This paper analyzes the competition level of banking industry, prior and after the introduction of Indonesian Banking Architecture (API). Using panel data, the result shows the competition of banking decreased after the introduction of API, with large tendency to monopoly or collusive olligopoly. k Vseživljenjsko učenje je postalo potreba za preživetje, znanje pa dominantna konkurenčna prednost in ključ do uspeha posameznika in navsezadnje tudi organizacije, kar navsezadnje vpliva na pojavljanje vedno večjega razkoraka med potrebami trga dela in formalno pridobljenim znanjem. En od načinov za učinkovito zmanjševanje razkoraka med potrebami trga dela in formalno pridobljenim znanjem je stalno prilagajanje in nadgrajevanje že obstoječega znanja in kompetenc ter pridobivanje novih. Ključno vlogo pri tem pa imajo strokovni delavci in izobraževalci odraslih ter njihove delovne kompetence. K

k Prispevek obravnava tematiko gradnje in oblikovanje kariere posameznika kot pomemben del njegovega razvoja. V Sloveniji temelj za gradnjo kariere posameznika predstavljajo izobraževalni sistemi, tako primarni, kot sekundarni in terciarni. Na osnovi teoretičnih spoznanj je bila izvedena raziskava med dijaki srednjega strokovnega izobraževanja o gradnji kariere v Biotehniškem centru Naklo, ki so že imeli izkušnjo z opravljanjem praktičnega usposabljanja z delom pri delodajalcu.
