Sophisticated Böhmb became parish priest in Carlsbad firs. It was in 1720 when the General Prior called him to Prague as a Prior and after Beinlich's death was, on the feast of St. Agnes in March 2, 1722, unanimously elected Grand Master. Thesis followed particularly the cultural activities of the forenamed prelate, in the time of the day-to-day duties of the convent ad Pedem Pontis. It was Beinlich, begining to negotiate an extended Order range beyond the borders of the Czech Kingdom, however it was Böhmb's duty to realize this idea when, in 1723, he installed the Knights of the Cross in Bratislava (Pressburg), and ten years after, in Vienna. Abstract:
"History of the Knights of the Cross with the Red Star between 1948-1958" The diploma thesis deals with the history of the order in the period of history from the rise of communism in Czechoslovakia for a long and experienced grandmaster and general of the order Josef Vlasák until his death in 1958, which was also the first decennium of totalitarianism with a strong anti-church policy. It is one of the key periods in the history of the Order, which was successful in changing social and political circumstances for two generations from the coup to World War II. After February 1948, there was a change that, in terms of both external and internal sense, significantly affected the life of the Order, which was forcibly liquidated by the state. On the other hand, the new regime tried to use appropriate personalities for its ecclesiastical politics, among them the Knights of the Cross. After Vlasákʾs death, thirty years passed without a proper leader. The diploma thesis is to show how the Grand Master and other members of the Order dealt with the newly established conditions of the folk-democratic system, what liquidation of the monastery of St. Francis at Charles Bridge was like, what happened with the members of the Order, how they protected their religious and order identity, based on archival sources...

Jiřinec, Martin. "Kanonie Cyriaků (křižovníků s červeným srdcem) na Starém Městě pražském v letech 1628-1729." Master's thesis, 2007. http://www.nusl.cz/ntk/nusl-289443.

Abstract:
An extensive historical knowledge of the Cyriac church order is enabled due to a set of mostly Latin archival manuscript books (deposited mainly in the National Library in Prague), accomplished betw. 1740-1770 by the conventual historian, a luminary Joannes C. Rohn whose work methods and sources have been a subject of investigation. The further aim of this paper is to define the order`s involvement in the social and liturgical life in terms of Post-White- Mountain catholic superiority. Prague`s order possessions were restored from Cracovian centre after a long cessation in 1628, and later (till 1783) remained a single Cyriaci convent in Bohemia. These regular canons focused their public activity predominantly on a local spiritual service, carried out up from 1640 also in the adjacent Holy Spirit`s district, and later in a stretch of suburban village area. As well, variably, assisted in a parochial administration throughout the country. Within a few decades the clerics gained confidence of the local, hitherto confessionwise prevalently utraquist parishioners, and a close cooperation was established. While in materially harsh beginnings neighbours` loyalty had to be urged, later, by the vastly instigated public devotion, plentiful private ecclesiastic donations and pro anima mass foundations became a common...

Abstract:
Each of the three parts of the present thesis treats one aspect of researching Antonio Caldara's masses written in Prague. Chapter One maps the current state of research and relevant basic sources on the Czech territory. Chapter Two focuses on a detailed description and following collations of Caldara's seven masses, quite exceptionally obtained from the musical collection of the Knights of the Cross with the Red Star, with other concordant sources. Examples of watermarks and manuscripts can be found in the Attachment. The partial analysis of selected masses described in Chapter Three serves as a complement to the research of sources. Much attention is given to the macro-structural division of mass compositions in relation to the liturgy.
