Abstract:
Kissing bugs readily enter homes in the Sonoran Desert and bite the residents. Their saliva is highly antigenic, causing local and systemic skin reactions and life-threatening anaphylaxis. We attempted to determine what characteristics of homesites may have contributed to home intrusion by kissing bugs. Extensive and detailed information about the homes and the home environment was collected from 78 homeowners in Tucson who suffered kissing bug intrusions. Homeowners collected 298 Triatoma rubida in and around their homes. Of the homes entered by kissing bugs, 29 of 46 (63%) contained bugs har

Abstract:
Triatoma infestans, known as the kissing bug, is one of the main causes of Chagas disease in the South American. Due to the parasite secreted by this species, many protection studies have been carried out by the World Health Organization. However, it has been determined that the conservation efforts are not model-based and at a sufficient level. This study was carried out to determine the effects of changing climate conditions on the kissing bug on a global scale. MaxEnt was preferred as the modelling method and Chelsa V2.1. was preferred as the climate variables. Kissing bug is in the “good”

Abstract:
Employing an auto-ethnographic approach this thesis combines a number of different research traditions in the social sciences to consider what is gay sex and homosexuality in the Vietnamese context. Using auto-ethnographic narrative I tackle the sensitive and culturally imbedded subject matter via a personal journey presented as a memoir. The memoir is not about describing sex and labelling the other through the lenses of Western understandings of this phenomena; rather it is an attempt to address how these aspects of life play out in non-Western settings while considering the ramificat

Abstract Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) is widely used as a treatment for ischemic heart disease. In particular, a high procedural precision of PCI for the left main coronary artery (LMCA), which supplies coronary artery blood to large amount of myocardium, is required. The restenosis after stent placement and target lesion revascularization of side branches (SB) is still a clinical issue. Regarding the stent implantation for bifurcation or trifurcation lesion, the stent struts should jail the inlets of SB. In such a situation, we clinically do the kissing balloon technique (KBT) to
