Abstract:
The sub-Saharan Africa region is trapped in a learning crisis with devastating implications for children. The Covid-19 pandemic further exacerbated the situation, with children losing an estimated equivalent of an additional year’s learning. Not addressing the regional learning crisis will have a detrimental impact on economic development and well-being and risks restricting future national and regional economic growth and productivity and fuelling social unrest. Education research has shown that good quality education system data, when judiciously used, can support improved learning outcomes

Abstract:
Abstract Decision theory and model-based AI provide the foundation for probabilistic learning, optimal inference, and explainable decision-making, enabling AI systems to reason under uncertainty, optimize long-term outcomes, and provide interpretable predictions. This research explores Bayesian inference, probabilistic graphical models, reinforcement learning (RL), and causal inference, analyzing their role in AI-driven decision systems across various domains, including healthcare, finance, robotics, and autonomous systems. The study contrasts model-based and model-free approaches in decision-

This rapid review was sourced from key websites and used some keyword searching whilst making an effort to filter out news and media. As systematic searching is not possible within the scope of this review, it cannot be considered a comprehensive listing of activity in the area of vaccine rollout. It is also likely that initiatives and support are occurring which are unpublished. This report should, therefore, be considered a snapshot of activity in this area. It comprises a list of what was found and cannot make assertions about inactivity based on what was not found. The question asked for ‘

Heng, Kimkong. Cambodia’s Aspirations to Become a Knowledge-Based Society: Perspectives of Cambodian University Students. Cambodia Development Resource Institute, 2023. https://doi.org/10.64202/wp.138.202305.

Abstract:
Background Cambodia envisages to become an upper-middle-income country by 2030 and a high-income country by 2050. The country also aspires to develop into a knowledge-based society (MoEYS 2014). To support these goals, it is crucial to consider the role of higher education institutions (HEIs), particularly universities, in training, research and service. However, research has shown that Cambodian higher education is faced with many challenges ranging from skills mismatches to fragmented governance to limited research capacity and stakeholder involvement (Heng and Sol 2022a; Kwok et al. 2010).
