Abstract:
Objective. Information products and services provided by academic libraries to support the educational process and research are a component of the information ecology of educational institutions, but their list within each academic library depends on the institutional ecology. Therefore, it is useful to study the practical experience of various academic libraries in ensuring the information ecology of research universities. As an example, we consider the successful experience of G. Denysenko Scientific and Technical Library of the National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" (KPI Library). Methods. A qualitative method of longitudinal research was used to obtain data and analyze the KPI Library information services. A number of primary data sources were used, such as diaries of first-hand reflection, observations, engaged in documenting and developing a narrative about the effectiveness of interaction of students, lecturers, scientists with the information environment. Analytical and review, logical, systematic methods are applied to substantiate the place of library service in information ecology. Results. The experience of KPI Library in ensuring the information ecology of the university was studied. Ways of organizing prompt, effective and safe (ecological) interaction with users and support of internal information products and services are analyzed. It is shown which services (tools and information resources) and areas of activity of the library form the information ecology of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. The role of the library in the formation of information culture and the culture of academic integrity of scientists, teachers and students of the university is shown. Conclusions. The considered example of KPI Library activity confirms that an academic library is directly involved in formation of the information ecology of a research university. A deeper analysis of the value of products and the effectiveness of library services for various members of the academic community as a component of the information ecology of the university may be the subject of further research.

Abstract:
Problem Management (PM) is one of the components in the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Service Support area. The primary focus of Problem Management is to identify causes of service issues and commission corrective work to prevent recurrences. To address this practice and make it more effective, the project tends to identify the specific Key Performance Indicator (KPI) for    Problem Management process in a Malay owner company named as Mesiniaga Berhad. The identification of Problem Management KPI is based on the previous research which is using ITIL as a framework. The interview session has been conducted in Mesiniaga with Problem Manager working at that company with more than 10 years’ experience in Problem Management process. The method of    interview is using qualitative approach which is using the design question with the lists of KPI. The expert will select or decide which KPI are related with the current report in Mesiniaga. The result showed that 6 KPIs are related and come out with analysis on how the outcome of KPI behavior matched with the Incident report in Mesiniaga. To enhance on how the identification of KPI, instead of using manual to capture the Problem Management KPI, the automation of selected KPI from Incident to Problem Management can be       implement in the systems. Most technologies are intelligent enough for data analytic to decide which suitable KPI of Problem          Management follow the current business and client environment. Â

Abstract:
Purpose The French academic libraries directors association (ADBU) launched and updated a European comparative study on Key Performance Indicators (KPI) in Academic Libraries over the 2013–2017 period. The purpose of this paper is to briefly present the ADBU initiative; its main focus is how to use these figures to ground decision making process, notably so as to better assess the contribution of libraries in student success or research performance. Design/methodology/approach As universities and academic libraries are facing research evolutions and teaching/learning new models, a strong increase in students’ number is observed everywhere in Europe. This trend will most probably continue in the coming years and the pressure on academic libraries will grow. That is why the French ADBU took the initiative to launch a European comparative study on key and performance indicators in Academic Libraries over the 2013–2016 period. Data were updated in 2019, covering 2017 figures and including additional countries. Findings Thanks to the European partners and the help of a consultant firm, the first observations were updated with the 2017 figures and the country scope grew broader. Libraries buildings and equipment, space and seats per student, opening days and hours, frequentation rate, library services, users training, staff per student/documentary budgets/total expenditure, staff training, documentation loans/consultation/downloads: these KPI are gathered and can be compared in both relative and absolute value. Originality/value The ADBU initiative is unique, results are widely shared.

Abstract:
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to present a case study of implementing strategic management as a process based on balanced scorecard (BSC) in the university library – G. Denysenko Scientific and Technical Library of the National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute” (KPI Library). Design/methodology/approach The author is regarding the features of all the strategic management implementation stages: strategic analysis, formulation of strategic ideas (vision, values and mission), the strategy definition and development, strategy implementation and realization, assessment and control of the strategy implementation. Special attention is focused on the comparison of the BSC model, which was used in KPI Library with classical BSC models for non-profit organizations developed by Robert Kaplan and David Norton, and Paul Niven. The author is also focusing on preparation of the strategic map and identifying specific indicators. Findings BSC is adaptive, flexible and adjusts to the environment of each particular library and can be used as an effective tool for the development of a strategic management system in libraries. Originality/value The case study of the library of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute shows that a BSC is an effective tool for building a system of strategic management development aimed at radical organizational changes in the library. It is also a testing and practical implementation of some of the results of the study “Strategic Management of Library as a Process-Oriented Organization Based on a BSC,” which is conducted by the author.

Abstract:
Abstract The application of integrated naqli and aqli (INAQ) knowledge in each subject offered at Kolej PERMATA Insan (KPI) is a requirement, and this includes the mandatory subject, i.e. Hifz Al-Quran (memorizing the Quran). However, the Al-Quran education module used in KPI does not outline specific guidelines for integrating memorised Quranic verses with aqli knowledge. This study aims to design a model of integrating memorised Quranic verses with aqli knowledge for the use of Quranic teachers and students of Kolej PERMATA Insan. This study used the approach of library studies and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) involving a team of experts. The result of this study is a designed Model of Integrating Memorised Quranic Verses with Aqli Knowledge which comprises five components, five phases, and eight sub-phases containing activities and elements. This model can provide guidelines to the Quranic teachers and students of Kolej PERMATA Insan in integrating the memorised verses with the aqli knowledge.

Abstract:
This research aims to design a performance measurement system (DSS) for libraries, specifically with a focus on implementing the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) method in Libraries. Performance measurement is very important to evaluate the extent to which an organization achieves predetermined goals. The quality of library services can be assessed through performance measurements, which provide insight into the effectiveness of activities, identify differences from established standards, and compare results with expectations. This research highlights the importance of performance evaluation in improving library services and library image. Systematic performance measurement can guide libraries, increase user productivity, reduce transaction costs, improve services, and demonstrate the library's value to stakeholders. The BSC method translates the library's vision, mission, and strategy into strategic goals and key performance indicators (KPI) in four perspectives: financial, customer, internal business, and learning and growth. This holistic and comprehensive approach ensures that strategic objectives are balanced between short and long terms as well as internal and external factors. The research results show increasing interest in evaluating the design and implementation readiness of BSC in libraries.

Abstract:
碩士<br>淡江大學<br>資訊與圖書館學系<br>92<br>Performing arts are fallen into three genres: music, dance and dramas. They are associated with the actions performed before the audience by the players, emphasizing the mutual experiences running between the performers and viewers. Therefore, it becomes the common concern among the performing arts school and the libraries of how to pass on the experiences to the next generations and to upgrade the viewers’ appreciation abilities. This research adopts the Delphi Method to collect both the opinions of the performing arts scholars and readers. It queries the status, role, function, collection, service, skills of the librarians, and promotions of the Performing Arts Library of National Chiang Kai-Shek Cultural Center, with referring to other world-famous performing arts libraries. It concludes as follows: 1. The Performing Arts Library of National Chiang Kai-Shek Cultural Center is a special library, playing as centers of informing, researching, promoting, and preserving in terms of performing arts resources, respectively to advance its functions of supplying information, promoting arts, researching, and preserving culture. 2. The Performing Arts Library of National Chiang Kai-Shek Cultural Center is operated on the basis of membership. Besides the staff, the main clienteles are performers, teachers, students with related majors, and researchers. The library greets whoever loves performing arts to use its resources. 3. The Performing Arts Library of National Chiang Kai-Shek Cultural Center aims to build up digital databases and networking information. Nevertheless, its readers tend to use books and audio/visual materials. In this sense, the library should continue increasing the traditional resources. 4. The Performing Arts Library of National Chiang Kai-Shek Cultural Center should take readers’ negative attitudes toward reference services into account, focusing on the future development of reference services instead. 5. The Performing Arts Library of Chiang Kai-Shek Cultural Center should cultivate its librarians’ Core Competencies to ensure its service quality.

V.F. Khodasevich noted that Gorky had “amazing” memory. This memory and also a wide range of reading, and the constant pursuit of new knowledge made the writer an encyclopedist of his era. Many famous people of that time spoke about him like this: N.N. Burdenko, K.I. Chukovsky, K.A. Trenev, P.D. Korin. Gorky’s encyclopedism was especially evident in his editorial work on the magazine “Our Achievements”, in the implementation of projects on “The History of factories and plants”, “World History”, “World Literature”, the series “Poet’s Library”, “The History of a young man”. Ultimately Gorky directed all his knowledge and strength to educational work, trying to awaken in people the desire to open new horizons, to encourage them to improve themselves and the world around them.

Abstract:

Abstract:
Towards the analysis and optimization of a coupled building energy sector, various component model libraries for hydraulic, ventilation, electrical, control, and building domains exist. However, no uniform open-source framework to couple these domains in a holistic building energy system simulation exists. Thus, we present BESMod, an open-source Modelica library, providing a modular approach towards domain-coupled building energy system simulations. BESMod relies on existing component specialized model libraries for the underlying physics. For the analysis of complex system simulations, user-friendly parameterization, consistent model interfaces, precalculated KPIs and debugging options are applied. The library is available at www.github.com/RWTH-EBC/BESMod. This paper motivates the library, lays out the interaction with existing model libraries and the general modular approach. An exemplary use case demonstrates the applicability of BESMod. Concluding, we motivate future development options.

Abstract:
Today, in the era of modern Intelligent Production Environments (IPE) and Industry 4.0, the manufacturing of a product takes place in various partial steps and these mostly in different locations, potentially distributed all over the world. The producing companies must assert in the global market and always find new ways to cut costs by saving tax, changing to the best providers, and by using the most efficient and fastest production processes. Furthermore, they must be inevitably based on a cloud-based repository and distributed architectures to make data and information accessible everywhere as well as development processes and knowledge available for a worldwide cooperation. A so called Collaborative Adaptive (Production) Process Planning (CAPP) can be supported by semantic approaches for knowledge representation and management as well as knowledge sharing, access, and re-use in a flexible and efficient way. In this way, to support CAPP scenarios, semantic representations of such knowledge integrated into a machine-readable process formalization is a key enabling factor for sharing in cloud-based knowledge repositories. This is especially required for, e.g., Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs). When SMEs work together on a production planning for a joint product, they exchange component production and manufacturing change information between different planning subsystems. These exchanges are mostly based on the already well-established Standard for the Exchange of Product model data (STEP), not least to obtain a computer-interpretable representation. Moreover, so-called Function Block (FB) Domain Models could support these planning process. FBs serve as a high-level planning-process knowledge-resource template and to the representation of knowledge. Furthermore, methodologies are required, which based on process-oriented semantic knowledge-representation, such as Process-oriented Knowledge-based Innovation Management (German: Wissens-basiertes Prozess-orientiertes Innovations Management, WPIM). WPIM is already a web- and cloud-based tool suites and can represent such planning processes and their knowledge resources and can therefore be used to support the integration and the management of distributed CAPP knowledge in Manufacturing Change Management (MCM), as well as its access and re-use. That is also valid for Assembly-, Logistics- and Layout Planning (ALLP). On the one hand, a collaborative planning in a machine-readable and integrated representation will be possible as well as an optimization for mass production. On the other hand, within a cloud-based semantic knowledge repository, that knowledge can be shared with all partners and contributors. To combine all these functionalities, in 2016 we have already introduced a method, called Knowledge-based Production Planning (KPP). We outlined the theoretical advantages of integrating CAPP with Collaborative Manufacturing Change Management (CMCM) in the last year at MSEC16. In this Paper, we will demonstrate our first implementations of the KPP application with an integrated visual direct manipulative process editor as well as a first prototype of our mediator architecture with a semantic integration including a query library based on the KPP ontology.
