The Master’s thesis written in the frame of studies branch Manufacturing Technology (2303T002) is submitting design of technology production of sheet metal cover. The part is made of sheet metal 1,5 mm thick. The material for the part is HC260LA (ZStE260). There are no special mechanical or dimensional accuracy demands for the part. According to production run (5 000 pcs. per year for 5 years), design complexity and machine accessories of submitter was proposed manufacturing the part by drawing technology with finish laser cutting. Forming tool is designed according with press Erfurt PKZZ 315. Thesis includes economical evaluation of elaborated technology with other variants of production.

Abstract:

The subject of this thesis is the comprehensive research and design of costumes for the play Ubu Roi by Alfred Jarry, including documentation of the creative process from the initial analysis of the play to the final designs. This play was written in the late 19th century and is considered to be a precurser to Surrealism and Theatre of the Absurd. The story is about the brief and tyrannical reign of a hideous, backward individual named Ubu, who comes to power by murdering the Polish king. The play is notable for its rough playfulness, ruthlessness with regard to social and cultural traditions, its open-mindedness and unique use of language. On the surface it comes across as a silly farce, but it contains many deeper undertones that cause Jarry to be sometimes regarded as a symbolist writer. This work is divided into a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part deals with the author of the play, its content and the context in which it was written, and studies how it was staged in the past. It is not the aim to offer a coherent overview of the life of Alfred Jarry, his work, or the history of past productions of King Ubu. Instead, the information contained here is intended only as a documentation of the historical and theoretical research necessary to understand this work, which ultimately had an impact on the final designs. Part two documents the process of developing the costume designs themselves. Initially it introduces the key considerations that arose from reading the play that affected the overall progress of the work. There follows an analysis of the characters and situations based on the text, and sources of inspiration. The main section describes the final designs of the set and costumes that are supported by attached images.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis aims at strategic strategic differentiation of two brands. The main goal of the thesis is to analyze the current marketing strategy of the brands that are competitive to each other in the category of white mold cheese. The brands have a common owner. They facing a continuous decline in market share. At the same time, the whole category of white mold cheese is growing. The thesis is divided into two parts.In the first part,there are described theoretical approaches of creating marketing strategy, brand management, brand differentiation and market segmentation. It contains various concepts of shaping marketing strategies and their realization. In the second part, there is an analysis of the brands, the market situation and the consumer behavior. In the final part, the author proposes recommendations of the future marketing strategy.

Abstract:

The subject of the diploma thesis is design a new building with a camping in the village Šoporňa. The building is situated near the river Váh on flat terrain. Emphasis was placed on the total visual impression of the building on its stand out from the surrounding landscape. The building will serve as a recreation building with the possibility of short and long-tern housing. There is a restaurant with outdoor seating and an accommodation capacity for 90 people, trade with sport equipment, service for vehicles and boats, garage for boats, a 11,6 metres high climbing wall, conference rooms and halls for exercise. The building has three floors above and no basement. The project includes a flat roof with an attic.

Abstract:

Die Kryo-Elektronentomographie (Kryo-ET) ermöglicht als einzigartige Methode die dreidimensionale Visualisierung der makromolekularen Struktur von Eis-eingebetteten Zellen in ihrem nativen Zustand [Baumeister 2005; Leis et al. 2009]. Ziel dieser Arbeit war es einen universellen Einsatz der Kryo-ET bei eukaryotischen Zellen zu ermöglichen. Dazu wurden neue Ansätze entwickelt bzw. bestehende Methoden optimiert. Da bei der Anwendung der Tomographie die Probendicke mit jedem Kippwinkel zunimmt, gilt momentan die Probendicke (< 1 µm) als limitierender Faktor bei der Kryo-ET. Während prokaryotische Zellen nahezu routinemäßig mittels Kryo-ET untersucht werden können, ist dies bei eukaryotischen Zellen nur partiell in peripheren Arealen oder Ausläufern der Zelle möglich. Dies konnte anhand der Untersuchung von intakten, pluripotenten Stammzellen (P19 Zellen) bestätigt werden. Aufgrund ihrer neuronen-ähnlichen dendritischen Morphologie können diese dünnen Bereiche mit dem Elektronenstrahl durchdrungen werden. So konnte in der 3D-Rekonstruktion eines Zellausläufers ein Mitochondrium in seiner nativen Umgebung visualisiert werden. Zudem wurden mehrere ATP-Synthasen in der Cristaemembran identifiziert, die erstmalig die Existenz von ATP-Synthasedimeren in situ bestätigen. Für die Untersuchung von zellmittigen (dicken) Bereichen müssen jedoch andere Methoden angewendet werden. So ermöglicht die Kryo-Ultramikrotomie das Herstellen von Dünnschnitten (< 100 nm) Eis-eingebetteter Proben. Mit Hilfe dieser Methode wurden in dieser Arbeit Kryo-Schnitte von HL-1 Kardiomyozyten erstellt und tomographisch analysiert. Da die Probe sehr heterogen verteilt ist, ist die Suche nach der Zielstruktur im Elektronenmikroskop sehr zeitaufwendig. Gleichzeitig ist die strahlenempfindliche Probe während der Suche dem Elektronenstrahl ausgesetzt, was die Struktur beeinträchtigen kann. Um die ‚Effizienz’ der Kryo-ET an Kryo-Schnitten zu erhöhen, wurden zwei neue Verfahren implementiert: Einerseits die korrelative Kryo-Fluoreszenzmikroskopie, welche sich zur Suche und Identifikation von Mitochondrien innerhalb des Dünnschnittes unter Flüssigstickstoff (LN2)-Temperatur eignet und andererseits eine neue Methode, die das Aufbringen von Goldkolloiden auf Kryo-Schnitten zum späteren Alignieren der Kippserie ermöglicht. Letztere setzt eine Synthese von 10 nm großem, kolloidalem Gold in Toluol voraus. Nach Zugabe von Isopentan werden die auf dem EM-Trägernetzchen (Grid) angehefteten Kryo-Schnitte bei einer Temperatur von -150°C in diese Suspension getaucht. Des Weiteren wurden verschiedene Trägermaterialien zur Kultivierung von Kardiomyozyten getestet und Osmolalitätsmessungen von unterschiedlichen Kryo-Schutz¬lösungen, welche für das Hochdruck-Verfahren notwendig sind, durchgeführt. Auch hier konnten in den 3D-Rekonstruktionen von Kardiomyozyten die ATP-Synthasen eindeutig in Kryo-Schnitten identifiziert werden. Darüber hinaus gelang die 3D-Visualisierung von zwei Mitochondrien, die sich in der Teilungs- oder Fusionsphase befanden. In einem dieser Mitochondrien sind inorganische Ablagerungen sichtbar. Im Verlauf dieser Dissertation wurde zusätzlich die Methode des Cryo-Planings entwickelt; eine Variante der Kryo-Ultramikrotomie. Bei dieser Technik wird die vitrifizierte Probe direkt auf dem EM-Grid gedünnt. Dieses Verfahren ermöglicht es, Material vom vitrifizierten Eisfilm mittels eines Diamantmessers zu entfernen. Dafür wurde ein spezieller Halter für das Kryo-Ultramikrotom konzipiert und hergestellt. Der Halter erlaubt das Zentrieren und Klemmen eines EM-Grids. Um das Abtragen kleinerer Bereiche der Eisoberfläche zu ermöglichen, wurde ein 1 mm breites Diamantmesser angefertigt. Die Analyse der gedünnten Proben mittels Kryo-Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) zeigte eine gleichmäßig abgetragene Oberfläche. Schneideartefakte, wie sie bei der Kryo-Ultramikrotomie auftreten, wurden nicht beobachtet. Zudem sind die zellulären Proben im gedünnten Bereich des Eisfilms sehr leicht identifizierbar. Brüche, die möglicherweise durch den Probeneinbau im Eisfilm entstehen, konnten mittels Kryo-SEM bis dato nicht beobachtet werden. Die theoretischen Betrachtungen ergaben, dass unter Verwendung des Cryo-Planings als alleinige Methode elektronentransparente Bereiche (< 1 µm Dicke) hergestellt werden können. Bisher konnte jedoch keine elektronentomographische Untersuchung einer geplanten Probe erfolgen, da sie sich als zu dick erwies. Dies ist darauf zurückzuführen, dass mit dem Stereomikroskop nur eine sehr grobe Abschätzung der tatsächlichen Dicke des abgetragenen Bereichs möglich ist.

ENGLISH ABSTRACT: This study focuses on the grammatical properties and syntactic derivation of KRY (“get”)-passives in Afrikaans. Analyses of the corresponding phenomenon in other West-Germanic languages are examined and used as background for the study. The aim of the study is to provide a minimalist analysis of the internal structure of Afrikaans KRY-passives; no such analysis has to date been attempted within the framework of Minimalist Syntax. As an introduction to the phenomenon in Afrikaans, some grammatical background about kry and its syntactic distribution is provided, with special attention paid to the use of this verb in passive constructions. A new analysis of Afrikaans KRY-passives is put forward involving a small clause structure and a light verb component. The main hypothesis of the analysis is that eventive and stative KRY-passives are derived in basically the same manner, the important difference being the presence of a [process] and a [stative] feature, respectively, on the small clause light verb. This hypothesis provides support for the idea that the eventual eventive or stative interpretation of the structure is a consequence of the derivational process rather than being based on lexical features that are already present at the start of the derivation.
AFRIKAANSE OPSOMMING: Hierdie studie fokus op die grammatikale eienskappe en sintaktiese afleiding van KRY-passiewe in Afrikaans. Analises van die ooreenstemmende verskynsel in ander Wes-Germaanse tale word ondersoek en as vertrekpunt vir die studie gebruik. Die doel van die studie is om ‟n minimalistiese analise van die interne struktuur van Afrikaanse KRY-passiewe te ontwikkel; so ‟n analise is nog nie tevore binne die raamwerk van Minimalistiese Sintaksis aangebied nie. As algemene inleiding tot die verskynsel in Afrikaans, word enkele aspekte van kry se grammatikale eienskappe en sintaktiese verspreiding beskryf, met besondere klem op die gebruik van hierdie werkwoord in passiefkonstruksies. ‟n Nuwe analise van KRY-passiewe in Afrikaans word voorgestel, een wat gebruik maak van ‟n beknopte sin (“small clause”)-struktuur en ‟n ligte werkwoord (“light verb”)-komponent. Die vernaamste hipotese van die analise is dat gebeurtenis (“eventive”) en toestand (oftewel statief, “stative”) KRY-passiewe wesenlik op dieselfde manier afgelei word, met een belangrike verskil, naamlik die teenwoordigheid van, onderskeidelik, ‟n [proses]- en ‟n [statief]-kenmerk by die beknopte sin se ligte werkwoord. Dié hipotese verleen steun aan die idee dat die uiteindelike gebeurtenis- of toestand-interpretasie van die struktuur die gevolg is van die afleidingsproses, en dus nie gebaseer is op leksikale kenmerke wat reeds teenwoordig is by die aanvang van die afleiding nie.

Abstract:

At the very beginning there were a lot of impressions, explosions of inspirations and ideas and I wished to write them down and to share them. I am leaving the school full of fresh experiences and this diploma work is an opportunity for me to judge my activity in DAMU, to recall some moments, to organize them and to give names to these experiences, which remind in my memory in a form of feelings and impressions. I will go chronologically through each period of my studding, describe my work on the received tasks in view of actor's tools and themes of characters. Sometimes I will stop, once because of a new idea, once because of problems, that I had to get through. "I am coming to confess to you" - Those are the very first verses of king Basilio, my final role. I wish this diploma work, would be nothing more.

Abstract:

This diploma paper seeks a path linking the myth of the Chinese Monkey King and drama in education. The first chapter deals with some aspects of the use of literature and some of drama in education issues. It seeks topics and opportunities of myth as a literary master across the age groups. The following section is devoted to the myth itself and its history. It heads towards the myth of China with its specific areas, which are closely related to the Monkey King myth. The next chapter describes and evaluates the project - for students of third and fourth grade of secondary school - which tried to mediate issues of the Chinese Monkey King myth by means of drama in education methods. Based on the study of myth and the experience to the project, the author concludes that The Monkey King myth is a good literary master for the drama in education.

Abstract:

Zobrazovanie pomocou kryo-elektrónovej mikroskopie má svoje nezastúpiteľné miesto v analýze viacerých biologických štruktúr. Lokalizácia buniek kultivovaných na mriežke a ich segmentácia voči pozadiu alebo kontaminácii je základom. Spolu s vývojom viacerých metód hlbokého učenia sa podstatne zvýšila úspešnosť úloh sémantickej segmentácie. V tejto práci vyvinieme hlbokú konvolučnú neurónovú sieť pre úlohu sémantickej segmentácie buniek kultivovaných na mriežke. Dátový súbor pre túto prácu bol vytvorený pomocou dual-beam kryo-elektónového mikroskopu vyvinutého spoločnosťou Thermo Fisher Scientific Brno.

Abstract:

In this master’s thesis real settlements for the over consolidated clay below Arenahallen in Halmstad are compared with two different models for settlement calculations; Chalmersmodellen without creep and Chalmersmodellen with creep. Chalmersmodellen with creep is based on Terzaghi’s consolidation theory with an addition to creep. The purpose has been to find out whether Chalmersmodellen with creep can be used for this clay or if Chalmersmodellen without creep should be used instead. The problem has been solved with detailed studies of literature, sampling of undisturbed flasks of clay with geotechnical boring trailer and tries of compression with an odometer of the flasks in question. Thereafter the evaluated results from the odometer were used in Chalmersmodellen.

After complementary of the real settlement, where not all measurements exist, the results of our researches showed that Chalmersmodellen with creep were overestimating the settlement before the preconsolidation stress has been reached.

I examensarbetet jämförs verkliga sättningar för den överkonsoliderade leran under Arenahallen i Halmstad med två olika sättningsberäkningsmodeller; Chalmersmodellen utan kryp och Chalmersmodellen med kryp. Chalmersmodellen med kryp grundar sig på Terzaghis konsolideringsekvation med ett tillägg för krypning. Syftet har varit att ta reda på om Chalmersmodellen med kryp kan användas för denna lera eller om Chalmersmodellen utan kryp fungerar bättre. Problemet har lösts genom grundliga litteraturstudier, provtagning av ostörda prover genom kolvprovtagning med geoteknisk borrvagn samt kompressionsförsök med ödometer på tagna kolvar. Därefter utvärderades resultaten från ödometerförsöken och användes i Chalmersmodellen.

Efter komplettering av den verkliga sättningen, där inte all mätdata finns, blev resultatet av våra undersökningar att Chalmersmodellen med kryp överskattar sättningen innan förskonsolideringstrycket är passerat.

Abstract:

Grenrören i en motor utsätts för stora termiska och mekaniska belastningar, vilka gör att grenrören ofta spricker. Idag kan inte sprickbildningen fullständigt uttydas ur beräkningarna, syftet med arbetet är därför att se om dessa kan förbättras genom att använda en mer avancerad krypmodell än den som används idag.

Ett förslag till krypmodell har tagits genom att studera ett antal i litteraturen funna modeller. De som valts ut är modeller enligt Norton, Bailey-Norton, Marin-Pao, Picket och Findley. Parametrarna i de olika modellerna har bestämts genom kurvanpassning av enaxliga prov på de aktuella grenrörsmaterialen. Resultaten visar att modellerna enligt Marin-Pao, Picket och Findley alla kan beskriva mätkurvorna nästan exakt. Problem uppstår dock med att man får parametrar som beror av både spänning och temperatur. Av dessa tre modeller anses Marin-Pao vara den bästa, då det är den av de tre som har minst antal parametrar. Utvärderingen ger vidare att Norton är den modell som är enklast, och beaktat över alla prover, den vars resultat bäst ansluter sig till mätdata. Valet görs att gå vidare med både Marin-Paos och Nortons modell.

De två aktuella modellerna har lagts in som subrutiner till FE-programmet ABAQUS. Tester av modellerna görs först på ett litet kubiskt element och sedan på hela grenröret. Jämförelser görs mellan Norton, Marin-Pao och den modell som används idag – ”Two-layer viscoplasticity model”. Såväl Marin-Paos modell som Nortons beskriver verkligheten bättre än den idag använda modellen och av de båda är Nortons modell den som mest tillfredställande speglar verkligheten. Det är dessutom den modell som är mest stabil och beräkningsmässigt effektivast. Som en rekommendation inför fortsatt arbete föreslås därför användning av Nortons modell, samt ett utökat antal krypprover.

The document contains a short biography of German composer Bernhard Krol, and discusses portions of three of his works that feature the horn. The works that are examined include Laudatio for solo horn, the "Miserere" movement from Krol's Missa Muta op. 55 for horn and organ, and "Toccata" from Horati de vino Carmina op. 30, which is scored for soprano (or tenor), horn, and piano. This document includes a performer's analysis of each portion, and examines the origins and compositional history of the motivic and melodic materials that Krol draws his inspiration from for these works. The author also describes some possible benefits from expanding a performer's analysis beyond the traditional parameters such as rhythm, harmony, melody, to include an examination of the historical lineage of the known source materials used by a composer.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the design and testing of the acoustic enclosure for the Inova hydraulic actuator. The purpose of this enclosure is the acoustic insulation of the actuator and its parts, to achieve better acoustic conditions when performing acoustic diagnostics on this device. The first part deals with the theoretical basis of acoustic enclosures, the possibilities of modelling of acoustic problems and market research in materials usable for enclosure construction. The second part deals with the analysis of actuator noise and the localization of noise sources in the laboratory. Subsequently, the choice of material and concepts of the acoustic enclosure was made. Then, the final design solution was selected. The final design solution was subjected to acoustic simulations to predict insertion loss and determine the dimensions of the enclosure. The manufactured enclosure was tested in a semi-anechoic chamber and finally on the Inova actuator. Finally, the measurement results and simulation results are compared with each other.

Abstract:

Övning är en helt central del av tillvaron för alla som aspirerar att bli professionella klassiska musiker och som med så mycket annat så finns det digitala verktyg avsedda för att underlätta och effektivisera denna process. I studien undersöktes hur applikationen Modacity i kombination med inspelning kan användas och om den erbjöd några fördelar resp. nackdelar under instuderingen av Capriccio da Camera av Berhard Krol. Studien kom fram till att övning med Modacity erbjuder en mängd fördelar gentemot traditionell övning. Framförallt så underlättar applikationens logiska arbetsflöde att uppnå ”flow” och leder till ökad effektivitet i övningen. Den är dock inte en helhetslösning för hela instuderingen av ett nytt stycke och vissa tekniska begränsningar gör att användbarheten minskar något. Sammantaget så är dock applikationen ett potent hjälpmedel och området med mobilapplikationer i övningen kommer säkerligen att fortsätta utvecklas i framtiden.
