Abstract:
Unsere Absicht ist mittels der Betrachtung der Kantischen Theorie der Erde zu untersuchen in welchem Ma? man in seiner Philosophie auch einen Ans?tzen der heutigen Ekopotik, die eng verbunden mit der Auslegung Kants ?ber das Verh?ltnis zwischen der Geographie, des K?rpers und der Grenzen unserer Erkenntnis ist, findet. In der Kantischen Philosophie finden wir eine Geoethik, die sich mit dem Problem der menschlichen Se?haftigkeit auf die Erde und mit seiner r?umlich-moralischen Orientierung in der Welt besch?ftigt. Kant kritisiert die ?bliche Erdeauffassung als den Besitz der menschlichen Gattung (species) und fordert durch das praktischen Postulat der Vernunft an, dass es notwendig ist, dass man das menschliche Verh?ltnis zur Erde wesentlich im R?cksicht auf die k?rperlich-geographischen Grenzen der unseren Erkenntnis ?berpr?ft.

(nemacki) Die Beziehung der Wissenschaft zur Religion kann nicht verstanden werden, wenn diese Betrachtungen au?er den epistemologischen auch die mit der nichtdespotischen Kultur der westlichen St?dte zusammenh?ngenden soziologischen Elemente nicht einschlie?en. Dar?ber hinaus wird in dieser Abhandlung gezeigt, da? die Wissenschaft von der Religion am besten abzugrenzen ist, wenn wir uns auf die Vorstellung der erfolgreichen Voraussagen konzentrieren, und insbesondere jener k?hnen und unerwarteten Voraussagen von neuen entweder nicht vermuteten oder durch fr?heren oder Konkurrenztheorien widerlegten Tatsachen. Newtonsche Theorie, Einsteinsche Theorie oder z. B. die Theorie der Quantenmechanik haben zu neuen Tatsachen gef?hrt; die Theorie der Religion hat sich jedoch als v?llig unf?hig gezeigt, neue Tatsachen sowohl in Sozial- als auch in Naturwissenschaften, und im Leben ?berhaupt, zuverl?ssig vorauszusehen; sie bleibt sogar hinter den Tatsachen st?ndig zur?ck und versucht, mit ihnen Schritt zu halten.

Abstract:
Die Studie diente der klinischen Validierung der computerbasierten Testbatterie K-CAB bei Kindern mit ADHS. Die dem Verfahren zugrunde liegende PASS-Theorie (Planungsfähigkeit, Aufmerksamkeit, simultane und sequenzielle Verarbeitung) sollte auf ihren Informationsgewinn bezüglich der Diagnostik von ADHS überprüft werden. Die K-CAB-Testprofile von 28 deutschen Kindern mit ADHS-Symptomatik im Alter zwischen 6;5 und 11;0 Jahren wurden mit den Profilen einer nach Alter und Geschlecht parallelisierten Kontrollgruppe verglichen. Die Ergebnisse zeigten, dass die ADHS-Kinder zwar signifikant schlechter auf der Aufmerksamkeits-Skala der K-CAB abschnitten, in den Bereichen Planungsfähigkeit, Simultane und Sequenzielle Verarbeitung jedoch durchschnittlich gute Ergebnisse erzielten. In dreien von vier Aufmerksamkeitsparametern schnitten die ADHS-Kinder signifikant schlechter ab. Sie machten mehr Auslassungsfehler und reagierten insgesamt variabler und langsamer als die Kontrollgruppe. Die Untersuchung der diskriminanten Validität der Testbatterie zeigte, dass durch den Untertest Aufmerksamkeit 80.4 % der Kinder beider Gruppen richtig klassifiziert werden konnten. Schlussfolgernd kann festgestellt werden, dass eine neuropsychologische Testbatterie wie die K-CAB zwar wichtige Hinweise auf das individuelle Leitungsprofil geben kann, eine diagnostische Klassifikation aber nicht alleine auf den Testergebnissen basieren kann.

We give bounds on the error in the asymptotic approximation of the log-Gamma function $\ln \unicode[STIX]{x1D6E4}(z)$ for complex $z$ in the right half-plane. These improve on earlier bounds by Behnke and Sommer [Theorie der analytischen Funktionen einer komplexen Veränderlichen, 2nd edn (Springer, Berlin, 1962)], Spira [‘Calculation of the Gamma function by Stirling’s formula’, Math. Comp.25 (1971), 317–322], and Hare [‘Computing the principal branch of log-Gamma’, J. Algorithms25 (1997), 221–236]. We show that $|R_{k+1}(z)/T_{k}(z)|<\sqrt{\unicode[STIX]{x1D70B}k}$ for nonzero $z$ in the right half-plane, where $T_{k}(z)$ is the $k$th term in the asymptotic series, and $R_{k+1}(z)$ is the error incurred in truncating the series after $k$ terms. We deduce similar bounds for asymptotic approximation of the Riemann–Siegel theta function $\unicode[STIX]{x1D717}(t)$. We show that the accuracy of a well-known approximation to $\unicode[STIX]{x1D717}(t)$ can be improved by including an exponentially small term in the approximation. This improves the attainable accuracy for real $t>0$ from $O(\exp (-\unicode[STIX]{x1D70B}t))$ to $O(\exp (-2\unicode[STIX]{x1D70B}t))$. We discuss a similar example due to Olver [‘Error bounds for asymptotic expansions, with an application to cylinder functions of large argument’, in: Asymptotic Solutions of Differential Equations and Their Applications (ed. C. H. Wilcox) (Wiley, New York, 1964), 16–18], and a connection with the Stokes phenomenon.

Abstract:
Fünf Jahre nach Erscheinen des ersten Bandes der Fachzeitschrift Bauingenieur im Jahre 1920 wurde das fundamentale Buch „Erdbaumechanik“ von K. Terzaghi veröffentlicht. Letzteres wird weltweit als Geburt der modernen „Bodenmechanik“ angesehen, die als wesentlichste Grundlage der heutigen „Geotechnik“ gilt. In diesen Jahrzehnten hat sich die Geotechnik zu einem Hauptpfeiler des Bauingenieurwesens entwickelt. Dabei wandelte sich die zunächst revolutionäre Phase allmählich in eine evolutionäre, und zwar sowohl in der Theorie als auch in der Praxis. Der Artikel geht auf diese Entwicklung an Hand einiger Beispiele ein und hebt auch die vergleichsweise hohen Risiken in der Geotechnik sowie das geotechnische Risikomanagement hervor.

D'abord nous donnons la definition de la k-theorie hermitienne d'une categorie exacte avec dualite comme etant les groupes d'homotopie de l'espace classifiant d'une certaine categorie : k h n() : = n(b()) ; et nous demontrons que ceci generalise la definition pour les anneaux et se comporte bien par rapport a la construction q de quillen. Si a est un anneau hereditaire (un anneau de dedekind, par exemple) et s a un sous-ensemble central multiplicatif sans diviseurs de zero, nous etablissons alors une fibration homotopique b(a) b(s 1 a) bw (t s) ou t s est la categorie des a-modules de s-torsion et la categorie w (t s) est essentiellement une version hermitienne de la construction q de quillen telle que les groupes d'homotopie de son espace de lacets donnent la u-theorie comme definie par karoubi. Ensuite nous demontrons un theoreme de devissage qui simplifie w(t s) et implique une suite exacte longue. . . + u n(a/) k h n(a) k h n(s 1a). . . Si a est l'anneau des entiers d'un corps de nombres, nous pouvons calculer la u-theorie des corps residuels u n(a/) et nous en deduisons par exemple les isomorphismes k h n(a) k h n(s 1 a) n 3, 4 mod 8. La demonstration du theoreme de localisation utilise un modele a la waldhausen en u-theorie et les groupes de witt triangulaires de balmer.

Nous etudions la k-theorie des algebres stellaires associees a certains groupes discrets. L'outil fondamental est le foncteur bivariant introduit par g. Kasparov. Cette these comporte deux parties. Dans la premiere on etudie le cas des groupes agissant proprement sur des arbres, et on montre que ces groupes sont moyennables en k-theorie. On donne aussi une application au principe de selberg pour certains groupes -adiques, ainsi qu'une generalisation au cas des immeubles de bruhat-tits. Dans la seconde partie, on traite le cas des groupes d'isometries de l'espace hyperbolique complexe. On y construit des elements de k-theorie bivariante par des methodes faisant jouer un role crucial a la structure geometrique du bord a l'infini

We find out the concept authenticity and its formation in the course «Theories and technologies of personality development». Freud, K. Rodgers. The differentiation of the given concepts allow student to formulate their attitude to towards to the introduced theories. It also helps students realize themselves. Interiorizing the concept of authenticity, students consider their behavior and behavior of the surrounding people differently. All this components contribute to self-knowledge and personality development.

Abstract:
While valence subband mixing significantly affects the electroabsorption spectra, previous theories have ignored the contribution of the linear k terms in the Luttinger Hamiltonian.1 Here we study the effect of these terms by first solving the 4x4 effective mass equation for the two lowest valence subbands and then generating the exciton binding energies and wavefunctions. We find that the linear k terms couple hh 1 and lhA levels even at k = 0 so that the hh1 → cl 1s exciton transition is permitted for TM polarized light. The latter observation agrees qualitatively with experimental results.2 Further, since the linear k terms couple the exciton wavefunctions, the hh 1 and lh1 transition peaks do not cross. We expect that additional features of the linear k term induced subband mixing on the electroabsorption spectra of strained GaAs/AlGaAs quantum wells, particularly as regards selection rules, oscillator strength ratios and polarization dependence, will be observable at low temperatures.
