Full textHuman intelligence operates differently when making certain individual or sectional decisions, therefore it is sought that created interactive tools for learning would stimulate a better realization of individual psychophysical characteristics. Through tactical thinking, a player analyzes, chooses a particular strategy, by which application he makes best decision in a situation and makes concrete actions in order to reach a set goal. When working a pedagogical work, I have noticed a passive schoolchildren‘s attitude towards physical culture and sports, so I have decided to create and examine a tool for learning “Krepšinio deriniai” by using contemporary information technologies in the study process. Having accomplished an analysis of existing programmable tools, the aim was realized into two realizations: • With Testtool system a tool for education “Testtool Krepšinio deriniai” (Testtool basketball drills) was created. • Having adapted a creation environment DrillCad for another sports that is handball combinations, a tool „Basketball Drill Cad“ for designing tactical basketball combinations was created. Full textThe main purpose of the paper is to develop a certification programme on Skills ensuring children safety using Internet. In order to acheve this goal, five tasks were formed: • Explore current ECDL certification programmes aiming to specialized programmes. • Explore the standards of new ECDL programmes developement. • Develop the e-Guardian programme syllabus which would be as much hardware platform and software independent as possible. • Develop the e-Guardian certification programme questions test base for automotive testing. • Place the e-Guardian certification programme questions test base on the ECDL-Lithuania testing system. • Examine ECDL Foundation quality management requirements of the e-Guardian syllabus and AQTB. To achieve these tasks such research methods as nonfiction analysis and summation, expert and user surveys, observation, experiments, statistical analysis were used. The theoretical part explores ECDL certification programmes, ECDL programme development standards, e-Guardian programme part among the ECDL Foundation products. The methods for developing ECDL programmes are described in second part. These methods include ECDL Foundation product authorization standards, certification programme syllabus and questions test base development. Full textComputer viruses types and several classifications of viruses were reviewed in this work. The main actions of struggle with computer viruses and main methods for searching viruses were presented in this work. Main constituent parts and features of antivirus programs were analyzed too. The requirements for modern antivirus programs were introduced and problems with antivirus programs were described in this work. The questioning was performed and the most popular free and fee-paying antivirus programs were discovered. Tests for antivirus programs of antivirus testing laboratories were reviewed, and tests for examination influence of antivirus programs on computer performance were chosen. The experimental investigations using chosen tests were performed and the influence of antivirus programs on computer performance was found out. The comparison free and fee paying antivirus programs according to influence on computer performance was made.

Full textIn the 21st century governmental institutions and media in Lithuania pay a lot of attention to the development of “information” or “knowledge” society and are engaged in practical implementation of information technology (IT). Governmental institutions are concerned to keep pace with the European Union and neighbouring countries, especially Baltic countries, level. To develop and implement society’s computer literacy require necessary technologies and means for which creation and development it is obligatory to possess computer devices, IT specialists, there ought to be approval of the state and society and reciprocal concern. School library as one of the most important parts in school experiences and has to overcome all the changes in educational and cultural systems to keep with information society. In order not to stay behind from public and academic libraries, which are provided with modern technologies, school libraries also must have electronic catalogue, which would facilitate the accounting and management of funds, delivery of the recourses existent in the funds. Full textDuring these days students of Decorative landscaping are creating their projects with a computer program named „AutoCAD“. This program is not suitable for Landscape visualization, because it does not have plant libraries, landscaping templates and various other functions, which helps to improve creator’s work. Student, who is creating 3D view with „AutoCAD“ program, has to spend a lot of time to visualize the project. And the 3D view designed by this program does not indicate the future results. Surveys which were made in Lithuanian Decorative landscaping service companies showed that they are using „Realtime Landscaping Architect 2“, specialized landscape visualization software. This landscape visualization software is similar to the most popular computer program in the world, named „Realtime Lanscaping PLUS“. The project analyzes „Realtime Landscaping Architect 2“ programs main menu line, locations and landscape design.

Full textGPS system, GPS reference stations and networks of stations and their demand in nowadays engineering jobs are generally explained in thesis. Virtual reference station (VRS) and the newest master auxiliary concept (MAC) methods are introduced. Spider software for reference station networks control are analysed in details. The results using VRS and MAC technologies are analysed and compared. Conclusions and suggestions are at presented. Full textCreation of educational computer programs needs a lot of knowledge and hard work. There are a lot of them for different purposes and different subjects. We can find them in internet sites, get from The Open Society Fund - Lithuania (OSFL) and etc. Students or teachers still have problems in use of active teaching programs using IT. The survey showed that those tools are too complicated, even are not adapted to curriculum. Sometimes it is impossible to use them because of lack of information. The reason is that they are prepared in foreign languages. Moreover, misunderstanding in communication appears when student’s knowledge in IT is higher than teacher’s. Taking it into account we made the investigation of those tools and decided to create the set of computer- integrated tools for teaching physics which suits to curriculum for 7-8 classes. Materials are prepared for 2 chapters “Pressure” and “Flotation and flight”. Every theme consist of: theory, demonstrational materials, tasks and tests. Teaching aid is prepared using special software technologies: • Front Page- to keep connection with user; • HTML- to design interactive tasks; • Hot Potatoes- to design interactive tasks; • Power Point- to design demo; • Wink 2000- to design demo. That teaching aid 7-8 grade students can use in the lessons and independently. Full textThe issues of creating the educational tool for the students of building engineering specialty in the universities of Lithuania to improve the understanding of the educational material of the reiforced concrete constructions module has been analysed in this paper. The main problem is the lack of problem-oriented software. This kind of software could provide the students with the possibility to use the theoretical material in practice by using its facilities for modelling the stress and deformation of reinforced concrete elements, for determining the change of the mentioned characteristics depending on the load until the end of observation period and for presenting this process graphically in the diagrams. The educational tool could provide the students with more definite representation of the behaviour of reinforced concrete, than the theoretical material does. The main functional and non-functional requirements have been identified for the software by carrying out the survey of the special user demands. According to these requirements, the architectural and explicit planning has been carried out. The programming language Visual Basic has been chosen for the programming. After accomplishing consistency tasks, auditorial calculations and the trial tests it was determined, that the tool meets all the requirements designed to it.

Full textIn this work you’ll learn about computer network’s problems and basic network operation principles, also the basic computer network’s structure models explained. Analyzed and explained basic problems about computer network development, connection, routers, monitoring and operation. After researching the existing computer network problems there was new network model designed. This model ensures easy and fast users and resources segmentation, constant and continuous work of all the network nodes and above all ensures the reliable protection for computer users and sources. Also there is the opportunity for the new or existing segments to hook up to the main network easily and for its growth and development. There were carried out the experiments with the new models of computer network, which helped to explain the theoretical and practical VLAN numbers. In case of reaching or exciding those VLAN numbers it is necessary to carry out network’s segmentation and clarify its influence on router’s overload and operation.

Full textBachelor’s paper analyses theoretical aspects of use of information and communication technologies in education pupils with special needs in secondary schools and possibilities of using information technologies in a special educator’s work. It was hypothesized that: 1) information and communication technologies when educating pupils with special needs in secondary schools haven’t been fully exploited yet; 2) the use of information and communication technologies does not only depend on the tools available, but also on the specialists’ competence as well. 61 respondent was involved in the research: 24 special educators from secondary school working with special needs pupils (special teachers, logopedists, psychologists, social teachers, assistant teachers). The research was carried out in secondary schools of Panevėžys city in March - April, 2011. The survey was carried out to find out what information and communication technologies and for what purposes are most frequently used by the respondents in the education process of pupils with special needs. When analysing the data of the survey, there was an attempt to find out the relations between the possibilities of using these tools and the specialists’ competence. Full textThe topic of digital literacy is not new. We can find it in some researches, defended dissertations and annual reports about computer literacy monitoring results – the importance and necessity of digital literacy is undeniable. However, the methods of the digital literacy competence assessments are still reliable. In this paper, we describe the most possible reasons of changing the content of ECDL syllabus version 4 and the ways of how the ECDL certification program must change. The goal of this paper is to suggest the original methodology of ECDL syllabus version item comparison; to provide the tendencies of how the ECDL syllabus content must change; to prepare a list of requirements for ECDL syllabus version 5 and basic informatics study program item coordination. The method of ECDL syllabus version item comparison was demonstrated by performing the research of ECDL syllabus version 4 to 5 item comparison in two ways: by analyzing the content of ECDL syllabus version 4 and syllabus version 5 and by comparing them together. Two aspects measured the results: ECDL syllabus version 4 status to ECDL syllabus version 5 (the fact of changing the content: “New”, “Changed”, “Split”, “Merge”, “Same”) and the reason of changing the content of ECDL syllabus version 4 (“Clarity”, “Quality”, “Currency”). Full textIn this final Master paper were analyzed problems, related with buildings energy consumption and energy efficiency. For further analysis were chosen innovative tools – energy simulation programs, which help to save energy before building is built or renovated. After literature, related with building energy simulation, was analyzed, comparison of the most popular energy simulation programs was done. After this, EnergyPlus was chosen as the best dynamic energy simulation program. The main purpose of this paper – to investigate adaptability of the program in our applications. For investigation was chosen model of hypothetical office building. The main tasks were to calculate, how different factors influence building heating/cooling loads during design days. Main data file, describing building, was created and were made simulations for different cases of glazing, building orientations and glass types. After the influence of these factors was defined, for evaluating potential energy saving through energy simulation, was created the best and the worst case for the same building. Difference between cases was very big, especially in cooling loads. EnergyPlus calculation results were also compared with results of two simpler, often used heating power calculation methods. Heating power, calculated with EnergyPlus, was much smaller, than in other two cases. Full textThis diploma work is titled by “Teaching Functions in Mathematics using Information Technologies ”. New technologies of education are discussed in context of teaching function in upper secondary schools and colleges. Three educational applications e. g. “Geometer’s Sketchpad”, “Autograph”, and “MathematiX” are analysed and described with emphasis on strong and week their properties. While investigating the teaching of various functions it is searching how to present the best way of using “Geometer’s sketchpad”, “Autograph”, and “Mathematix” applications. The main results of research is the following: these tools are appropriate for teaching functions in upper secondary schools however these programs doesn’t fit all requirements of colleges and mostly can be used for course repetition.

Full textThis work examines how the change of processed data length influence the technical parameters of processor’s components such as arithmetic logic unit (ALU), data registers, instruction registers and program counter registers. It was done by using Synopsis software which enabled the synthesis of the needed components. The synthesis results showed information about occupied area, the number of cells and the internal voltage of the synthesised scheme. There were chosen the most common length of processed data (8, 16, 32 and 64 bit). The results of synthesis showed, that it is possible to predict the results of synthesis by changing the length of the processed data. The longer word of information must be processed by components, the larger area is needed for implementation of the processor components, more logical element are needed to implement the components and the greater internal voltage of the scheme will be.

Full textMaster’s thesis analyzes the informational technologies application in Lithuanian speech and language therapists’ work. The aim of this research - to assess the informational and communication technology (ICTs) and computer-based speech training system (CBST) use at the speech and language therapists work in comprehensive schools who work with persons who have language, speech and communication disorders. The empirical part of the paper deals with the use of ICTs/ CBST at speech and language therapists work, their possibility of usage, the coherence between speech therapists qualification and their age, the usage of the programs for development educable self-dependent tools, speech and language therapists interest in various sources of work-related topics and others. In the questionnaire survey (in electronic form) have participated 258 speech and language therapists who work in comprehensive schools.
