Studies of artefacts from Corded Ware culture graves in western Lesser Poland have demonstrated that raw materials originating from the eastern Świętokrzyskie region take a leading role: Świeciechów flint (for the production of axes), and chocolate flint (for making flake and blade tools). Authors selected 5 intakes of groundwaters outflowing from carbonate rocks in Roztocze region in Poland and measured activity concentrations of 222Rn and 222Ra. The average values of 222Rn and 226Ra activity concentrations were: 5.3 (min. 2.0, max. 8.3 Bq/dm3) and 0.06 Bq/dm3 (from <0.06 to 0.07 Bq/dm3) respectively. In 2019, two partially damaged features linked to the late phase of the Mierzanowice culture were examined during a short rescue survey in Dobranowice, Kraków district. A fragmentarily preserved human skeleton was discovered at the bottom of one of the pits. Aerial prospection established that the two examined features are part of an extensive Early Bronze Age settlement, perfectly legible in a highly eroded ploughed field. Their predominant form is a catacomb construction, related to the Kraków-Sandomierz group of the Corded Ware culture. To present various CG lightning flash characteristics, 10 km × 10 km grid cells are used, while for estimating thunderstorm days, circles with radii of 17.5 km in the 1 km × 1 km grid cells are used. Until recently it was thought that all the erratic flints found at the Stone Age sites in the upper part of the Odra Valley were considered as silicites from the Baltic Sea. Their age of Baltic flints is associated with the Cretaceous, more precisely with the Maastrichtian or Palaeogene. However, it turns out that among these rocks, there are also silicites that are of different age and origin. They were first found in outcrops of sands and gravels around Opole-Groszowice, SW Poland.
