Abstract:
Euboulos' 'αγκελ⋯ων is represented by only four fragments (frr. 1–3 frr. 1–4 Hunter), all culled from Athenaeus, which tell us nothing about the plot of the play or about the identity of its titular character. R. L. Hunter, in his recent commentary on Euboulos, discusses at length the name 'αγκελ⋯ων and concludes that it could belong to either (1) a humble and poor man; (2) ‘a character from folklore notorious for sexual relations with his mother’ ; or (3)’ a wily slave such as those foreshadowed in Aristophanes and familiar from New Comedy'. ABSTRACT It is widely recognized that physical corporal punishment was experienced by many Greco-Roman children and youths when they attended schools. However, relatively little attention has been paid to family perpetrated or condoned violence that was directed at children with learning impairments. This study examines the role of physical, emotional, and verbal family abuse perpetrated by parents, relatives, and other members of the household, such as slaves and freedmen, in the education of males with learning impairments. It examines in detail the family abuse suffered by Kottalos, the son

The general notions about the public in IFFK will be described by narrating incidents and tales of hindrances people faced while entering into the above-mentioned space. The criticisms leveled against cinema in the discussions, outside the space, always contributed to number of censures of the Film Festival too, spurring debates centering around who should watch a movie or who should participate in IFFK. Abstract:
This chapter examines Herodas' Mimiamb 3, which is unique among the poems preserved by the papyrus as it deals with a family. It describes the characterization of Mêtrotimê and her family circumstances, as well as her attitude to Kottalos as the aim of Mimiamb 3. It also discusses the Mêtrotimê that has affinities with the New Comedy type of the woman chatterbox and her 57.5-line monologue that was cut short abruptly by Lampriskos. The chapter mentions Kottalos as the family's only child and sole hope for Mêtrotimê's superannuation. It analyses how Herodas steadfastly presents Mêtrotimê in all
