Around 75% of all adolescents in Norway have been confirmed, and the Church of Norway and the Norwegian Humanist Association are the main providers of this ritual. In autumn 2020, however, Buddhist organizations in Norway co-operated for the first time in arranging a Buddhist confirmation. 13 young Buddhists participated. Considerable research has been done on confirmation as arranged by the Church of Norway, but the alternatives are under-researched.
