Abstract:

O suicídio de seis jovens Guaraní-Kaiwá num período de duas semanas é por si só suficiente para preencher qualquer critério de epidemia. Em uma população de aproximadamente 7.500 indígenas, há informações de que foram registrados 52 suicídios de 1987 até agosto de 1991; a epidemia é mais dramática entre o subgrupo Kaiwá: 14 de seus membros suicidaram-se no ano de 1990, e uns tantos outros suicídios já ocorreram no 1º semestre de 1991. Predomina entre jovens de 12 a 20 anos de idade, atingindo igualmente rapazes e moças. Para explicar uma epidemia desse tipo, propõe-se a hipótese do recuo impossível, onde se verifica o esgotamento de qualquer possibilidade de recuar no espaço, diante da "civilização ocidental", e, simultaneamente, seus valores de dignidade humana são aviltados. Não há mais uma só opção de ir para uma floresta e foram virtualmente capturados pela cidade (a aldeia dos Kaiwá fica no perímetro urbano de Dourados), mas sem chances de qualquer inserção ocupacional - só restando-lhes alguma forma de prostituição. Em tal situação de desvalia extrema, a auto-imolação é a última forma de ainda sobreviver a sua cultura. Houve epidemias de suicídio em indígenas de outros países, mas esses encontravam-se também em limite de recuo e sem chances de inserção na civilização ocidental. No Brasil e no exterior, outras tribos indígenas foram urbanizadas, sem tragédias como a experimentada pelos Kaiwá, porque tiveram alguma inserção socialmente condigna.

For express companies' distribution center, optimizing the vehicle routing can improve service levels and reduce logistics costs. This paper combines the present vehicle routing situation of Chang Sha Yunda Express in KaiFu area with the specific circumstances to analyze. A model of the vehicle routing problem with time window for the shortest distance was built and then use genetic algorithm to solve the problem. Its application showed that the method can effectively solve the current vehicle routing problems.

The Yershalaim chapters from Bulgakov's The Master and Margarita (1996/1965–1966) illustrate the three fundamental forms of possession. Kaifa and Levi Matvei respond to Yeshua in apparently opposite ways: the High Priest represses his experience of possession, while Levi Matvei surrenders himself to his. Both lose their footing in reality and begin to live in a fantasy world of their own devising. In contrast, Pilate engages with his experience of possession. He seeks the company of Yeshua not to become his disciple, but to engage him in a dialogue between equals.

Abstract:

The Style of Islamic understanding has a correlation with the progress and welfare of its people. Methodological error to interpret Islam will be trapped in the stagnation of thought and decline of the people. Therefore, one of the efforts of the reformers of Islam was to reconstruct the methodology as an important tool in understanding Islam to be able to provide a solution to the problems of humanity and sovereignty. This research attempts to reveal how the approach used by Muhammad al-Ghazāli in understanding Islam, the background of his Islamic Thought and its advantages and disadvantages. Based on the result of the study, al-Ghazāli’s thought was influenced by educational background at Al-Azhar and social-political conditions in Egypt. One of the efforts made by al-Ghazāli was to call for a total return to the Islamic manhaj (way) completely as the only way to overcome the religious and social problems of Muslims.This concept methodologically is an effort to understand Islamic values through the approach of the Qur'an and Sunnah which is interpreted through the spirit of rationality in the frame of moderation. Based on this approach Islam is not only understood as a doctrine but also a solutions to humanitarian and muslim problems.

The electric quadrupole vibration-rotation transitions of molecular hydrogen can be excited either by thermal collisions in regions of high temperature or by ultraviolet absorption and fluorescence that leaves the molecules in excited levels, v>0, of the electronic ground state in interstellar clouds located very close to hot stars. Predictions of this fluorescent emission (Gould and Harwit 1963, Black and Dalgarno 1976) have only recently been confirmed by observations in Orion (Hayashi et al. 1985) and toward the reflection nebula NGC 2023 (Gatley and Kaifu 1987). Most previous observations of the 2 μm H2 lines have been consistent with thermal excitation in shocked regions.

Abstract:

The Qur'an, apart from being a basic guideline in religion, has long been a primary data source in various studies and studies because of the richness of scientific concepts contained in it. Istifhâm as one of the various sentences used as a medium of interaction in the Al-Qur'an. In this study, the researcher discusses the istifhâm in the 20th Al-Qur'an juz. This research is a qualitative research with a research library research design. The purpose of this study was to describe the types and functions of the interrogative words (istifhâm) contained in Al-Qur'an juz 20. The data was collected using purposive sampling technique. The research instruments were data cards and recapitulation sheets. The data analysis technique used the content analysis method. The results of this study indicate that the researchers found 32 data in the form of adawatul istifhâm, including hamzah, man, hal, maa, aina, kaifa, maadzaa, am, and ayyana consisting of 26 istifhâm majazi and 8 istifhâm haqiqi data which are divided into 9 functions and istifhâm goals. Al Qur’an selain sebagai pedoman pokok dalam beragama sejak dahulu telah menjadi sumber data primer dalam berbagai penelitian dan studi karena kekayaan konsep keilmuan yang ada di dalamnya. Istifhâm sebagai salah satu ragam kalimat yang digunakan sebagai media interaksi dalam Al-Qur’an. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti membahas istifhâm pada Al-Qur’an juz ke 20. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan desain penelitian library research. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan jenis-jenis dan fungsi kata tanya (istifhâm) yang terdapat dalam Al-Qur’an juz 20. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan teknik sampling pertimbangan (purposive sampling). Instrumen penelitian berupa kartu data dan lembar rekapitulasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan metode analisis isi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peneliti menemukan 32 data yang berupa adawatul istifhâm antara lain hamzah, man, hal, maa, aina, kaifa, maadzaa, am, dan ayyana yang terdiri atas 26 istifhâm majazi dan 8 data istifhâm haqiqi yang dibedakan menjadi 9 fungsi dan tujuan istifhâm.

Abstract:

The FU Orionis objects show us the abrupt brightening by ~5 map. The two best studied examples, FU ori and V1057Cyg, brightened and have remained very luminous for years and began to fade gradually (cf. Herbig 1977). On the other hand, a large number of young stellar objects have been discovered with energetic molecular bipolar outflows (Lada 1985, for a review). On high-resolution radio observations, the disks have been detected around the central infrared sources (cf. Kaifu et al. 1984, Hasegawa et al. 1984). Most of the disks seem to be perpendicular to the bipolar outflows. These observations suggests that the disk is strongly related with the energetics phenomena like bipolar outflow in star forming regions. (cf.Okuda and Ikeuchi 1986, Hanami and Sakashita 1986, Pudritz 1985, Shibata and Uchida 1985)

Abstract:

Observations of the structure and the velocity field in the L1551 bipolar flow were made with the 45m telescope at Nobeyama in the 115GHz 12CO J = 1 – 0 line with high spatial resolution. It was found that the bipolar flow lobes have a clear hollow cylindrical structure and show evidence of a helical velocity field. They appear to rotate in the same direction as the CS disk found by Kaifu et al. (1984). The velocity of the flow in the bipolar directions increases with distance up to ∼ 3′ from the central object, IRS 5. These characteristics coincide with those predicted by the magnetodynamic theory proposed by Uchida and Shibata and indicate the essential importance of the magnetic field in producing such flows and also in the star-formation process itself through the enhancement of angular-momentum loss.

ArgumentIn 1867 Edouard Manet painted the execution of the Mexican emperor Maximilian of Habsburg. Manet broke with the classical tradition of history painting, for he depicted the actual shooting itself instead of choosing moments before or after the execution. Thus, the painting refers to a moment that in real time would have been far too brief to be perceptible. Manet presented a portrait of living actors whose execution has already taken place. This depiction of the imperceptible invites comparison to contemporaneous photographs of extremely short periods of time: attempts to capture flying cannon balls (Thomas Kaife), to take flashlight portraits of patients that would undermine their bodies' reaction time (Albert Londe), to visualize the successive stages of a drop falling into water (Arthur Worthington). Like Manet these scientists referred to an “optical unconscious” (Walter Benjamin). A closer look at their work reveals that they dealt with a space of knowledge that went beyond the classical dichotomy between objectivity and imagination, scientific and artistic pictures.

From the conducted conversations, many idioms spoken are far from the Arabic nabr and tanghim pattern. Nabr and tanghim patterns are often mispronounced is a common phrase used in conversation though different themes, such as; wa'alaikumsalam, afwan, syukron, ahlanbiik, kaifa, madza ... While the misapplication of nabr and tanghim patterns that can lead to changes in the meaning is on the greeting wa'alaikumsalam and should be wa'alaikumussalam, which means specifically into common sense..

Abstract:

The Kaifa lagoon is located along a coast in the western Péloponnèse. It is relatively shallow with an average depth 3.29 m. The lagoonal bottom sediment is dominantly sandy mud while few places are covered with muddy sad. They have an average Md 5.48 Φ (2.20Φ-7.80Φ) while in the greater part of the lagoon the Mz varies between 5.00Φ and 6.00Φ which points to the medium silt grade. The bottom sediments as a whole are very poorly sorted because of the significant absence of a wave or current action. Phi skewness varies between very negative and very positive values. These suggest the presence both the winnowing action and the process of the addition of a suspension material. The kurtosis values mostly are under 1.00. These probably suggest that the velocity of the depositional agent changes wide. The average amount of CaC03 is 45.28% (22.18%- 67.21%). CaC03 can be supplied by eolian action which operates on the barrier island. This mostly consists of carbonate clastic grains. The amount of organic carbon averages 3.58% (1.7%-6.10%) and the higher values (5%-6%) occur in the eastern lagoonal margin near a marsh zone.

A partir de janeiro de 1998, no Município de Dourados, Estado de Mato Grosso do Sul, Brasil, foi instituído o regime de tratamento domiciliar assistido por agentes indígenas de saúde, em substituição ao regime anterior, quando os pacientes tuberculosos da etnia Guaraní-Kaiwá eram sistematicamente internados para tratamento no Hospital Porta da Esperança, por períodos de até seis meses. Com o objetivo de verificar se a mudança de estratégia promoveu impacto nas taxas de cura e de abandono de tratamento, foram estudados, retrospectivamente, os prontuários de 594 pacientes tratados no período de janeiro de 1996 a dezembro de 1999. Os pacientes foram divididos em dois grupos. Constituíram o Grupo I os casos tratados em regime hospitalar (291 casos) e o Grupo II, os tratados em regime ambulatorial assistido (303 casos). Houve diminuição significativa da taxa de abandono e aumento também significativo da taxa de cura dos pacientes do Grupo II em relação ao Grupo I. Constatou-se uma elevada prevalência de tuberculose (40%) em menores de 15 anos de idade, o que permitiu alertar as autoridades responsáveis e desencadear projetos específicos para atender a essa realidade epidemiológica. A estratégia de tratamento assistido deveria ser considerada preferencial em outras populações indígenas.

Abstract:

Many thinkers and Muslim scholars who continuously strive to make zakat as the main alternative in overcoming social inequality in the economic field. This effort starts from the reformulation of thought to its application stage. Prof. Dr. Yusuf al-Qardhawi (born 1926) who has gassed the concept of zakat through his two books Fiqh al-Zakat and Musykilatu al-Faqri wa kaifa ‘alajaha al-Islam. His two works are concrete proof that zakat has a strategic position in overcoming poverty. In my opinion, one of the problems which has not completed at the concept level is that the position of zakat is equated with prayer, fasting, and pilgrimage as fiqh of worship. This results in positioning zakat on privacy matters so that the state feels limited in intervening in the management of zakat because it feels uneasy and there is fear of criticism of people who do not want the state to take care of one's privacy when practicing their worship. The reasons that motivated the writer to study zakat in a dissertation entitled "Reconstruction of Zakat on Prayer to Mu'amalah in the perspective of Maqashid al-Shari'ah. The conclusion is that zakat is mu'amalah jurisprudence which has the dimension of worship and it doesn’t have a social dimension.

Abstract:

The Kaifa lagoon is a coastal marine ecosystem located in the Kyparisiakos Bay. The purpose of this study is to: (a) To determine the spatial and temporal changes of the physicochemical parameters in the water column of the Kaifa lagoon and (b). To create a base of information for future use for the restoration of the lagoon. Temperature, salinity, pH and dissolved oxygen were measured insitu in 28 stations. Furthermore, water samples were taken for the determination of NO2, NO3, NH4 and PO4 on seasonal bnsin from November '94 to September '95. The temperature was fluctuating from 15,90 °C in March to 30,41 °C in late August and late September. Further the seasonal variation of the temperature showed the expected two thermal periods. The first period is a hot period showing a continuous increase of temperature from March to September. The second period is a cold period showing a continuous decrease of temperature from the September to March. For each period of sampling the temperature of lagoonal water in all the extent of the lagoon remains practically constant because the fluctuation of temperature is very small each time. The salinity varied between 7,2%o and 9,20%o. The salinity like the temperature presented seasonal fluctuation patterns but the lagoon is brackish all the year round. The spatial changes of salinity were absent for every sampling period. The pH values ranged from 6,70 to 8,40. So, the pH values fluctuated in the normal levels for aquatic animals. Further, these are relatively high in spring (arithmetic mean=7.8) owing probably to higher photosynthesis rate. Dissolved oxygen ranges from 3,30 mg/l to 10,00 mg/l. In the sampling periods of September and November the oxygen values were less than 7,00mg/l for a large part of the lagoon except southern margins. This evidence suggests dangerous conditions for the fish life. Phosphate concentrations were low (0,010 mg/l - 0,07 mg/l), in November. On the contrary the phosphate levels were high (on the average 0,111 mg/l) in the sampling period of September and in particular in the southern part of the lagoon. So, this part indicated photosynthetic activity. Further, In March the phosphate concentrations have an intermediate value for every sampling station in relation to the other sampling periods. Ammonia concentrations were considered high (0,24 mg/l - 2,68 mg/l) all the year round. Nitrate levels fluctuated around normal values (0,018 mg/l -0,11mg/l) during the year. The high amount of the ammonia nitrite and nitrate in November suggests the pollution of lagoon from the fertilizers into lagoon through two drainage canals. Nitrite concentrations were high during the cold period (0,041 mg/l - 0,280 mg/l). The spatial and temporal variability of the abiotic parameters of the lagoonal water must be attributed mainly to the strong influence of fresh water witch is discharged into the lagoon from a adjacent karst with hot springs.

Abstract:

Learning during the Covid-19 pandemic has largely shifted to online learning. In response to this, it is necessary to prepare teaching materials that support online learning, one of which is the use of electronic models or e-modules. This is a development research with referring design to the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) which aims to produce electronic modules on science subjects with digestive system material as teaching materials for VIII grade junior high school students to enhance problem solving skill. ADDIE development design includes identification of potentials and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, limited-scale product trials, product revisions, wide-scale use trials and final products. The resulting e-module is declared feasible based on validation by material and media experts and very feasible by linguists. The results of the limited and wide-scale trial showed very good interpretation based on student responses. acquisition of an average N-Gain score of 0,57 and categorized as moderate. The pretest and posttest scores obtained by students were 37,35 and 73,53 respectively. If viewed from the school KKM score of ≥70 then the average posttest score obtained is complete. The results showed that the electronic module in science subjects with digestive system material met the requirements and was suitable for use as teaching materials for grade VIII students of SMPIT Kaifa Bogor.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mengkaji secara mendalam terkait penindakan terhadap pengemis perspektif Yusuf Al Qaradhawi (analisis pasal 504 KUHP tentang perbuatan mengemis di muka umum). Studi ini diarahkan pada penelitian kepustakaan (Library Research) dengan sumber data primer KUHP dan buku Yusuf Al Qaradhawi“Al ḥalāl wa al ḥarām dan Musykilah al Faqr wa kaifa ‘alajahā al Islām” beserta sumber data sekunder melalui kajian literatur yang relevan dengan masalah yang diteliti. Setelah data berhasil dikumpulkan dan dianalisis. Maka diperoleh hasil penelitian sebagai berikut: Pertama, kegiatan pengemisan dikualifikasikan sebagai suatu tindak pidana pelanggaran di bidang ketertiban umum sebagaimana diatur secara jelas dalam pasal 504 KUHP. Ketentuan tersebut menegaskan pengemisan yang dapat dikenakan sanksi pidana hanya pengemisan yang dilakukan di tempat umum. Kedua, Al Qaradhawi memiliki pandangan yang berbeda dengan KUHP dalam penindakan terhadap pengemis. Penindakan tersebut berdasarkan membedakan jenis pengemis, ada yang boleh dan ada yang haram meminta-minta. Dan beliau juga mengemukakan masing-masing cara penanggulangannya, untuk pengemis yang diharamkan, penguasa boleh memberikan ta’zir, dan untuk pengemis yang dibolehkan, jalan yang dapat ditempuh diantaranya dengan memberdayakan zakat, infak dan sedekah dengan baik serta membantu mereka memperoleh pekerjaan. Ketiga, Konsep Al Qaradhawi dalam penindakan terhadap pengemis sesuai dengan kebutuhan masyarakat Indonesia yang kompleks, sehingga prospek kedepannya konsep ini dapat di jadikan acuan dalam pembaharuan hukum pidana tentang penindakan terhadap pengemis, dikarenakan permasalahan pengemis semakin kompleks dan kemiskinan masih menjadi faktor yang dominan yang mendorong melakukan perbuatan mengemis.

Abstract The paper focuses on one of the most sacred mountains of Tibet, A-myes-rma-chen, located in east Tibet (contemporary mGo-log Prefecture, Qinghai Province, People’s Republic of China). It deals mainly with two topics: the ongoing vivid revitalisation of the cult of the mountain and its deity since the Cultural Revolution, and how this interacts with the current changes at the site due to state-planned modernisation and development within the ‘Great Development of the West’ (Xibu da kaifa) strategy extensively implemented since the beginning of the twenty-first century. Particular attention is paid to the recent great circumambulation pilgrimage to A-myes-rma-chen, performed once every 12 years in a Horse Year, which took place in 2014/15, in the Horse Year 2143 of the Tibetan calendar. The article shows the present form of the pilgrimage, its reflection of and accustomisation to these changes, and the resulting quick transformation of the institution of pilgrimage. Pilgrims’ and local people’s understandings and views, alterations and modifications of their behaviour and pilgrimage practice, as well as actual reactions, are discussed. The article argues that the site of A-myes-rma-chen is currently being reinterpreted by the state in a secularised, commodifying and territorialising discourse in order to incorporate the area more closely, both politically and culturally. A-myes-rma-chen thus represents a space contested by different cultural and interest groups.

SUMMARYChitotriosidase, secreted by activated macrophages, is a biomarker of activated macrophages. In this study, we explored whether chitotriosidase could be adopted as a biomarker to evaluate the curative effect on tuberculosis (TB). Five counties were randomly selected out of 122 counties/cities/districts in Hunan Province, China. Our cases were all TB patients who were newly diagnosed or had been receiving treatment at the Centers for Disease Control (CDCs) of these five counties between April and August in 2009. Healthy controls were selected from a community health facility in the Kaifu district of Changsha City after frequency-matching of gender and age with the cases. Chitotriosidase activity was evaluated by a fluorometric assay. Categorical variables were analysed with the χ2 test. Measurement data in multiple groups were tested with analysis of variance and least significant difference (LSD). Correlation between chitotriosidase activity and the degree of radiological extent (DRE) was examined by Spearman's rank correlation test. The average chitotriosidase activity levels of new TB cases, TB cases with different periods of treatment (<3, 3–6, >6 months) and the control group were 54·47, 34·77, 21·54, 12·73 and 10·53 nmol/h.ml, respectively. Chitotriosidase activity in TB patients declined along with the continuity of treatment. The chitotriosidase activity of both smear-positive and the smear-negative pulmonary TB patients decreased after 6 months' treatment to normal levels (P < 0·05). Moreover, chitotriosidase activity was positively correlated with DRE (r = 0·607, P < 0·001). Our results indicate that chitotriosidase might be a marker of TB treatment effects. However, further follow-up study of TB patients is needed in the future.

Dr. Najīb al-Kiylānī is considered one of the foremost modern Islamic writers. He has written more than seventy books include novel, short story, poetry, criticism etc. He was a talented writer who mastered the necessary artistic tools; the main purpose of his writing was promoting goodness, virtue, tolerance and other human and Islamic values. His poetical works are free from any element of permissive-eness typical of poets. It is rather a poetry filled with concerns about the problems of the Muslim World. Al-Kiylānī was a well-known poet who left about nine books for us, six of them are published and four of them are unpublished. The published ones include: “Naḥwa’l-‘Ulā”̦“Aghānī al Ghurabā”̦Ᾱthār al-Shuhadā”̦ “Muhājir” Kaifa Alqāka” and “Madeenat al-kabāir”. The unpublished works include: “Al amal al-tareed”̦ “Lu᾿lu᾿at al Khalīj” and Ughnīyat al-Layl”. Al-Kiylānī’s poetical works are purposeful, depth, and mystical transparency which had a great influ-ence in the life of people that was one of the most splendid works. The poetry of Najīb al-Kiylānī, the writers notes are filled with an Islamic and sense of purpose.

Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani is one of the leading Deoband Hanafi Islamic Scholars living today from Pakistan. He is the son of late Molana Muhammad Shafi, the grand mufti of Pakistan. He is the brother of Islamic scholars Muhammad Rafi Usmani, Muhammad Wali Razi, Muhammad Razi Usmani as well as of Urdu poet Muhammad Zaki Kaifi. He is regarded as an expert in the fields of Hadith, Islamic Jurisprudence (Fiqh), Economics and Tasawwuf. He served as a judge on the Federal Shariat Court of Pakistan from 1980 to 1982 and the Shariat Appellate Bench of the Supreme Court of Pakistan between 1982 and 2002. Abstract:

Sugar cane production requires a number of operations to be carried out in the field through number of implements and machines. Therefore, time consuming and required large amount of energy. A combined field cultivator was designed in Kenana agricultural implements factory (KAIF) to carry out at one time multi operations, cultivation, furrow-reforming and Fertilizer placement. This is to increase field productivity, reduce farm power and lower operation time and cost. The combined implement was evaluated in Kenana cultivation fields and compared with the three individual implements, rigid tine cultivator, furrow reformer and fertilizer applicator. The measured parameters were drawbar pull, power requirements, field capacity, fuel consumption and total time in the field. The results showed highly significant differences at 1% level between the different implements for the field capacity, fuel consumption and significant differences at 5% for the drawbar pull. Power requirement in (kW) for the combined cultivator was 77% of those individual implements. Total time per feddan to accomplish the required operations by the combined cultivator was 57% of that required by the individual implements. Fuel consumption was reduced to 57% when combined implement was used compared to that consumed by individual implements. It was concluded that the combined cultivator was effective in increasing field productivity and reducing power and cost of operations.
