A 78-year-old man is described, who over 18 years developed three different types of keratoacanthoma: multiple keratoacanthomas, keratoacanthoma centrifugum marginatum and giant keratoacanthoma. Histological examination of the different neoplasms showed similar changes, all typical of a keratoacanthoma. In situ hybridisation revealed no human papilloma virus in the tumours. Complete examination showed no associated internal malignancy. After repeated surgical treatment oral isotretinoin treatment was administered (1 mg/kg per day). This treatment produced clearing of existing keratoacanthomas

The distinction between keratoacanthoma and squamous cell carcinoma is a common dermatopathological dilemma. Although the mainstay of the diagnosis is still clinico-pathological correlation, many dermatopathologists now include keratoacanthomas in the spectrum of squamous cell carcinomas. Recent reports, however, have pointed out that keratoacanthoma is "deficient squamous cell carcinoma" since it loses the expression of bcl-2 antigen, consistent with initiation of apoptosis, i.e. its involution. Abstract:
Over the years, keratoacanthomas have been described as some of the most common skin lesions with the potential for malignant transformation, thus constituting an important risk factor for the development of squamous cell carcinoma. Background: Vemurafenib, an oral agent that selectively targets the BRAF V600E mutation, has recently emerged as the mainstay of treatment in patients with BRAF-positive stage IV melanoma. A spectrum of cutaneous adverse events has been associated with vemurafenib, ranging from benign rashes to malignant side effects such as keratoacanthoma and squamous cell carcinoma. Objective: In this article, we review clinical data regarding the frequency and severity of the common dermatologic side effects associated with vemurafenib; case series and noncontrolled studies evaluating the safety of vemuraf

Abstract:
The article deals with a case of the clinical observation of a rare disease: generalized eruptive keratoacanthomas of Grzybowski. The disease pattern is characterized by the presence of small, generalized, itchy papules on the skin of the face, eyelids, trunk, extremities, genitals, and oral and laryngeal mucosae. The authors present a case of their own clinical observation of multiple eruptive keratoacanthomas of the Grzybowski type in a fifty-year-old patient seeking medical advice from a dermatologist. The duration of the disease was 2.5 years and its occurrence was preceded by repeated vis
