Abstract:

Three spring cereals and nine of their cultivars were compared over a period of 3 yr for the production of forage and grains. No significant difference was found in the yields of forage (soft dough stage) between cultivars within a given species except for barley where Birka yielded less than the other cultivars. No significant difference was recorded in the yields of grains between cultivars within oats, wheat, two-rowed barley or six-rowed barley. For the whole experiment, the six-rowed barley produced the highest yields of grains and belonged to the first group for the production of forage.

Abstract In this article, the group algebra K [ T ] {\mathcal{K}}\left[{\mathscr{T}}] of the binary tetrahedral group T {\mathscr{T}} over a splitting field K {\mathcal{K}} of T {\mathscr{T}} with char ( K ) ≠ 2 , 3 {\rm{char}}\left({\mathcal{K}})\ne 2,3 is studied and the unique idempotents corresponding to all seven characters of the binary tetrahedral group are computed. Abstract:

Extracellular K+ concentration ([K+]) is closely regulated by the concerted regulatory responses of kidney and muscle. In this study, we aimed to define the responses activated when dietary K+ was moderately reduced from a control diet (1.0% K+) to a 0.33% K+ diet for 15 days. Although body weight and baseline plasma [K+] (4.0 mM) were not reduced in the 0.33% K+ group, regulatory responses to conserve plasma [K+] were evident in both muscle and kidney. Insulin-stimulated clearance of K+ from the plasma was estimated in vivo in conscious rats with the use of tail venous and arterial cannulas.

K shell X-rays of barium and thallium following internal conversion decay in Cs137 and Hg203, respectively, were detected using a Si(Li) X-ray detector coupled to PC-based 8k multichannel analyser employing the method suggested earlier by our group.
