Abstract:
The article is devoted to the analysis of the media specifics in the Khmelnytskyi region during the full-scale war of Russia against Ukraine. The topic is gaining popularity in contemporary Ukrainian journalism studies, but this is the first time that the war theme has been studied in local publications in the Khmelnytskyi region. The article reviews the mass media of the Khmelnytskyi region, identifies and summarises the common and most important features of the analysed materials, in particular, the stability of thematic priorities. Most print media devote considerable attention to the war and its events. Articles highlight the heroic deeds of soldiers, the help of volunteers, and tragic events at the front. Newspapers thoroughly analyse international news and the reaction of world leaders to the situation. It was found that local media are not limited to military topics. They actively cover social issues, the state of infrastructure, economic and cultural aspects of the region's life. The importance of criminal news and emergencies is growing. The ability of Khmelnytskyi regional media extends beyond conveying essential information; they shape public consciousness and support the community amidst the challenges of war and economic instability. The article substantiates the ability of the regional media of the Khmelnytskyi region not only to transmit important information but also to form the consciousness and support of the community in the conditions of war and economic instability. The article analyses the thematic and genre features of the regional media of the Khmelnytskyi region in the context of the Great War.It was found that the thematic priorities have stabilized but excluded some important topics, such as corruption, education, science, and reforms. It is noted that the genre spectrum remained virtually unchanged, with a large number of informational materials and limited content of analytical materials. The number of publications with signs of being paid for has not changed significantly. The evolution of the problems that arose in the work of the regional media, including the spread of incorrect advertising and pro-Russian narratives, is considered. It is proved that after the events of 2022, the media have become the main sources of information for local communities, focusing on the objective coverage of events in the region and the world; local media actively support the Armed Forces, territorial defence, volunteers, and IDPs. Changes in the thematic structure and genre distribution of materials during the war were noted, and the importance of adherence to journalistic standards and balance of opinion was emphasised.

Abstract:
The material explores the specifics of coverage of materials in the internet media "Zaxid.net". This question is relevant because journalists need to know how modern media prepare their materials, what topics they choose to cover. It should be noted that the internet media "Zaxid.net" has a distribution of sections by cities of Ukraine (by city names) and by coverage (sports, medicine, etc.). All materials are presented by journalists at a high professional level, they choose relevant topics for coverage. Some journalists like to repeat the titles of columns, take them from other publications. A good example of the great variety of headings is Internet media "Zaxid.net". Each heading interestingly covers the information. The internet media "Zaxid.net" consists of such heading: “Lviv”, “Ivano-Frankivs’k”, “Ternopil”, “Volyn’”, “Zakarpattia”, “Chernivtsi”, “Rivne”, "Economy", "Real Estate", "Auto", "Home", "Curiosities", "Leisure" and more. Headings with city names cover current information about each city. Other sections contain information on very different topics, such as life, politics, government, etc. The good example of journalists materials is an article named - "Ukrzaliznytsia has appointed a high-speed train from Kyiv to Ternopil", in which journalists said that "Ukrzaliznytsia" has appointed a branded high-speed train of the "Intercity" category on the Kyiv-Ternopil route. They also noticed that it will leave Kyiv on July 2 and Ternopil on July 3. According to the press service of Ukrzaliznytsia, the train will depart from Kyiv daily at 4:41 p.m. and arrive in Ternopil at 10:47 p.m. It will also return daily at 4:00 and arrive in Kyiv at 10:03. The train will stop in Kozyatyn, Vinnytsia region, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi and Volochysk, Khmelnytskyi region. In total, the train will run from Kyiv to Ternopil and on the way back in six hours. Another good example of journalists of "Zaxid.net" work is an article named - “Logistics during the war” in which journalists write that with the beginning of hostilities, Ukraine had to face the russian regular army. Open confrontation with Russia has become a serious challenge for country, which requires the overall consolidation and optimization of all social processes. And one of the most important points to pay attention to is the reformatting of logistics. The beginning of hostilities did not come as a complete surprise to Ukrainians and the Ukrainian authorities. It is impossible to say that everything is bad in the supply of troops and the population, but there are problems, and they are quite serious. Journalists add that - to solve them ( problems), is need not only to receive military equipment, humanitarian and financial assistance, but also to build the economy for military needs and use strengths, including a strong volunteer movement and the experience of successful business structures. Optimization of logistics is the second problem after the conduct of hostilities, which is vital for the survival of our state. So journalists-publications cover the Internet data, for information select good pictures and present materials concisely and professionally. Especially high quality and at a high professional level, journalists provide information about the war in Ukraine.

Abstract:
The purpose of the article is to analyse the current state of regional media platforms, identify development problems and justify solutions. Methodology. General scientific methods are used in the research. Among them are generalizations, comparisons, statistical analysis – to analyse views of the scientists on the current state of providing regional media platforms, identify development problems and justify solutions. Results. In the process of analysing the current state of regional media platforms development, an increase in the number of business entities in Ukraine that provide information and telecommunications services (in 2010–2018 from 55,977 to 174,622 units) was revealed. In general, the increase was due to an increase in the number of information services and computer programming, consulting and related activities. Considering the field of publishing, film production, radio broadcasting and television broadcasting, it is necessary to state the fact that during the study period, the number of subjects decreased significantly. This trend is observed due to the reform implemented in these areas. The leaders of the reform process are Kirovohrad region, where 25 out of 28 print media and editorial offices have been reformed, Zhytomyr (24 out of 28), Khmelnytsky (23 out of 27), Mykolaiv (22 out of 26), Poltava (26 out of 31), Ternopil (16 out of 21) regions. Outsiders of the reform process are Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Ivano-Frankivsk, Transcarpathian regions and the city of Kyiv. In particular, in Kyiv, according to the monitoring data, none of the 4 communal mass media was reformed, and in the Transcarpathian region, 3 out of 31 editions were reformed. The volume of sold products by enterprises of the type of economic activity “information and telecommunications” increased 3.8 times or by 200,727.1 million UAH. A significant increase in sales is observed in all areas, except for magazines and periodicals. This once again confirms our opinion that the majority of the population gets information from the Internet but not from print media. Therefore, the volume of sold products has decreased significantly. The main problems hindering the development of regional media platforms are presented. The main problems include: inadequate provision of the Internet access; low quality of traffic, content (no advertising market, no paid subscription) and fact-checking; the influence of the media founders on editorial policy; the dominance of hidden advertising. Practical meaning. These problems of media platforms will allow to form their development strategy. Prospects for further research. The study will substantiate the prospects for the development of regional media platforms in Ukraine.

Abstract:
This study explores the forced migration of residents from Kherson during the initial months of the Russo-Ukrainian war (February–April 2022). In the broader context of a significant war-induced displacement in Ukraine, the research draws upon official data, media sources, and a comprehensive sociological survey. The survey gathered responses from Kherson evacuees and comprised 421 participants. The survey encompassed three sections: evacuation details, current situations, and socio-demographic parameters. During the two months that the city had been occupied, one-third of the population left. Most Kherson evacuees (64%) found refuge within Ukraine, while 36% sought shelter abroad. In Ukraine, most migrants from Kherson were in the Odesa, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, and Kirovohrad regions. Migrants who went abroad preferred Poland, Germany, Bulgaria, Spain, Italy, and the Czech Republic. The study highlights the complexity of migration patterns. This research not only investigates the logistical hurdles faced during evacuations but also delves into the personal and demographic characteristics of the migrants. The study identifies information as a critical factor influencing migration decisions. In this dynamic, "real-time war" scenario, the findings underscore the influence of constantly evolving information and misinformation on the choices made by those fleeing conflict zones. This research provides valuable insights for government agencies and international agencies grappling with the scale of migration in conflict zones. It also serves as a unique resource for psychologists studying the psychological impact of war on displaced populations and could support investigations into war crimes against civilians. The study's uniqueness lies in its direct data collection from respondents who had recently evacuated from occupied territories.

Abstract:
In the modern world, vaccination is the most eff ective and evidence- based method of preventing the onset and severity of infectious diseases. Today, the WHO has identifi ed vaccine hesitancy as a global public health threat [25]. The social and cultural background of people infl uences their perception of vaccines, which prompted us to investigate this problem. Aim. To study the infl uence of sociodemographic factors on vaccination attitudes of children and adults in the central and western regions of Ukraine.Materials and methods. A cross- sectional study was conducted, which included a survey of the population of diff erent social status. The study was conducted in accordance with the tenets of the Declaration of Helsinki. The study protocol was approved by the bioethics committee. We also analyzed literature data from PubMed, Medscape and CSC. The work was performed within the framework of the research project 0122U000039 «Improvement of methods of diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of the most common diseases of childhood». No confl icts of interest exist.Research results and discussion. 1000 respondents were interviewed by questionnaire from Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovograd, Khmelnytsky, Zhytomyr, Chernivtsi, Ternopil, Rivne, Volyn, Ivano- Frankivsk, Lviv regions. The data obtained indicate that barriers to vaccination are caused by low awareness of vaccination, excessive negative infl uence of opinion leaders, prevalence of myths and falsifi cations about vaccination, lack of health care resources and low supply of recommended vaccines, and forced migration. Low awareness and low vaccination coverage are also associated with low awareness among health workers who do not work directly with vaccines, falsifi cation of vaccination data, and the presence of anti-vaccine health workers. The negative attitude of parents towards vaccination is also very important, as it aff ects their children.Conclusions.1. Fear of side eff ects, long-term complications, and doubts about the quality of vaccines have been identifi ed as factors in vaccine refusal.2. The most common groups of vaccine refusers are the elderly (53.3 %) and men (16.8 %).3. The high cost of vaccines that are not included in the list of mandatory vaccines is one of the reasons for the decrease in vaccination rates.4. Improved communication between the doctor and the patient is one of the factors increasing the vaccination rate among the population.5. Information about the availability of vaccines and places of vaccination, peculiarities of the post-vaccination period and information about the possible consequences of ignoring vaccination should be provided in the media (television, radio), especially among the elderly.

Abstract:
The demographic problems of rural areas are interrelated with economic, social, and even political issues. Therefore, given the relevance of the topic, the article analyzes the demographic situation in rural areas based on indicators of natural reproduction and age-sex structure of the population. It should be noted that data processing in smaller administrative entities creates advantages for monitoring positive or critical trends and reflects a more contrasting state of the demographic situation. The research article describes the differentiation of the natural population growth rate at the level of administrative raions. The map «Natural increase (decrease) rate of the Ukrainian rural population in 2018» is presented for its visual display. Characteristic interregional differences in age structure can be traced on compiled histograms. Correlation between birth rates, mortality rates, and population share in age categories: 0–15, 16–59, 60 years and older is calculated to assess the interactions of natural movement and age-sex structure. The comparison of the data of the mean and median age by regions was performed to analyze the age structure of the rural population. The balanced sex structure in settlements is both an important factor and a result of the demographic situation. Therefore, the shares of the male and female population for each age group and in all regions of Ukraine are calculated in the process of performing the practical part of the research (as of 2018). Assessment of territorial differences in the demographic burden is of great social importance. The result of the analysis of the population data set in each age group showed that the greatest demographic load exists in Chernihivska, Khmelnytska, Sumska, Vinnytska, Kyivska, Poltavska, Luhanska, Cherkaska, and Zhytomyrska regions. The obtained results of the analysis of the above-mentioned demographic parameters are summarized in the conclusions. Based on them, areas with a critical demographic situation in rural areas have been identified.Key words: rural population, age-sex structure, depopulation, natural population movement.

Abstract:
<p>The aim of the research was to study the correspondence of existing legislative and regulatory requirements of the pharmaceutical industry development, the analysis of the formation of the Ukrainian pharmaceutical market, the condition of drug assistance according to European requirements and recommendations of the WHO.</p><p>For the study archival materials, publications in scientific journals, and mass media were used, laws and provisions regulating pharmaceutical activity were studied and a survey among citizens was conducted. Systematic and logical methods, analytical and comparative analysis were applied, and own researches were performed.</p><p>For 22 years of Ukrainian statehood formation the following institutes were created: Pharmacological College, Pharmacopoeia Committee and State Service for Quality Control of Drugs which were transported to other institutes. Important laws were adopted: the Law of Ukraine «On Medicines», the Law of Ukraine «On small-scale privatization», the Law of Ukraine «On large-scale privatization» and others, which contributed to the formation and development of the pharmaceutical market.</p><p>In comparison with 1990 the amount of drugstore chains increased two and a half times and in 2013 in the country already worked 15 566 drugstores, including 3 025 in villages. Specific peculiarity of pharmaceutical market formation in Ukraine was the creation of powerful own regional and all-Ukrainian drugstore chains, that is greatly different from such situation in EU countries, where the legislation allows to have only one or two drugstores. As the result of pharmaceutical market formation the drugs nomenclature increased eight times and now makes up more than 20 000 names, including 92.4 % generic drugs. According to publications, Ukraine lacks about 40 % of drug molecules needed for medical treatment, and 30 % of studied drugs are not proved. There is the problem of uncontrollable turnover and drugs consumption in Ukraine. Self-treatment is widespread today: 82 % of Ukrainians prescribe medicines by themselves even when they feel a little unwell.</p><p>Among all examined 75 drugstores in different regions (Zakarpattya, Rivne, Khmelnytsk, Kherson etc.) people can get drugs without prescription. During 2014 the pharmaceutical market in comparison with previous year rose by 14 % and its income made up 36 billion UAH. Drug producers perform aggressive marketing and break rules of drugs advertising. Among important problems that require the improvement of legislative and regulatory base at governmental level concerning the economic drug assistance for all population groups.</p>
