Abstract:

Kista dermoid merupakan massa kistik subkutan yang terdiri dari epitel dan struktur adneksa. Secara histopatologi terdiri dari tiga jenis yaitu kista epidermoid, dermoid sejati dan teratoid. Kista teratoid merupakan variasi jarang dari kista dermoid. Kista teratoid timbul dari diferensiasi ektodermal sel multipotensial sepanjang proses fusi embrionik. Kista ini lebih sering terjadi pada laki-laki pada usia dekade kedua dan ketiga. Kista dapat terjadi di seluruh tubuh. Dilaporkan kasus seorang laki-laki usia 49 tahun dengan benjolan di leher yang membesar secara perlahan sejak 1 bulan dan hasil Computed Tomography (CT) Scan tiroid dan leher dicurigai sebagai kista tiroglosus dan didiagnosis banding dengan kista dermoid. Dilakukan penatalaksanaan dengan eksisi kista dalam anestesi umum dan dilakukan pemeriksaan patologi anatomi dengan hasil kista teratoid. Kista teratoid dapat berkembang di bagian tubuh manapun, namun sangat jarang pada kepala dan leher. Jika kista teratoid dapat terdiagnosis lebih awal dan ditatalaksana dengan eksisi kista secara komplit, maka prognosisnya lebih baik. Dari ketiga variasi kista dermoid, hanya kista teratoid yang dapat mengalami perubahan kearah keganasan.Kata kunci: eksisi kista, histopatologi, kista teratoid

Abstract:

Penyakit Kista Ovarium umumnya hanya dapat menyerang kaum wanita setelah berumur 25 tahun keatas kurangnya pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai gejala-gejala dari penyakit kista ovarium inilah yang menjadi masalahnya maka dari itu disini penulis membuat sistem pakar diagnosa penyakit Kista Ovarium dengan Metode Forward Chaining yaitu dimana pasien melakukan konsultasi dengan cara menjawab beberapa pertanyaan yang berkaitan dengan gejala Kista Ovarium dan pasien menjawab pertanyaan sesuai dengan gejala yang dirasakan oleh pasien. Sistem pakar ini dibuat dengan menggunakan Bahasa Pemrograman PHP dan Database Mysql. Diharapkan dengan adanya sistem pakar diagosa penyakit Kista Ovarium ini nantinya dapat memudahkan pasien dalam berkonsultasi mengenai penyakit Kista Ovarium ini dan dapat menambah pengetahuan bagi sipasien. Abstract:

`Kiowa' is the eighth in a series of erect-growing, high-quality, productive blackberry cultivars developed in the breeding program of the Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station. Large fruit size is the most outstanding characteristic of `Kiowa', with fruit size usually 30% heavier than `Shawnee'. `Kiowa' has generally been less productive than `Shawnee' but similar in productivity to `Choctaw'. First picking of `Kiowa' is usually 3 days later than that of `Shawnee'. The harvest season for `Kiowa' is long, with fruit commonly ripening over a 6-week period. Fruits of `Kiowa' are firmer than `Shawnee' and `Choctaw'. Plants of `Kiowa' are not as vigorous or erect as are plants of `Shawnee', although row establishment has been good using either plants or root cuttings.

Abstract:

Impaksi gigi merupakan kondisi gigi tidak dapat tumbuh ke rongga mulut, dan masuk ke lengkung rahang. Kista dentigerous adalah kista di sekitar mahkota gigi yang terbentuk pada gigi belum erupsi. Kista dentigerous pada gigi belum erupsi terbentuk apabila di dalam lapisan epitel email yang tereduksi menumpuk cairan. Kista ini dapat menumpuk di antara epitel dan mahkota gigi yang belum erupsi. Laporan kasus ini bertujuan untuk memperlihatkan perubahan dari lesi pre-kista yang tidak dilakukan perawatan menjadi kista dentigerous dalam jangka waktu dua tahun setelah pasien melakukan perawatan gigi rutin pertama. Kasus ini pada pasien perempuan, berumur 19 tahun dengan keluhan terdapat gigi yang tidak tumbuh pada rahang atas dan terasa berjejal. Pasien ingin dirapikan giginya untuk alasan estetika. Hasil pemeriksaan radiograf panoramik ditemukan perkembangan lesi secara tidak sengaja. Dari radiograf rutin panoramik, terlihat gigi impaksi dengan gambaran lesi prekista dentigerous pada bagian mahkotanya. Dua tahun setelah perawatan pembersihan karang gigi dilakukan radiograf oklusal, terlihat lesi tersebut membesar dan telah berubah menjadi kista dentigerous. Erupsi gigi yang terlambat atau adanya impaksi pada gigi dapat menyebabkan penumpukan cairan di dalam lapisan epitel email gigi. Kista dentigerous dapat terbentuk karena ada cairan yang menumpuk di antara epitel dan mahkota gigi. Pertumbuhan kista yang lambat dan tidak adanya gejala penyerta menyebabkan kista ini baru terdeteksi dari pemeriksaan radiograf rutin.

Abstract:

Kista arachnoid ekstradural di tulang belakang merupakan kista yang langka dan jarang sebagai penyebab kompresi sumsum tulang belakang dan kista ini paling sering terjadi pada bagian tengah dan bawah dari tulang belakang. Kista arachnoid paling sering terjadi pada bagian tengah dan bawah tulang belakang 65%, di lumbar dan lumbosakral sebanyak 13 %, torakolumbalis 12%, dan sacrum 7%.Penyebabnya belum ditentukan secara definitif, kemungkinan besar karena kongenital dan beberapa penelitian mengatakan bahwa kista ini dapat disebabkan oleh trauma, infeksi, atau peradangan.Kista arachnoid dikategorikan menjadi tiga tipe, tipe I (IA dan IB), tipe II dan tipe III. Terapi yang disarankan pada pasien asimptomatik adalah observasi sebagai terapi konservatif. Sedangkan terapi pembedahan eksisi kista secara utuh direkomendasikan untuk pasien dengan kerusakan neurologis yang berat, serta dilanjutkan dengan obliterasi pedikel komunikan dan repair watertight defek dural untuk menghambat mekanisme ball-valve. Dilaporkan satu kasus Seorang pasien perempuan berumur 46 tahun dengan keluhan utama nyeri punggung sejak 6 bulan sebelum masuk rumah sakit, dan dari hasil pemeriksaan penunjang berupa MRI didapatkan adanya Kista Subarachnoid Thorakal 12, dan pada pasien ini dilakukan tindakan operasi berupa unilateral laminectomy dan foraminectomy.

Pengawetan kista basah Aftemia salina berasal daritambak garam rakyat Madura telahdilakukan dengan cara merendamnya dalam larutan garam 250 ppt pada suhu kamar selama satu bulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa daya tetas kista awetan berkurang menjadi 41,0 o/o dibandingkan kista basah sebelum diawet yaitu 55,9%.

Walupun demikiantidak menutup kemungkinan untuk menjadi tumor ganas atau kanker Beberapa faktor yangdapat meningkatkan risiko kejadian kista ovarium diantaranya faktor genetik, paritas, statusekonomi, status gizi dan anemis serta penggunaan bahan kimia. Tujuan penelitian untukmengidentifikasi faktor risiko kejadian kista ovarium pada wanita usia reproduksi di RSIAKasih Ibu Tegal.Jenis Penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian survey desktiptif dengan pendekatan crosssectional. Pengambilan sampel secara keseluruhan (sampling jenuh). Pengumpulan datapenelitian dengan dokumentasi data rekam medik ruamah sakit. Analisis data secara univariatberdasarkan nilai frekuensi dan peresentase variabel penelitian.Hasil penelitian diketahuifaktor risiko ibu dengan frekeunsi dominan pada kejadian kista ovarium yaitu multipara, usia20-45 tahun, anemia ringan sebesar 11 ibu (42,3%); dan berat badan < 50 kg sebesar 7(26,9%).

Abstract:

Syftet med detta projekt är att bygga ett lokalt nätverk åt företaget Summit i stadsdelen Kista utanför Stockholm. Det lokala nätverket ska ha möjlighet att nyttjas av minst 400 kunder och det ska samtidigt vara stabilt och säkert. Projektarbetet startades med en förstudie där jag tog fram viktig information kring olika metoder som kan användas för att bygga nätverk. Under projektets gång har jag valt ut lämplig hårdvara efter min kravspecifikation, konfigurerat hårdvaran och dokumenterat nätverket efter hur det är uppbyggt. När jag var klar med konfigurationen och dokumentationen av nätet installerade jag allt på plats i byggnaden. Resultatet av projektet var en stor succé med ett fullt fungerande nätverk och med alla dess krav uppfyllda. Kraven handlar om allt från hastighet på nätverket till hur nätet är uppdelat för bästa säkerhet kring känslig data.
The purpose of this project is to build a local area network for Summit, a company in Kista outside the city of Stockholm, which is also for the use of their customers. The aim was that the local area network should be usable by at least 400 customers simultaneously and that the LAN should be both reliable and secure. I began the project with a pilot study where I researched different methods I could use to help me build the network. Over the course of the project I chose hardware that was suitable for the network’s needs; I configured it; and I documented the whole network. When I was finished with the configuration and documentation I installed the whole network in the building. The result of this project is a huge success as a fully working local area network. I also managed to implement all the network’s needs described in the specification: everything from the network’s speed to how the network is segmented for the most secure way of handling sensitive data.

Abstract:

Allt högre krav ställs på en vetenskapligt grundad praktik inom det sociala arbetet, en så kallad evidensbaserad praktik. Studiens syfte är att undersöka evidensbasering i det sociala arbetets praktik. Detta uppnås genom en undersökning av arbetsmetoder och synen på evidensbaserat arbete hos fältassistenter verksamma i Rinkeby-Kista stadsdelsförvaltning. Studien genomförs med hjälp av intervjuer vilka analyseras tillsammans med olika dokument och ställs mot det teoretiska ramverket. Dokumenten utgörs av en populärvetenskaplig artikel och två arbetsplatsannonser samt skriftlig information från fältassistenterna. Författarna utgår därmed ifrån en kombination av olika sätt att inhämta kunskap. Det teoretiska ramverket utgörs av Socialstyrelsens modell för evidensbaserat arbete och tillämpad teoretisk litteratur gällande evidensbasering, socialt arbete och fältarbete. Studiens resultat visar enligt författarna att det råder en osäkerhet kring evidensbegreppet bland de fältassistenter som ingår i undersökningen. Detta leder till att den evidensbaserade praktiken till stor del utförs utan en professionell medvetenhet.
Increasingly high demands, in western welfare states, are placed on a scientifically based social work practice; a so-called evidence based practice. The aim for the study is to investigate evidence based social work practice. This is achieved through a study of the work methods of detached youth workers from Rinkeyby-Kista district administration in Stockholm and their view on evidence based social work. The study is conducted using interviews which together with various documents are analyzed and set against a theoretical framework. The documents consist of a popular science article, two job advertisements and data from detached youth workers. The authors thus use different methods of collecting data. The theoretical framework consists of the National Board model for evidence based work and applied theoretical literature regarding evidence based practice, social work and outreach work. The results demonstrate that there is uncertainty about the concept of evidence based practice among detached youth workers included in the survey. This furthermore leads to an evidence based practice which is largely carried out without a professional awareness.

Abstract:

Tiivistelmä. Laadullisessa tutkielmassani tutkin suomalaisia kissaan liitettyjä käsityksiä yhteiskunnalliselta tasolta tarkasteltuna. Tutkimusaineiston olen kerännyt haastattelemalla sellaisten yhteiskunnallisten tahojen edustajia, joiden näkemysten huomioiminen tuo kissan asemaan liittyviä näkökulmia monipuolisesti esille. Nämä tahot ovat eläinsuojelutaho, viranomaistaho ja luonnonsuojelutaho. Eläinsuojelutahon edustajat koostuvat löytökissojen parissa toimivista henkilöistä, viranomaistahon edustajat ovat eläinlääkäreitä ja luonnonsuojelutahon edustajat ovat luonnonsuojelujärjestöissä toimivia henkilöitä. Hyödyntämällä kehysanalyysiä teoreettismetodologisena apuvälineenäni olen tulkinnut aineistosta kolme selitystapaa, eli kehystä, joiden avulla kissan asemaa voidaan ymmärtää ja selittää. Nämä kehykset olen nimennyt historialliseksi kehykseksi, taloudellisen arvon kehykseksi ja luonnonsuojelun kehykseksi. Lisäksi olen etsinyt tutkielmassani keinoja, miten kissan asemaa voitaisiin parantaa. Käytin analyysissäni ihmistieteellisen eläintutkimuksen, kriittisen eläintutkimuksen ja kapitalismin kritiikkiin liittyviä teorioita. Tutkielmassani analysoin, että kissan heikkoa asemaa selitetään historiallisilla selitystavoilla hyödyn näkökulmasta tai kissan lajityypillisten piirteiden avulla. Käsitys kissasta helppona lemmikkinä liittyy sen pieneen taloudelliseen arvoon. Kissan asema ei näyttäydy selkeänä lakisääteisesti ja tämä korostuu puhuttaessa kissan negatiivisista vaikutuksista luontoon. Kissan asemaa parantavat keinot ovat linkitettävissä kehyksiin. Ne käsittävät valistuksen ja tiedon lisäämisen, ihmisten asenteiden muutoksen sekä lain merkityksen ja yhteiskunnallisen vaikuttamisen korostamisen. Tutkielmani havainnollistaa, että kissaan liitetyt käsitykset ovat tapauskohtaisia ja tulkinnanvaraisia. Kissojen aseman parantamiseen on kuitenkin monia keinoja. Tärkeintä on ottaa kissan pohtiminen vakavasti yhteiskunnallisen keskustelun ja toiminnan avulla.Abstract. In this qualitative thesis, I have studied what kind of views there are about cat from social perspective. I have collected the research material by interviewing representatives from social organizations whose opinions about the role of cat in society can bring up diverse views. These organizations are animal welfare organization, authority and environmental protection organization. The animal welfare organization includes people who volunteer with rescue cats, authority means veterinarians and the environmental protection organization representatives are people who volunteer in environmental protection organization. I used frame analysis as a theoretical and methodological tool to analyze three frames how one can understand and explain the position of cat. I call these frames historical frame, frame of economic value and frame of environmental protection. Besides this I also wanted to find out how the status of cat could be improved. In my analysis I used the theories from human-animal studies, critical animal studies and critique of capitalism. I analyze that historical explanations, which are linked to the benefit perspective and the species-specific perspective, explain the low status of cat. Understanding of a cat as an easy pet is related to the economic value. The status of cat is not clear in law and this is highlighted while discussion about the negative effects on environment. The solutions for improving the status of cat are linked to the frames. The solutions include education and increasing knowledge, changing people’s attitudes and the importance of law and the increasing of public influencing. My thesis shows that the views about cat are case-specific and ambiguous. There are still many ways to improve the status of cats. The most important thing is to include the thinking of cat seriously with public discussion and action.

Abstract:

The current field of research concerning the impact of railroads in Sweden beside from the State main-line network is relatively narrow. Including cultural impact to the area narrows the results even further. The purpose of this study is to open the field even more into the local societies and to what extent the impact of the introduction of railroad might have had on smaller county villages. Sweden holds a unique position concerning “station towns” or “railways towns” in terms of railway policy and the industrial development in towns that were affected by the railway, as the affected towns continued development were based on a hybrid between direct democracy and adaptations of city-law policies. This study takes place in Kisa, a small town in southern Östergötland that during the beginning of the 20th century turned into a municipal community due to the building of Östra centralbanan (roughly translated Eastern central-line). The aim has been to apply and compare earlier results concerning station towns in general research with local research on the town of Kisa.The tools for investigating the impact of the railroad in Kisa include demographical, industrial and criminal development of the town. Local letters sent to the district moot, in Swedish termed as kommunalstämma, as well as an insight to the local newspaper are also presented in this study. The conclusions of this study approves in many forms to the results of earlier research, but also opens questions for further research regarding the interacting relationship between sociology, voluntary sector and cultural differences in the early industrial station towns.

Abstract:

This study explains the process of how Kista bibliotek, a library in Stockholm, evolves from being an idea to a running activity. The library is created in a time of change, both political and economical and is supposed to meet many different goals set from many different actors. The library is placed in one of Stockholm’s biggest shopping centres, Kista galleria and close to Kista science city which is an important midpoint for international businesses and science. Kista is also an area of segregation and socioeconomic problems and the library want to connect the different ‘worlds’ and together; the local people, businesses and the community create an environment which to be proud of. With new institutionalism as theoretical frameworks and with the use of qualitative interviews and unobtrusive observations, this paper shows how the original idea transforms throughout different levels of the organization. How the library evolves to be both traditional and progressive, how it meets the needs of the locals and work with the commercial environment to fulfil their mission to be a public place in the middle a commercial shopping centre. This study portrays a picture of a library which is moves between different organizational fields, between the private and public sector to achieve the goal of being a modern library in a modern world.

Abstract:

The story of Joseph (in the Bible), Yusuf (in the Quran), has inspired literatures in many languages. This paper explores how some Swahili writers and translators have dealt with this inspiration, the implications for their language use and the way they have interpreted Yusuf as a theme for their writings. After a brief introduction on the importance of the story itself and putting the focus on a major theme of the plot, the following works are discussed: the new Quran translation by Sh Ali Muhsin (1995), a short novel by Mzee Salim A. Kibao (1975), two short stories by Amur bin Nasur il-Omeiri (1894), the utenzi Qissat-il Yusuf (l913) and Abdulrazak Gurnah\'s English written novel Paradise (1995). The paper concludes with the observation that in analyzing how these Swahili writers have integrated the story of Yusuf in their writings, prose as well as poetry, it becomes clear that attempts in defining what is ‘foreign’ (or ‘Oriental’) and what is ‘indigenous’ (or ‘African’) are bound to fail.

Abstract:

The Bell OH-58 Kiowa helicopter was first introduced in 1969 and has undergone several retrofits to the present OH-58D Kiowa Warrior (KW) model. The KW has become heavily loaded with electronics for communications, weapons and sensors to enhance its overmatch capability against the enemy. However, the ability to cool the heating load of these systems is being stretched thin, especially in current hot operational environments. As a result, electrical component failure has resulted in reduced operational availability and extended maintenance periods. This paper presents a theoretical study performed by cadets and faculty at the U.S. Military Academy, in support of a request by Army PEO Aviation to explore alternatives. The thermal and flow characteristics of the current KW electronics bays are analyzed to identify weaknesses and potentials for quick retrofits. Several novel solutions are proposed and assessed, including redirection and enhancement of the flow, as well as cooling of the intake air or direct cooling of the electronics through mechanical, thermoelectric, evaporative and heat pipe methods.

Abstract The 4-year European project ATLAS+ (Advanced Structural Integrity Assessment Tools for Safe long Term Operation) was launched in June 2017. One of its objectives is to study the transferability of ductile material properties from small scale specimens to large scale components and validate some advanced tools for structural integrity assessment. The study of properties transferability is based on a wide experimental program — within the framework of work-package 1 (WP 1) — which includes a full set of fracture experiments conducted on conventional fracture specimens and on large scale components (mainly pipes). Three materials are considered in the program: a low-alloy ferritic steel 15NiCuMoNb5 (WB36) typical from feedwater line in German PWR, an aged austenitic stainless steel weld typical (narrow gap) from EPR and a typical VVER austenitic stainless steel dissimilar weld (DMW). Several European organizations are involved in the experimental work: EDF, CEA, Framatome, ARMINES, KIWA, Framatome GmbH, VTT, BZN, MTA-EK, and CIEMAT.

Abstract:

This paper summarizes the design calculations performed by Framatome, EDF, KIWA INSPECTA and VTT for three large scale tests on ferritic pipes made of material WB 36 (15 NiCuMoNb 5). The large scale tests will be performed on a 4-point bending test facility provided by EDF under displacement control at room temperature. The overall goal of the planned large scale tests is to demonstrate the effect of the crack tip constraint on the fracture toughness at the component level. Results of those tests will be utilized to develop and validate advanced tools for structural integrity assessment within WP 3 particularly with respect to the transferability of material properties from small scale specimens to large scale components as well as for the development and validation of a procedure for the determination of component fracture resistance curves. Three configurations of the initial defect with different constraint conditions (one through-wall and two surface cracks) are considered. The design calculations are divided into two parts. In the first part an optimization of three different crack shapes is performed on basis of the standard fracture mechanics approach (based on J-Integral) without consideration of the constraint effect. In the second part a quantification of the crack tip constraint for the selected crack configurations from part I is performed. The effect of the constraint on the crack initiation and propagation for the selected crack configurations shall be assessed and compared between each other. Based on these calculations the final flaw configuration for each large scale experiment is selected.

Abstract:

Abstract This paper will assess the capability of the shear modified Gurson model developed by Nahshon and Hutchinson which is used by Kiwa Inspecta within the ATLAS+ project. This is done by comparison to experimental results from SENT fracture tests performed by EDF and ARMINES. The procedure for parameter identification for the standard and shear modified Gurson model is also summarized. The work presented in this paper is part of Work Package 3 within the ATLAS+ project. WP3 focus mainly on ductile tearing predictions for large defects in components. Models exists to accurately predict ductile tearing and to consider phenomena such as stress triaxiality effects. These advanced models include local approach coupled models or advanced energetic approaches. However, there is a need to validate these models for use in industrial applications. This will be done within the ATLAS+ project by predicting the results of the large scale component tests where input to the models are given from small size laboratory specimens. Within the paper a description of the shear modified Gurson model is given, as developed by Nashson and Hutchinson [1]. Furthermore, the procedure in determining the material model parameters is discussed. To determine the material parameters for the shear modified Gurson model a uniaxial tensile test, a fracture test and shear tests are used. The material that is used is the ferritic steel WB 36 (15 NiCuMoNb 5) which will be used for the large scale component tests within the ATLAS+ project. The procedure is also evaluated by comparing predictions done with the shear modified Gurson model to experimental results from SENT specimens performed by EDF and ARMINES. A comparison of the capability in predicting the ductile tearing in the SENT experiments between the standard Gurson model and the shear modified Gurson model is also presented within the paper.
