Abstract:
ABSTRACTAlthough there are a number of distinct audiences (for example students, hunter and trapper organisations, and co-management agencies) for traditional environmental knowledge, little work has been done in analysing how indigenous knowledge can be best communicated to these different groups. Using examples mainly from northern Canada and Alaska, we explore the challenge of collecting and communicating different kinds of traditional environmental knowledge; the media types or communication modes that can be used; and the appropriateness of these kinds of media for communicating with different audiences. A range of communication options is available, including direct interaction with knowledge holders, use of print media, maps, DVD/video, audio, CD ROM, and websites. These options permit a mix-and-match to find the best fit between kinds of knowledge, the intended audience, and the media type used. This paper does not propose to replace traditional methods of communication with technology. Rather, we examine how technology can serve community and other needs. No single option emerges as a clear best choice for communicating indigenous knowledge. Nevertheless, various media types offer avenues through which northern people can meet their educational, cultural, and political needs, and build cross-cultural understanding.

Abstract:
Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to examine the nature of strategic corporate communication (SCC) activities and its impact in Indian service sector organizations. Design/methodology/approach – A descriptive research design was used with data obtained from 227 executives from service sector organizations. A research instrument was constructed and measures of SCC and its impact were derived through factor analysis. Findings – Multiple regression analysis led to formulation of new relationships among the variables (messages, medium and stakeholders) involved in SCC and its impact. For example, in crisis situations, messages related to identity and image were associated with greater communication impact than were other types of messages. Similarly communicating with primary stakeholders like employees and customers was more important than with other stakeholders. Among the different types of medium used in SCC, virtual medium and disclosures led to greater communication impact. Originality/value – Communication impact due to SCC was a multi-dimensional construct comprising of three kinds of impacts: communication synergy; value representation; and organizational reliability. The relationships of messages, mediums and stakeholders with different types of SCC Impact can help practitioners design and implement effective strategies of corporate communication.

Abstract:
An integral communication tool is producing a coherent message while attempting to achieve synergy among different types of communicators. By encouraging a purposeful dialogue and automatic exchange of relevant information, these kinds of tools can improve our mutual understanding, cooperation, collaboration and competitiveness. The main problem in collaboration is finding compatible partners, friends and people (with similar interests) with whom we can build long-term relationships in different fields of life, such as family relations, education and leisure. The same applies to all economic activities. The authors find a solution to this problem in the development of an integral communication tool that has the three main objectives: self-improvement, relationship improvement and qualitative improvement of collaboration. By analyzing the requirements of potential users, the authors have developed a conceptual model of an integral communication tool that explains its basic functions, subsystems and information connections.

Abstract:
Animal coloration is influenced by selection pressures associated with communication. During communication, signallers display traits that inform receivers and modify receiver behaviour in ways that benefit signallers. Here, we discuss how selection on signallers to convey different kinds of information influences animal phenotypes and genotypes. Specifically, we address the phenotypic and genetic consequences of communicating three different kinds of information: individual identity, behavioural strategy and quality. Previous work has shown signals that convey different kinds of information differ in terms of the (i) type of selection acting on signallers (e.g. directional, stabilizing, or negative frequency dependent), and (ii) developmental basis of signals (i.e. heritability, genetic architecture). These differences result in signals that convey different information having consistently different phenotypic properties, including the amount, modality and continuity of intraspecific variation. Understanding how communication influences animal phenotypes may allow researchers to quickly identify putative functions of colour variation prior to experimentation. Signals that convey different information will also have divergent evolutionary consequences. For example, signalling individual identity can increase genetic diversity, signalling quality may decrease diversity, and signalling strategy can constrain adaptation and contribute to speciation. Considering recent advances in genomic resources, our framework highlights new opportunities to resolve the evolutionary consequences of selection on communication across diverse taxa and signal types. This article is part of the themed issue ‘Animal coloration: production, perception, function and application’.

Abstract:
Business communication has become an integral part of all spheres of public life. In the process of management, communication plays a preeminent role and competence in business communication is required for successful professional activities in any field. In Administrative Management System two types of communication can be distinguished: external and internal communication. External communication occurs between the organization and external party. Internal communication is the transmission of information within the organization. The internal communication is an important element in the management of any enterprise or institution. A well-organized internal communication system is required condition for the effective operation of enterprises. The effectiveness of internal communication depends on the ability of managers and subordinates to communicate correctly at all levels. The communicative competence of communication participants require specific skills of writing different types of messages. The article deals with genre-compositional features of various types of messages that provide internal communication at enterprises or institutions: emails, administrative notes, newsletters, analytical notes, reports. Electronic correspondence is a very common means of communication at all levels: downward, ascending, horizontal. All kinds of notes are usually used as an element of downwards communication, and reports are only an element of ascending communication. The article also provides indispensable details of each type of message and samples of the formulation of these messages, and suggests recommendations for the writing of these types of messages.

Full text
Abstract:
It is commonly accepted nowadays that innovations are brought forward in an interactive process of knowledge generation and application. The business sector, the science sector, and policy actors are involved in this process as has been stressed in concepts such as innovation systems and the network approach. It is still unclear, however, as to what extent different kinds of innovation rely on specific knowledge sources and links. More advanced innovations on the one hand might draw more on scientific knowledge, generated in universities and research organizations. Such knowledge is often exchanged in personal interactions at a local or regional level. Incremental innovations and the adoption of new technologies, on the other hand, seem to occur often in interaction with partners from the business sector also at higher spatial levels. In this paper we analyze such patterns of knowledge links. After dealing with knowledge interactions from a conceptual view and reviewing the relevant literature, we present an empirical analysis for Austria. The findings show that firms introducing more advanced innovations are relying to a higher extent on R&D and patents, and that they are cooperating more often with universities and research organizations. Firms having introduced less advanced innovations rely more on knowledge links with business services. Furthermore, the employment of researchers was identified as a key factor enhancing knowledge interactions of firms with universities. (authors' abstract)

The distinction between institution types and institution tokens plays an important role in Francesco Guala’s philosophy of institutions. In this commentary, I argue that this distinction faces a number of difficulties that are not sufficiently addressed in Understanding Institutions. In particular, I critically discuss Guala’s comparison between the taxonomy of organisms and the taxonomy of institutions, consider the semantics of institution terms on different levels in this taxonomy, and argue for an alternative solution to the problem of how to reconcile reformism and realism about institutions like marriage.

Bejleri, Andi. "Parameterised session types communication patterns : through the looking glass of session types." Thesis, Imperial College London, 2012. http://hdl.handle.net/10044/1/9475.

Full text
Abstract:
This dissertation studies a type theory to guarantee communication-safety in sessions of an arbitrary number of participants, typically represented as communication patterns, of mobile processes in the context of multiparty session types— a well-established type theory that describes the interactive structure of a fixed number of processes from a global point of view and type-checks the processes through projection of the global type onto the participants of the session. Communication-safety is the property that mobile processes exchange values of the same set without deadlocking and data races. Our study introduces a programming idiom of roles— a concept that describes the nature of a communication pattern in a similar way to classes in Java and C#, offering a design on how to incorporate parameterised session types into a mainstream language. The formal model (1) preserves multiparty session types’ syntax and type-checking strategy, and (2) allows the number of participants to range over infinite sets of natural numbers, providing full computation power of programs. A series of communication patterns and real-world examples from parallel algorithms and data exchange protocols demonstrate the expressiveness and practicality of the formal model, comparing the model with the only mature implementation of (binary) session types. We proved that type preservation under reduction and communication-safety hold in the type system. The study of parameterised session types is supported by the examination of multiparty session types for synchronous communications. We extended the initial work on multiparty session types with a simpler calculus, multicast send of values and labels, a practical form of higher-order communication and a more intuitive, elegant linearity property; we proved that (a) type preservation and communication-safety hold in the type system, and (b) interactions of a typeable process follow exactly the description of the global type.

Abstract:
The methods of transmitting information may be divided as follows: direct; and, indirect. The âdirectâ method occurs when a creature transmits a signal that other creatures in its local environment can receive. Word of mouth advertising is a form of direct communication. âIndirectâ communication relays a message through the environment. This type of communication is known as stigmergy. Both word of mouth communication and stigmergy require the existence of groups of communicators. It is, however, difficult to analyse a very large number of local interactions that occur in group behaviour. A global phenomenon known as âemergenceâ arises from such behaviour. The phrase ââthe whole is greater than the sum of its partsâ normally describes emergence. In this research, we investigate how the two methods of communicating, direct and indirect (including a combination of these), result in emergent behaviour. In order to establish this outcome we employed the use of agent-based software in which we designed groups of agents to evolve over generations in response to specific situations. The manner in which these agent groups evolve is by a genetic algorithm. This is based on the consumption and collection of resources from the environment - a metric for gauging how well the population performs as a whole. For the purpose of this dissertation, we measure and examine the performance of four styles of the two methods of communication: No Communication, Word of Mouth, Stigmergic and Both (a combination of direct and indirect). We observe the fitness arising through successive generations of agents for each of the four styles and compare the results. The âNo Communicationâ style is markedly the worst performer and is âthe sum of the partsâ in terms of the definition of emergence. The âWord of Mouthâ style is marginally below the best performer but is rated well above that of âNo Communicationâ. The âStigmergicâ style is only the third best performer. Combining the direct and indirect methods yields the best result for the âBothâ style. All the communicating categories, considered âthe wholeâ in terms of the definition for emergence, outperform the âNo Communicationâ style. This demonstrates that emergence occurs when using these communication methods in groups. Keywords: Communication, Emergence, Genetic Algorithms, Group Behaviour

Stanek, Lynn Marie. "Relationship of Marital Types and Conflict Styles." PDXScholar, 1996. https://pdxscholar.library.pdx.edu/open_access_etds/5105.

Full text
Abstract:
Communication is an integral part of all relationships. The intent of this study was to discover if certain individual preferences for approaching conflict occur in a significant fashion between the partners of particular types of marriages. In addition, this study meant to better understand how conflict is perceived and responded to, in marriage and/or long term relationships. Fitzpatrick's (1977) Relational Dimensions Inventory (RDI), was used for this study to characterize three dimensions of marriage: interdependence, ideology, and conflict engagement/avoidance, resulting in the following marital types: Traditionals, Independents, Separates, and Mixed. Rahim's (1983) instrument, the Rahim Organizational Conflict Inventory (ROCI), was also used to measure five independent patterns of handling interpersonal conflict: Integrating, Dominating, Compromising, Avoiding, and Obliging. Based on prior work of Fitzpatrick (1975, 1983, 1988) and Rahim (1983), this study asked: Do conflict styles vary across marital types? Individual hypotheses examined occurrences of particular conflict styles within specific marital types. The data represent 103 couples. Data were derived from a Likert type survey instrument of Fitzpatrick's RDI and Rahim's ROCI-II, with a total of 65 questions. Chi-square and cross-tabulation were used to reveal associations between marital type and conflict style. Bonferroni procedure for multiple hypotheses was applied. Cross-tabulation did not indicate a relationship between marital types and conflict styles. One hypothesis was statistically supported. As couple level data produced few significant results, post hoc analysis at the individual level was conducted. Conflict styles were conceptually divided into concern for self and concern for other. ANOVA was run on marital type, other orientation, and satisfaction. Significant results are reported for wives.

Lavender, R. Gregory. "Polymorphic types for constructing concurrent objects and layered communication protocols." Diss., Virginia Tech, 1993. http://hdl.handle.net/10919/38440.

Full text
Abstract:
Polymorphic type abstractions are proposed for constructing concurrent objects and layered peer-to-peer communication protocols, both of which exhibit inherently asynchronous behavior. The type abstractions are shown to be both expressive and efficient in the context of a statically typed object-oriented language. Where appropriate, the utility of the type abstractions is illustrated by demonstrating their usefulness in concurrent programming using the Actor model. The results of this work have direct applicability to problems in concurrent programming, distributed systems, and communication protocol architectures. An extensible, polymorphic type abstraction for structuring concurrent method execution in a strongly typed object-oriented language is introduced. The type abstraction is called a polymorphic lambda type. A lambda type is an abstraction for a procedure that is based in part on λ-abstraction in the λ-calculus. The lambda type is a key component of a concurrent object model that allows methods defined in a class to be instantiated as lambda objects. Lambda objects are used to represent some aspect of behavior and they represent a first-class execution environment. The first-class nature of lambda objects facilitates the construction of more powerful computational abstractions, primarily those requiring 'asynchronous interaction and concurrent execution. Through a series of refinements, lambda objects are shown to be as expressive as traditional procedures with little extra cost for call setup and invocation. Concurrent objects require synchronization control. A type abstraction called a behavior set is introduced for specifying synchronization constraints in a strongly typed concurrent object-oriented language with Actor-style concurrency semantics. The behavior set abstraction offers a solution to structuring synchronization control that coexists with an inheritance mechanism, thereby avoiding the inheritance anomaly.

Humphreys-Jones, Claire. "An investigation of the types and structure of misunderstandings." Thesis, University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, 1986. http://hdl.handle.net/10443/195.

Full text
Abstract:
This thesis is based on the premise that when speaker-hearers are involved in misunderstandings, they provide analysts of talk with valuable evidence of a process which is not normally amenable to direct investigation, namely, the process of 'successful communication'. A number of scholars, working independently from different disciplinary perspectives, have begun to investigate such evidence but there has been no systematic programme of research to determine either the structural characteristics of misunderstandings or the different types of misunderstandings which could occur in everyday interaction. In order to facilitate such a programme, a corpus of one hundred misunderstandings was collected by the diary method. As a first step towards analysing the corpus a communication model was developed in order to account for the salient structural characteristics of misunderstandings. Four major integral components were identified which provide an important source of evidence for establishing (i) that a misunderstanding has occurred, (ii) the extent, course and outcome of a misunderstanding and (iii). the type of misunderstanding which has occurred. The components are both 'textual', such as utterances, and 'non-textual', such as understandings, and therefore enable the essential aspects of communication to be accommodated in the analysis. The fact that nineteen different types of misunderstandings were identified indicates the complexity of the phenomenon. The "process" analysis of the corpus and of additional data, drawn from the work of other researchers, shows that speaker-hearers are able to negotiate understanding by means of a number of devices'. In detailing these 'devices' and the inter-relationship between them, it is suggested that the correct use of'devices' and the recognition of inappropriate responses are crucial communicative skills. The majority of misunderstandings are detected and resolved because speaker-hearers draw on these skills. Nevertheless, some misunderstandings are not resolved and these data emphasize how important it is that speaker-hearers utilize the resources available to them. By specifying what these resources might be, this thesis argues that successful communication requires highly complex, structured interaction in which the monitoring of understanding is of paramount importance.

Abstract:
This purpose of this study was to examine the basic trait assumption of the Willingness to Communicate-Trait Form instrument (McCroskey & Richmond, 1985) in the university environment. McCroskey and Richmond's instrument contains only one target type. In order to test the trait assumption, an instrument was created to measure subjects' willingness to communicate with a different target type: university authority figures. The trait assumption posits that persons with a high level of willingness to communicate in one context or with one receiver type should also have a high level of willingness to communicate in other contexts and with other receiver types. It was found that subjects who scored high on the Willingness to Communicate-Trait Form also had high willingness to communicate with authority figures in all communication contexts tested (dyad, meeting, small group, public). Thus, support was demonstrated for the assumption that willingness to communicate is a traitlike phenomenon. The conceptual definition of willingness to communicate is discussed and conceptual correlates were introduced. It was recommended that future research be continued in the willingness to communicate and related communication areas.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the functioning features of precedent texts in modern media discourse. Texts by F.M. Dostoevsky, namely, fiction, journalism and epistolary heritage, served as the research material. The relevance of the study is explained by the intertextual nature of the modern media space. The article shows that along with the use of Dostoevsky's precedent texts as signs of high culture, the modern media space also actively manifests the features of the postmodern cultural paradigm. The specifics of the latter include metatextuality, irony, various kinds of transformation, e.g., in headlines, which indicates their game foregrounding. Special attention is paid, firstly, to various types of intertextuality and ways of precedent phenomena foregrounding; secondly, to their use in various media areas (advertising, urban naming) and genres (interviews, internet blogs, etc.). The problem of recoding precedent phenomena is considered against the background of the use of signs of high culture as a form of reflection of modern mass consciousness in modern media communication, which is of research interest from an axiological point of view.

In ASME 2019 International Mechanical Engineering Congress and Exposition. American Society of Mechanical Engineers, 2019. http://dx.doi.org/10.1115/imece2019-10732.

Full text
Abstract:
Abstract Integration of various kinds of digital equipment in manufacturing systems is the foundation and premise of cyber-physical systems and intelligent manufacturing. However, interfaces and datatypes of digital equipment from different vendors often differ from each other, which leads to system heterogeneity and information island problems. Heterogeneity becomes an obstacle for information integration. The key to solving this problem is the information model and the communication protocol. To solve the information integration problems among heterogeneous digital equipment, an implementation scheme based on the information model and its mapping to MTConnect is proposed and verified in this paper. First, the architecture and functions of integration of digital equipment are analyzed. Then, a general information model structure of digital equipment and the corresponding modeling rules are established, which can be used to guide the information modeling of various types of equipment. Next, the mapping rules that transform the information model to the MTConnect information model are defined. Based on the information model and model mapping to MTConnect, the digital equipment is able to integrate with other equipment or system via the mapping interface with the aid of the MTConnect protocol. Finally, the implementation of vertical integration based on the information model and its mapping to MTConnect is verified experimentally.

Full text
Abstract:
What are steps toward a preparing of ”one voice” and consistent message, which may cross cultural borders? Is it so important to start with new technologies or maybe instead of this it would be better firstly to try to be ahead of them and rethink the capacity to change culture, communication management style and implement integrated communication approach? Addressing such questions leads to the main goal of this article: to search and investigate ways of cultural borders crossing having the evident importance of integration ideas incorporation in the field of organisational communication as a reference point. In sum, the derived conclusion is related to the suggestion to think about the new kind of marginalization and two not so strictly bounded cultural types: integrated organisations and their position of winners and not integrated organisations surrounded by isolation at the same time.

Full text
Abstract:
During transports of large heavy cargo like jack-up rigs or semi-submersibles, the Motion Monitoring and Captain Decision Support system is a valuable tool to ensure a safe and economical voyage. Using the dynamic characteristics of the vessel in combination with 5-day weather forecasts and design limits like maximum accelerations at the cargo location, roll motion and/or leg bending moment, more and better information is available to the Master to choose a safe heading, speed and route. This way the best knowledge what to expect is contributing to the safety of cargo, transport vessel and crew. Besides use in heavy transport, this system is widely used on container ships, LNG carriers, all kinds of offshore vessels and many other types of floating structures. With daily communication, all important information is made available on internet to the operator’s main office, from which clients are informed with a comprehensive and concise overview of what is happening with their property. After the voyage, clients can be provided with the recorded Motion Monitoring data, which is valuable information for the lifetime assessment. The paper is presenting background information of the Motion Monitoring and Captain Decision Support system, a brief overview of methods used by the system and is describing the relations between transport vessel, main office and client and between the Transport Manual and the system. Results of two independent measurement systems are giving proof of high accuracy of the measurements. Comparison between measurements and predicted vessel response are shown and explained.

Abstract This article is a systematisation of Vectorial Tolerancing in order to show how it can be adapted to all kinds of surfaces on a workpiece. Vectorial Tolerancing provides a clear distinction between the different geometrical features size, form, location, and orientation for each surface. In Vectorial Tolerancing are location and orientation of a surface described with vectors in a Workpiece Co-ordinate System. The tolerance on the location and orientation vectors is described in the Tolerance Co-ordinate System. Only the fixed degrees of freedom are given tolerances on a surface.

Abstract:
Abstract This paper looks at class of mechanisms that change structure when erected or folded. The class includes a variety of artefacts and decorative gifts and boxes comprised of flat card creased to enable the folding or unfolding of a structure. Such a structure admits kinematics study in keeping with theory of mechanisms when the creases are treated as hinges joining card and paper panels treated as links. New horizons have been brought up in the use and mechanised manufacture of mechanisms of this kind. Here typical types are described in terms of their fundamental parts and their equivalent mechanisms. Screw system theory is brought into the analysis of mechanisms of these kinds, particularly those containing multiple loops. Different geometry and system combinations are used for the study of mobility and kinematics making use of the result from the equivalent screw systems.

Syvash, Kateryna. AUDIENCE FEEDBACK AS AN ELEMENT OF PARASOCIAL COMMUNICATION WITH SCREEN MEDIA-PERSONS. Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, February 2021. http://dx.doi.org/10.30970/vjo.2021.49.11062.

Full text
Abstract:
Parasocial communication is defined as an illusory and one-sided interaction between the viewer and the media person, which is analogous to interpersonal communication. Among the classic media, television has the greatest potential for such interaction through a combination of audio and visual series and a wide range of television content – from newscasts to talent shows. Viewers’ reaction to this product can be seen as a defining element of parasociality and directly affect the popularity of a media person and the ratings of the TV channel. In this article we will consider feedback as part of parasocial communication and describe ways to express it in times of media transformations. The psychological interaction «media person – viewer» had been the focus of research by both psychologists and media experts for over 60 years. During the study, scientists described the predictors, functions, manifestations and possible consequences of paracommunication. One of the key elements of the formed parasocial connections is the real audience reaction. Our goal is to conceptualize the concept of feedback in the paradigm of parasocial communication and describe the main types of reactions to the media person in long-term parasocial relationships. The research focuses on the ways in which the viewer’s feedback on the television media person is expressed, bypassing the issue of classifying the audience’s feedback as «positive» and «negative». For this purpose, more than 20 interdisciplinary scientific works on the issue of parasocial interaction were analyzed and their generalization was carried out. Based on previous research, the types and methods of feedback in the television context are separated. With successful parasocial interaction, the viewer can react in different ways to the media person. The type of feedback will directly depend on the strength of the already established communication with the media person. We distinguish seven types of feedback and divide them into those that occur during or after a television show; those that are spontaneous or planned; aimed directly at the media person or third parties. We offer the following types of feedback from TV viewers: «talking to the TV»; telling about the experience of parasocial communication to others; following on social networks; likes and comments; imitation of behavior and appearance; purchase of recommended brands; fanart.

Abstract:
In the current context, e-commerce has improved significantly as consumers have increased online shopping in different sectors of the economy. Therefore, the term “e-commerce” is becoming increasingly well-known and relevant for conducting business transactions. In addition, the current context of the COVID-19 pandemic has contributed to the extreme growth of e-commerce, and in the long term it will be a vital part of companies to achieve a greater competitive advantage as it offers benefits to the end consumer. However, it is important to note that there will be technological and non-technological limitations that will affect its growth. Nevertheless, the advance of information and communication technologies (ICTS) will tend to correct these limitations, consolidating the generalized increase of e-commerce worldwide. Consequently, it is pertinent that students of economics, administrative and accounting sciences, engineering, among others, expand their knowledge in e-commerce and thus be at the forefront of the different issues surrounding the digital transformation in companies and the digital economy.

Abstract:
This overview to the edited volume is structured to briefly explore the following key points that emerge in the case analysis of how women’s collective action has created changes for both women’s well-being and the implementation of the Village Law, as well as how such change has been supported by a wide range of CSOs across different contexts and sectors. First, we identify variation in the diversity of priorities and initiatives that villages have introduced as a result of women’s influence on the implementation of the Law. Such initiatives go beyond infrastructure and economic development projects (although women have also prioritised these kinds of initiatives) and traverse multiple sectoral issues in seeking to address challenges for villagers, particularly women, through village development. Second, we identify the different types of changes that are evident in the case studies that have implications for women’s everyday wellbeing, as well as their influence on structures of power, decision making and village development at the individual and institutional levels, and in broader contexts. Third, we discuss how changes have come about for rural village women and what factors have contributed to the changes that are illustrated through the case studies. This includes a discussion of how context dynamics constrain or enable women’s influence, variation in core challenges (or sectoral issues) for women, and how collective action has contributed to forging these changes as is illustrated by the case studies. Fourth, we explore the temporal dimensions of change. And finally, we explore some of the pathways by which such changes have occurred in the research areas, that being different contexts.

Abstract:
The article reviews and analyzes the promotion of Ukrainian publishing houses on Facebook during quarantine in 2020. The study’s main objective is content and its types, which were used for representing on Facebook. We found out that going live and posting a text with a picture was most popular. The phenomenon of live video is tightly connected to the quarantine phenomenon. Though, not every publishing house was able to go live permanently or at least regular. However, simple text with a picture is the most uncomplicated content to post and the most popular. Ukrainian publishers also use UGC (User Generated Content), situational content, and different contexts. The biggest problem for Ukrainian publishers is continual strategic work with social media for promotion. During quarantine, social media became the first channel for communication with customers and subscribers. Therefore promotion on the Internet and in social media indeed should become equivalent to offline promotion.

Abstract:
The article analyzes the peculiarities of the media content shaping and transformation in the convergent dimension of cross-media, taking into account the possibilities of augmented reality. With the help of the principles of objectivity, complexity and reliability in scientific research, a number of general scientific and special methods are used: method of analysis, synthesis, generalization, method of monitoring, observation, problem-thematic, typological and discursive methods. According to the form of information presentation, such types of media content as visual, audio, verbal and combined are defined and characterized. The most important in journalism is verbal content, it is the one that carries the main information load. The dynamic development of converged media leads to the dominance of image and video content; the likelihood of increasing the secondary content of the text increases. Given the market situation, the effective information product is a combined content that combines text with images, spreadsheets with video, animation with infographics, etc. Increasing number of new media are using applications and website platforms to interact with recipients. To proceed, the peculiarities of the new content of new media with the involvement of augmented reality are determined. Examples of successful interactive communication between recipients, the leading news agencies and commercial structures are provided. The conditions for effective use of VR / AR-technologies in the media content of new media, the involvement of viewers in changing stories with augmented reality are determined. The so-called immersive effect with the use of VR / AR-technologies involves complete immersion, immersion of the interested audience in the essence of the event being relayed. This interaction can be achieved through different types of VR video interactivity. One of the most important results of using VR content is the spatio-temporal and emotional immersion of viewers in the plot. The recipient turns from an external observer into an internal one; but his constant participation requires that the user preferences are taken into account. Factors such as satisfaction, positive reinforcement, empathy, and value influence the choice of VR / AR content by viewers.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the study of the Ukrainian segment of video blogging as one of the most popular types of the functioning of the modern blogosphere. The content and statistics of popular video blogs were studied on the example of YouTube channels of Ukrainian bloggers and famous journalists. Today we are witnessing the rapid development of technologies that help journalists become better, and the creators of media content to work more quickly and ensure the completeness of the information. With the help of Internet communication, new ways of disseminating information have appeared in journalism. Journalists more often create their blogs on various platforms. Blogosphere video content has become very popular among the Ukrainian audience on YouTube because today the video format is the most effective in terms of communication. The YouTube social network partially replaces television, and the variety of thematic content is ably adapted to a wide audience. The paper analyzes Ukrainian blogs managed by journalists, where they publish different content formats. Therefore, the presentation of various examples of video blogs in our work helps to understand the specifics of Ukrainian blogging at its current stage of development. After all, videos of popular people such as Michael Shchur, Yanina Sokolova, Ostap Drozdov demonstrate the peculiarities of Ukrainian popular video content. For the research, we chose those blogs that are currently relevant to Ukrainian YouTube and have their specifics and uniqueness. The main objective of a blogger is to react quickly to the flow of information because the rating of the channel being monetized depends on it. With the help of statistical data, we can conclude that the Ukrainian audience is interested in a wide range of different information. Viewers now value the independent opinion of bloggers and more often listen to it. Every important event is covered by bloggers promptly. And the format in which it is presented depends on the individual style of the author and the concept of his channel. We can conclude that the video content of the modern blogosphere is developing rapidly. This provides the audience with information for different tastes.
