A two year field experiments were conducted to determine the effect of Fe application rates on cassava performance grown in an acidic sandy soil in Nigeria. The results showed that application of iron sulphate significantly (P < 0.05) increased plant height, Fe concentration, Fe uptake and tuber yields of cassava. Cassava tuber yield response to iron sulphate fertilization followed a second-order equation, with the maximum production at Fe rate of 16.0 kg Fe ha<sup>−1</sup>.
