actions for land tenure, because of the dispute over the right to protection of marine areas of land, with the resulting uncertainty and social insecurity of residents of Jurunas the neighborhood.

Chronic inflammation and increases in oxidative stress are observed in normal ageing and age related diseases, these are characterised by increases in aberrant NF-κB activation, expression of inflammatory genes and circulating cytokines. Dietary polyphenols found in fruits and vegetables, have been examined for potential antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects in in vitro/vivo studies. 29 (poly)phenols were screened for their anti-inflammatory effects in Jurkat T-cells following 48h treatment. At 1μM, a physiologically relevant dose, resveratrol (RES) decreased IL2 release by 42% ± 7% and IL8 by 32% ± 8% compared with DMSO treated control (p < 0.05). Cells were also stimulated with PMA/PHA to induce cytokine release at the 24h time-point, 1μM isorhamnetin (ISO) reduced cytokine release, IL2 by 50% ± 4%, IL8 by 58% ± 6% and TNFα by 63% ± 7%, and curcumin (CUR) reduced IL2 by 43% ± 14%, IL8 by 30% ± 7% and TNFα by 22% ± 5 compared with PMA/PHA treated control (p < 0.05). These 3 compounds; CUR, ISO and RES, were investigated further using a proteomic approach. Several proteins were modified in the glutathione metabolism pathway with all treatments significantly (sig.) increasing glutathione reductase (GSR), an enzyme which converts oxidized to reduced glutathione. CUR increased GSR by 1.2 fold, ISO 1.2 fold and RES 1.1 fold (p < 0.003). ISO also caused sig. increases in other redox related proteins thioredoxin and peroxiredoxins. These data were validated with sig. increases in GSR gene expression with CUR and ISO at 24h, along with sig. increases in Nrf2 activation, CUR (1.5 fold) and ISO (1.9 fold). These modulations to inflammatory and redox markers in the Jurkat cell model were replicated in another cell line, THP-1 monocytes. A sig. reduction in cytokine release was observed with 30µM ISO for both IL8 and TNFα compared with the DMSO, correlating with the reduction observed in the Jurkat cells. Nrf2 was also sig. activated between 3 and 48h, however no sig. effect on the expression of GSR was observed. This suggests that ISO may have similar effects on inflammation but differed in terms of redox related proteins between the two cell types. CUR, ISO and RES sig. lowered cytokine release in both unstimulated and stimulated T-cells, and proteomics identified sig. increases in GSR. For CUR and ISO this increase was validated using western blot and qPCR analysis, with sig. increases in Nrf2 activation bring observed. The reduction in cytokine release was replicated in THP-1 following ISO treatment, along with increases in Nrf2 activation, but no changes in glutathione proteins were observed. These data support the potential use of these compounds in enhancing cellular antioxidant potential and the use of the compounds as part of a healthy ageing diet.

Resumo: Este estudo de natureza teórica busca, na Filosofia e na Filosofia da Educação, subsídios para investigar a relação entre infância e experiência na Obra de Walter Benjamin, sob a perspectiva do que Bolle (1984) denominou de cultura da criança no contexto da modernidade. Para direcionarmos nossa investigação, recorremos à análise dos ensaios bejaminianos em que, privilegiadamente, o tema da infância aparece: "Reflexões sobre a criança, o brinquedo, a educação" (2002); "Infância berlinense: 1900" (2013) e "A hora das crianças: narrativas radiofônicas de Walter Benjamin" (2015). A cultura da criança constitui-se e é apresentada nos ensaios de Benjamin por meio de caminhos em que a memória e história se cruzam. Encontramos a noção da cultura da criança em percursos onde o autor recompõe a memória da própria infância, vivida no limiar entre os séculos XIX e XX, em Berlim, bem como em outros trajetos dedicados pelo autor a pensar sobre a criança, realçar e refletir aspectos, tais como sua sensibilidade ou sua condição na modernidade. A cultura da criança, portanto, aparece diluída nos elementos históricos que registram uma temporalidade em transformação e reacomodação dos papéis sociais na sociedade moderna em que a própria ideia de infância é redefinida. No terreno da cultura da criança a expressão lúdica é uma marca de ambivalência entre a imitação e a transformação. Abstract: This theoretical study seeks, in Philosophy and Philosophy of Education, subsidies to investigate the relationship between childhood and experience in the Work of Walter Benjamin, from the perspective of what Bolle (1984) called child culture in the context of modernity. In order to direct our research, we appealed to the analysis of the Bejaminian trials in which, in a privileged way, the theme of childhood appears: "Reflections on the child, the toy, the education" (2002), "Berlin childhood: 1900" (2013) and "The children's hour: Walter Benjamin's radio narratives "(2015). The culture of the child is constituted and presented in Benjamin's trials through paths in which memory and history intersect. We find the notion of the child's culture in journeys where the author recomposes the memory of his own childhood, lived on the threshold between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries in Berlin, as well as in other paths dedicated by the author to think about the child, to highlight and reflect aspects, such as its sensitivity or its condition in modernity. The culture of the child, therefore, appears diluted in the historical elements that register a temporality in transformation and rearrangement of social roles in modern society in which the idea of childhood itself is redefined. In the field of child culture, playful expression is a mark of ambivalence between imitation and transformation. En la preparación del “Plan de Negocio: Distribución y Comercialización de Jurel y Caballa en Lima Metropolitana”. El plan consistió en elaborar una propuesta de integración de las actividades de distribución y comercialización en la línea fresco de jurel y caballa que realiza la empresa. Se analizó previamente la problemática existente en la comercialización de productos pesqueros fresco, y los canales de distribución donde operan los comerciantes mayoristas, como los principales intermediarios. Un elemento central a tener en cuenta en el análisis, es la informalidad con la que opera este mercado, si a esto se le agrega las inadecuadas instalaciones de los mercados mayoristas, lo que no garantiza la adecuada conservación del producto, pues el pescado es un alimento muy rico en proteínas y su consumo es muy beneficio para la salud, pero la conservación de estas propiedades pasa por evitar su deterioro con una eficiente gestión de la cadena de frio. En la segunda parte explicamos como el modelo de negocio basado en la capacidad de competitiva para desarrollar negocios alrededor de los recursos pesqueros, como un elemento de la cultura corporativa de la organización, será clave en la implementación de la propuesta. Esto permitirá garantizar la adecuada gestión de la cadena de frio en el negocio de pescado fresco. La empresa tiene integrado sus procesos de negocio pesquero, desde la extracción hasta la comercialización, “excepto en la línea de negocio de fresco”. Somos una empresa que brinda a sus clientes alimentos de origen hidrobiológico. “Los productos pesqueros representan una fuente muy valiosa de proteínas y nutrientes esenciales para tener una nutrición equilibrada y disfrutar de buena salud”. En los negocios donde actuamos, lo hacemos con integridad, responsabilidad, sentido ético y respetando el entorno donde desarrollamos nuestras actividades. “Nuestra propuesta de valor se sustenta en la gestión eficiente de la cadena de frio, como eje central que permitirá brindar a nuestros clientes jurel y caballa en excelente estado de conservación, manteniendo sus propiedad nutritivas”. En la parte de mercado, se analizaron variables de aglomeración como la dinámica poblacional, la estructura socioeconómica, las características de los hogares, el ingreso familiar promedio entre otras. Esto permitió definir a los niveles socioeconómicos C y D como el mercado objetivo, pues estos representan el 66% de las familias de Lima Metropolitana. El consumo de pescado en Perú es 19 kg per cápita, según FAO, estamos por debajo del promedio recomendado que es 30 kg/año. Lima Metropolitana, se abastece de productos pesqueros frescos, principalmente a través de dos mercados mayoristas ubicados en Ventanilla y Villa María del Triunfo. Del volumen comercializado el 60% se realiza por el mercado de Ventanilla y el 40% por el de Villa María. La línea de negocio propuesta, se implementara y tendrá su estructura organizativa propia y se guiara por los lineamientos estratégicos de la organización. El personal estará distribuido en planta y en los puntos de comercialización. Se propone implementar una flota de seis unidades para la distribución, lo que garantizara el control de la cadena de frío. La aplicación de una encuesta permitió relevar información que fue incorporada en el plan de marketing, el cual refleja las actividades a realizar para llegar al cliente con un producto que supere sus expectativas. En el plan se ha considerado proponer niveles de precio conservadores, la decisión fue ubicarnos entre el precio mínimo y el precio promedio de los precios de venta del periodo 2009-2012. La evaluación financiera de la propuesta muestra resultados muy favorables en términos de rentabilidad y de recuperación de la inversión, por lo que se concluye que el “Plan de Negocio” debe ser implementado.Tesis
