Abstract:

Handel och dess konsekvenser för samhället är ett omdiskuterat ämne inom såväl den ekonomiska forskningen som inom den politiska debatten. Diskussionen utgörs av starka motsättningar och bristen på konsensus riskerar att leda till felaktiga politiska beslut. Alltfler handelsavtal implementeras och utvecklingsländers roll på den globala marknaden blir allt större. Det är således av ökad betydelse att utreda handelns faktiska konsekvenser. Syftet med denna studie är därför att analysera hur handel påverkar den ekonomiska ojämlikheten i utvecklingsländer. Studien utgår från hypotesen att en ökad handel leder till en minskad ekonomisk ojämlikhet vilket är i enlighet med klassisk nationalekonomisk teori. Studien utfördes genom en ekonometrisk analys där en paneldataregression på 41 länder över 23 år skattades. Gini-index användes som beroendevariabel, medan handelsflöde samt sju kontrollvariabler utgjorde förklarande variabler. För att minska risken för heterogenitet i urvalet begränsades de studerade länderna i huvudsak till forna europeiska kolonier med kust. Resultatet från studien indikerar att en ökad handel leder till en minskad ekonomisk ojämlikhet. Resultatet bör dock beaktas med försiktighet med anledning av statistiskt icke-signifikanta effekter. Studien finner dessutom att förekomst av korruption är av betydelse när sambandet mellan handel och ekonomisk ojämlikhet undersöks.
The impacts of trade on the society are a common subject of debate, both in the research field of economics and in the political debate. The lack of consensus poses a risk in political decision-making. New trade agreements are being implemented while the role of developing countries is growing on the global market. Hence, there is an increasing importance of examining the actual impacts of trade. This study, therefore, analyses the impact of trade on the economic inequality in developing countries. This study hypothesizes that trade decreases inequality, which is in accordance with classical economic theory. Using a panel data regression on 41 countries over 23 years, this study examines how Gini index interacts as the dependent variable with trade flow and seven control variables. The countries studied are mainly limited to former European colonies with coastal lines to reduce the risk of heterogeneity within the sample. This study finds that trade reduces inequality, although the result should be interpreted with care due to statistically insignificant effects. This study also finds that presence of corruption is of importance when the relationship between trade and inequality is examined.

Abstract:

Kolonisationen har format många länder, men i vilken utsträckning? Detta är ett aktuellt ämne eftersom kolonialism fortfarande finns idag. I den här uppsatsen undersöks därför kolonisationens påverkan på ekonomisk utveckling. Med hjälp av tvärsnittsdata och OLS-regressioner visar resultatet att brittiska kolonier i världen, relativt franska kolonier, i genomsnitt haft högre BNP per capita år 2000 och att detta tycks bero på skillnader i humankapital, demokrati och institutioner. Däremot kan inget kausalt samband med säkerhet påvisas. Samtidigt hittas inga skillnader i inkomstnivå mellan kolonier i Afrika, men ett signifikant resultat konstateras för att de franska kolonierna i Afrika haft lägre tillväxt 2000-2010

Abstract:

This paper aims to research how swedish and british literature visualise the decolonization of british colonies after the second world war. With the use of a qualitative research paradigm and a theoretical framework based on postcolonialism the study has found that several differences between the portrayal of decolonization have been highlighted. The main differences the study has found adhere towards the portrayal of African colonies. Furthermore, how information has been portportaryed and by whom is also a key difference between the literatures. Lastly, with the use of both swedish and british literature the study has identified a possible education plan covering decolonization and democratization.

Abstract:

First part of the thesis is about literature research of optimization algorithms. Three of the algorithms were implemented and tested, concretely the ant colony algorithm, tabu search and simulated annealing. All three algorithms were implemented to solve the traveling salesman problem. In second part of the thesis the algorithms were tested and compared. In last part the influence of the ant colony parameters was evaluated.

Abstract:

This construction programme deals with a hermit colony located in the western part of the Vysočina Region. This hermit colony has been established to provide accommodation for women living in this area permanently while offering an opportunity of occasional relaxation for people who are living hectic lives in urban environment. The aim of my project is to design the remaining parts of the colony, i.e. two hermitages and the community’s chapel. A hermitage is a one-storey building intended for one person only. The load-bearing walls of the individual hermitages are designed to be built from different materials (wooden and masonry constructions) whereas the elevational structures of all the buildings are to be the same. The chapel’s wall system combines stone and wood. The chapel will serve solely the purposes of the community. The main objective of my project is to respect and maintain the natural features of the landscape to the maximum extent possible.

Darbe nagrinėjamos skruzdžių kolonijų technologijos vaizdams apdoroti. Pasiūlomos max-min skruzdžių sistemos modifikacijos tinkamos automatizuoti pirminį vaizdų apdorojimą. Pristatoma vaizdų segmentavimo metodika grįsta skruzdžių kolonijų varžymusi feromono pagalba. Nagrinėjama, įgyvendintos LPLM įrenginyje, modifikuotos skruzdžių sistemos sparta ir MicroBlaze modulių įtaka spartai.
In this work ant colony technologies for image processing are analyzed. Modifications of Max-Min ant system for automatic image pre-processing are proposed. Image segmentation by multiple ant colonies technique based on pheromone competition is proposed. Modified ant system is implemented in FPGA and MicroBlaze core units influence on performance is analyzed.

Abstract:

The content of the thesis is a description of intracellular processes responsible for cell cycle regulation and reactions of cells to external and internal stimuli. Thoroughly described are important signaling pathways with appropriate methods, which can be used to simulate them in silico. From these cellular processes, a cell cycle model is created and implemented in a tool programmed in C ++ with OpenGL used for visualization. The model is then tested for various cell processes including HeLa cells growth. Finally, the results are compared with the behavior of living cells.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with Ant Colony algorithms and their usage for solving Travelling Salesman Problems and Vehicle Routing Problems. These algorithms are metaheuristics offering new approach to solving NP-hard problems. Work begins with a description of the forementioned tasks including ways to tackle them. Next chapter analyses Ant Colony metaheuristic and its possible usage and variations. The most important part of the thesis is practical and is represented by application Ant Colony Optimization Framework. It is easily extensible application written in Java that is able to solve introduced problems. In conclusion this work presents analysis of solutions on test data.

The diploma thesis deals with the Kamenna district with a specific area of housing. It describes its history, morphology, today's life and its virtues and shady pages. Approaching today's issues of this location and approach or view of stakeholders. In addition, eight properties are instantiated in the work. These properties are selected from the so-called „Upper Kamenka“ and „Lower Kamenka“ (four from each part) to ensure comparable technical advantages and disadvantages of individual parts. Technical disadvantages such as absence of sewerage and geological survey on the sloping slope in one of the mentioned objects. Comparing methodology to the comparison method according to Decree No. 441/2013 Coll. in current version, Comparison method-market price and cost method according to Decree No. 441/2013 Coll. in current version. At the end of the work, the author undertakes a discussion about negotiating the price and explains the great diversity of the results.

Abstract:

This master thesis deals with image processing of Petri dishes. The first part is about terms and procedures in laboratory practice. The following part is about devices and algorithms for image analysis of Petri dishes. The second part is about draft and implementation of own colony counting application, which was developed in cooperation with the microbiological laboratory. The application is developed for mobile devices running Android OS. The master thesis also includes the design and creation of two lighting units, which uses as an accessory for better results in the analysis of Petri dishes. In conclusion are presented results, compared lighting units and various types of mobile devices, on which the application was tested.

Abstract:

Syftet med föreliggande uppsats var att undersöka vilka sociala problem på de norrländskalandsbygderna som skildras i svenska hiphoptexter, hur de framställs samt på vilket sätt dekan förstås. För att besvara uppsatsens syfte tillämpades en kvalitativ innehållsanalys för attsystematisera det empiriska materialet som texterna utgjorde. För att nå en djupare förståelseför de levnadsförhållanden som skapat sociala problem genomfördes en kvalitativ textanalysutifrån teorierna och begreppen social exkludering, etablerade och outsiders, territoriellstigmatisering samt identitet och skam. Resultaten visade att följande sociala problem skildrasav norrländska hiphopartister: missbruk av alkohol och narkotika, narkotikabruk, ensamhet,psykisk ohälsa, socioekonomiska missförhållanden, kriminalitet och rasism. I analysen avtexterna framkom det även att levnadsförhållandena påverkades av faktorer som fördomarriktade mot Norrland, resursfördelning samt interna intressekonflikter, vilka inte kandefinieras som sociala problem, men som tycktes inverka på artisternas utsagor. Fördomarnasom skildrades i texterna riktade mot de norrländska landsbygderna gav upphov till två olikasätt att reagera; att känna skam eller att mobilisera sig.

Abstract:

Darbo tikslas – ištirti bičių kolonijų produkcines ir reprodukcines savybes, laikant įvairaus dydţio aviliuose. Siekiant šio tikslo bus iškelti sekantys uţdaviniai: 1. Įtakoti bičių kolonijų pavasarinio apsiskraidymo laiką; 2. Įvertinti bičių svorį po pavasarinio apsiskraidymo; 3. Nustatyti avilio tipo įtaką bičių šeimų ţiemojimui bei jų fiziologinei būklei; 4. Nustatyti traninių perų pasirodymo laiką bičių kolonijoje; 5. Nustatyti Varroa destructor erkių įtaką tranų lervučių masei; 6. Nustatyti avilio talpumo įtaką motinių lopšelių skaičiui bei bičių produkcijai. Buvo stebimas bičių kolonijų pavasarinis apsiskraidymas, sveriamos bitės po pavasarinio apsiskraidymo, stebimas aptūptų bitėmis korių skaičius 2010–2011 metais. Apţiūrimi pirmieji traniniai perai bičių kolonijoje, sveriant tranų lervas nustatinėjama erkių Varroa destructor įtaka jų masei, įvertinama bičių kolonijų fiziologinė būklė. Taip pat registruojami motininiai lopšeliai bičių šeimose ir medaus kopimo metu atliekama išsukto medaus apskaita. Bičių apsiskraidymas vyko dviem etapais, pirmą kartą apsiskraidė 4 bičių šeimos, o antra likusios 12 šeimų. Ištyrus bičių svorį po pavasarinio apsiskraidymo paaiškėjo, kad iš 60 % tirtų bičių svoris yra 0,11 g, o likusių bičių svoris maţesnis. Nustatant avilio įtaką bičių šeimų ţiemojimui 2010–2011 metais, buvo nustatyta, kad 27 korių aviliuose bičių šeimos yra stipriausios. The aim – to investigate bee colony productive and reproductive characteristics. To achieve this objective will be to raise the following goals: 1. Influence first fly colonies in spring time; 2. To evaluate the weight of the bees in the spring after first fly; 3. Identify type of impact on the hive of bees and their families in winter physiological condition; 4. Set the time of the appearance of peers traninių bee colony; 5. Determine the impact of Varroa destructor mites in drone larvae masses; 6. Set the capacity of the hive mother influence the number of nursery and bee products. Colonies were observed in spring first flight, weighed after spring first flight bees, bees, combs sits observed number 2010–2011 years. Also examined the first drones peers bee colony, weighing the drone larvae of identical mite Varroa destructor influence their weight, assess the physiological state of bee colonies. The nursery also recorded maternal families of honey bees climbing in done unfolded honey accounting. First flight bees gone through two phases, the first flight four colonies, and the second the remaining 12 families. Examination of the weight of the bee first fly spring showed that 60% of tested bees weighing 0.1138 g and the weight of the remaining bees. In determining the impact of the hive bee families influence winter 2010–2011, has been found that 27 hives of bees honeycomb is the strongest of the family. Abstract:

Der vorliegende Beitrag gibt einen Überblick über die Entstehung der ersten deutschen Kolonien in Georgien sowie die wirtschaftlichen Aspekte ihrer Tätigkeiten. Im II. Kapitel wird kurz die Vorgeschichte der Beziehungen zwischen Deutschland und Georgien beschrieben. Es wird gezeigt, dass diese Beziehungen schon im dritten Jahrhundert begannen und nach der Eroberung Georgiens durch die Mongolen im 13. Jahrhundert unterbrochen wurden. Die Wiederherstellung der Beziehungen zwischen den Ländern fand im 17. Jahrhundert statt, wobei eine Intensivierung im 18. Jahrhundert beobachtet werden kann. Im III. Kapitel geht es um die Entstehung der deutschen Kolonien in Georgien; insbesondere entstanden viele deutsche Siedlungen in Ost-Georgien, in der Nähe der Hauptstadt Tbilissi (mit deutschen Bezeichnungen, z.B. Rosenthal, Marienfeld, Alexandersdorf, Petersdorf, Elenendorf usw.) und in Tbilissi. Das IV. Kapitel beschäftigt sich mit der Analyse der wirtschaftlichen Tätigkeiten der deutschen Kolonien, insbesondere mit der Gründung von zahlreichen neuen kleinen und mittleren Unternehmen in der Nahrungsproduktion, Landwirtschaft und im Dienstleistungsbereich. Die kleinen und mittleren deutschen Unternehmen verwendeten modernes Know-how und Technologien aus Deutschland. Dies hat wesentlich zur wirtschaftlichen Entwicklung Georgiens beigetragen.

Abstract:

The aim of this essay is to see how various texts, both Swedish and foreign, have described the former Swedish colony of St. Bartholomew. The focus has been on the slaves on the colony, and here how they were treated and how the analyzed authors portray the slaves lives. The literature has been divided up into two different categories, based on when they were published. The distinction has been made by dividing them up into a contemporary cluster, that were published before the 1900’s, as opposed to the more recent literature, from after the 1900’s. This division also enables us to see a difference not only between authors, but also between time periods. The research shows a difference within the focus of the contemporary and the recent literature, where the contemporary focused more on the slave trade per se whereas the slaves lives are discussed more in the recent literature. This can be ascribed to the differing discourses, where the actuality of abolishing the slave trade was prominent when the contemporary authors were active. The recent authors have all had access to the same resources in the different archives, but most of them differ in their usage of said resources. By looking at these texts with the theory of historiography in mind we can ascribe these differences to many different reasons, some of being the differing discourses as well as the aim of the text. Whereas there has been research conducted about St. Bartholomew as a Swedish colony, the subject has not caused a great stir within the academic world of history.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with optimization of planar antennas on the Electromagnetic Bandgap (EBG) substrates by the help of Ant Colony Optimization (ACO). This method is based on the communications mechanisms of a real ant colony. Firstly, the working principle of the planar antennas and the theory of the Ant Colony Optimization are analyzed. Next, the description of the working principle of the Electromagnetic Bandgap and generally physical phenomena accompanying electromagnetic waves propagation in a periodic medium are given. In the second part of this thesis, the ACO was implemented into the VBA language, and was applied to two models of planar antennas. These models were created in the CST Microwave Studio. After an optimization of the antennas the results were evaluated, and the optimization of one of the antennas was compared to the optimization methods in CST Microwave Studio. Then, the standard substrate of the second model was replaced by the EBG substrate, and the results were confronted. Two types of EBG lattice were used. The design procedure of the square lattice was described, and the dispersion diagram was created in the CST Microwave Studio. In the final part of thesis, the verification of the results was carried out in Ansoft HFSS, and the results from both simulation programs were compared to each other.

The creation of the myth of the german colonial - as it appears in the review "kolonie un heimat" - seems to be structured around certain "mythotyps" ("mythologemes", to use the terminilogy of g. Durand upon whose our approach is based) : "nostalgia of origins", "the struggle between good and evil" ans "germanic cohesion and unlimited progress". These "mythotypes", wich have profound anthropologic roots and owe their resurgence to the socio-political situation of the kaisers germany, are centred on an essentially backward-looking utopia which has as its axis a return to "germaness" ("deutschtuum"). The fulfilment of the settler - a "new man", subscribing to a traditional, prechristian mysticism-is to be achieved within a "community of the people" ("volksgemeinschaft"). The german colonies thas become a real alternative, an ultimate hope for a reich considered as embasked on the road of decadence and degeneration

Abstract:

Due to massive expansion of the mass spectrometry and constant price growth of the human labour the optimalisation of the microbial samples preparation comes into question. This master thesis deals with design and implementation of a machine learning algorithm for segmentation of images of microbial colonies cultivated on Petri dishes. This algorithm is going to be a part of a controlling software of a MBT Pathfinder device developed by the company Bruker s. r. o. that automates the process of smearing microbial colonies onto a MALDI target plates. In terms of this thesis a several models of neural networks based on the UNet, UNet++ and ENet architecture were implemented. Based on a number of experiments investigating various configurations of the networks and pre-processing of the training datatset there was chosen an ENet model with quadruplet filter count and additional convolutional block of the encoder trained on a dataset pre-processed with round mask.
