Abstract:
Purpose: The main idea of this paper is to introduce the refined model for selection of the Key performance indicators (KPI). The KPI selection model can be considered as a tool for analysis of the enterprise, which should be able to simplify the choice of the right metrics for the company, where study has been conducted. The Enterprise analysis model (EAM) will provide the information regarding weak spots on the production and provide further steps to the management. Those actions will save time and reduce resources that are necessary to implement metrics in company. Design/methodology/approach: Main activities performed include: optimization of EAM; Fuzzy AHP and SMARTER criteria’s for ranking the KPIs; reliability analysis and weights appointment to questions and KPIs. In addition, the expert group has participated in the analysis of this work and has made a high impact on the results. Findings: The main result of this work is the final version of the KPI selection model. Research limitations/implications: The future research should be focused on optimization of the model and in adding additional module for automatic data collection. The Production Monitoring System (PMS) that should help to collect data about the status of the machine park, taking into account the downtime, overall equipment efficiency (OEE) and etc. Practical implications: The proposed model can be used in SME (small and medium enterprises) in order to improve the productivity. The concept was tested in particular company. Originality/value: The KPI selection model combine different methodologies into one general approach. Due to this fact, the process of finding right metrics can be reduced significantly. The proposed approach allows saving resources for the research of metrics.

The Faculty of Engineering, Udayana University is one of the faculties in Udayana University. The Faculty of Engineering has 5 departments that have a lot of interest. Currently, the Faculty of Engineering is preparing to support Udayana University in obtaining the Asean University Network - Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) certification which is targeted for a visitation in 2021. One of the supporters in obtaining this certification is that the Faculty of Engineering must have a performance measurement system. In this research using an integrated performance measurement system that designed through the Malcolm Baldrige Criteria For Performance Excellent (Education Criteria) approach which is integrated with several methods, namely IPMS in determining the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) which becomes a determining indicator of later performance. assisted by using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method in giving the weight of each KPI. After the KPI has a weight, then a comprehensive scoring is carried out using the Objectives Matrix (OMAX) method so that an index number per period is generated which is the reference for the level of performance of the department, as well as a Traffic Light System (TLS) to find out which KPIs require improvement based on color. With the creation of an integrated performance measurement system, it is hoped that the Faculty of Engineering can make continuous improvements. The results showed that the Performance Indicator from the Faculty of Engineering in this period was 427.19 with 24 KPIs being measured. The Performance Indicator shows that the overall performance of the Faculty of Engineering is above average (300). Only 2 categories are in the red zone of 21%, namely Student Criteria (KPI 1 and KPI 4) and Management Criteria (KPI 18, KPI 19, and KPI 20). In the following year, the Faculty of Engineering must focus on the five KPIs so that later they can improve performance.

Abstract:
Taking Hangzhou cigarette factory as an example, this paper establishes a key performance index system through integrating the balanced scorecard (BSC) and key performance index (KPI). The index system includes the first-level and 13 second-level indicators in four dimensions of finance, customers, internal processes, as well as learning and growth. Through Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, it constructs an evaluation model of key corporate performance, finally achieves the actual performance levels of the enterprise, as well as puts forward the improvement suggestions. This evaluation method mainly includes the steps of determining the domain of evaluation factors at all levels, determining the evaluation level, determining fuzzy weight vectors of various indexes, establishing the fuzzy relation matrix and calculating comprehensive evaluation results. It has high accuracy in the process of performance evaluation, which has certain reference and guiding significance for improving the comprehensive competitiveness.

Abstract:
Abstract Railway maintenance especially on infrastructure produces a vast amount of data. However, having data is not synonymous with having information; rather, data must be processed to extract information. In railway maintenance, the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) linked to punctuality or capacity can help planned and scheduled maintenance, thus aligning the maintenance department with corporate objectives. There is a need for an improved method to analyse railway data to find the relevant KPIs. The system should support maintainers, answering such questions as what maintenance should be done, where and when. The system should equip the user with the knowledge of the infrastructure’s condition and configuration, and the traffic situation so maintenance resources can be targeted to only those areas needing work. The amount of information is vast, so it must be hierarchized and aggregated; users must filter out the useless indicators. Data are fused by compiling several individual indicators into a single index; the resulting composite indicators measure multidimensional concepts which cannot be captured by a single index. The paper describes a method of monitoring a complex entity. In this scenario, a plurality of use indices and weighting values are used to create a composite and aggregated use index from a combination of lower level use indices and weighting values. The resulting composite and aggregated indicators can be a decision-making tool for asset managers at different hierarchical levels.

Abstract:
In late 2016, two well-known Australian organizations joined together to produce a new employee wellness index. The national and international firms, Medibank and Deloitte, respectively, promoted the index as enabling firms to measure the collective wellness and wellbeing of their staff. The two firms were of the view that these concepts should become a mainstream issue for boards and management, and form part of CEO accountability to the board. The case was put that responsibility for wellness should become a Key Performance Indicator (KPI) against which leadership and management performance could be judged. This paper examines the basis for such a proposal in terms of Australia’s system of corporate and tort law. It reviews the implications of a potential employee right to wellbeing. Would this impact, for example, on the established rights and expectations of employees, both individually and collectively? In addition to examining the consequences for relevant law and regulation, this paper reviews the implications in an international context for Australia’s long-established system of shareholder-primacy corporate governance. In particular, does the proposed wellness index invert the shareholder model, and give too much power to employees?

Abstract:
Department of Mechanical Engineering Udayana University in 2016 has managed to maintain the A accreditation obtained since 2011. One of the supporting success is because it has owned performance measurement system generated by the author in 2015 where the system has been able to monitor the performance of majors on an ongoing basis. Although the performance measurement system has been used, but in its implementation there are still many shortcomings possessed by the system mainly because the system is still in the form of manual. Another disadvantage can also be seen from the results of research authors of 2016 which shows that from the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) average perception of students of 2.91 is still below the average of their expectations of 3.14. In this research, re-design of integrated performance measurement system based on the results of research in 2015 and 2016 with Performance Prism method where the method is integrated with several methods of Integrated Performance Measurement Systems (IPMS) in the determination of Key Performande Indicator (KPI) a performance indicator that is then assisted using the Analytical Hierarcy Process (AHP) method in the weighting of each KPI. After KPI has weight then scoring thoroughly with Objectives Matrix (OMAX) method so that the result of index number per period become reference of department performance level, and Traffic Light System (TLS) to know which KPI need improvement based on color. From the research results obtained Performance Indicator from period 1 of 322.8 and increased 7.6% compared to Performance Indicator average 300. Performance Indicator from period 2 amounted to 352.50 and increased 9.2% compared to period 1. Performance Indicator from period 3 was 354.66 and slightly increased by 0.61% compared to period 2. Performance Indicator from period 4 was 354.52 and decreased slightly 0.04% compared to period 3. Performance Indicator from period 5 was 573.35 and an increase of 61.73% compared to period 4. Performance Indicator from period 6 of 606.68 and increased 5.81% compared to period 5 and is the period with the highest Performance Indicator in this measurement system.

Abstract:
Declining costs for high-performance batteries are leading to a global increased use of storage systems in residential buildings. Especially in conjunction with reduced photovoltaic (PV) feed-in tariffs, a large market has been developed for PV battery systems to increase self-sufficiency. They differ in the type of coupling between PV and battery, the nominal capacities of their components, and their degree of integration. High system performance is particularly important to achieve profitability for the operator. This paper presents and evaluates methods for a uniform determination of PV battery system performance. Already the requirement analysis reveals that a performance comparison of PV battery systems must cover the efficiency and effectiveness during system operation. A method based on a derivation of key performance indicators (KPIs) for these two criteria through an application test is proposed. It is evaluated by comparison to other methods, such as the System Performance Index (SPI) and aggregation of conversion and storage efficiency. These methods are applied with five systems in a laboratory test bench to identify their advantages and drawbacks. Here, a particular focus is on compliance with the initially formulated requirements in terms of both test procedures and KPI derivations. Analysis revealed that the proposed method addresses these requirements well, and is beneficial in terms of result comprehensibility and KPI validity.

Abstract:
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to examine the effect of the emotional attachment strength of family members to their business on the quality of the voluntary disclosure of their key performance indicator (KPI). More specifically, the authors focused on the effect of two dimensions of the socio-emotional theory, i.e. “family influence and control” and “firm dynasty succession.” Design/methodology/approach The authors performed a content analysis of annual reports for a sample of 87 French families listed in CAC All-Tradable to calculate a disclosure quality index of KPI. The authors proxied the “family influence and control” by the proportion of family members appointed in the board. To identify the “firm dynasty succession” concern, the authors classified firms according to the generation they belonged to. The authors estimated a cross-sectional linear regression model to meet the research objective. Findings This study confirms the role of the family affective attachment in decreasing the quality of KPI disclosure in such a way to preserve its socio-emotional wealth. The family firms’ principals who desire to sustain their control on the firm, to perpetuate the business for future generations and to protect their emotional wealth tend to avoid the disclosure of credible and reliable KPI information. Practical implications The findings have meaningful practical implications. First, they provide relevant insights into the regulatory bodies of the financial reporting regarding the increasing appeal for making KPI disclosure mandatory. Second, as the family businesses are the most widespread proprietorship in the French context, the effect of the family agenda on the quality of the KPI should be of interest to various policymakers and financial statements’ users of such firms. Third, the results inform nonfamily shareholders regarding the importance of selecting representatives on the board that should share similar interest with regard to KPI disclosure. Social implications From a societal perspective, this study is relevant in taking into account the critical role the family businesses have in the French economy. This study should help the minority shareholders to protect their interests and maximize their wealth within the family firm because it sheds light on the influence that family members have on hiding key information on the firm’s real performance. Originality/value To the best of the authors’ knowledge, no prior study in the family firms literature has examined the quality of voluntary disclosure of KPI. Although most previous studies merely compared family and nonfamily firms in terms of voluntary disclosure, the authors acknowledge and address the heterogeneity between family firms. The authors contribute to the few prior empirical validations of SEW implication on voluntary disclosure decisions by testing the effect of an additional dimension, which is family dynasty.

Abstract This paper introduces a multi-stakeholder multi-criteria evaluation framework, which can be used for the assessment of the last mile distribution performance of urban freight terminals. To this end, a comparative analysis is conducted addressing two Greek urban intermodal freight terminals located at the port of Thessaloniki (ThPA) and Kuehne+Nagel (K+N)’s premises. The assessment of the terminals’ performance relies on a tailored multi-criteria Key Performance Indicator (KPI)-based evaluation framework, whereas the selection and significance of the incorporated criteria and KPIs is predetermined by the relevant responsible stakeholders, who imposed their viewpoint through an analytic hierarchy process. Results showed that ThPA was ranked first according to its performance pertaining to the role of an intermodal interchange; still, K+N’s performance index was only 8.5% lower than ThPA’s, while in specific KPIs it seems that it performs in a better way.

Abstract:
We report on a novel evaluation framework to globally assess the footprint of smart cities and communities (SCC) projects, being also expandable to the case of smart grid related projects. The uniform smart city evaluation (USE) framework is constructed upon three complementary evaluation axes: the first one aims to weigh up the success of a SCC project based on performance metrics against pre-defined project-specific target values. The second axis focuses on the project’s impact towards the sustainability of a city and it is bench-marked against national and international key objectives arising from strategic plans. This bench-marking feeds the third axis which provides a more inclusive evaluation against four pre-defined and widely acclaimed sectors of interest. The steps to be followed for the uniform evaluation of each axis and corresponding index are presented in detail, including necessary key performance indicator (KPI) normalization, weighting, and aggregation methods. The resulting indices’ scores for each axis (namely project performance index, sustainability impact index, and sustainability performance index) can be post-processed with adequate data processing and visualization tools to extract important information on the extent to which the range of success of a SCC project contributes to the city sustainability progress. Illustrative examples from an on-going SCC project are provided to highlight the strengths of the approach. The proposed framework can be used to compare multiple projects within a city and sustainability and project performance in different cities, evaluate the interventions chosen per project against city needs, benchmark and design future projects (with, e.g., reverse engineering, projections), as well as evaluate various spatial and temporal scales.

Abstract:
Warehouse performance measurement is needed to improve performance of logistics system. In order to improve warehouse performance, it is necessary to identify Key Performance Indicator (KPI). Different warehouses have different KPI, therefore this research aims to identify the most important KPI of warehouse so that warehouse manager can determine corrective actions in their warehouse efficiently and effectively. In this research, 25 KPI of warehouse are identified in five warehouse activities based on Frazelle model. The most important KPI are then determined in each warehouse activity using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). Warehouse performance are measured and final score is determined using SNORM. Improvement steps are proposed base on benchmarking among warehouses. Warehouse performance measurement is conducted in 5 construction’s material warehouses located in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. From this study, it is found that most important KPI for receiving is productivity (receive per man-hour), KPI for put away is cycle time (put away cycle time), KPI for storage is utilization (% location and cube occupied), KPI for order picking is cycle time (order picking cycle time) and KPI for shipping is productivity (order prepared for shipment per man-hour). Improving warehouse performance could be done by comparing warehouse performance with the best performance among peer group.

Abstract:
Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to introduce a methodology to identify sustainable supply chain key performance indicators (KPI) that can then be used for sustainability performance evaluation for suppliers. Design/methodology/approach – Initially the complexity of sustainable supply chain performance measurement is discussed. Then, a two-stage method utilizing neighborhood rough set theory to identify KPI and data envelopment analysis (DEA) to benchmark and evaluate relative performance using the KPI is completed. Additional analysis is performed to determine the sensitivity of the KPI set formation and performance results. Findings – The results show that KPI can be determined using neighborhood rough set, and DEA performance results provide insight into relative performance of suppliers. The supply chain sustainability performance results from both the neighborhood rough set and DEA can be quite sensitive parameters selected and sustainability KPI sets that were determined. Research limitations/implications – The data utilized in this study are illustrative and simulated. Only one model for the neighborhood rough set and DEA was utilized. Additional investigations using a variation of rough set and DEA models can be completed. Practical implications – This tool set is valuable for managers to help identify sustainable supply chain KPI (from among hundreds of potential measures) and evaluate sustainability performance of various units within supply chains, including supply chain partners, departments, projects and programs. Social implications – Sustainability incorporates many business, economic and social implications. The methods introduced in this paper can help organizations and their supply chains become more strategically and operationally sustainable. Originality/value – Few tools and techniques exist in the sustainable supply chain literature to help develop KPIs and evaluate sustainability performance of suppliers and the supply chain. This paper is one of the first that integrates neighborhood rough set and DEA to address this important sustainable supply chain performance measurement issue.

Abstract:
Sustainability has been recognized as a major concern globally since the Brudtland Report, in 1987, and further reinforced in 2015 by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDG) 2030. This paper reviews the methodologies and criteria of sustainability applied to fashion products, regarding products’ environmental footprint (environmental life cycle assessment/analysis; e-LCA), the social issues (including the social life cycle assessment/analysis; s-LCA) and the transparency in reporting sustainability. In our review we seek KPIs (key performance indicators) that allow classification of a pair of shoes or a piece of cloth on a scale from A to E, i.e., products can be compared with a benchmark and classified accordingly with a simple labelling scheme, which is easily understandable by the consumers. This approach is similar to those used to classify electrical appliances, housing energy consumption for thermal comfort, food Nutri-Scores, CO2 levels of road vehicles, and tire performance. In this review we aim to identify the initiatives and measures being put into practice by the top global fashion brands. We found that, despite the existence of GRI (global sustainability reporting initiative) standard reporting, most companies follow their own methods or others created within the industry rather than those created in the scientific community. Examples include the Higg index, the Transparency Index, and the Social Codes of Conduct (CoC). In this study, we conducted an extensive review of certification schemes and labels already applied to fashion products, and identified a multitude of labels and lack of harmonization in communicating sustainability. As result, we compiled a summary table of all criteria, methodologies, and possible KPIs that can be considered the basis for a benchmark and score of a fashion product. This topic is crucial to avoid “green washing” and a lack of transparency for the buyer’s community, i.e., business to consumer (B2C), and for the business community, i.e., business to business (B2B) relationships, which comprise a complex multi-layer supply chain of suppliers and sub-suppliers. The UNSDG 2030 “Responsible Consumption and Production” frames these efforts to facilitate standardization of KPIs in terms of structure, criteria, and their measurement. The most common KPI is environmental global warming impact (expressed as CO2eq) based on life cycle assessment/analysis (LCA) principles (established in 2000), which provide an appropriate base to monitor and benchmark products. However, in our innovative review of t-shirt e-LCA, we identified a wide range of e-LCA assumptions, relating to different boundaries, allocations, functional units, and impact categories, which represent a major challenge in benchmarking.

<em>The measurement of lecturer performance is done in terms of objectivity and the absence of measurable variables used, so that the assessment variables used in the measurement process are based on one's perception. Inaccuracy in measuring lecture performance can be applied with the fuzzy mamdani method so that measurements become more precise. Weighting is done for each parameter that refers to the Key Performance Indicator. To support the performance of the lecturer, the data was obtained from lecturer data in the Faculty of Engineering which was processed to get the output. The formation of fuzzy mamdani rules has 79 rulebases from experts, from the results of research that has been done, the input variables for fuzzy calculations in this system are the Education, Research, Community Service, Self-development and output variables namely the lecturer performance value. The fuzzy set used in each fuzzy variable is not good, moderate, and good. The Mamdani fuzzy method is a mathematical framework used to present uncertainty, obscurity, inaccuracy. In fuzzy mamdani done in stages (a) the formation of the fuzzy set, (b) the application of the implication function, (c) forming the rules, (d) affirmation (defuzzification). From the results of the study, obtained a comparison of measurements with KPI without fuzzy and KPI with fuzzy which produces fluctuating values, where KPI using fuzzy has better results than KPI without fuzzy. In the fuzzy mamdani method produces values that move smoothly, this difference is shown from the significance value (2-tailed) produced is smaller than α = 0.05 which is 6.09 x 10-5, so that the KPI uses fuzzy significantly different from KPI without fuzzy. </em>

Abstract:
In view of the low seeding efficiency and precision of seeders used for Brassica chinensis in China, a new double-row pneumatic precision metering device for Brassica chinensis was designed, fabricated, and evaluated. With the characteristics of small size and high sphericity of Brassica chinensis seeds in mind, the structure and key dimensions of the metering plate were determined, and a force analysis of the seed-filling process was carried out. The negative pressure (NP), angular velocity (AV) of the metering plate, and cone angle (CA) of the suction hole were selected as the main influencing factors of the experiment. In order to explore the influence of each single factor and the interaction between factors on the seeding performance, a single factor experiment and a central composite design (CCD) experiment were designed, respectively, and the experimental results were analyzed by analysis of variance (ANOVA). After optimizing the main influencing factors such that the target of the qualified index (QI) was greater than 94% and the miss index (MI) was less than 2.5%, it was found that when CA was 60°, NP was 1.55–1.72 kPa, and AV was 1.1–1.9 rad/s, the seeding performance was excellent. The bench verification results of seeding performance (94% ≤ Q ≤ 100%, 0 ≤ M ≤ 2.5%) and the coefficient of variation (CV) of seed mass (CV of seed mass in outer and inner circle: 5.15%; CV of total seed mass: 8.60%) under the condition of parameter optimization were analyzed; as a result, the accuracy of the parameter optimization was confirmed.

Abstract:
To improve the efficient and precise seeding of potatoes, a novel combination vacuum and spoon belt metering device was designed. The overall structure and working principle of vacuum and spoon belt metering devices were illustrated and analyzed. The stress of the potato seed situated on the vacuum and spoon belt metering device was analyzed theoretically. The structure and parameters of the key parts of the seed metering device were studied and calculated. Three-factor and three-level response surface experiments were designed based on the Box–Behnken central composite experimental design principle. After selecting seeding speed, spoon aperture, and cleaning-seed air amount as the experimental factors and selecting missing seed index, multiple seed index, and qualified seed index as the experimental indexes, the performance of the seed metering device with high efficiency and precision was verified by the experiments. The mathematical model of the response surface was established, and the influence of each factor on the performance of the seed metering device was analyzed using Design-Expert 10.0.4 software. To improve the efficient and precise seeding of potatoes, the three experimental factors were optimized. Experimental results show that the order of the factors affecting the missing seed index was seeding belt speed > cleaning air pressure > spoon aperture; the order of the factors affecting the multiple seed index was spoon aperture > cleaning air pressure > seeding belt speed; the order of the factors affecting the qualified seed index was seeding belt speed > cleaning air pressure > spoon aperture; when the seeding belt speed was 0.43 m·s−1, the spoon aperture was 15.72 mm, and the cleaning air pressure was 2.94 kPa, the experiment had realized potato’s highly efficient and precise seeding and the missing seed index was 3.97%, the multiple seed index was 4.65%, and the qualified seed index was 91.38%. This paper can provide a theoretical and technical reference for improving the efficient and precise seeding of potatoes.

Abstract:
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to develop weights of key performance areas (KPAs) and performance indicators for public private partnerships (PPPs) in Bangladesh. Since a variety of PPP arrangements is observable, different performance measurement approaches exist in the literature. However, analysing the relative importance of indicators influencing the performance score of particular projects using the perspective of developing countries remains unexplored. Design/methodology/approach The authors’ method involves application of the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) to develop weights for eight KPAs for which 41 contributing performance indicators have been developed. In total, 68 respondents (62 per cent of the PPP practitioners in Bangladesh) participated in a structured questionnaire survey and their judgements have been found to be consistent, using consistency ratios, a geometric consistency index and one-way ANOVA test. Findings “Feasibility analysis”, “life cycle evaluation and monitoring” and “optimal risk allocation” are the most significant performance indicators in Bangladesh. “Financing” is the most important KPA, followed by “planning and initiation” and “transparency and accountability”. Interestingly, unlike the cost, time and quality measures of the public sector comparator analysis used in most developed countries, a different set of indicators and KPAs are found dominant. Research limitations/implications This suggests that performance indicators and their weights may differ for developing countries. Future research could usefully focus on testing this model in different countries and applying it to derive performance scores for individual PPPs. Originality/value An application of AHP in determining weights of the performance indicators represents a major contribution to the literature on PPP performance measurement in the developing countries including Bangladesh.

Abstract:
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to create a key performance indicator (KPI) that can be used as the benchmark tool for teaching performance and practices of both excellent teachers (ETs) and non-ETs and to investigate the possible interrelationships between the five thinking domains (teachers’ teaching philosophy, teaching objective, pedagogical content knowledge, teachers’ expectations and management style). Design/methodology/approach This study uses a quantitative approach with a sample of 306 ETs from eight states including the Federal Territory. Exploratory factor analysis was used to validate the instrument and confirmatory factor analysis for model fit. Findings The findings showed that an excellent classroom management style was the most significant domain for KPI with the highest factor loading, followed by ETs’ teaching philosophy and objectives. It revealed that there was no significant relationship between ETs’ expectations and their classroom management style and that the relationships between the other domains were weak. Originality/value With this research creating a KPI model for excellent teaching practices, it is suggested that an in-depth review should be conducted concerning the standardization of the classroom management and the national teaching objectives in Malaysia. Perhaps representatives from the Ministry of Education and the school principals could go into the field to determine whether the excellent and non-ETs are fulfilling the national education objectives and meeting the expectations. This could lead to setting KPIs for achieving teaching objectives among the ETs.

Abstract:
The increase in car market 17% in 2020, and ASEAN Free Trade policy only 5% for imported products, cause tightened competition in the automotive market. Car manufacturing companies face problems in selecting their performance indicators related to competitive challenges. The purpose of this research is to develop productivity key performance indicators in car manufacturing that conform to stakeholder requirements as a strategy to win the market. The conditions are manifested in a mapping of manufacturing symbols using the Integrated Performance Measurement System (IPMS) method. That manufacturing productivity indicators will become the focus of the top management to be controlled. There are four stages to go through, starting with the identification of stakeholder requirement, which produces six criteria and 12 stakeholder requirements and mapped into 16 goals and 24 key performance indicator (KPI). The second stage is benchmarking, and preparation of KPI hierarchy and the third stage is the description of each KPI in the form of KPI specification table. The fourth stage is the weighting of the six main criteria that result in 3 priority criteria which must be reported monthly between the manufacturing division (painting), finance and administration. Those are employee safety, manufacturing process effectiveness (painting) and waste elimination activities. The priority is obtained based on questionnaires answered by ten stakeholders (experts) processed with Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) approach and has been tested consistency in the number 0.09. These three criteria are described in 15 KPIs: performance rate, availability rate, quality rate, trained operator ratio, training value ratio> 80, delay ratio, attendance ratio, downtime losses, setup and adjustment losses, idle time, defect losses, yield losses, manpower efficiency, environmental impact and work accident ratio.

Abstract:
Abstract The practice of facilities management is rapidly evolving with the increasing interest in the discourse of sustainable development. The industry and its market are forecasted to develop to include non-core functions, activities traditionally not associated with this profession, but which are increasingly being addressed by facilities managers. The scale of growth in the built environment and the consequential growth of the facility management sector is anticipated to be enormous. Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are measure that provides essential information about performance of facility services delivery. In selecting KPI, it is critical to limit them to those factors that are essential to the organization reaching its goals. It is also important to keep the number of KPI small just to keep everyone's attention focused on achieving the same KPIs. This paper deals with the determination of weights of KPI of FM in terms of the design and use of sustainable buildings.

Abstract:
Given the paucity of actual guidance provided for managing pediatric drug therapy, prescribing caregivers must be able to draw on the limited published information in pediatrics and/or guidance provided in adults with some account for expected pediatric response. Guidance for managing drug therapy in children is clearly desirable. Our objectives were to construct key performance indicators (KPIs) for pediatric pharmacotherapy guidance to identify drugs where pharmacotherapy guidance would be most beneficial. A pilot survey to assess variation in caregiver appreciation for pediatric dosing guidance has also been constructed to provide a complementary subjective assessment. Three KPI categories, drug utilization (based on hospital admission and billing data collected from 2001 through 2006), medical need, and guidance outcome value along with a KPI composite score have been proposed. Low scores are favored with respect to prioritization for pharmacotherapy guidance. The pilot survey consisted of 15 questions to assess 1) physician knowledge regarding dosing guidance, 2) attitudes toward dose modification and patient individualization, 3) the accessibility, ease of use and appropriateness of existing data stores, and 4) frequency of dosing modification, consultation of dosing compendiums and estimate of success rate in dosing guidance. Pilot results suggest that dosing guidance is generally viewed as important and that the existing resources are insufficient to guide recommendations for all drugs. While the majority of respondents check more than one resource less than 25% of the time, at least 25% of the respondents check more than one resource 25–50% of the time. The majority viewed the relevance of dosing guidance very important to the management of drug therapy. The questionnaire is being extended to the primary care centers, the Kids First Network and specialty care centers. Results will guide the development of decision support systems (DSS) that provide patient-specific pharmacotherapy guidance as part of our pediatric knowledgebase initiative. For the top 25 most utilized agents at our institution over the last 6 years, KPI score ranged from 35 (dexamethasone) to 77 (cefazolin and ampicillin) with an average score of 55. Prototype DSS for tacrolimus and methotrexate are strongly supported by the KPI scoring which ranks their selection in the top 5% of drugs on formulary. KPI metrics provide an objective means of ranking agents for which pediatric pharmacotherapeutic guidance is clearly needed.

HighlightsThe designed precision seeder meets the agronomic requirements for on-film hole seeding.Influencing factors were found by studying the operating principle and key parameters.A response model was successfully built and verified by experiments. This study provides technical support for punching-on-film hole seeding technology.Abstract. To satisfy the agronomic requirements for punching-on-film precision seeding of peanuts, a precision hole seeder was designed in this study. The seeder can perform simultaneous functions of film mulching, film punching, pipe laying, precision hole seeding, and seed covering. The overall structure and operating principle of the device were analyzed, and its major components, including a seed-metering device, soil-covering roller, and drip irrigation pipes, were theoretically studied. To optimize the operating parameters and achieve favorable performance, a three-factor quadratic orthogonal test was performed to test the effects of the vacuum chamber pressure, advancing speed of the seeder, and height of the type hole boss on the seeding performance; the variance and range of the test results were analyzed accordingly. Through the field experiments, when the vacuum chamber pressure, advancing speed of the seeder, and height of the type hole boss were optimized to 7.5 kPa, 4.2 km h-1, 5.3 mm, respectively, the qualification index, re-seeding index, and miss-seeding index of the seeder were 92.7%, 3.8%, and 3.5%, respectively. Thus, the developed seeder satisfies the agronomic requirements, and the study results provide a technical reference for the punching-on-film precision seeding of peanuts. Abstract:
Personnel management services at enterprises are usually attributed to cost centers; specialists are assessed not by the results of the unit, but by the total results of the organization. Therefore, practitioners consider it inappropriate to develop KPI for HR services. The author is sure that diff erentiation of the results of the activities of all specialists is necessary. This article describes the practical results of the development of KPI for professionals working in HR services. The mechanism of differentiation of indicators by posts is presented. The system was developed and tested in one of Surgut’s oil and gas companies. The algorithm presented in the article will help those interested in carrying out similar work in the process of developing their own version of KPI.
