Abstract:
Ornamentula Kisielewski, 1991 is a monospecific genus in Order Chaetonotida. The sole species, O. paraensis Kisielewsk, 1991, is a semiplanktonic gastrotrich found in a single pond in the Amazon region of Brazil. Herein we describe a new species of the genus Ornamentula, collected in a small urban lagoon in the Atlantic Forest of southeast Brazil. Ornamentula miyazakiisp. nov. resembles O. paraensis, but it shows differences in the ornamented trunk scales and spinal spines distribution, sufficient to proposte it as it’s a new species.

Abstract:
Stefan Kisielewski’s intellectual struggle with Polish communism: Stefan Kisielewski (1911–1991) a Polish novelist, composer, music critic, essayist, feature writer and a politician, was an exceptional personage in post‑World War II Poland. In his features, published in Tygodnik Powszechny since 1945, in a light, ironic and allusive way to prevent censorship, he described the Polish reality that his readers were acquainted with, in a way that revealed the real causes of the phenomena he observed. The truth was simple: the communist reality was the result of politico‑economic system that was imposed based on a Marxist theory of economy. Kisielewski’s criticism of communism was not just a matter of a keen observation and sensible conclusions; it was based on his studies of Marxism that he began before World War II. In turn, in Wilhelm Röpke’s Die Gesellschaftskrisis der Gegenwart (1942), he found an accurate characterisation of the socialist economy and an explanation for its non‑functioning. The second important reason for his criticism of communism was Kisielewski’s Catholicism, which operated as a counter‑balance to Marxism, combined with the idea of a liberal‑democratic regime. In his later years, Kisielewski criticised the social teachings of the Catholic Church, and suggested a new idea that they were based on “the theology of profit” (a prefiguration of the encyclical Centesimus Annus) as an ideological justification of the attitudes necessary for the functioning of the market economy in Poland. He even suggested the implementation of a dictatorship to avoid long parliamentary democratic procedures, and in this way to establish a quick and effective market economy on the ruins of socialism.

Stefan Kisielewski związał się z „Tygodnikiem Powszechnym” na blisko 45 lat i należał do najpopularniejszych redaktorów tego pisma. Przyjaźń jego i Jerzego Turowicza nie należała do najłatwiejszych, co wynikało nie tyko z różnych wizji roli, jaką powinien odgrywać „Tygodnik Powszechny”, ale ze swoistości Kisielewskiego. Współpracę z tygodnikiem zakończył w 1989 r., choć nie wycofał swojego nazwiska ze stopki redakcyjnej i ku zaskoczeniu wielu zaczął regularnie udzielać wywiadów telefonicznych tygodnikowi „Wprost”.

Abstract:
Artykuł przedstawia pracę pedagogiczną Julii Kisielewskiej, która jako nauczycielka i dyrektorka gimnazjum wiele poświęciła nie tylko pracy w szkole, ale przede wszystkim na rzecz szkoły. Pisarstwo Kisielewskiej o tematyce pedagogicznej rozpowszechniło projekty zmian i pozycję nowej oświaty. W okresie międzywojennym często pisała ona o potrzebie reformy szkolnictwa, o zmianach, jakie zostaną wprowadzone w edukacji, a później o ich rezultatach. Ponadto Kisielewska wskazywała, co i jak należy jeszcze zrobić, aby udoskonalić reformy, czego brakuje oświacie niepodległej Polski, a także wielokrotnie podejmowała tematy związane z reformą szkół i udoskonaleniem nauczania. Ówcześnie jej prace stały się zaczynem rzetelnego i kompetentnego dyskursu o oświacie. Obecnie można się z nich także dowiedzieć jak przebiegała reforma szkolnictwa po osiągnięciach wielu celów emancypacji kobiet.

Abstract As the managing and artistic director of Warsaw Philharmonic in 1955-58, Bohdan Wodiczko introduced an innovative programming policy which re-oriented the Philharmonic’s repertoire toward 20th-century classics and focused on the links between new music and that of other historical periods. The aim was to create a vast sonosphere of a “musical inter-age” (S. Kisielewski after M. Wańkowicz) encompassing radically different styles and genres and significantly transforming the axiology of the musical art. Wodiczko’s novel programming, though largely concentrating on the already waning neo-Classicism, laid the foundations for the phenomenon of the Warsaw Autumn and was a harbinger of the political-cultural thaw that would come after October 1956. This paper examines Wodiczko’s programming revolution in its political context, as well as the critical reception of Warsaw Philharmonic concerts, with particular emphasis on the aesthetic disputes arising around those composers whose works provoked the greatest controversies: Igor Stravinsky and Carl Orff.

Abstract:
Artykuł przedstawia sylwetkę twórczą zapomnianej publicystki, nauczycielki, krytyczki literackiej Julii Kisielewskiej tworzącej na przełomie XIX i XX wieku. Przedstawione zostały najciekawsze fakty z życia i przypomniana twórczość, z podziałem na cztery kierunki: historyczny, pedagogiczny, feministyczny i krytykę literacką. Julia Kisielewska była promotorką Stanisława Wyspiańskiego i Elizy Orzeszkowej. Jako pierwsza pisała o Wyspiańskim na łamach największych czasopism naukowych. Była zafascynowana twórczością i postawą feministyczną Elizy Orzeszkowej. W związku z tym sama zaangażowała się w pracę na rzecz kobiet. Jest autorką ponad stu pięćdziesięciu publikacji w czasopismach naukowych, a także autorką podręczników do nauki historii w szkole średniej. Obecnie jest postacią zapomnianą pomimo ciekawej biografii i obfitej pracy.

Abstract:
Some taxonomic and nomenclatural remarks concerning freshwater species of Gastrotricha Chaetonotida are presented. In the family Chaetonotidae, the subgenus Chaetonotus (Hystricochaetonotus) is synonimized with the subgenus C. (Chaetonotus sensu stricto). The genus Lepidochaetus is moved to a subgeneric rank into the genus Chaetonotus, and the subgenus Nudichaetonotus Schwank, 1990 is synonymized with C. (Lepidochaetus). Chaetonotus (Lepidochaetus) brasilianus is proposed as a replacement name for Chaetonotus brasilense Kisielewski, 1991, which has become a secondary junior homonym of Chaetonotus brasiliensis Schwank, 1990. Emended diagnoses of the genus Chaetonotus and of the subgenera C. (Chaetonotus sensu stricto), and Chaetonotus (Lepidochaetus) are given. The 3 subgenera of the genus Ichthydium introduced by Schwank (1990) have not been introduced in the present list. In the family Dasydytidae, the subgenus Dasydytes (Setodytes) is synonymized with the genus Setopus. Six new species by Schwank (1990) (Aspidiophorus ontarionensis, Chaetonotus (C.) furculatus, Chaetonotus (Zonochaeta) annae, Ichthydium malleum, Lepidodermella forficulata and Dasydytes (Setodytes) lemnicola) are nomina nuda. An updated list of the reliable world freshwater species of Gastrotricha is reported.
