Abstract:

The present study aimed to investigate the expression of Mn-SOD and Cu,Zn-SOD mRNA in lymphocytes of Sahiwal and Karan-Fries during acute thermal exposure. Six numbers each of Sahiwal and Karan-Fries heifers in the age group of 2–2.5 years were exposed at 40±1°C and 50% relative humidity inside a psychrometric chamber for 4 h in a day. Respiration rate, heart rate and rectal temperatures were recorded to calculate heat tolerance index by calculating Dairy Search Index (DSI). Blood samples were collected at 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4 h of heat exposure for estimation of Mn-SOD and Cu,Zn-SOD mRNA expression by RT-PCR. DSI of Sahiwal was not influenced by heat exposure even after 4 h of heat exposure. After 1 h of heat exposure, DSI of Karan-Fries increased which further escalated after 3 h of exposure in Karan-Fries. Mn-SOD expression increased after 4 h and 2 h of heat exposure in Sahiwal and Karan-Fries respectively, however the expression declined after 3 h of exposure in Karan-Fries. Expression of Cu,Zn-SOD mRNA of Sahiwal and Karan-Fries was not influenced by heat exposure. The study revealed better equipped antioxidant system of Sahiwal than Karan-Fries in response to acute thermal exposure.

Abstract:

Tharparkar and Karan Fries cows were exposed to 25°C, 35°C and 42°C with relative humidity of 50±5%, corresponding to THI of 72.2, 85.3 and 91.0, respectively for three hours continuously for three days consecutively in the control climatic chamber. At THI of 91.0, physiological responses i.e. RR/ min, PR/min and RT (°F) increased by 14, 13, and 1.18 in Tharparkar and 23, 14 and 2.98 in Karan Fries cows, respectively over pre exposure values. At THI of 91.0, the surface body temperature was increased over THI 72.2 by 5.21 to 7.52°C in Tharparkar and 7.45 to 8.42°C in Karan Fries cows. Skin blood flow of Karan Fries cows was increased by 4.98, 4.15 and 3.95 PU at THI 85.3 and 6.84, 9.18 and 8.04 PU at 91 THI over the pre exposure values of respective THI at dorsal, ventral and ear part of body, respectively. The decrease in milk yield was calculated in the THI range of 72.2 - 91.0, the milk yield was decrease (per unit increase in THI) by 135.11ml in Karan Fries and 51.60 ml in Tharparkar cows. The results of the study clearly indicated the more sensitivity of Karan Fries compared to Tharparkar cows at higher THI. Therefore, Karan Fries cows needs protection from extreme heat for sustained production performance.

This issue is raised so we have visibility about the understanding and practice of Tri Hita Karan by adviser of Hindu Religion. The topic had been researched using qualitative method, gathering data by interview with the source, located in Ministry of Religion Tabanan Regency. Based on the research result, it was stated that the method which used to explain the concept of Tri Hita Karana is not good enough. The Adviser is recommended to improve the competency of advising, especially the method and strategy of advising. Abstract:

Thirty two genotypes of barley were collected from different centres of Indi including some exotic strains. These were planted in rainfed condition and clustering of genotypes was done by means of Mahalanobis' D2 analysis and Anderson's metroglyph clustering. In the first case the cultures grouped themselves into 6 clusters. No relation was found between geographical and genetic diversity. From the per se performance, intercluster distance and cluster composition, it was inferred that Karan-15 may be crossed with LHDP-238, (a), Karan-19 (b), Karan-521 (c), BCB (Hyl)-7 (d). Karan-201 (e) LLK-224 (f), or BON (MRA)-13 (8) for overall yield improvement on the basis of D-analysis. In case of metroglyph analysis, the genotypes were grouped into 7 clusters. The prospective cross on the basis of later one predicted, such as 'a', 'd', 'e', ' and 'g' were common for both analysis. Therefore, it can be concluded that Anderson's metroglyph analysis although not comparable to D-analysis, could be a meaningful support to D and in the absence of systematic clustering, could be a good indicator at field level.

Abstract:

This study aims to determine the forms of reprensentative speech acts in conversations via WhatsApp at the Karang Taruna Salama Ngleses Group, Pandeyan, Sukoharjo. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. The data collection techniques used are documentation techniques and data faliditation recording techniques are pursued through triangulation. The data analysis used in this study is pragmatic by carrying out an interactive model. The results showed that there are 4 forms of representative speech acts in the Whatapp karan taruna group, namely speech (1) stating, (2) reporting, (3) showing, (4) proposing.

“I am” is an action game with Gyroscope to directing player according to smartphone’s orientation and Augmented Reality to scan markers to obtain skills and items. “I am” is made with Unity Game Engine, C# to program, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to design User Interface and buttons. “I am” tells the story of a witch named Rogana which lost his memories with severe wounds. Rogana was defeated by Karan who can leap through dimension as he wish to. Karan has the ambition to become the strongest magician. Rogana survived and tried to take revenge on Karan. Testing on this game done by blackbox, alpha testing and beta testing through a questionnaire conducted by 31 people. Test results show that the game I am has a unique gameplay with Gyroscope and Augmented Reality features

This research aims to determine the use of animated video media in the 3rd grade Islamic Religious Education subject at SDN 18 Karan Aur and to determine the supporting and inhibiting factors in the use of animated video media on student learning motivation in the 3rd grade Islamic Religious Education subject at SDN 18 Karan Aur . This research uses descriptive qualitative methods, the object of this research is grade 3 students at SDN 18 Karan Aur and the subject of this research is students' learning motivation. Then data is obtained from observation, interviews and documentation to see existing phenomena. The results of this research show that the use of animated video media in Islamic Religious Education subjects in class 3 of SDN 18 Karan Aur is very good and appropriate to use because it really helps students in the learning process. Students have high enthusiasm and enjoyment for Islamic Religious Education lessons so that they have strong determination and will in carrying out learning activities, students have the desire to succeed, there is encouragement and need in learning, there are hopes and aspirations, there is appreciation for learning, there are interesting activities in learning, the creation of a conducive learning environment. So it is proven that the use of animated video media in learning can increase students' learning motivation.

Abstract:

Multimodal medical image segmentation is challenging due to feature heterogeneity across modalities and the presence of modality-specific noise and artifacts. These factors hinder the effective capture and fusion of information, limiting the performance of existing methods. This paper introduces KARAN, a novel end-to-end deep learning model designed to overcome these limitations. KARAN improves feature representation and robustness to intermodal variations through two key innovations: First, KA-MLA, a novel attention block incorporating State Space Model (SSM) and Kolmogorov–Arnold Network (KAN) characteristics into Transformer blocks for efficient, discriminative feature extraction from heterogeneous modalities. Building on KA-MLA, we propose KA-MPE for multi-path parallel feature extraction to avoid multimodal feature entanglement. Second, RanPyramid leverages random convolutions to enhance modality appearance learning, mitigating the impact of noise and artifacts while improving feature fusion. It comprises two components: an Appearance Generator, creating diverse visual appearances, and an Appearance Adjuster, dynamically modulating their weights to optimize model performance. KARAN achieves high segmentation accuracy with lower computational complexity on two publicly available datasets, highlighting its potential to significantly advance medical image analysis.

Abstract:

The aim of the study was to observe the influence of ambient conditions (seasons) on expression pattern of deiodinase 2 (DIO2) and integrin alpha 9 (ITGA9) genes in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) and their relationship with physiological and biochemical parameters of Tharparkar and Karan Fries heifers. Healthy heifers of Tharparkar and Karan Fries breed (6 each) were selected and blood samples were collected from these animals at weekly interval. These blood samples were centrifuged to separate the plasma (for biochemical parameters) and buffy coat (for total RNA isolation). The expression of DIO2 gene was down-regulated during hot humid season and up-regulated during winter season in both the breeds. The DIO2 gene showed a positive correlation with thyroid hormones (T3, T4) and negative correlation with physiological responses (RR, PR, RT, ST), cortisol hormone, antioxidant enzymes (SOD, GPx) and non-esterified fatty-acids (NEFA). The expression pattern of ITGA9 gene was opposite to DIO2 gene, i.e. up-regulated during hot humid season and down-regulated during winter season in both the breeds. ITGA9 gene expression showed a positive correlation with cortisol, antioxidant enzymes, NEFA and physiological responses, and negative correlation with thyroid hormones. The fold change in expression of DIO2 and ITGA9 genes was higher in Karan Fries than Tharparkar heifers during hot humid and winter season. The dry matter intake was lower during hot-humid season than autumn and winter season in both the breeds of heifer. The expression pattern of the DIO2 and ITGA9 genes and their relationship with physio-biochemical parameters revealed the essential role in adaptability of cattle as candidate gene. Based on the results of present study, it can be stated that Tharparkar heifers are better adapted to tropical climatic conditions than Karan Fries heifers.

Abstract:

Abstract Lactoferrin (Lf) gene promoter was screened for the presence of single nucleotide polymphism in indigenous and crossbred cattle from North India and to evaluate its association with Mastitis. Study revealed the presence of genetic variation in regulatory region of bovine Lactoferrin gene using PCR-RFLP technique. Three genotypes namely GG, GH and HH were identified. A single nucleotide change, from guanine to adenine at 25th position was found to be significantly associated (p<0.05) with clinical mastitis in indigenous Sahiwal and crossbred Karan Fries cattle maintained at organised herd of National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal. A non-significant association was observed between subclinical mastitis, somatic cell score (SCS), and GG genotype in Karan Fries cattle, however, a lower SCS was observed in animals having GG genotype. Overall a lower incidence of clinical mastitis was recorded in those animals having GG genotype of Lf in Sahiwal and Karan Fries (KF) cattle. The SNP identified in the promoter region may effect expression lactoferrin protein, which may lead to different levels of antibacterial and anti-inflammatory activity of Lf gene. Results from this study indicated the probable role played by Lactoferrin promoter to serve as candidate gene for mastitis susceptibility among indigenous and crossbred milch cattle.

Abstract:

The objectives of this school action research are; To find out the ability of elementary school teachers with a cooperative learning model through clinical supervision at SD Negeri 02 Karan Aur, Kota Pariaman. The research subjects were 8 teachers of SD Negeri 02 Karan Aur. The results of the analysis that has been carried out using clinical supervision in improving the ability of teachers to use cooperative models are very good. At the beginning of the activity the teacher was still hesitant to use this model, but because of the guidance of researchers through clinical supervision, the teacher was able to use the cooperative model. 87% of teachers are able to use cooperative models in the learning process and this also affects the potential of students.

Abstract:

First lactation 305 days milk yield (FL305DMY) of progenies is an important criteria for selection of sires. In field progeny testing programme, prediction of FL305DMY based on test day records will reduce the cost of recording. The present study was aimed at evaluating the efficiency of different methods of prediction for FL305DMY based on monthly test day milk yield records in Karan Fries cattle and evaluation of sires based on the performance of its progenies. Methods of prediction were Woodâ€™s incomplete gamma function and Artificial neural network (ANN). Efficiency of prediction was compared using error of prediction. Root mean square error was least for ANN method (5.72%). The attempt was made to evaluate Karan Fries sires based on actual and predicted FL305DMY so obtained utilising BLUP- AM method of sire evaluation. The breeding values of 48 Karan Fries sires having 3 or more daughters were estimated. Comparison of ranking of sires based on different methods of prediction was done using Spearmanâ€™s Rank correlation and RMSE values. The sire evaluation using ANN method based predicted values showed marginally higher rank correlation (0.91) and least RMSE (2.39%) with actual yield based on monthly test day records. Thus it was concluded that recoding at monthly intervals and use of ANN and conventional fitting Woodâ€™s function can be used for evaluation of sires. Though both the methods are equally efficient, ANN showed marginal superiority.

Abstract:

Karan Fries (Holstein Friesian × Tharparkar) heifers are sensitive to heat stress due to exotic inheritance. Therefore their productive performances are affected adversely under tropical climatic conditions. Hence, the present study was conducted on Karan Fries (10-12 months) heifers by dividing into two group i.e. control (fed as per ICAR, 2013) and treatment group (additionally supplemented with astaxanthin @ 0.25 mg/kgBW/day/animal). Environmental parameters (dry and wet bulb temperature, and relative humidity) were recorded throughout the study and temperature humidity index (THI) was calculated. THI was used to assess the levels of summer stress. Blood samples were collected at fortnightly interval from both the groups of heifers for estimation of oxidative stress markers i.e. antioxidants enzyme (SOD, GPx and catalase). RNA was isolated from collected blood samples for Nrf2, HSP70 and MnSOD gene expression at monthly interval. Plasma catalase, SOD and GPx levels were lower in astaxanthin supplemented group of Karan Fries heifers than control group. The expression of HSP70 and MnSOD genes was down-regulated and Nrf2 was up-regulated in treatment compared to control group. The THI had a positive correlation with oxidative stress markers i.e. antioxidants enzyme (SOD, GPx & Catalase) as well as expression pattern of HSP70, and MnSOD genes. Based on the results of the present study, it can be concluded that astaxanthin (potent antioxidant) supplementation was effective in lowering the stress levels in treatment group by down-regulating the genes related to heat stress. Therefore, astaxanthin can be an effective supplement for ameliorating the adverse effect of heat stress, mainly in heat sensitive livestock species.

Konsep tri hita karana mengajarkan anak untuk membina hubungan harmonis dengan tuhan, sesama manusia, dan lingkungan sekitar. Hanya saja kenyataan dilapangan menunjukkan bahwa implementasi tri hita karana belum dapat dilaksanakan dengan baik. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini yakni untuk mengembangkan program pembelajaran tematik berbasis tri hita karana pada anak usia dini. Penelitian ini tergolong kedalam jenis penelitian pengembangan yang dikembangkan dengan menggunakan model Borg & Gall dan Dick and Carey yang disesuaikan dengan kondisi dan situasi subjek sasaran. Subjek yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini yakni 33 guru PAUD/TK. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan teknik dan instrument observasi, check list. Data yang diperoleh pada setiap langkah dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil analisis penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produk pengembangan program pembelajaran tematik berbasis tri hita karan pada anak usia dini memperoleh koefisien = 0,91 tergolong sangat relevan; langkah-langkah pembelajaran memperoleh koefisien validitas = 0,89 tergolong sangat relevan; pedoman asesmen dan kriteria penilaian memperoleh koefisien validitas = 0,88 tergolong sangat relevan; Hasil uji validitas pedoman RPP dengan koefisien validitas = 0,94 yang tergolong dalam kategori sangat relevan; Uji validitas empirik produk langkah-langkah pembelajaran dengan koefisien validitas = 0, 91 tergolong sangat relevan, uji validitas empirik produk rencana asesmen dan kriteria penilaian pembelajaran tematik dengan kofisien validitas = 0,88 tergolong sangat relevan. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa Berdasarkan hasil analisis data maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa proses pembelajaran berbsis konsep tri hita karana valid dan empirik untuk dikembangkan dan dibelajarkan kepada anak usia dini karena dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.

Local culture in Bali can be seen from traditional buildings. One of them is Tri Hita Karana, Tri Hita Karana is a philosophy that must be considered by architects who will design buildings in Bali. The Tri Hita Karana philosophy is defined as three causes of prosperity in life. The purpose of this research is to know and understand Tri Hita Karan. And how do people in Bali apply the concept of the Tri Hita Karana philosophy using bamboo materials. This research uses a data collection method which is used by searching for data based on journals or articles as well as viewing and reading archives such as looking at photos and reading books/journals. Tri Hita Karana was implemented in the form of Parahyangan, which is a unique sacred area location such as a temple. Pawongan, means the community in Penglipuran Village and the traditional organizations that exist to improve and maintain harmonious relations between humans and fellow humans. Pabelasan, means that the local community preserves the environment, such as the Bamboo Forest. The use of natural materials such as bamboo is an effort to maintain harmonious relations between humans and nature.

The present research ascertained variation in plasma levels of ghrelin and leptin, and blood biochemical parameters under summer conditions in Karan Fries (KF) heifers (n=18) supplemented with two levels of betaine. Present appraisal was conducted on Karan Fries heifers selected randomly. Experiment was divided into two phases: Experiment-I (thermoneutral season) and Experiment–II (summer season: hot-dry and hot-humid season). KF heifers were randomly divided into 3 groups (n=6) of Control, Treatment I (Betaine supplemented @ 25 g/d/ animal) and Treatment II (Betaine supplemented @ 50 g/d/animal). Average maximum and minimum environmental temperatures were 23.5°C and 9.9°C and 35.3°C and 22.4°C, during Experiment I and Experiment II respectively.Blood samples were collected at fortnightly intervals. Betaine supplementation at 25 g/d and 50 g/d resulted in significant increase in plasma ghrelin, leptin, protein and cholesterol level and significant decrease in NEFA and triglycerides levels. However non-significant effect on plasma glucose levels were observed on increasing THI

Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus. Tiap siklus terdiri dari 4 tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 02 Karan Aur Kecamatan Pariaman Tengah Kota Pariaman Tahun Pelajaran 2022/2023 yang berjumlah 25 orang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada peningkatan aktivitas dan hasil IPA setelah diadakan tindakan kelas dengan menggunakan metode inkuiri. Hal itu dapat ditunjukkan dengan meningkatnya aktivitas dan hasil belajar IPA siswa sesudah tindakan. Siklus 1 rata-rata aktivitas siswa 66,80% (kategori banyak) dan Siklus II aktivitas siswa meningkat menjadi 88,80 % (kategori banyak sekali) Sedangkan untuk persentase ketuntasan tes hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I 72 % dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 96%. Dengan demikian dapat diajukan suatu rekomendasi bahwa penerapan metode inkuiri dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 02 Karan Aur.

Â Â The BayesianÂ model was applied for analyzing the first lactation in Karan Fries cattle. First lactation data of production (305-day or less milk yield and daily milk yield) were collected from the history-cum pedigree sheet and daily milk yield registers of the division of Dairy Cattle Breeding (DCB), National Dairy Research Institute (NDRI), Karnal. In the Bayesian paradigm, MCMC methods are applied to solve complex mathematical problems to estimate a large number of unknown parameters. Assuming linear mixed model and using the different prior set up, diagnostic of MCMC (Markov Chain Monte Carlo) was carried out graphically as well as by Heidelberg stationarity test. Variance estimates of the random effects (VA) and residual variance estimation (VR) and Variance estimate location effects i.e. fixed effects were calculated along with effective sample size. Finally, heritability (h2) estimates for First lactation 305 days or less milk yieldÂ (FL305DMY) was estimated along with its credible interval.

Abstract:

The present study was aimed at reduction in dimensionality using principal component analysis of 16 linear udder type traits and to identify those components having strongest relationship with milk production traits and clinical mastitis in Karan Fries cattle. Kaiser statistic for sampling adequacy with a lower limit of 0.50, and Bartlett’s sphericity test was used to determine the adequacy of variables for use in factor analysis. Components were chosen based on auto values greater than one and scree test. The relationship of these principal components with milk production traits was analysed using the general linear model and effect of the components on the incidence of clinical mastitis were analysed through binomial logistic regression model. The general mean value of KMO was obtained as 0.695, indicated the existence of true factors. Five principal components were extracted using Kaiser Rule criterion contributing 70.11% of the cumulative variance between the linearudder type traits. The communality ranged from 0.277 (udder balance) to 0.879 (distance between rear teats) for all these 16different udder type traits. The relation between principal component 1 and 305-day milk yield was positive and significant with a non-significant effect for 305-day milk-fat (305 DF), milk-protein (305 DP) and Solids not fat yield (305 DSNF). The principal component 1 was also found to have a significant effect on incidence of clinical mastitis. Results of PCA suggest that the use of orthogonal synthetic variables principal component one(PC1), two (PC2) and three (PC3) provided a means of reduction in the number of linear udder type traits to be recorded in Karan Fries cattle which could explain the whole udder biometric traits. The PC1 can be used in breeding programmes as a means to explain the mammary system for better milk production with lesser incidence of clinical mastitis in Karan Fries dairy cows.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis makna dan nilai budaya yang terkandung dalam tradisi Nyadran di Yogyakarta sebagai bentuk penghormatan terhadap leluhur dan pelestarian budaya lokal, subjek penelitian ini adalah dua tokoh masyarakat dari suku Jawa yang tinggal di Kp. Karang Patihan, Desa Demangrejo, Kec. Sentolo, Kab. Kulon Progo Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode naratif. Peneliti melakukan wawancara secara mendalam mengenai kegiatan pelaksanaan tradisi nyadran dan asal-asul tradisi nyadran. Hasilnya menunjukan terdapat variasi respon dalam kepercayaan dan praktik tradisi nyadran, yaitu pada responden wanita menganggap bahwa tradisi nyadran merupakan proses tradisi nyadran umumnya, sedangkan pada responden laki-laki menganggap pada proses tradisi nyadran merupakan tradisi yang sakral. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Penggunaan triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi metode untuk menentukan keabsahan data. Metode analisis data menggunakan model analisis interaktif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa tradisi Nyadran tercipta di desa Karan Patihan sebagai tradisi budaya yang mempunyai makna dan nilai luhur. Tradisi ini tidak hanya sebagai sarana memanjatkan doa kepada leluhur, namun juga sebagai sarana mempererat tali silaturahmi antar warga dan melestarikan budaya setempat.

Madde kullananların %97’si erkek olup, esrar kullanım oranı 2013’de %118 ve 2014’de ise %102 oranında artmıştır. Morfin ise sırayla %43 ve %42 oranında artmıştır. Kadınlarda madde kullanım sıklığı 2013 yılında %52 ve 2014 yılında % 131 oranında artmıştır. Son üç yılda madde kullananların yaş ortalaması düşmüştür. 2014 yılında madde kullananların %58’i bekar, % 74’ü ilköğretim mezunu ve %65’i serbest meslek sahibidir.Sonuç: Çalışmamızda elde edilen verilere göre Antalya bölgesinde son üç yılda uyuşturucu madde kullanım oranı belirgin düzeyde artmıştır. Madde kullanım oranı diğer illere göre daha yüksek bulunmuştur. En sık kullanılan madde esrardır. Kadınların madde kullanım sıklığı artmıştır. Madde kullanım yaş ortalaması düşmüştür.
