The intercalation of dimethyl sulphoxide (DMSO), pyridine (Py), ethanolamine (Ea), and Nmethyl formamide (NMF) molecules into the kaolinite interlayers led to an appreciable decrease of 3697 cm−1 of the hydroxyl band.
