The thesis provides a case study for how settler colonialism intertwined with ethnonationalism to shape social identification in the Israeli town of Kiryat Shemona. Jews from Arab and Muslim lands were categorized by Zionist nation-builders as Mizrahim and disproportionally placed on the geographic and socio-economic margins of Israeli society to Judaise territory, to prevent the return of the displaced indigenous Palestinian population and to provide cheap labour for Ashkenazi settlements. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine if muscle hypertrophy and strength gains in athletes can be equally attained through dietary protein intake versus protein supplementation. Methods: Performance measures, body composition, and blood lipids were compared in redshirt football players who completed an eleven week protocol of either protein supplementation (S, n=6, 28 grams 3x/week) versus whole food protein (NS, n=9, 8-28 grams 3x/week). Et kiralt triazoliumbasert N-heterosykliskkarben-salt (NHC) 1 har blitt fremstilt fra L-fenylalanin 2 og fenylhydrazinhydroklorid 12 i en synteserute som går over fem trinn, og med et totalutbytte på 10%. NHC-salt 1 er blitt testet som organokatalysator i en sykliseringsreaksjon mellom aldehyd 4 og keton 5. Abstract:

Prevalence of myxosporean parasites in mullets of Cochin backwaters was studied. Out of 110 fishes examined 40 (36,4%) fishes showed infection with myxosporeans. Seven species of myxosporeans, all belonging to the genus Myxobolus were recovered. Their prevalence varied from 1.8% to 16.4% individually. The intensity of infection in fishes ranged from 1 to 100. All the 7 species observed were found to be site/organ specific. No apparent pathological changes were observed on gross examination. KirBac channels are prokaryotic homologs of eukaryotic inwardly-rectifying potassium channels, which have served as models for gaining insight into the structure of eukaryotic channels. This thesis focuses on the structure-function relationship in these channels. The first part of this study concerns a novel KirBac channel, KirBac9.2, which contains a unique amino acid sequence in the place of the canonical GYG selectivity filter.
