Abstract:

Master of Science Department of Computing and Information Sciences Gurdip Singh KSU Course Reader is an android application developed for Kansas State University students to access their course materials, listen to the audio lectures, watch the video lectures and read the lecture slides or other materials from all their enrolled courses with a single application. A student can add RSS xml link associated with the courses enrolled in the current semester in the application and can receive the course materials for each course automatically after every lecture. The aim of this project is to develop a one stop android application for students to access the course materials of all their courses from their android smart phones and tablets. The project also provides a jsp form for course instructors to update the course materials for every lecture which automatically updates the xml file associated with the course. The application also allows students to add other RSS xml like K-State News, K-state Events etc. The same application can be used for adding public rss xml sites and can also be used as a podcast player. It is very essential to provide the course materials readily available to the students all the time wherever they are. Since most students have smart phones or tablets and use them for accessing emails, surf internet etc , it becomes easier for them to use this KSU course reader application to access, read or view all their course materials at one place which is also customized for mobiles and tablets. As android is one of the leading and fastest growing smart phone platforms the project becomes more appropriate to develop in android.

Einerseits wird die Rechtsnorm gem. § 84 Abs. 2 SGB IX aus arbeits- und sozialpolitischer Sicht in Form und Funktion aufgearbeitet. Andererseits wird eine manuale Strategie zur Umsetzung des BEM entwickelt, mittels derer 42 BEM-Fälle in 10 KMU begleitet werden. Nach Diskussion der theoriegeleiteten Erkenntnisse und empirischen Ergebnisse folgt ein Ausblick. Es werden Anregungen zur weiterführenden Forschung gegeben, aber auch Forderungen an die Politik formuliert, die im Handlungsfeld der Präventionsnorm bestehenden und durch die Forschungsarbeit aufgedeckten Problempunkte aufzulösen und somit einen wirksamen Praxistransfer des BEM zu ermöglichen. The research paper concentrates on Corporate Integration Management (CIM) in small and medium companies (SME). On the one hand the task consists in reviewing the form and function of the legal norm under Section 84 Subsection 2 of Book IX of the German Social Code (SGB) in terms of labour and social policies. On the other hand a manual-based strategy for implementing CIM shall be developed. Following the integration of the legally valid CIM concept with the appropriately adapted framework the manual is subjected to an empirical review. By accompanying 42 CIM cases in 10 SMEs it has been possible to show on the basis of partly standardized and open guided interviews with company experts that the introduction and implementation of CIM is markedly enhanced by means of this manual. The discussion of the theory-guided findings and the empirical results is followed by an outlook. Suggestions for further research are made while the political establishment is called upon to resolve the challenges existing within the scope of the prevention norm and revealed in the research paper thus facilitating an effective transfer of the CIM theory into the practice field.

Abstract:

Online-Kommunikation ist ein allgegenwärtiges Phänomen unseres digitalen Zeitalters. Soziale Netzwerke, Messenger-Programme und ähnliche Dienstleistungen begleiten uns alle im Alltag und werden von jungen Generationen als selbstverständlich hin- und in Anspruch genommen. Der Einzug der Moderne in kommunikative Abläufe sollte auch vor inner- und außerbetrieblichen Abläufen in Unternehmen nicht haltmachen. 2006 entwickelte McAfee sein Konzept ‚Enterprise 2.0‘. Darin beschreibt er den Einsatz von Web 2.0-Technologien in Betrieben. Seitdem versuchen Firmen sich diesem Idealbild anzunähern. Zur menschlichen Kommunikation gesellt sich zwischenzeitlich, neben Mensch-Maschine-Kommunikation, auch der intermaschinelle Informationsaustausch. ‚Internet der Dinge‘ und ‚Industrie 4.0‘ dominieren in Deutschland den Sprachgebrauch, wenn es um wirtschaftliche Belange geht. Besonders die produzierende deutsche Unternehmenslandschaft setzt große Hoffnung in den Einsatz und die Integration modernster Web-Technologien in ihre Logistik- und Produktionsprozesse. Das um den Menschen zentrierte Konzept von ‚Enterprise 2.0‘ scheint in den Hintergrund zu treten. Etwa Mitte 2014 tauchte ein neuer Begriff in den Suchmaschinenanfragen im Internet auf: ‚Digitale Transformation‘. Er scheint als Klammer zwischen allen oder zumindest vielen Konzepten rund um Web 2.0-Technologien und Sozialen Medien und deren Einsatz im Wirtschaftsleben zu fungieren. Darin eingebunden ist neben der technologischen, auch die kulturelle Komponente, die mit dem Einsatz solcher Werkzeuge einhergeht: Generationenwandel, Führungskonzepte, Technologien, Geschäftsmodellveränderungen. Diese als ‚disruptive Veränderungen‘ wahrgenommenen Ereignisse scheinen in nicht unerheblichem Maße unsere Diskussionen, privat und beruflich, stark zu beeinflussen. Die vorliegende Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit den Fragestellungen wie sich die Kommunikation und das Informationsmanagement in Unternehmen verändert sowie mit den digitalen Kenntnissen von Mitarbeitern im Umgang mit Online-Medien. Erst in den letzten beiden Jahren (2015 und 2016) werden vermehrt Studien und Veröffentlichungen publiziert, die sich mit diesen Themen beschäftigen. Wenn man einen genaueren Blick darauf wirft, dann muss aber festgestellt werden, dass es sich oftmals um Großunternehmen und Konzerne handelt, die als Beispiele genannt werden, z. B. Robert Bosch GmbH, Siemens AG, Axel Springer SE, Continental AG. Der für Deutschland wichtige Unter- und Mittelbau aus kleinen und mittelständischen (KMU) sowie Familienunternehmen scheint zu fehlen. Das ist der Grund, weshalb der Fokus dieser Dissertation auf der Beschäftigung mit den vorgenannten Veränderungen in Unternehmen aus diesen Bereichen liegt. Um ein schärferes Bild der Veränderungen hinsichtlich Kommunikation und Informationsmanagement in Unternehmen zu bekommen, wurde das Thema vom Autor mit einer explorativen Herangehensweise bearbeitet. Er führte eine quantitative Studie mit Auszubildenden und Studenten der Duale Hochschule (n = 438) durch, um deren Kommunikationsverhalten sowohl im privaten als auch im beruflichen Umfeld zu ermitteln. In einem zweiten Forschungsschritt fand eine ethnographische Feldbeobachtung in einem Familienunternehmen statt. Diese wurde mittels des Mixed-Methods-Ansatzes durchgeführt. Neben der Beobachtung erfolgte hier ebenfalls eine quantitative Studie mittels Fragebogenerhebung (n = 189). Die Dissertation liefert als Ergebnis einen Einblick in die ‚digitale Reife‘ von Unternehmen, die weder in ihrer Struktur, noch der Größe oder der Kapitalausstattung an oben genannte, medienpräsente Unternehmen heranreichen, aber zu denen gehören, die über 99 % der Unternehmen stellen und 60 % der Menschen in Deutschland beschäftigen Online communication is a ubiquitous phenomenon of our digital age. Often used by young generations as a matter of course, Social Networks, Messenger Programs and similar services accompany us all in everyday life. The advent of modernity in communicative processes should also not preclude the internal and external procedures in companies. In 2006, McAfee developed his concept ‘Enterprise 2.0’. He describes the use of Web 2.0 technologies within companies. Since then, many of them have been trying to approach this ideal. In addition to human communication, we see humanmachine communication and intermachine information exchange. When it comes to economic concerns, 'Internet of Things' and 'Industry 4.0’ dominate the language usage in Germany. The German business landscape in particular places great hopes on the usage and integration of state-of-the-art web technologies in their logistics and production processes. The concept of 'Enterprise 2.0', which is centered on the human being, seems to be set into the background. Around mid-2014, a new term emerged in the web search engines: 'digital transformation'. It seems to be a link between all or at least many concepts about Web 2.0 technologies and social media and their use in business life. In addition to the technological and cultural component involved in the use of such tools, this includes change of generations, management concepts, technologies, business model changes. These events, perceived as 'disruptive changes', seem to have a considerable influence on our discussions, both private and professional. This thesis deals with the questions on how communication and information management in companies are changing as well as with the digital knowledge of employees working with online media. It is only in the last two years (2015 and 2016) that more and more studies and publications regarding these topics have been published. If you take a closer look, these are often done with and about large companies and corporations, e.g. Robert Bosch GmbH, Siemens AG, Axel Springer SE, Continental AG. The smaller and midsized companies, the so-called ‘German Mittelstand’, which are important for Germany, seems to be missing. Because of this, the focus of this dissertation is on the abovementioned changes in companies out of this spectrum. In order to get a clearer picture of the changes in communication and information management in enterprises, the author has dealt with an exploratory approach. He conducted a quantitative study with trainees and dual university students (n = 438) to determine their communication behavior both in their private and their professional environment. In a second research step, an ethnographic field observation took place in a family enterprise. He has done this using the mixed-method approach. In addition to the observation, a quantitative study was carried out using a questionnaire survey (n = 189). The result of the dissertation provides an insight into the 'digital maturity' of companies that do not reach the above-mentioned companies represented in the media, neither in their structure nor their size or capital but which belong to more than 99 % of all the German companies that employ approximately 60 % of all working people

Cieľom diplomovej práce je nájsť výslednú hodnotu spoločnosti Mondi Packaging Békescsaba Kft. použitím výnosovej metóda DCF Entity. Ocenenie pozostáva zo 7 tematických celkov, pričom ich následnosť je na základe logickej postupnosti. Hodnotený je v prvom rade trh, na ktorom sa spoločnosť nachádza, spoločne s predpokladaným vývojom spoločnosti na tomto trhu. Následne diplomová práca pojednáva o finančnej situácii podniku. Pred finálnym ocenením venujem pozornosť tzv. generátorom hodnoty, ich charakteristike a predpokladanému vývoju v prognózovanom obdobím. Vyústením predchádzajúcich krokov je výsledný finančný plán spoločne so stanovením diskontnej miery. Posledná kapitola je venovaná záverečnému oceneniu spoločnosti.

The thesis comprises a phonological introduction followed by 4 chapters describing the units: 1) clause, 2) nominal constituant (complexe and simple), nominal base, 3) adverbial constituant, adverbe, postposition, 4) verbal constituant, (nomino-) verbal base. Each unit is considered as to its function and its structure. 1) the clause is structured: s-aux-o-v and s-v-o. Topicalisation and focalisation are described. One constituant is necessarily in focus, unless there is inherent focus. 2) as to the simple nominal constituant several sub-classes are distinguished: noun, adjective, adverbial (pro-) noun, functional noun, numeral, pronoun. Nouns, adjectives and pronous show evidence of a class system. The nominal base is characterised by very productive composition and derivation (verbal nouns). 3) the adverbial constituant is more often realised by a postpositional group than by a (nomino-) adverb. Among the adverbs some are clitic, e. G. Some of the time adverbs, which were analysed as (grammatical) tense markers in other studies. 4) the grammatical morphemes within the verbal constituant are either auxiliary verbs. . .

Aus dem Vorwort: Das vorliegende Dokument stellt einen ersten Konzeptentwurf für die Umsetzung von eGovernment im Amt für Verkehrswesen dar und dient in erster Linie als Informations- und Entscheidungsgrundlage für die Umsetzung im Brandenburgischen Landkreis Potsdam-Mittelmark. Die vorliegende Konzeption verdeutlicht gleichzeitig die Komplexität solcher Projekte. Die Autoren hoffen, dass Entscheidungsträger in Land und Kommune dieses Dokument auch als Anstoß und Anregung verstehen, neue Wege in der Umsetzung zu beschreiten. Obwohl es sich im AfV mit seinen drei Aufgabenbereichen Allgemeines Verkehrswesen, Kfz-Zulassung und Führerscheinstelle um relativ strukturierte Prozesse handelt, ist der Veränderungsaufwand - wenn man über das Online- Wunschkennzeichen hinausgehen will - enorm. Die vorliegende Konzeption stellt eine umfassende Dokumentation dar, die technische, juristische und organisatorische Aspekte verknüpft. Diese Interdisziplinarität hat eine zum Teil inkonsistente Begriffsverwendung zur Folge, die zu Gunsten einer höheren Genauigkeit bewusst in Kauf genommen wird. Es ist klar, dass eine solche Dokumentation nicht jeden Bereich bis ins Detail erfassen kann. Abstract:

The optical monitoring of the automobile passenger interior compartment is concerned with applications based on optical coverage and image processing in order to provide various functionalities. The emphases of this thesis are optical occupant state recognition and optical interior protection. The interior protection is an integral part of the car alarm system and must be able to detect unauthorized entry. A significant judgement criterion apart from the high detection rate of penetrating objects is a low false alarm rate, which should be achieved using a high spatial resolution of an optical system. Additionally the power dissipation of car alarm systems must be extremely low. This can be obtained when employing modern CMOS image sensors. The task of occupant state recognition arose from the unresolved problem of rear facing infant seat detection and Out-of-Position detection. Tragic accidents involving rear facing infant seats placed in the passenger seat have exemplified the necessity for the detection of infant seats and other critical situations. Optical occupant state recognition encompasses seat occupancy, infant seat detection, and Out-of-Position detection, which up until now have been realized separately - if at all. The critical requirements of this application are adaptability to strongly varying environmental conditions and fast response time. Optical systems for use in passenger compartment monitoring have not yet been the subject of ex tensive research. By employing cameras based on CMOS image sensors the optical stimuli within the vehicle are measured. In order to enable several applications with one system, the position of the camera(s) and the optical influences at this position are examined. In the case of the optical interior protection, algorithms have to be developed enabling the detection of the penetration of objects. Due to the restriction of low power dissipation, these algorithms should not be too complex. The integration of on-chip preprocessing and other electronic features can be combined to make CMOS image sensors power efficient. For optical occupant state recognition concepts with a low cost of computation have to be developed, which are also capable of working in conjunction with the interior monitoring. Thus a high frame rate has to be obtained with these systems. In addition algorithms are necessary that can determine the status of each respective seat. Since the optical occupancy state recognition is a security-sensitive application, additional algorithms are examined that detect very accurately (up to object recognition) the occupation state of the vehicle.

The subject of this thesis is to analyze the satisfaction of workers in two branches of KFC restaurants. The subject of study is the overall employee satisfaction in restaurant operation. Closer I examine satisfaction with interpersonal relationships at work, with the main work, with remuneration, with promotions, communication and working environment. The main objective of this thesis is to determine how employees are comfortable with the company, than to do research and propose recommendations that could address the identified deficiencies. Magistro darbo objektas – Lietuvos universitetų leidyklų veikla. Darbo tikslas – atsižvelgiant į Lietuvoje po 1990 m. įvykusius pokyčius ekonomikoje bei švietimo sistemoje, išanalizuoti Lietuvos universitetų leidybinės veiklos evoliuciją, įvertinant kiekvienos aukštosios mokyklos leidyklos veiklą ir leidybinį repertuarą. Leidyklų veikla tiriama 1991-2003 m. laikotarpiu, nes 1990 m. žymių pokyčių universitetų leidyboje neįvyksta bei nėra statistinių duomenų. Pagrindiniai darbo uždaviniai: aptarti universitetinės leidybos raidą pasaulyje ir pagrindinius jos veiklos principus; išanalizuoti Lietuvos universitetų leidyklų statistinius duomenis, nustatyti lyderius ir jų veiklos specifiką; išanalizuoti universitetų leidinius, jų repertuarą. Prieita prie išvados, kad steigiant universitetus, taip pat buvo kuriami leidybos skyriai, kurių pagrindinė paskirtis – leisti bei platinti mokslo ir mokomąja literatūrą akademinei bendruomenei. Leidyklos yra nepelno siekiančios organizacijos, gaunančios finansavimą iš įvairių Respublikos ministerijų, komisijų ir kitų rėmėjų bei universitetų biudžetų, kuriems yra pavaldžios. Kiekviena universiteto leidykla savo leidybinėje veikloje orientuojasi į aukštojoje mokykloje dėstomų studijų programų aprūpinimo literatūra bei akademinės bendruomenės informavimo ir jos narių darbų publikavimo poreikius. Dauguma universitetų leidyklų įsteigė mažas spaustuves ir įsigijo įrangą, kuri paspartino ir atpigino knygų leidybą, tačiau dalį spaudos darbų užsako... [toliau žr. visą tekstą] The subject of work – activities of the publishing offices of Lithuania – The main purpose – to examine Lithuanian publishing offices evolution evaluating each high schools practice and publications repertoire considering the changes appeared in economy and educating system in Lithuania after 1990. Publishing offices activities are studied during period of 1991 – 2003, because there wasn’t any essential shift in university publishing and there is no statistical information presented about 1990. The main purpose shall be obtained by accomplishing these tasks: to dispute about university’s publishing processes and the main principles of it’s activities in the world; to analyze statistical information of publishing offices of the Lithuanian universities, to estimate leaders and the main principles of their activities; to analyze the publications and repertoire of universities. To conclude, every established university had it’s own publishing department, which was to publish and distribute scientific and educational literature to academic society. Publishing offices are non-profit organizations, which are financed by various Republic ministries, committees and other supporters also university budgets to which they are subordinated. Most of universities publishing houses established small printing houses and obtained equipment, which made printing quicker and cheaper.
