This thesis explores the communication of health knowledge among new parents in Sweden. Based on three separate studies, the thesis employs a selection of theoretical concepts and methodological approaches, mainly originating from mediated discourse analysis and linguistic anthropology. Study 1 takes a broad view on the object and asks how knowledge circulates and emerges in a particular arena for parental knowledge. Drawing on nine months of online fieldwork on a discussion forum thread for expectant parents, the study shows that communication of knowledge is engendered by entextualizations a

However, methods have sometimes been overused in the sense that the code encapsulated refers not only to how the operation is implemented but also to other kinds of knowledge that is implicit in the code. The question of whether or not school makes a difference in preparing students for democratic citizenship has been debated for a long time in political science and curriculum studies. These discussions are mostly based on the results of international surveys measuring students’ political attitudes, values and participation. Abstract Many end users and specifiers are knowledgeable of the basic construction of dual laminate vessels but not all are knowledgeable of the sequential steps necessary to fabricate dual laminate vessels. Fabrication is the art and science of making a joint in any material. Dual laminate fabrication requires joints to be made in two different materials for one end product. By understanding the fabrication sequence, better decisions can be made in the placement of orders, quality control, inspections, and deliveries of dual laminate vessels.
