Abstract:
Tutkielman tutkimuskohteena oli Keski-Suomen granitoidikompleksiin kuuluva Hiekkapohjan alue. Tarkoituksena oli kuvata malmimineraaleja sisältävien lohkareiden ja kalliopaljastumien kemiallinen koostumus, malmimineralogia sekä erityisesti hopean esiintyminen. Työssä pyrittiin selvittämään, ovatko lohkareet peräisin alueen paljastumista, ovatko ne peräisin samalta alueelta kuin muut alueen lohkareet ja ottaa kantaa mahdolliseen malminmuodostusprosessin luonteeseen. Työssä tutkittiin litiumin dispersiota Keski-Pohjanmaan Kaustisen litiumprovinssiin kuuluvan Rapasaaren spodumeenipegmatiittiesiintymän sivukivissä. Spodumeeni-pegmatiitit synnyttävät ympärilleen volatiileista alkuaineista, kuten litiumista, rikastuneen dispersiokehän, jolloin ne muuttavat isäntäkiviään metasomaattisesti. Dispersiokehä havaitaan sivukiven taustapitoisuutta korkeampina litiumpitoisuuksina. Litiumpitoisuus sivukivessä on käänteisesti verrannollinen etäisyyteen pegmatiittijuonesta. Työn tarkoituksena oli selvittää tutkimusalueen litiumin taustapitoisuus suprakrustisissa kivissä

Tiivistelmä. Tässä kirjoitelmassa käydään läpi, miten moreeni pääpiirteissään muodostuu ja miten kallioperä vaikuttaa moreenin koostumukseen. Työn soveltavassa osassa käydään esimerkkialueen avustuksella läpi moreenin hienoaineksen kemiallista koostumusta ja millainen vaikutus Keski-Lapin alueella yleisesti esiintyvällä rapakalliolla siihen on. Rapakallion ja moreenin hienoaineksen koostumusta käydään läpi vertaillen materiaaleja Parkerin rapautumisindeksillä (Parker’s weathering index) eli WIP-indeksillä. Abstract The subject of this study is ancient stone structures found in Middle and Northern Ostrobothnia. Their shape, distribution, topography and relation to the ancient shorelines of different ages are the main themes of the research.
